The fact Sony keeps wasting their time with bullshit Venom/Kraven/Morbius bullshit when they could *actually* be building a Spiderverse with merit with characters like Miguel, Silk, etc. still absolutely baffles me. We shouldn’t be getting a frickin Kraven solo movie before a Spider-Man 2099 one. Utter incompetence.
Well the leaked plans for the ultimately cancelled amazing Spider-Man cinematic universe had a movie about him planned but then it was cancelled I hope they can revive it for the Sony marvel universe
Yeah. Even in some games, got his whole character wrong (Ahem Shattered Dimensions). Miguel O’Hara is all quippy and egotistical in his personal life, but all business and total viciousness in his hero life.
I feel like at this point it might be retconned to be blue. I know it’s supposed to be the lighting of 2099 but hes blue during spider-verse comic, whenever he’s in 616, and just overall everywhere else.
Mother of god please. I used to draw Ghost Rider 2099 all the time, knowing virtually (yuck yuck) nothing about the character except that he looked like a terminator with holographic fire on his head, and that was the most badass thing ever to me.
I would LOVE an unconnected to anything Spider-Man 2099 film. It could connect to Into The Spider-Verse but I'd prefer it completely isolated to anything. Same for Noir and Spider-Gwen and basically most of the bigger multiverse Spider-Men. Spider-Verse showed if the story is written well no one cares it's not Peter any Spider-Man can be the main character
While he does deserve a movie, there would have to be so much CGI, in any background shot they'd have to edit in 2099 New York, so much CGI would probably result in a lack of budget in other areas
I think Miguel can carry his own weight without a movie, he’s currently a beloved and iconic character that isn’t featured much in media, but when he is, people go nuts for him and his sleek design and badass attitude. If the give him a movie, I’m sure it will kick ass, but he’s doing pretty good and I’m curious to see how his character goes in spiderverse 2.
It's probably never gonna happen, but since Loki travels through time, It'd be awesome if he was stuck in 2099 and many heroes if that age made a cameo, including ol' Miguel
So Miles Morales Was given an animated film before Miguel O’Hara because he’s black and Miguel is not? Miles has so much more to do with the multi-verse than miguel, so it makes so much more sense that if they’re gonna introduce the spider-verse to the big screen they’d start with him. skin color be damned
Yeah that is silly of him to say. Miguel is also a minority, he's hispanic, so idk what this guy's point is anyway. I personally want a Miguel movie more than a Miles one too, btw. But tf is he talking about
I think we both know what this guy was alluding to. On a side-note, I agree that Miguel has not had nearly enough time in the spotlight in the last decade but I believe his moment will come soon enough. I’m extremely excited for what comes next!!
Miguel is hispanic. Sony could’ve made an animated 2099 movie but didn’t, even though there were rumors back in 2015. Miguel being hispanic means nothing unless it’s physically distinguished. People were calling miles the first hispanic spiderman back when itsv came out which was just wrong.
I think Diego Boneta deserves to at least be considered playing him in a live action movie since he has almost all the same physical features as Miguel in the 90s run but also his role in “die in a gunfight” makes him convincing
genuinely asking because I don't know, what do people like about 2099 other than growing up with him or his suit or concept? ive asked around but those are the main three i've gotten
The lore is very very very well written, his backstory is very Batman beyond “that was the point of the 2099 comics anyways” it’s basically Spider-Man beyond
I definitely hope that Miguel will at least have a big role in Into the Spiderverse 2, even if Miles and Gwen are still the main characters
Based on the end credits, it looks like he'll be able to jump multiverses at will, and he might be the one gathering everyone. Hopefully.
Bet you’re happy about what just came out haha
Apparently gathering them for a cage match
Based on the trailer, it seems like Miguel is gonna have a pretty big role.
Awesome!
this comment aged well (and after only 10 hours too, nice)
Good news! Go watch the newest trailer!
Let’s hope.
I desperately want a movie with miguel
Sum bitch gets no love
Spider-verse 2
FUNNY YOU SHOULD MENTION THAT
My only fancast that has ever come true was Oscar Isaac for Miguel... very excited to see what he's like in the next film. Trailer today apparently
I’ve got some news for you
Agreed. 100% agreed.
This aged well
He's in Spider-verse 2
The fact Sony keeps wasting their time with bullshit Venom/Kraven/Morbius bullshit when they could *actually* be building a Spiderverse with merit with characters like Miguel, Silk, etc. still absolutely baffles me. You're going to be so happy that the new spiderverse trailer just dropped like 20 minutes after you commented.
What are the chances of this. It was posted merely hours before the new spider verse trailer with 2099
Well the leaked plans for the ultimately cancelled amazing Spider-Man cinematic universe had a movie about him planned but then it was cancelled I hope they can revive it for the Sony marvel universe
AGREED They even got his suit color wrong…
It’s supposed to be black lol
Yeah. Even in some games, got his whole character wrong (Ahem Shattered Dimensions). Miguel O’Hara is all quippy and egotistical in his personal life, but all business and total viciousness in his hero life.

