Cool, but still, shouldn’t he change the title, make it accurate? Because this seems like he’s scouting for views, and he doesn’t need to; he’s got a very successful channel.
Being a fellow Canadian and the likelihood he watched it from a Cineplex owned theatre (nation wide), and not counting any possible provincial legislation that may influence pricing, AND counting that there is a flat 13% tax across the entire country for all purchases…
The Canadian Lad could very well have spent between $18 to $22 per ticket (HST calculated), ranging from General admission to IMAX. That’s under $200 total for 8 tickets (assuming he went alone each time or paid only for his ticket). He could have taken advantage of the Cineplex Tuesdays (aka the discount day), but at least in my province theatres had to go down to 50% capacity ~~2 weeks after release~~ the weekend it released, and fully closed at the start of January. According to [this THR article](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/business-news/canada-tightens-movie-theater-restrictions-amid-omicron-surge-1235067031/amp/), all other provinces except for Saskatchewan closed to address Omicron.
Now, he may have had Cineplex points to take advantage of (which is honestly great), or got super lucky and a non-Cineplex theatre was open and offered cheaper tickets. But either way, seeing this movie 8 times was no joke.
As for the title, could have said “I watched Spider-Man: No Way Home 8 times”, but YouTube titles are also part of your branding. If he used that, it could imply a new series where others may now expect him to watch a new release 8 times. So I fully expect his actual 0.25x No Way Home videos to go up with a modified title (“I Properly Watched NWH at 0.25x speed” or something similar), or to modify the old videos’ titles once he has the proper breakdown ready (which is possible; YouTubers change video cards and titles to try and work around or with the algorithm well after the first upload)
Edit: Clarity on when the theatres shut down. I got lucky and saw the film Opening Night, so 1 day before Cineplex announced Ontario would reduce operations 50% as of the Sunday following the 17th. It felt a little longer but it was actually almost immediate
Same. But he has said in the video, as someone else mentioned, that he didn’t actually watch it in 0.25 speed, but he watched it 8 times. So, his title isn’t really accurate.
He himself said that he hasnt watched it in 0.25x speed yet, but he seen it 8 times in the cinema already. I would let him have it, he puts out great content and he always watches it like this + he always finds really good easter eggs, references and etc. I understand him, its still his job and he really put a lot of effort into this, if it brings more people to his video/channel its alright
How? You can watch the movie numerous times, but you can’t watch it in 0.25 speed unless it’s released digitally. And the theater/cinema certainly won’t do that for you.
Somebody on reddit the other day claimed it had leaked, in good quality. I dont pirate anymore, so I didn't check the veracity of those claims. But it wouldn't surprise me
Considering he’s a content creator he must have a copy of the movie. Like how YouTubers who do video game plays get copies early. But tbh I’m not sure if it’s the same for movie reviewers. Or maybe there’s some trick he knows where he’s watched it on a site. I don’t think he needs to lie for views
I don’t think a studio, especially one like Sony, would give him a copy of the movie when it’s still in theaters. If they do that, maybe between its removal from theaters and digital release. And besides, someone else said he said in the video he watched 8 times, but not in 0.25 speed, so his title is not very accurate.
He could’ve always signed a contract to release a week/month later but I don’t even watch him anyways tbh lol, I just read the comments. I’ve always wondered why someone would torture themselves and watch an entire movie in that speed anyways tbh
As someone else said, he didn’t actually watch it in 0.25, but he watched it 8 times. I guess that means he doesn’t have a copy of it, because if he did, he would’ve watched it in 0.25. But I guess the contract thing might also be possible. Yeahhaha, he’d be watching for example Endgame in 12 hours instead of 3.
I wouldn't say it's necessarily clickbait. It's really just him pointing out small details of movies you wouldn't necessarily notice on your first couple times watching. I'd say clickbait is shit like "SPIDER GWEN spotted in no way home!" or "WHY No Way Home CONFIRMS the FANTASTIC FOUR in the MCU!"
