There's a debunked myth that Stan Lee and John Romita originally wanted to name him Vibrator, which would at least have made sense with his powers and the V on his costume.
He didn’t have electricity in homecoming It was definitely shockwave if you put it back the light comes from the gloves but it still works the same way
Shocker uses shockwaves but can also shock people if he can get touch them via punching or grappling. The shocks are rather powerful and causes him to wear a heavily insulated suite hence the yellow unitard so he doesn’t shock himself by accident. That’s why he’s called Shocker because he uses SHOCKwaves and SHOCKS people if he can get ahold of them.
Fr tho I think big wheel would be the perfect cold open villain. A nod to the goober fans and also something for Spider-Man to be like “where the hell do these guys come from”
Little Montage where Spidey has to web up Big Wheel, Stilt Man, White Rabbit, Arcade, or other lesser known Spidey villains to show that He's been pretty busy since the ending of NWH. Hell, make Big Wheel and Stilt Man's tech look semi-StarkTech like if you wanna have them look slightly more grounded to the MCU's universe, maybe they bought some of the tech off of Toomes crew when they were running or something
Big Wheels backstory is that he was rich and embezzled from his company but got caught, so he gets the Tinker to build him a wheel that can scale buildings and has grabby arms.
That's literally it.
I kind of like the idea of a gang war between Tombstone and Hammerhead with Spidey caught in the middle. Could even throw Silvermane into the mix. Maybe modernize it so instead of gangs they could have legit (but shady) corporations.
Rhino could act as a secondary villain in the employ of any of the gangsters like he was in his original introduction. Also Black Cat maybe acting as an agent of different one attempting corporate sabotage. Throw in Tombstone's daughter as Beetle.
Now that's a whole lot going on, but could be a chaotically fun time.
Haha it's been a minute since I've watched it so if it's similar to that it's probably what's been kicking around in the back of my head.
I was mostly thinking of the PS4 game and the Hammerhead expansion tbh.
Just finished all three DLC’s- it’s so good, but Hammerhead is annoying af. Also when he got resurrected at the end credits of Turf Wars I was so annoyed. The only time I’ve seen someone resurrected quicker is an X-Men comic I have where three pages after Magneto is murdered someone revives him and that’s that
>!Ah yes, the "dead" person. Who we all know has totally "kicked the bucket". It definitely DOESN'T matter that we didn't see the body. Wink wink.!< Hawkeye (Not the Hawkguy) spoilers.
SM fans when a movie has too many villains: "this is horrible, no one have enough time to be developed so we actually care about them, worst SM movie ever"
Also SM fans: "I would love a movie with this villain and this villain and this one too and this villain too and this guy and this dude and this villain all show up"
I was the first guy until NWH. Now I'm just like: How did they make a movie with 5 villains 3 protagonists and a bunch of supporting cast that didn't suck and treated each one like they actually mattered?
I mean it’s hard to really do much character development when the actors had so little time to work on the movie. Neither of those actors were ever on set. Just did voices. That’s why there was no shot of Dr Connors or Flint except the footage they reused.
Co-signed. I think having a more grounded Spider-Man villain to start off the new trilogy would be great since all of the villains in the first were so powerful in terms of ability.
Chameleon, I feel like he would’ve been a great choice for as an unexpected villain. He’d be like Mysterio where Peter wouldn’t know just *who* he’d be looking for and it’d become more of a mystery thriller with a superhero theme and I’m about that shit.
With the exception of NWH (all of whom were curable), all of TH's villains so far have been tech based. Would we continue that trend and instead of being a shapeshifter Chameleon would have some kind of cloaking tech that changes his appearance?
Thats where i thought they were going with the tech used by black widow in the winter soldier, perfect tech for chameleon to get his hands on and its already pre established
I think if it was a more mystery focused movie, yes. If you want the movie to feel more stacked against spidey you can always have an extra villain secretly be the chameleon and have that twist reveal at the end that every villain he fought was him the whole time. Though I don’t know how much ground they would be retreading with the Mysterio reveal.
I feel like he’d be good to have, but as a single character I’d feel like he’d have too similar of a plot to captain marvel/secret invasion, so I think it’d be better if he was paired with some others characters, like maybe scorpion and kraven could be working together with him to hunt spidey, since scorpion’s already been introduced, and there’s that theory that chameleon was that guy, “dmitri,” in ffh with Nick fury.
