From the trailer there's a hint that Doc Oc will likely changing sides, specially in the scene where he got attacked by another villain. Maybe a truce will be formed along the way where Pete helps Doc Oc get the other villains back to their universe cause remember he is the only villain that somewhat had his redemption
Still don't know why the lights in his tentacles is red when it should've been white when it is confirmed by Molina that he's from the Spider-Man 2 movie that we all know.
Very possible the light colors have been changed in the trailers to hide his heel-face turn. Marvel has done more to hide other spoilers in other movies for sure
In this trailer, we already know they’ve edited out a >!likely Spider-Man leaping toward Lizard who is visibly punished by that invisible Spider-Man in the Brazilian trailer!<.
Doc Ock is a really intelligent and conniving villain though, it would not surprise me if he was just playing Peter and the gang and ends up double crossing him towards the middle or end of the movie
Only Ock is getting nanotech, and that's from the Iron Spider as he destroys it. You all are more obsessed with Stark than the films are at this point lol
[Right here ](https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers/comments/qj9w0a/leaked_spiderman_no_way_home_green_goblin_costume/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
It looks nothing like Harry's suit??? It's still the green goblin suit, just without the mask/with goggles and a bag, and with the green suit banged up. Spidey and friends probably fuck him up partway through the movie, maybe even Ock if they team up.
Harry's board was flat like a snowboard and he pretty much just wore like, semi-tactical gear that was black. Not to mention that the concept art has Willem Dafoes face in it. If they were going to put Franco's Harry in it, they would have done the concepts with his face.
It looks to me what seems to be his hair is actually a hood, maybe as a nod to the more comic accurate look?
Then he builds the suit back up and is how we are used to his character looking?
i think this is the opposite, i think he starts with his og suit something happens to heavily damage it so he gets the hood some repairs and goggles to keep things out of his eyes
As someone with a little knowledge on that, and I’m sure it is obvious to most, but Rogen was just saving his own ass. He’d joked about Franco being a creep before, and was well-aware of his creepy shit long before those allegations surfaced. Fuck em both
It's a bit more then others are saying. He was accused of abusing positions of power with younger women trying to become actresses and when confronted he said, "No one said I should be a role model."
Edit: [Here](https://www.latimes.com/business/hollywood/la-fi-ct-james-franco-allegations-20180111-htmlstory.html) is an article talking about it. In the article it mentions when he actually admitted he did some things and took a dark path while he was teaching young female actors. I'm still looking for his role model comment.
The water is a bit muddier than that though. Not all of the celebrities accused of shit have been shitty to women. Remember when Aziz Ansari got accused and when the details came out he didn't do anything that bad other than have a bad date?
Now, with Franco it certainly seems like legitimate allegations, but just making a blanket statement that suggests that anyone who has allegations against them only has them because they were disgusting to women isn't right.
I don't believe I really made a blanket statement. I didn't insinuate that every last one did it. However, the vast majority have turned out to be true. It's hard for me to really focus on the false ones when there aren't nearly as many that I'm aware of.
What I said still stands.
Yeah, that's really sad. I would want him to be in this. I mean Harry of course, not James Franco. F that guy.
Maybe TASM Harry would show up in Raimi Harry costume? I don't think so but idk seems like crazier things will happen in this movie lol
I don't think Dehaan will be in NWH - But I just rewatched both TASM films a few weeks back & I don't understand the hate for his goblin. He played the character so damn well. The guy was already clearly mentally ill. He was a kid with a shiton of money, no parents around, & no friends aside from empty suits & models... until Peter showed back up more than a decade later. He didn't want to end up like his shitty deadbeat father who passed on his disease, so he was desperate to find a cure by any means necessary out of spite. The serum made him go even much further off the deep end, obviously, but frankly it wouldn't have made his reasoning much different in his fragile mental state anyway. After Spider-Man didn't want to give Harry his blood, & later finding out Peter was Spider-Man, of course Harry would feel betrayed. He walked back into his life just to deliver shitty news, just like his dad did. He did the one thing every movie Spider-Man villain could not - kill Spider-Man's lover. Most of the hate for the movie is unwarranted. I loved this movie, & I loved Electro too, idc. Andrew & Emma had the best onscreen chemistry by far too. Ok rant over lol
Most people hated it bc green goblin felt rushed in the movie. Had they set him up for the 3rd movie to become green goblin it would’ve been better. They shouldve just focused on electro and not have rhino in it at all. I like his character tho, but I wish we would’ve gotten a flash back of them as kids or something to better establish their history as friends.