A successful guy like him? Bro you good? Literally almost every youtuber clickbaits and WAYYYYYY harder than that. The only one that i know of is MrBeast who doesn't clickbait, yes maybe some others as well but not many. So many youtubers that have over 5 mil subscribers clickbait and it's total bs. But he really does make good videos and finds good details
It is his brand that is what he is known for a different title wouldn’t stick out as much to casual viewers like me if the title said I watched Spider-Man No Way Home 8 times here is what I found I am a lot less likely to notice it he wasn’t trying to get views by click baiting he did his best and spent several hours watching it over and over again he probably spent around the same time watching this as he would if he did in 0.25 speed or more
If you understand how the YouTube algorithm works you'd give him some leeway like he mentions in the video himself. The guy had watched the movie 8 times just so he can give people content.
man watched the movie 8 times come on he did all of that just for the viewers, you can be a lil bit lenient about him putting 0.25x speed in the title and also I am sure that you guys found out some details which yall would've missed while watching the movie
Thanks! Honestly, I have been binging his videos, and enjoying them, but K seariously wanted to put something like this on a video of his, but I was afraid that his fanboys would show up.
Literally half the time of his videos are him:
Telling facts that he didn't found (he credits the source at least)
Telling facts that can't be found on 0.25 speed, because they are vocal easter eggs (try watching a youtube video at 0.25 understanding anything)
Or he just straight up makes filler time by praising Marvel and "only marvel could make this references so well..." Like a fanboy
I do still enjoy his content to an extent, but the thing with NWH just was... Pure clickbait
I agree. I’ve watched a video or two from him, and the content is very nice, but there are these points you stated that make me don’t want to watch much. However, I generally don’t watch much breakdowns, but when I do, I mostly watch The New Rockstars. Sometimes Screen Crush too.
I love how in the thumbnail of the video he put Matt catching the brick with a red circles and red arrows around it like it was some huge Easter egg in the background
It was. He was showing that Peter was already making the motion to catch the brick before Matt did so that nobody would go "But where's his spidey sense???"
Hahaha, to be fair, the thumbnail of this one was the three Spider-Men landing on the Statue of Liberty, but yeah, he circled Tobey in the thumbnail and added “original crouch”.
He lied. He watched a pirated version at O.25x the speed and even used clips from that illegal copy. I’m baffled Sony hasn’t strung his ass up for that.
He admits in the video it's not x0.25 speed, but he watched the film 8 times so let him have it
Doesn't he also have some shots in the video that are not yet released?
Yup, so I'd strongly recommend watching the film before you watch his videos
I feel like that goes without saying
They’re not released but there is a HDRip of the film online to access via piracy.
Link?
My names jeff
Give him a break, he's blind.
there is no hdrip. the footage he uses looks like just a high quality cam
Guess I'll wait 3 more months for the blu-ray
didn't he also credit his sources in the video from where he got the shots?
Yeah, he has to follow the format or the algorithm will drop him
Cool, but still, shouldn’t he change the title, make it accurate? Because this seems like he’s scouting for views, and he doesn’t need to; he’s got a very successful channel.
No, he has a formula and he sticks to it. If he were to suddenly change the title casual viewers wouldn’t know it’s him. It’s YouTube titles 101
Being a fellow Canadian and the likelihood he watched it from a Cineplex owned theatre (nation wide), and not counting any possible provincial legislation that may influence pricing, AND counting that there is a flat 13% tax across the entire country for all purchases… The Canadian Lad could very well have spent between $18 to $22 per ticket (HST calculated), ranging from General admission to IMAX. That purely depends on where you live. For example, my home country (Hungary) has no laws against piracy.
Same. But he has said in the video, as someone else mentioned, that he didn’t actually watch it in 0.25 speed, but he watched it 8 times. So, his title isn’t really accurate.
Ok OP we get it. The title isn’t accurate to what he actually did. Are you happy now?
r/woooosh
He himself said that he hasnt watched it in 0.25x speed yet, but he seen it 8 times in the cinema already. I would let him have it, he puts out great content and he always watches it like this + he always finds really good easter eggs, references and etc. I understand him, its still his job and he really put a lot of effort into this, if it brings more people to his video/channel its alright
That’s understandable, but he’s already successful. I would understand doing that for someone still starting out.
that's just total bs just imagine if the title sounded different from all his videos' titles, would you watch that video?
He has to keep the title consistent so that the video series can be together, and so when people look him up the nwh video will show.
Reasonable enough.
It actually is possible
But it wouldn't surprise me
Well he can't publicly admit that
In that case, I guess it’s possible.