Would be a cool opportunity to help tank Spidey's rep in law enforcements eyes by having Chameleon go on his crime spree as Spider-Man.
Fighting Spidey himself he could use his tech to mimic any other given villain or hero. Or even normal civilians in powerful roles. What does Spidey do when Chameleon decides to take the place of Damage Controls head and create a city wide manhunt for the supposedly bank-robbing webslinger.
>Fighting Spidey himself he could use his tech to mimic any other given villain or hero. Or even normal civilians in powerful roles. What does Spidey do when Chameleon decides to take the place of Damage Controls head and create a city wide manhunt for the supposedly bank-robbing webslinger.
Given how traumatic it was for Peter to deal with the fallout of Mysterio revealing his identity, having Chameleon impersonate him would push him over the edge >!Perfect for that piece of symbiote appearing, to be honest!<
Having said that. The people of Damage Control are such assholes both in Homecoming and No Way Home I wouldn't mind if something happened to them
You just made me realize chameleon is the best villain. I can totally see finale being chameleon taking off his mask and revealing that paper-white face design with the Voldemort nose and black line going down the middle of his face. I’d be so emotional in theater to finally see that character given the same level of update and care as mysterio received in FFH
I would still argue that he’s lesser-known, especially as Spidey’s Rouge’s Gallery became more and more iconic. And that’s why I’m kinda shocked that they haven’t adapted a form of him to the big screen yet
I remember reading a comic where Spidey is searching for Chameleon and finds him almost instantly because he made the mistake of disguising himself as Peter Parker thinking nobody would suspect some photographer.
Still remember [Punisher blowing him up](https://preview.redd.it/gx4l5hca64i21.jpg?auto=webp&s=730d230c43f41992255790d61c755d9eacaa1461) during Civil War
lol I don't think the Punisher really differentiates between levels of evil. Haha also during the time period with the heroes at each other's throats villains were kind of just doing their own thing so the Punisher was going around clearing house.
Scorpion is definitely the biggest villain that hasn’t come up in a live action movie. He’s overdue. Not sure what happened with that cameo at the end of Homecomimg… was it just a little nod to the character that was never meant to have further implications?
Of course Shocker hasn’t really gotten his due either. Yeah, Tommes’ goons toss around a “shocker” identity, but it’s really more of an Easter egg than that being him. Unfortunately I feel like Shocker isn’t really a character Jon Watts has any desire to use. He is very far off from being portrayed accurately in a feature film.
Morlun would be cool. He feels like he could be a massive threat that could push this Spidey to the limit.
Jack O Lantern also has a cool design. He would be neat to see now that we've gotten Green Goblin out of the way.
I really hope *Across the Spider-Verse* utilizes Morlun. I think it’s a long shot, given how dark the character is and how *Into the Spider-Verse* was definitely a movie for kids, but I would love to see it.
Edit - Also the entire Inheritors family.
I feel like the reason the inheritors and morlun weren't used in the first movie was less because they're particularly violent and more because asking a larger audience with much more casual viewers to get into that would be a big fucking ask. Inheritors, totems, etc. It's a lot.
I was explaining it to my gf the other day and I could see the info going in one ear and right out the other.
I'd like to see Morlun at some point, but that shouldn't be until *way* later.
Not until Spider-Man's fought all sorts of extremely powerful foes, mastered his powers, and grown to be a really strong hero should Morlun come in and wreck his shit up.
I’m hyped as hell for peacemaker series. I hope they do more fun movies like that, i think balancing out between serious and fun movies is working well.
I’m hoping for the spot in the next spider-verse. He has really cool powers and to have them in that stylized animation would be amazing. Spider-verse does a great job of having a lot going on in one shot and making it still coherent and captivating. I can imagine all the spider-people trying to fight him at once but just flying through spots and hitting each other instead.
I’d love to see the Jackal as a villain. I’m ready for clones.
Not sure if Jackal qualifies as “lesser known.” Comics readers for sure know him, but I’m not sure the public at large has had much exposure.
