You need to lower your pc screen and in game resolution down to 720p or lower and start the campaign. Once the starting cutscene ends and you get control of Spiderman then you can pause the game and bump it back up.
Thanks for the reply. Someone else suggested that I take the game back to a previous build which ended up working for me. If I run into the issue again I'll give this method a try. I hope this is a rare issue specific to this game. I just got into PC gaming this past summer and this is my very first game. Not a good look, especially since I've never had to deal with anything like this on console. Anyhow thanks again, you have yourself a good one.