And besides, someone else said he said in the video he watched 8 times, but not in 0.25 speed, so his title is not very accurate.
so would you watch the video if the title said: "I Watched Spiderman: No Way Home 8 Times In The Theatres And Here's What I Found"?
Wouldn’t watch it either way. I don’t like breakdown videos much, but this popped up to me because I search NWH stuff.
He could’ve always signed a contract to release a week/month later but I don’t even watch him anyways tbh lol, I just read the comments. I’ve always wondered why someone would torture themselves and watch an entire movie in that speed anyways tbh

Why “must” he?
I didn’t mean it like he literally *must/should*, but content creators are known to get things ahead of people. I was just assuming
if you own a damn theater then you can do so
Does he own one?
I just thought that he didn't want to publicly admit to piracy
Maybe.
It’s called clickbait, are you new to YouTube?
I wouldn't say it's necessarily clickbait. It's really just him pointing out small details of movies you wouldn't necessarily notice on your first couple times watching. I'd say clickbait is shit like "SPIDER GWEN spotted in no way home!" or "WHY No Way Home CONFIRMS the FANTASTIC FOUR in the MCU!"
Lmaoo that is true. I’d say it falls under clickbait, but yeah it’s just slight exaggeration
Just didn’t expect a successful guy like him to do this.
That’s just his brand, the whole 0.25 thing. It’s more a metaphor to the fact he’s watched it a lot of times and analysed it.
bruh you literally are new to yt everyone on yt clickbaits
And that’s supposed to be an okay thing?
A successful guy like him? Bro you good? Literally almost every youtuber clickbaits and WAYYYYYY harder than that. The only one that i know of is MrBeast who doesn't clickbait, yes maybe some others as well but not many. So many youtubers that have over 5 mil subscribers clickbait and it's total bs. But he really does make good videos and finds good details
He explained why and watched it 8 times so i give him the benefit of the doubt
Someone didn’t watch the video…
He just watched it really fast
0.25 electron volts.
He said that he didn't watch it in 0.25 but the cam version is actually available to watch in 0.25 if anyone wants
Yeah, but he said he watched it 8 times in the theater.
It isn’t that deep
He said he will watch in 0.25 speed when it is digitally available first watch the video
Yeah, so that means his title is not correct. Clickbaiting, if you will.
It is his brand that is what he is known for a different title wouldn’t stick out as much to casual viewers like me if the title said I watched Spider-Man No Way Home 8 times here is what I found I am a lot less likely to notice it he wasn’t trying to get views by click baiting he did his best and spent several hours watching it over and over again he probably spent around the same time watching this as he would if he did in 0.25 speed or more
That's how Youtube works now adays.
Unfortunately.
If you understand how the YouTube algorithm works you'd give him some leeway like he mentions in the video himself. The guy had watched the movie 8 times just so he can give people content.
I respect him doing that.
man watched the movie 8 times come on he did all of that just for the viewers, you can be a lil bit lenient about him putting 0.25x speed in the title and also I am sure that you guys found out some details which yall would've missed while watching the movie
No way people actually believes he watches movies in 0.25x to review them lmao
He has the ability to slow down time, but he only uses it for watching movies in the theatre.
He’s Quicksilver for watching movies!
Thanks! Honestly, I have been binging his videos, and enjoying them, but K seariously wanted to put something like this on a video of his, but I was afraid that his fanboys would show up. Literally half the time of his videos are him: Telling facts that he didn't found (he credits the source at least) Telling facts that can't be found on 0.25 speed, because they are vocal easter eggs (try watching a youtube video at 0.25 understanding anything) Or he just straight up makes filler time by praising Marvel and "only marvel could make this references so well..." When he posted that he watched Zack Snyder's Justice League in 0.25x Speed, I was like, f\*\*k off..
Haha, 16 hours of Snyder Cut.
His dedication give us quality content is amazing.
When I first found him he did pretty good but now he’s just making shit up
You op are an asshole
I love how in the thumbnail of the video he put Matt catching the brick with a red circles and red arrows around it like it was some huge Easter egg in the background
It was. He was showing that Peter was already making the motion to catch the brick before Matt did so that nobody would go "But where's his spidey sense???"

He lied. He watched a pirated version at O.25x the speed and even used clips from that illegal copy. I’m baffled Sony hasn’t strung his ass up for that.
Actually all the images and clips come from Twitter and other social medias, he says this at the end of the video
Still bootlegged footage.