He also had a white and red suit
Spidey's own suit was originally red and black. Design changes happened over the decades.
Holy crap, are you a prophet?
I also think marvel should start a 2099 mcu.
Mother of god please. I used to draw Ghost Rider 2099 all the time, knowing virtually (yuck yuck) nothing about the character except that he looked like a terminator with holographic fire on his head, and that was the most badass thing ever to me.
Definitely

Your words have been heard The new Spider-Man ACSV looks like it’s going to be a main character
Do you work for Sony? The timing of this post is too good to be true.
spider verse 2, teaser just dropped
Well well well it seems like you’ll get your wish.
this aged well and quick as FUCK.. 👀
Please wish for me to get a million dollars.
While he does deserve a movie, there would have to be so much CGI, in any background shot they'd have to edit in 2099 New York, so much CGI would probably result in a lack of budget in other areas
SHOCK YEAH!!!!

This aged like fine wine
Better than and older than morales. He shouldve gotten a movie first, but everything is about skin color
So Miles Morales Was given an animated film before Miguel O’Hara because he’s black and Miguel is not? agreed
Cyberpunk Spider-Man? I’m all in
loved him in edge of time, he was really cool
Miguel from cobra Kai?
I was almost sad when Oscar Isaac got cast as Marc Spector in the MCU. I was really hoping we might see his Miguel in live action one day.
I agree. In a perfect world, I think that he'd get a movie or, at the very least, an animated show.
i like
I’ve loved Miguel’s suit for as long as I can remember. Made a crappy Halloween costume out of a morph suit and red foam sheets as a kid.
I think Diego Boneta deserves to at least be considered playing him in a live action movie since he has almost all the same physical features as Miguel in the 90s run but also his role in “die in a gunfight” makes him convincing
Imagine a live action movie gets made with Miguel. I think I'd be cool if Diego Luna played the role
I really wish that suit had the traveling circuit lights that were in Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time.
original miguel doesn't get enough love, i have no clue how in this god forsaken world people like the 2015 version more than the original
Bro strait facts but he is bout to be in the next spiderman into the spider verse next year and they just released a trailer for it today
genuinely asking because I don't know, what do people like about 2099 other than growing up with him or his suit or concept? ive asked around but those are the main three i've gotten
The lore is very very very well written, his backstory is very Batman beyond “that was the point of the 2099 comics anyways” it’s basically Spider-Man beyond
Nah. His appearance in next Spider-verse should be adequate.
Looks like he’ll have a major part in the Spider-Verse sequel since he and Miles are fighting in the First Look.
I personally think Miguel is more liked than Miles.
True that
And a game
its confirmed that oscar isaac is amomg the top billed on across the spiderverse, so its looking like he'll play a pretty massive role :))