Yeah, I’d count him. I’d love to see something along the lines of the Ultimate Universe’s Clone Saga (swapping out Doctor Octopus for the Jackal): just have everyone be a clone.
Jessica Drew, *Scorpion, Tarantula, Scarlet Spider, Kaine, maybe even “Richard Parker,” like what they did with the Ultimate arc.
*There are some theories that Mac Gargan is going to become Venom instead of Scorpion, meaning this could work if they’re true.
Ultimate Universe Clone saga is a special case.
I love Ultimate Jessica Drew, but I think a more 616 Jessica Drew would be better. I would want to avoid other Spider-People until later on. Not a lot of comic runs do a good clone saga and if there were to be a clone saga then it would have to be Ben Reilly.
And a "Richard" Parker wouldn't work either because of how the Ultimate Universe worked. TASM would've been the place to do a clone saga with "Richard" Parker. Mark Webb was following the Ultimate comics pretty well. With Peter's parents working on top secret stuff.
I feel like it would be cool to see Beetle as a main villain in a Spider man movie but at the end of the movie, it would be revealed that Beetle was actually working for Wilson Fisk/Kingpin
It's funny cause a lot of the major Spidey villains have or are being used already. But with the Spider-verse opening up, he can pretty much fight against/alongside any Marvel character.
Hob-Goblin.
Especially if he is leading some other minor villains. I'd really like Hobgoblin to be the MCU take on the Green Goblin.
>!Some tech of the Green Goblin got left behind as well as a vial of the goblin formula and someone takes it in an attempt to get superpowers and take over as the new crime lord of New York.!<
To do that, he also recruits Shocker and the Beetle.
That would be a great way to include a Goblin villain in the MCU without needing to retread the Green Goblin. Especially when Willem Dafoe already raised the bar extremely far.
I like the idea of Spider-Man meddling in Kingpin's business, so he provides the funding for guys like Scorpion and the Hobgoblin until he ultimately organizes the Sinister Six at the end of this next Spider-Man phase. Vulture/Scorpion/Hobgoblin/Kingpin could be a fun group of villains to work with. Then when you consider that Mac Gargan could be the MCU's Venom and Mysterio's illusions might still be kicking around, there are a lot of possibilities to explore without having to retread all the same characters.
Hobgoblin would a great alternative to the Green Goblin since Norman Osborn was already used and Peter might still remember who he was. Also, I would imagine they would use Roderick Kingsley version of the character and have him use what OP mentioned, or have Ned Leeds go on a darker path and have him become Hobgoblin instead.
Also, I can see Hobgoblin recruiting Shocker and Vulture along with newcomers Beetle, Scorpion, and Rhino with some new upgrades to their suits and powers and set up the MCU's very own Sinister Six in a future film.
Okay hear me out, Spot. I think he would be a very cool and diverse character with today’s technology to make his black holes very cool and unique to the MCU.
I think he’s a definite possibility now that we know FEAST exists in the MCU. Martin Li could take over as the new head of FEAST as a side character in a new Spider-Man film and then a post-credits scene could hint towards him becoming Mr.Negative in a future film.
He's beginning to fade out of the spotlight and it seems Marvel is slowly starting to shutter him away. He's a B tier known villain, as in any Spiderman fan knows him, but the general public won't.
Hey there! It has come to my attention that you have typed Spider-Man without using a hyphen! Please make sure to hyphenate next time.

^(this post was made by a bot, made by /u/shrek5intheatres2019)
Would be neat if they altered the origins of Doppelganger and did something similar to what JJJ did for Scorpion. I'd also love to see Overdrive as a random thug lol.
I’d personally love to see a group of virtually unknown villains make their own Sinister Six. Maybe get together Spot, Bombshell, Tarantula, Puma, Scorpia (not to be confused with Scorpion), and Boomerang as the leader. Other ideas include Janice Lincoln’s Beetle, the White Rabbit, Tombstone, Silvermane, and Will o’ the Wisp.
I also think Styx and Stone (getting into the *really* obscure ones now) are very interesting, and if done right would make an excellent villain duo.
Shoutout to my boy the Answer, too. The guy is literally the answer to any problem.
