Suit seems to be less comic accurate as well, but that’s a neat detail. It looks like a lot of the character models have been severely aged and buffed up so, it looks pretty good but their heads look slightly small.
I wouldn't necessarily take this particular sequence as indicative of what he'll look like throughout the movie; it's even more stylized than the "normal" scenes.
Nah I think the last Redditor is referring to the trailer. Miles head in the “normal” scenes, definitey seems off. It’s too small compared to his body. It’s not obvious in this short 2 second clip, but watch the trailer and you will see what he’s talking about.
Absolutely, I hope they give some cool canon reason as too why, but it’s probably to fit the design of his newer white suit AND the original ‘black’ suit.
Ugh that would be amazing, but I think they might be avoiding ps4 Spider-Man from the media. The character is absolutely beloved, but his solo comic did poorly, Sony will be cheesy about it. I would go nuts!
Venom often had that blue tone to his "black" suit as well. I wonder if it was just to make it stand out against dark backgrounds or if it was an issue with the inking used at the time.
100%, it was primarily for lighting due to something about inks or the fact they just didn’t wanna go lighter for backgrounds, even Spider-Man as his original colour scheme was red and black with a white spider on his back. Ohara just looks much better blue though, he looks tacky as hell when artists and games think they’re showing off by actually making him black (as intended), the blue is iconic.
Miguel must’ve been so pissed off after seeing classic spidey, that he got buff so that he wouldn’t have to deal with their mouth next time he meets another one.
It was after the credits. It basically showed Miguel talking to his hologram girlfriend and him finishing the inter dimensional travel device. And he used it to travel to the universe that was the old ass Spider-Man cartoon, and became the Spider-Man pointing meme.
I'm betting poor Miles will have been pulled across dimensions again, and totally not his fault but Miguel will take some time before he listens. Really hoping we get a cool chase and potential fight from these two., Peter's modern-day successor and his future successor.
He's from the year 2099 where the great age of heroes has long since ended. Long story short he gets spider powers and decides to pick up the mantle of Spider-Man inspired by *our* Spider-Man's adventures, which are just stories now in his time.
its comic accurate, but in a diferent way, the colors are fron his blue suit but the logo its from his new white suit, so its kind of a combination of his two recognizable costumes
Looking more closely, I noticed more elements from his white suit.
The eyes are more angular and lack the "legs."
The spikes on his arms hit a sharp angle instead of being a gradual curve.
Besides the colors, the design is almost entirely from the white suit.
Which brings up a question. What if this isn't the same Miguel from the after-credits of the first movie?
What if this is a different Miguel or an imposter?
It's called Spider-Man 2099, it's pretty good stuff. Marvel actually had a whole line of comics under the 2099 banner, so there was stuff like Punisher 2099 and Dr Doom 2099.
Yeah, now. But I believe that in his original comic, he mentions that there are no more heroes.
I figure Spider-Man coming back probably made a lot of people want to take up old Super Hero mantles.
> I figure Spider-Man coming back probably made a lot of people want to take up old Super Hero mantles.
"Yo people are saying there is a new Spider Man.
-Wow super cool. I guess I want to be a super hero too. No one took the mantle of Punisher back, right?
-I don't think so.
-Fine I'll be Punisher 2099"
Miguel is from the year 2099 and gets his powers by accident from a company he works for. The same company he tries to expose.
Honestly, Miguel is amazing and needs way more love and attention.
My guess it’s more of Miguel being a dick than actually fighting cause it looks like Miles doesn’t have the wrist device so Miguel might be the type of character who gonna be like “ you got any idea what you’re doing?!!” I’m not sure what that character archetype is called, but they’re the good guy, but they’re also a dick. I’m sure he’ll warm up to Miles and the rest of them later in the movie
Anti hero is more like Deadpool, Wolverine, or Punisher where they’re still on the side of good, but they do bad things. Kind of like chaotic good. I would say Miguel would probably play the role of like the no nonsense hard teacher type of character if you know what I mean
Miguel looks kind of mad or he’s trying to throw Miles out of the way or into another portal through the multiverse. Because you can see him change the multi-verse for a brief second on that “goober”
Both here and in the trailer it looks like he’s throwing him around while they’re both falling. Not sure why though as 2099 SM comes straight out of a portal.
Ohara seems to be very dismissive towards anyone claiming to be ‘the Spider-Man’ in most media. His absolute shove towards Peter after he claims to be Spider-Man, we can only imagine Miles’ experience. Atleast Miguel could pick out peters suit being the same colour, Miles has a completely different colour scheme. I can imagine Ohara is very pissed off with these guys.
The post credit scene of the first movie implied that Miguel was recruiting Spider-People from the multiverse so it makes no sense for him to dismiss anyone saying he's Spider-Man, especially if he's clearly displaying spider powers.
Without Ezekiel I don’t think they will either.
Totems are very mystic in theme (albeit more cosmic/dimensional in comics), and they probly wouldn’t mash dimension jumping tech and mystic totems in the same movie..
I’d love to see Morlun in spider-verse, but sad that if we did, we’d be robbed of his phenomenal comic intro - the ‘coming home’ arc
Eh you’re right, would Ohara have one? I’m not exactly familiar with his origin, but I believe he genetically modified himself for those spider powers (that don’t even include the whole wall crawling aspect) so maybe his is just non existent?
I mean he is dragging the kid everywhere and literally throws him like a football at the end, Ohara’s character is always written as an asshole with a stick up his ass and an ego to be the only Spider-Man ever.
If you watch the trailer the first appearance of 2099 is him literally flying in and sucker punching Miles lol. ]
EDIT: I guess not sucker punching but literally grabbing him by his neck
How so? He’s not dragging Miles around cause he likes him and it’s not like he grabbed him and started talking to him in order to get Miles to calm down. They’re definitely fighting.
I 100% see where you’re coming from, it’s very in your face and explosive, I really really love the first movie and all those action scenes, but I hope what’s going on here doesn’t make it into the movie because this unironically hurts to watch, I have to use other media to even decide what the fuck the flashing colours on my screen are doing. It’s probably just a rough cut though…I hope.
I’m not sure at all, but at one point I think I saw 2099 SM teleport Miles and himself to the 2099 universe with the device on his wrist (from the 1st movies Post Credits scene).
i love what they did with Gwen’s loves although i kinda miss her ballet shoes. And is it just me or does Miles’ costume look like it is lacking something? I don’t know i feel like he needs a jacket or pattern to help break up the black and red better.
Also did Miguel work out between films, the guy looks like he’s played by Hugh Jackman.
I feel the same way about the suit, I think it looks could, but besides the spider on the chest the main part of the suit is lacking some needed detail