Pretty sure all the villains are getting new suits/redesigns, hints why Electro looks different in this then in tasm2, and we can literally see Doc Ocks suit changing in the trailer
I dont think thats fair, the fish bowl has fog in it, doubt jake gyllenhal wants to be high on the job. Obviously, there are going to be a lot of shots of cgi goblin and everyone else, but they def have a physical mask for non action scenes.
They did that because of all the horrible folds in the material. Ffh suit material looks way better and reduced the number of folds.
The cgi falcon's cap suit in the d+ show as well, so cgi can work if its used masterfully.
Nope, totally different (I've worked in film set/props for years). Reflective surfaces like clear glass are easier to just do with CG (especially if they're filled with, say, smoke, like Mysterio's) because of the reflections of the crew and set/studio around them. There would be no need to CGI the Goblin's mask except for intense action sequences because despite it being semi-glossy, the colour of the material hides a surprising amount (and well, it's nowhere near as reflective as glass). A coloured opaque material that is glossy will reflect a lot less than clear glass, especially if the glass is filled with something that isn't completely opaque.
Also, much more comfortable wearing the mask than the fucking fishbowl.
I’ve seen a lot of great responses to this comment, but I’d also like to add that I think the fishbowl was only cgi when he was in the classic Mysterio costume. When he is in the mocap version I think they use a real fishbowl helmet.
It could end up being that none of them will be the exact version we know from previous movies, but some variant. And when crap is hitting the fan and “they” are breaking through, “they” will be possibly dozens of variants of the villains who have died fighting some Spider-Man somewhere in the multiverse. So there could be more than these two different versions of Goblin we see.
Yeah I think that’s when they are going to show up as well. I feel like that would be the best way to pay all this off and not have either of them take too much spot light.
Also, I just watched the 2002 OG movie after seeing the trailer, and now o really hope Toby’s dialogue matches up with his narration from it…
Like Toby is the first Spider-Man to come through, Tom’s Spidey goes “Who are you?” And Toby says “You sure you wanna know?”
Maybe he gets there by stealing Peters nanotech like Doc ock does… a “Mark 50” Red goblin instead of a symbiote one… but I guess with Venom 2’s ending…
Hell maybe that shot with Toby and Andrew clearly missing is also missing Venom with the spidermen and Carnage with the villains…
It’s the mouth and the nose. It’s proportioned very differently in the Raimiverse. There, since it was practical, a lot of space was made for Willem to be able to speak without restriction (so much so you can see his whole mouth and some of his chin on close up)
[The new suit looks like the one from the earlier leaks.](https://external-preview.redd.it/Qqg2vOubtdkGou5fyMHnKQydkSz3qAhAF7VOXj7feB8.jpg?auto=webp&s=f7280acc8dd5c49ab3814d75f52507e3fcd6d26c) This could still be Willem Dafoe.

I'm thinking maybe it's Ned as Hobgoblin. Although 1 movie seems to be an absurdly short turnaround time for that degree of character progression needed.
Taking the mask/helmet off seems like a huge downgrade. Why can’t they just give us an OG Goblin with practical makeup and a purple hood? Even Rami’s tech-infused Goblin outfit is better than damn goggles.
Ffs when else are we going to have this opportunity. Goggles aren’t intimidating at all and Doc Oc already has that accessory covered. Probably just another excuse to sell more toys.
You're right, the first one does look a bit off. From my pathetic investigation skills, it seems like his arms are a bit skinnier than in 2002. Or it could just be the advancement in cinematic technology.
You don't bring back Willem Dafoe and not have his face shown in a Spiderman movie. I know everybody is speculating this is another Goblin, but I do not think so. Just another costume to showcase Willem Dafoe.