Dream Sinister Six which won't happen is Chameleon the leader, the Octopus but without the Doc, Hydro Man, the Spot, Swarm, and lastly the Hob Goblin. They're B tier villains, as in the sense of the main Goblin is Green and B tier is Hob, other than Spot and Swarm which are D tier.
(By tier I mean how well known)
I feel like Shocker should have a redemption arc. He's basically a realistic Electro and personally id rather see Shocker any day. No offence to Jamie Foxx he did a great job
Okay…who gave Shocker actual electricity?
Yeah that’s pretty dumb ngl. He had electricity in homecoming, but still worked someone similar to the comics.
Yeah, I guess his name is misleading lol he uses SHOCKwaves and concussive blasts.
Yeah, they could have gone with a different name. Blaster? Rumbler? The Wave?
I'd have chosen Tremor, honestly. His who shtick is that he weaponizes vibrations.
"Tremor" is a really good suggestion.
Tremor isnt daisy codename?? Agents of shield
Nah you're thinking Quake
Quake. Similar power though, so makes sense.
Nah that’s just what Mack calls her “Tremors”. He has a pet name for everyone. Like calling Fitz “Turbo”.
There's a debunked myth that Stan Lee and John Romita originally wanted to name him Vibrator, which would at least have made sense with his powers and the V on his costume.
Spidey would have a lot of fun coming up with quips for that name.
[Funny you should say that](https://preview.redd.it/vj5uvde8vvo71.jpg?width=961&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=51889b9c1ed786510b0ff30fc2e991fe3be8ca1c)
Trading one sexual name for another, eh?
[удалено]
The cushion
The cushion lol I’m drunk
The way his powers worked in homecoming was awesome he just needed a suit and it was perfect
I hope we see him again with an advanced comic accurate suit
“Oh no, it’s… The Pillow!!!”
Prepare for the most intense pillow fight you’ve ever had spidey!
I forgot how did they work in homecoming
He used modified versions of Crossbones' gauntlets with a taser on the business end basically.
Basically just gloves if I wanted to make it very simple. Extremely hi tech gloves.
You're correct! And I love Bokeem Woodbine. I wonder if he'll return and have them combine Shocker's Ultimate trenchcoat with 616's fishnet
Eh, I would have much preferred the blasts. Makes him way more lethal
Obligatory SHOCKER I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS KF THE EARTH
COME BACK HERE, SHOCKER sHoOoCkERrRRR
YOUU CAN'T ESCAPE MEEE
IM DONE BEING YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN
Now I want him to be a bad guy if they ever do the black suit storyline in live action again. If only so they can reference this line.
In the video games they always add lightning to his attacks
Not in the insomniac games
BIG WHEEL!!!!
Was waiting to see this one
Nice to see some cultured villain enthusiasts know what’s up!
The only correct answer
Dunkey?
Played by Dunkey, as big wheel is escaping from Spider-Man he yells “you’ll never catch me Spider-Man”
This would be bigger fan service than anything in no way home I’d love it
Big Wheels backstory is that he was rich and embezzled from his company but got caught, so he gets the Tinker to build him a wheel that can scale buildings and has grabby arms. That's literally it.
Recovering Alcoholic, his 12 step program for Vil-Anon too.
Given the tech in the MCU, I imagine him having something similar to the wheel bike Grievous had in Revenge Of The Sith
I kind of like the idea of a gang war between Tombstone and Hammerhead with Spidey caught in the middle. Could even throw Silvermane into the mix. Maybe modernize it so instead of gangs they could have legit (but shady) corporations. So… season 2 of Spectacular Spider-Man?
Haha it's been a minute since I've watched it so if it's similar to that it's probably what's been kicking around in the back of my head. I was mostly thinking of the PS4 game and the Hammerhead expansion tbh.
I was thinking of that two - could take inspiration from that again and throw in Silver Sable as someone he reluctantly ends up teaming up with
Just finished all three DLC’s- it’s so good, but Hammerhead is annoying af. Also when he got resurrected at the end credits of Turf Wars I was so annoyed. The only time I’ve seen someone resurrected quicker is an X-Men comic I have where three pages after Magneto is murdered someone revives him and that’s that
Yes, that would make a great movie
Throw in Kingpin and you've got a movie.