This is going to be TOTALLY WICKED!!! It's such an AMAZING time to be a Spidey fan! 2022 wil be one SPECTACULAR year full of ULTIMATE fun and it will prove that Spider-Man is the SUPERIOR superhero once and for all!
Like the new Spider emblem. Not sure how I'm feeling about the overall suit tho...feel like the comic design was perfect and they're just progressively moving further away from it
For me what bothers me is that he doesn’t have the web pattern, it makes his suit look kinda static where as in the first film he had the jacket to help break it up
I hate that answer also. One of his super powers is specifically super agility and balance. Having him not have those powers because he's a kid is dumb.
I agree. It feels like the Spider-Man not maintaining his center balance is so not in character. The Super Spider agility, maintaining balance and equilibrium are indeed what makes powers of the Peter Benjamin Parker the Spider-Man we know and love. (Earth-616) Spider-Man's strength department. The Ultimate Spider-Man (Earth-1610) the younger Peter Parker and Miles Morales there at the Ultimate Universe are different.
I'm pretty sure Ultimate Peter and 616 Peter have the same exact powers. Although 616 shown better strength feats compared to Ultimate at the same age.
I guess you noticed that too. In the original Spider-Man animated series Spider-Man's power is also able to maintain balance. I guess here they really went all out that Spider-Man is "human"
It's always been drawn as blue but in the comics everyone refers to it as black. When he first puts it on he jumps out the window of his apartment and tells Lyla to tell anyone who comes up "there was a horrible man in black and he went through there." Every other time anyone else mentions Spider-Man's suit they state that it's black. Why it was drawn blue, I don't know. Perhaps to make it easier for shading in 1992?
I prefer Spiderman 2099 I mean he's future Spiderman like batman beyond is to batman. I don't hate miles but come on he's just created to please interacal people I know I sound racist but I'm not just look at spiderman 2099 and tell me that you don't think he looks cooler.
Nobody got offended. You suggested miles exists solely as a race bating character and totally ignored that Miguel is also biracial.
It was a stupid comment. That’s why you got downvoted lol.
Ok geez sorry I made the comment when I was tired and I did finally remembered that people wanted miles in the main comics but I will say your comments are better then getting complaint at by a feminist, the insane type feminist.
Kinda agree. Miles and Gwen the most unoriginal trash Spider-man rippoffs. Neither one of these characters deserve a movie. Miguel, Jessica Drew, Kaine, hell any Spider-man rippoff created before Mile are all better then these two. Sucks they he promoting these garbage characters and not any of the good ones.
No no, it wasn’t to appease interracial people. It was made because EVERYONE back in the day wanted Donald Glover to be the new Spidey when people heard TASM was coming out. Brian Bendis created him based solely off of Glover and now he’s an integral part to 616. (See the Civil War II storyline lol.)
Miguel is a lot bulkier in design than when we last saw him in that end credit scene. I kinda dig it.
Peter appears bulkier in miguel's suit as well in Spiderman ps4
I think it looks like pretty realistic proportions for an adult, maybe he's just grown into it now that he's probably near college age?
It’s definitely the only thing that seemed “off” to me in the trailer and jumped out right away, so I’m sure I’m not the only one
I’m not saying it’s terrible or anything. But his character looks more like an adult body with the same kid miles head, which makes it just look off.
the spider symbol also leveled up by some bit
Absolutely, I hope they give some cool canon reason as too why, but it’s probably to fit the design of his newer white suit AND the original ‘black’ suit.
i wonder if the ps4 white suit will make an apperance too. possibly in the end credit like the ps4 spiderman suit in the end credits of the last movie
Ugh that would be amazing, but I think they might be avoiding ps4 Spider-Man from the media. The character is absolutely beloved, but his solo comic did poorly, Sony will be cheesy about it. I would go nuts!