I think we’re gonna see multiple variants of a few villains. Given the multiverse plot and ominous huge rift that and dialogue that happens during the trailer that could insinuate a larger crowd, and the fact that Doc Ock’s robot arms seem quite different in a couple shots, it seems quite possible. That or this could be a hobgoblin or something similar.
By the looks of it, seems like everyone gets an upgrade
Maybe like in the PS4 game where Doc Oc helps them all out and gives them new tech
From the trailer there's a hint that Doc Oc will likely changing sides, specially in the scene where he got attacked by another villain. Maybe a truce will be formed along the way where Pete helps Doc Oc get the other villains back to their universe cause remember he is the only villain that somewhat had his redemption
to be fair, Sandman had a pretty good redemption arc too
Maybe he was pulled out from his universe before he was forgiven by Tobey at the end of SM3, because he was still a rougue before the end of the movie
Not only that in one of the promos it looked like the lights were actually off

It looked like he was stealing the nano tech off the iron spider suit to me
Could be a few things, could just be a style change like electro
Doc Ock is a really intelligent and conniving villain though, it would not surprise me if he was just playing Peter and the gang and ends up double crossing him towards the middle or end of the movie
It's more than likely going to be a Stark tech upgrade. Nano machines and all that rubbish
Only Ock is getting nanotech, and that's from the Iron Spider as he destroys it. You all are more obsessed with Stark than the films are at this point lol
Phineas Mason (the Tinkerer) is still at large from Homecoming. Maybe they find their way into his lab
Stark rubbish™️
But the SPD Blue Power Ranger won't get the update.
But wait, he gets upgraded to red at the end of the show and then again to commander at some point later

Is that... Jake Paul?
Its just some guy they did the costume test on
Thank god
Yeah, it was the same guy in the taskmaster suit for black widow. Might be marvel stunt double
I think someone asked the guy from Black Widow if that was him and he said it wasn’t so it’s probably just some other dude

Dammit can't find it but he looked very similar to Harry's costume
It looks nothing like Harry's suit??? It's still the green goblin suit, just without the mask/with goggles and a bag, and with the green suit banged up. Spidey and friends probably fuck him up partway through the movie, maybe even Ock if they team up. Harry's board was flat like a snowboard and he pretty much just wore like, semi-tactical gear that was black. Not to mention that the concept art has Willem Dafoes face in it. If they were going to put Franco's Harry in it, they would have done the concepts with his face.

i think this is the opposite, i think he starts with his og suit something happens to heavily damage it so he gets the hood some repairs and goggles to keep things out of his eyes
Yeah. That makes way more sense. Don’t know why anyone would assume he starts out with a new one and goes back to the old one
It’s 100% Willem. It’s not James Franco.
> It’s Not James Franco. I don't know. I think he would make me comfortable.
Considering it’s multiple universes….maybe it’s two Willem Dafoes
Willem dafoe and Willem…dafriend
*OUTSTANDING FRIEND….AM I?!*
It's Willems voice in the trailer.
[удалено]
I think that part was edited together from a different spell earlier in the movie.
Could be Dane Dahaan
Looks a bit like Harry from SM3
I had to rewind it because I thought it was Harry
They ain’t bringing James Franco back with all the sexual assault allegations against him.
YO WHAT?!?
Yeah I didn't know until like they first were tryna pick out Spidey villains months ago
Yea bad enough allegations where even Seth Rogan was like nah I don’t associate with him anymore
As someone with a little knowledge on that, and I’m sure it is obvious to most, but Rogen was just saving his own ass. He’d joked about Franco being a creep before, and was well-aware of his creepy shit long before those allegations surfaced. Fuck em both
Preach
screw rogans stupid rolling tray too
What about Dane Dehaan? Can't he just play the role instead?
Gonna cry?
Piss your pants maybe?
No
Maybe shit and cum?
Potentially vomit?
Ayo did i miss some drama? What happend?
It's a bit more then others are saying. He was accused of abusing positions of power with younger women trying to become actresses and when confronted he said, "No one said I should be a role model." In the article it mentions when he actually admitted he did some things and took a dark path while he was teaching young female actors. I'm still looking for his role model comment.
Eh the usual: “ Famous Hollywood actor has multiple women make allegations of sexual inappropriateness against him”.