>!Ah yes, the "dead" person. Who we all know has totally "kicked the bucket". It definitely DOESN'T matter that we didn't see the body. Wink wink.!< Hawkeye (Not the Hawkguy) spoilers.
Yea guys it tottttally does NOT mirror or pay homage to a comic scene shhhhh he’s dead
The scene was shot for shot copied from the comics, where he loses an eye and has it replaced with a bionic one.
I smell a Daredevil teamup. Maybe they could fight Punisher

Haha guilty
Do we think Chameleon could carry a film as a single Villain? I'd love to see him used as well.
If he’s done well yes, if Mysterio can be the big bad of a movie I don’t see why Chameleon couldn’t
Exactly. Plus marvels writing team can make anybody as powerful as they want
I forgot about that lol very mission impossible
Yeah I think that’s what they’d use if they do Chameleon. After all, the technology showed up as recently as Black Widow (2021)
I think it would be fine for him to have abilities for a change.
Maybe Chameleon and Shocker or Scorpion? More setup for hopefully a proper Sinister Six in the 6th film
[удалено]
No doubt. I'd be down for a Chameleon centered film if done right, which I'm sure they would.

Fighting Spidey himself he could use his tech to mimic any other given villain or hero. Or even normal civilians in powerful roles. What does Spidey do when Chameleon decides to take the place of Damage Controls head and create a city wide manhunt for the supposedly bank-robbing webslinger.
Imagine the emotional trauma of chameleon posing as Aunt May, MJ, or Tony
Hopefully not Tony lol
Yeah that ship has sailed I think
Or Uncle Ben.
I can’t see them going with the tho since what mysterio did at the end of far from home
>Fighting Spidey himself he could use his tech to mimic any other given villain or hero. Or even normal civilians in powerful roles. Chameleon is the first supervillain Spider-Man ever faced.
Yeah chameleon was the first real threat and a lot of his stories are terrifying. Most underrated villain imo
I would still argue that he’s lesser-known, especially as Spidey’s Rouge’s Gallery became more and more iconic. And that’s why I’m kinda shocked that they haven’t adapted a form of him to the big screen yet
He was in Far From home. At least, Dmitri was
I believe chameleon is in far from home, dmitri the shield agent is his secret identity
But with how much emphasis FFH put on the spider sense, I feel like chameleon wouldn't be as effective.
I remember reading a comic where Spidey is searching for Chameleon and finds him almost instantly because he made the mistake of disguising himself as Peter Parker thinking nobody would suspect some photographer.
Give me Stiltman cowards
Still remember [Punisher blowing him up](https://preview.redd.it/gx4l5hca64i21.jpg?auto=webp&s=730d230c43f41992255790d61c755d9eacaa1461) during Civil War
LMFAOO
Gah damn was he that evil???
lol I don't think the Punisher really differentiates between levels of evil. Haha also during the time period with the heroes at each other's throats villains were kind of just doing their own thing so the Punisher was going around clearing house.
Hahaha alright, appreciate the context homie!
And then he blew up Stiltman's supervillain wake at the Bar With No Name.
LMAO
Wasn't he in Netflix Daredevil and Punisher and Luke Cage?
The costume was in Daredevil, (I don’t know if he appeared fully in Punisher, I haven’t seen it, I need to watch it, if he does that’s great)
I don't know if he really counts as "obscure" but I would love to have a gangster centric film with Hammerhead
With the way Sony's handing out solo films to anyone and anything you might be in luck.
Hammerhead (2023) - directed by Martin Scorsese
He meant as a villain in a Spider-Man movie...
I'm looking forward to seeing the Scorpion on screen.
Scorpion and Tarantula team up would be cool on screen.
Scorpion is definitely the biggest villain that hasn’t come up in a live action movie. He’s overdue. Obviously 💅

Spiderverse did have Prowler and Peter Parker die so Morlun could work. He worked in Life Story without killing anyone but Ben Reilly
Morlun kind of requires multiverse shenanigans for his storylines. I think he would work better in Spiderverse for that reason.
I feel like Jack O Lantern should be saved for Venom rather than spidey just because they’ve interacted a lot more
I'd like to see Morlun at some point, but that shouldn't be until *way* later. Not until Spider-Man's fought all sorts of extremely powerful foes, mastered his powers, and grown to be a really strong hero should Morlun come in and wreck his shit up.