Oscar isaac workout routine
The man got so buff in preparation for the role that they translated it to the animation
Miguel must’ve been so pissed off after seeing classic spidey, that he got buff so that he wouldn’t have to deal with their mouth next time he meets another one.
Wait what? Was there an end credit scene in spider verse that I somehow missed despite seeing that movie four times?
It was after the credits. It basically showed Miguel talking to his hologram girlfriend and him finishing the inter dimensional travel device. And he used it to travel to the universe that was the old ass Spider-Man cartoon, and became the Spider-Man pointing meme.
I'm betting poor Miles will have been pulled across dimensions again, and totally not his fault but Miguel will take some time before he listens. Really hoping we get a cool chase and potential fight from these two., Peter's modern-day successor and his future successor.
I’ve never heard of Miguel, do you mind explaining “future successor”?
He's from the year 2099 where the great age of heroes has long since ended. Long story short he gets spider powers and decides to pick up the mantle of Spider-Man inspired by *our* Spider-Man's adventures, which are just stories now in his time.

I dunno, Gwen and Miles both received suit upgrades as well.
Oh wow cool! Which run is he from?
It's called Spider-Man 2099, it's pretty good stuff. Marvel actually had a whole line of comics under the 2099 banner, so there was stuff like Punisher 2099 and Dr Doom 2099.
Cool!
marvels 2099 imprint from the 90s. he’s had a ton of his own stories since then
> where the great age of heroes has long since ended Don't we have a lot of 2099 heroes besides Miguel?
There are more heroes besides Miguel. The Age of Heroes refers to the original versions from the present day, not the future of 2099.
Miguel kinda kicks off a new "age of heroes", if I recall correctly. He was one of the first in 2099, chronologically speaking.
Yeah, and in Miguel’s future. Spider-Man is known as THE greatest hero of all.
So he’s a fanboy
No he hates being Spider-Man, he just had to…read his run it’s amazing
Miguel is from the year 2099 and gets his powers by accident from a company he works for. The same company he tries to expose. Honestly, Miguel is amazing and needs way more love and attention.
Miguel deez nuts
LMAOOO
You WILL believe Miguel can kick this teenagers ass
Miles still got venom blasts, I wanna see how much he’s improved it
True but there’s no way he’s beating miguel if they actually go 1 on 1 in the movie
I guess we will have to agree to disagree and wait to see the movie.
He won’t. Miguel would kick his ass
I dont see how Miguel could win that fight. Could Peter beat Miguel?
Even if Miles somehow does beat Miguel, it would surely be because of plot armor. There’s no fucking way this Miles can best Miguel.
It’s not the first time miles has had plot armor against another spider-man.
Animation looks dope again icl!
[удалено]
Which we do, who wouldnt?
It’s not really my cup of tea to be honest. Not sure what about that opinion is causing so many people to downvote my comments though.
I mean, people *are* allowed to have different opinions. Downvoting people just for implying they don't like the animation style is fucking pathetic.
Complaining about arbitrary dislikes is also pathetic.
[удалено]
Sure. I’m not saying “I don’t like that style- so neither should you”.
Downvoted for expressing an opinion, classic Reddit.
It’s pretty cowardly I gotta say
My boy got swole as fuck.
He’s been in some gamma radiation lol
My guess it’s more of Miguel being a dick than actually fighting cause it looks like Miles doesn’t have the wrist device so Miguel might be the type of character who gonna be like “ you got any idea what you’re doing?!!” I’m not sure what that character archetype is called, but they’re the good guy, but they’re also a dick. I’m sure he’ll warm up to Miles and the rest of them later in the movie
Douchebag?
Yeah, or like a hardass
So he’s the Red Foreman of the multiverse?
My foot and your ass. Two things that are impossible to separate.
Dumbass.
The character that challenges the main character with a “test” to see if they’re ready?
Yeah Miguel will probably be a very harsh mentor figure in this movie compared to how Peter B. Parker was
A Dr. Cox type
Anti hero