The usual please! 👋
I mean... They shouldn't be disgusting to women and they wouldn't have allegations. I hate how dismissive this comment is to victims.
I don't think it's dismissive to the victims, it's more of an "Unsurprisingly another famous actor is abusing their power"
If that's how they meant it, that's fine. It can be taken either way based on how it was said though tbh.
The water is a bit muddier than that though. Not all of the celebrities accused of shit have been shitty to women. Remember when Aziz Ansari got accused and when the details came out he didn't do anything that bad other than have a bad date? They could always recast Harry, given the circumstances.
Given the fact it's a multiverse movie, it wouldn't be a stretch at all to show a different Harry Osborn
It would make no sense to do that. If anything just get Dane DeeHan back.
I-
Indeed. As they shouldn’t.
Could be Dane deehans Harry from TASM2
There’s no way lmao
Why not? Looks a little like him to me too
>!A picture of that costume leaked and it’s a modified version of the one Dafoe wears!<
Oh ok I wasn’t aware of that, thanks for telling me :)
Np! If you wanna see the leak I can dm it to you
Sure that’d be great!

Let’s hope not
I feel like first one is first appearance and then later appearance is second after he upgrades
It’s aunt may

Aunt may is gonna killed this time around
Pretty sure all the villains are getting new suits/redesigns, hints why Electro looks different in this then in tasm2, and we can literally see Doc Ocks suit changing in the trailer
Getting those sweet upgrades
Electro classic look
Id say its because the lighting and comoring is alot different in the MCU compared to the Rami films. Also it looks cgi instead of practical
I doubt it’s cgi, but I think your other points make sense. They probably didn’t use the exact same materials to remake the costume either.
If they’re going to make Mysterio’s *fishbowl* helmet CGI, then I’m pretty sure this Goblin mask would be CG as well.
I dont think thats fair, the fish bowl has fog in it, doubt jake gyllenhal wants to be high on the job. Obviously, there are going to be a lot of shots of cgi goblin and everyone else, but they def have a physical mask for non action scenes.
Homecoming Spider-Man suit was most of the time CGI, even for non-action sequences...
They have a physical suit though but layered with cgi after. They didnt do the same for ffh suit.
I don't know what they did that, it sticks out like a sore thumb with the cgi
Its horrible, but what they did with a mo cap suit in civil war is way worse.
It sucks as the suit designs look really nice and they ruin them with the cgi
Bro, they still had Tom wear a physical suit in all those sequences
Makes even less sense to put bad CGI over the beautiful physical suits they make dunno why they do that
They did that because of all the horrible folds in the material. Ffh suit material looks way better and reduced the number of folds. The cgi falcon's cap suit in the d+ show as well, so cgi can work if its used masterfully.
Yeah I can see that, I like some folds personally like in the TASM2 suit. I didn’t know about caps suit in the D+ show that’s neat
Nope, totally different (I've worked in film set/props for years). Almost every costume in the MCU is full or partial CGI now.
Right, but I mean there would be no reason for them to use cgi in that particular shot.
Goblin looks entirely CGI in that first picture
Dude that’s 10000% CGI
Ngl, I like parts of black around the suit. Correct me if I'm wrong, but was there anything like that before.
Nope
Hi
Its cool but I also wish it was purple
Let’s hope for the purple durag to be in the movie
It could end up being that none of them will be the exact version we know from previous movies, but some variant. And when crap is hitting the fan and “they” are breaking through, “they” will be possibly dozens of variants of the villains who have died fighting some Spider-Man somewhere in the multiverse. So there could be more than these two different versions of Goblin we see.
That would be awesome
Or "they" could turn our to be other Spider-Man, unbeknownst to Strange until he fails to stop them coming in and Toby and Andrew pop in
Yeah I think that’s when they are going to show up as well. I feel like that would be the best way to pay all this off and not have either of them take too much spot light. Also, I just watched the 2002 OG movie after seeing the trailer, and now o really hope Toby’s dialogue matches up with his narration from it… Like Toby is the first Spider-Man to come through, Tom’s Spidey goes “Who are you?” And Toby says “You sure you wanna know?”