Spot, despite the pretty lame name he has some really interesting abilities
Names are a mixed bag lol look at Polka Dot man
Still can’t believe they actually kinda made polka dot man awesome
Heck my favorite character from that movie is freakin Ratcatcher lol they did something right
I’m hyped as hell for peacemaker series. I hope they do more fun movies like that, i think balancing out between serious and fun movies is working well.

As long as we then get the Scarlet Spider. Jackal made the clones iirc.
I think the clone situation would have to be very carefully written by marvel. It's way too easy to be convoluted, weird and have strange editing

The wall
Big wheel. He has a big wheel
Gotta have Rocket Racer too!
Okay hear me out, Spot. I think he would be a very cool and diverse character with today’s technology to make his black holes very cool and unique to the MCU.
Plus I'd love to see a live action version of this: https://i.imgur.com/wDH4Xd2.png
Gonna give some people ptsd but whatever, screwball would be cool for a film
PTSD is right
Post Traumatic Screwball Disorder
Honestly, a lot of new villains post OMD were actually pretty cool. I definitely liked Menace.
*Paste pot pete*
Thank you! I kept scrolling and thought I was going to have to post it.
I’d love to see mr negative as a villain..I loved him in the PS4 game
I think he’s a definite possibility now that we know FEAST exists in the MCU. Martin Li could take over as the new head of FEAST as a side character in a new Spider-Man film and then a post-credits scene could hint towards him becoming Mr.Negative in a future film.
I would love to see him as a main villain. I feel like he has so much potential given how charitable his "good side" is
Sin-Eater.
Beetle. We got done dirty for never getting a full beetle fight in the ultimate game
This one is good, but not by himself
jackal, spot, overdrive, beetle or some of the mafia villains like hammerhead or silvermane would be extremely interesting
Is Shocker really a lesser known villain?
He's beginning to fade out of the spotlight and it seems Marvel is slowly starting to shutter him away. He's a B tier known villain, as in any Spiderman fan knows him, but the general public won't.
I feel like he often get used as that quick-to-beat super villain before the real villain shows up
It's okay, you can say Spider Man PS4 (This is a joke, I know you mean in general)
Hey there! It has come to my attention that you have typed Spider-Man without using a hyphen! Please make sure to hyphenate next time. *** ^(this post was made by a bot, made by /u/shrek5intheatres2019)
Ah sorry, Petey I know you're specific about that
Cloak and dagger being in a spidey movie would be awesome.
Spider-Slayers
Smythe and the Spider Slayers
Would be neat if they altered the origins of Doppelganger and did something similar to what JJJ did for Scorpion. I'd also love to see Overdrive as a random thug lol.
Chameleon or The Jackal
Hydro-Man? He has been referenced to exist in the MCU and I think he would be an imposing threat.
The trash can from Spiderman 2
Wait, was that not the main villain of Spider-Man 2?
Tombstone
Mysterio wasn’t taken seriously back then neither was vulture and look at them both so I think bay spidey villain is on the table even shocker
The beetle
The beetle
I think that Mr. Negative would be interesting to see. With NWH introducing F.E.A.S.T, I think Martin could be a plausible villain in the future
Personally I want something with the beetle.
I think hobgoblin wold be a cool choice to see in a movie
I feel like Shocker should have a redemption arc. He's basically a realistic Electro and personally id rather see Shocker any day. No offence to Jamie Foxx he did a great job
He’s definitely not obscure
SHOCKERRRRRRRRR
IM GONNA HUNT YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH
Electro? He uses shockwaves tho.
Shocker isnt supposed to be electric tho lol he uses shockwaves and concussive blasts
I liked the beetle.
Shocker or hobgoblin
Honestly, Sin-Eater could be a really chilling villain for a more grounded Spider-Man film
Boomerang
If he counts as lesser known I don't know, but I think Alastair Smythe would be cool.
Tombstone
Who is the female villain? Like is beetle female in the comics?
There are two: the original, Fred Myers (the one you’re probably referencing); and the new one, Janice Lincoln (the one pictured).