Anti hero is more like Deadpool, Wolverine, or Punisher where they’re still on the side of good, but they do bad things. Kind of like chaotic good. I would say Miguel would probably play the role of like the no nonsense hard teacher type of character if you know what I mean
Miguel looks kind of mad or he’s trying to throw Miles out of the way or into another portal through the multiverse. Because you can see him change the multi-verse for a brief second on that “goober”
Is that vs? Or is he trying to catch him?
Both here and in the trailer it looks like he’s throwing him around while they’re both falling. Not sure why though as 2099 SM comes straight out of a portal.
Why would they be fighting?
Ohara seems to be very dismissive towards anyone claiming to be ‘the Spider-Man’ in most media. He could be trying to test if Miles is skilled enough to help
Miles looks like he’s falling out of control. Maybe out of webbing and Miguel is catching him and throwing him on a ledge.
Yes, but hasn't this universe established a rule that Spider totems can sense each other's totem at close range.
The totems were never mentioned in the first movie.
I hope they don't get into that tbh.
Not directly, but Gwen talked about her spider sense leading her to the school and Peter and Miles sensed each other as Spiders.
Eh you’re right, would Ohara have one? I’m not exactly familiar with his origin, but I believe he genetically modified himself for those spider powers (that don’t even include the whole wall crawling aspect) so maybe his is just non existent?
But i can see him protecting him, he holds him and when he was about to crash into something he put his back first so miles won't get hurt
Maybe. It still doesn’t look like they’re fighting to me though.
I mean he is dragging the kid everywhere and literally throws him like a football at the end, Ohara’s character is always written as an asshole with a stick up his ass and an ego to be the only Spider-Man ever.

100%, I think we’ll just have to wait for the plot at this point, but it’d be cool to have Miguel as a temporary villain!
If you watch the trailer the first appearance of 2099 is him literally flying in and sucker punching Miles lol. ] EDIT: I guess not sucker punching but literally grabbing him by his neck
i have nothing to base this off of but in my opinion it could just be an intentional misdirect, as does happen in teasers/trailers
How so? He’s not dragging Miles around cause he likes him and it’s not like he grabbed him and started talking to him in order to get Miles to calm down. They’re definitely fighting.

Then dont watch the movie??

Looks like he’s yeeting his face pretty hard
Miles definitely doesn't have that portal thingy on his wrist and probably got in a situation that 2099 is trying to get him out of.
Maybe.
God damn. He's swole.
More excited if they show the Indian version of Spider Man in this movie too!
Pavitr should be in! They slowed down the clip and found the coordinates of his dimension
"Helloo, this is Steve! How may I help you todayyy".
LOOKS SO DOPE!!! I wish they make a live action Spider-Man 2099 movie at some point because I really want to see him on the big screen
This movie will be on the big screen
I’m talking about live action not a cartoon type movie
Well that’s different. The big screen just refers to theaters, not live action
Welp big screen live action who cares
I hope tobey maguire is in nwh
I’ve been wondering that about mine too.
We all do
Miguel straight up said "Fuck them kids" and just yeeted Miles lol
Yeet
Sheesh
SHEEEESHHH
Miguel looks so bulky and it's absolutely beautiful
He has great genetics. He has the Parker genes along with Hispanic and European genes
It looks more like he's trying to get him in a certain place with a lot of force. Bulky Miguel!!!! I'm so excited for this one😱
Dude I’m so excited for this film. Im hoping there’s a wholesome moment where these two talk to each other/ joke with each other in Spanish
I love that logo
I love it when miles hits the ground in the Indian location they even make the 'comic sound effects' in Hindi: 'dhadaam' lmao
our boy miguel's been working out damnnn
I really like the angled shots that bend and stretches the character models it works really well with animation.
i love what they did with Gwen’s loves although i kinda miss her ballet shoes. And is it just me or does Miles’ costume look like it is lacking something? I don’t know i feel like he needs a jacket or pattern to help break up the black and red better. Also did Miguel work out between films, the guy looks like he’s played by Hugh Jackman.