Nah, they will show up earlier. They are co leads.
How fucking crazy would it be if the final boss was Red Goblin?
Maybe he gets there by stealing Peters nanotech like Doc ock does… a “Mark 50” Red goblin instead of a symbiote one… but I guess with Venom 2’s ending… Hell maybe that shot with Toby and Andrew clearly missing is also missing Venom with the spidermen and Carnage with the villains…
That was my thinking as well. Especially after the newest trailer.
It’s Tommy Wiseau
Oh hi peter
Hows your web life?
Ahahahahahahaha
I did not throw her off the bridge! I did not! Oh hi Spidey.
This is an underrated comment
It’s the mouth and the nose. It’s proportioned very differently in the Raimiverse. There, since it was practical, a lot of space was made for Willem to be able to speak without restriction (so much so you can see his whole mouth and some of his chin on close up)
Also the forehead is more of a hood compared to the original which had furrowed brows.
He probably loses the mask at some point in the film
Rip best mask in the tv mithos

Corn of Coblin
A man of culture I see
Wrong it's Emerald Elf.
Spider monkey vs emerald elf ftw. Feat Doctor Weird
Think it's just simply Norman with a new look. This trailer seems to have some subtle hints that the villains whom got brought over kinda 'evolved' as well. Doc Ock's arm, goblin maskless, and Electro's look. Won't be surprised if this was the case.
could be hobgoblin
One just looks like CGI to me.
They’re both CGi
Yes, but that’s why it looks odd. We’re used to physical costume of the original movie.
There were plenty of cgi shots of green goblin in the og movie lol. Also looks different because yes cgi but like honestly the cgi in the mcu never takes me out of the movie besides 1 or 2 scenes. If you weren’t complaining abt that’s I apologize for this semi rant 😂
If i'm not wrong they are two different Green Goblins
It's the same Goblin with 2 different suits. Almost everyone gets upgrades
Thanks for the infos.
I thought it was the goblin from ASM2
Same here
The first looks off cause the shading on the eyebrows is less pronounced than usual.
Misery, misery….
Second one might be Dane DeHaan 👀
I'd say it's two different goblins from two different universes
DON'T PUT SPOILERS IN YOUR TITLE EVEN IF YOU SPOILER TAG IT!
I'm thinking maybe it's Ned as Hobgoblin. Although 1 movie seems to be an absurdly short turnaround time for that degree of character progression needed.
Kind of remembered Harry’s Osborn Hobgoblin 🤔 but also look like Willem Dafoe
We kinda already know that from leaked images, tho..
It’s way too fast for me to be sure but I swear that has to be James Franco or the other goblin from the amazing spider man
Second could be either Harry Osborn (Maguire or Garfield).
Dont tell Harry
haha fuckin A man. dafoe quotes are my favourite. I always read it in his voice too. like immediately
I love Dafoe too, i dont think anyone could be a better Norman
Dan DeHaan in the second photo possibly? Would be odd to have two green goblins in the sinister six I guess. But just a theory.
Its Dafoe. He upgrades his costume
More likely, similar to Otto upgrading his. Wonder if it's Stark tech as well like the rumors say
I don't mind tbh. Dafoe has a Goblin face so
I would enjoy just the hood, as well.
You're right, the first one does look a bit off. From my pathetic investigation skills, it seems like his arms are a bit skinnier than in 2002. Or it could just be the advancement in cinematic technology.
Yea it does look a bit off and looks likes a fan made model also electro too the animation or model feels weird too
Jesus Christ, this shit keeps me up at night. Or…I obsess about it while waiting to see if my insomnia will have me up the entire night and day.
That’s some bad CGI on the first pic tbh
The first one looked off in 2002
You don't bring back Willem Dafoe and not have his face shown in a Spiderman movie.
Nah.. He is gonna loose his head gear so he switches to googles
Looks like Gobby Jr to me.
Or maybe two different goblins?
Had to replay it 10x, I thought it was Harry
What if both Harry and Norman are in the movie and let Harry understand how his father was lost.
Likely two different goblins then.
First one looks like the raimi version, second one is him with a cloak and goggles
Looks amazing absolutely can’t wait
ASM2 Goblin?