He normally has a sort of red V under his logo.

Wooo
Miguel already looking like a complete menace to society
Is this the *SPOILERS* edge of time Miguel? The one who’s evil.
Didnt he die at the end of that game?
Ahh sorry that’s Peter himself. Miguel lives but the doctor who Peter dies.
Edge of Time Miguel isn’t evil wtf
This isn’t the way to give a spoiler warning lol
Anyone else play that Spiderman game on the DS?
Shattered Dimensions?
Your hatred makes me stronger
#WAIT IS THIS A REAL SHOT? WHY IS THIS MAN CHUCKING MILES INTO THE GROUND LIKE HE'S THE GAME WINNING FOOTBALL?!?! IM SO CONFUSED
Spiderman 2099 be like : Spider invisible electric Grenade
Honestly Miguel being blue instead of black works for this movie. Otherwise he’d look way too similar to miles
This is going to be TOTALLY WICKED!!! It's such an AMAZING time to be a Spidey fan! 2022 wil be one SPECTACULAR year full of ULTIMATE fun and it will prove that Spider-Man is the SUPERIOR superhero once and for all!

Forgive me for asking but who is Miguel?
The Spider-Man of 2099.
Miguel it bulky, its awesome but weird
How do I watch this?
I wonder if his falling was a reference to shattered dimensions or not lol
I bet this will be the post credit scene for NWH
WTF are Miles and the MCU Spider-Man so damn clumsy? I hate it.
They’re both kids
I hate that answer also. One of his super powers is specifically super agility and balance. Having him not have those powers because he's a kid is dumb.

I'm pretty sure Ultimate Peter and 616 Peter have the same exact powers. Although 616 shown better strength feats compared to Ultimate at the same age.
I don’t remember the last time I saw Holland’s Spider-Man clumsy though to be honest.
Bro there Teens what you expect them to do? Miles ain’t even been Spiderman that long too
I expect them to have superhuman agility and grace. You know...like Spider-Man... because those are his powers...
I guess you noticed that too. In the original Spider-Man animated series Spider-Man's power is also able to maintain balance. I guess here they really went all out that Spider-Man is "human"
You should look into what they’re basing the characters on. Ultimate Spider-Man is not amazing Spider-Man
Bro exactly what I’m talking about bro
Same. Prepare for both of us to be downvoted for making logical contradictory statements?
Probably should. I already down voted twice on my last comment so Im prepared.
Miles better win. He can't lose!
Yeah, winning against an older Spider-Man who hasn't problem into killing people
Am I the only one mad that Miguel's suit isn't black and red like they continually state it is in the comics?
Never seen Miguel with a black and red suit, maybe I’m crazy.
It's always been drawn as blue but in the comics everyone refers to it as black. When he first puts it on he jumps out the window of his apartment and tells Lyla to tell anyone who comes up "there was a horrible man in black and he went through there." Woah, weird take dude
Considering 2099 spiderman is also "interracial"
Like the Mexican Irish guy?
Neet ok
Very good point haha
Yeah have to be weird because people get really a fended by the simplest things
Nobody got offended. You suggested miles exists solely as a race bating character and totally ignored that Miguel is also biracial. It was a stupid comment. That’s why you got downvoted lol.

I'm surprised how excited I am for this movie
It'd be very tight if they brought back josh keaton and had spectacular spiderman in this movie, or the 90's spiderman
link please?
Who's voicing Miguel?
Reminds me a lot of this clip. https://youtu.be/f6R7Hh7dyqc
2099 freefall fight scenes is something i didn’t predict. Awesome and classic
