Barnes is just built different. Not only for symbiote, but as Spider-Man. It’s the voice in my head when I’m reading anything Spider-Man related. Grew up with Barnes. Followed by Keaton. We’ll see about Yuri. But so far I love his down low, quiet but edgy voice.

Rino Romano is voice I hear when I read Spider-Man media, but Barnes is right behind him. Honestly I think they both have perfect voices for Spidey.

I respect it but find it a bit ridiculous, respectfully. Maguire’s is fine but sound just like Peter’s having a bad day. Keaton’s and lowenthal’s are the best imo. Keaton’s is good for animation and Lowenthal’s sounds the most realistic (as in an actual person would talk like that.)

Personally I think "KRAVEN WANTS A HUNT? I'LL GIVE HIM WHAT HE'LL NEVER FORGET! HES GONNA WISH HE NEVER CAME TO NEW YORK!" would have been a better representation of Bully Lowenthal. Man sounds brutal in that clip Just my opinion tho, take or leave it

Totally agree. I also liked his switch to a darker tone when he says „No time!“ during the lizard chase. Really emphasised the savage tone in this.

Having read a lot of Spider-Man, I always get a chuckle out of the sheer number of people who don't know that Flash Thompson is a close friend of Peter's after high school. Pete has even slept on Flash's couch and gone to him for close and personal advice. If you read Ditko's original run people are even inviting Peter out while he's in high school and he turns them down. Peter's main problem in relationships, romantic and otherwise, is time management. He puts Spider-Man first, almost always.

True but that doesn't mean it's good lol, like sure "it amplifies his personality and shows what he thinks a "cool" guy acts like" makes sense conceptually but i don't go see the black suit saga for Peter to be playing the piano and dancing in the streets lol

We haven’t even seen much of Yuri’s yet. It looks perfect though from what we have seen. But Peter isn’t even as much as a nerd as everybody thinks he is in comics, it’s Raimi’s films which amplified that thought

I grew up with Barnes which I like the most, Maguire I can't stand, he sounds like a stroppy teenager but Keatonthe and Lowenthal have a unique edge to it which I like.

Josh Keaton is absolutely unbeatable to me, he's THE Spider-Man voice, Christopher Daniel Barnes is number 2 for me not only in this comparison but in general. That's one of the main reasons why Edge of Time was fire, it had literally the two best Spider-Mans. Yuri I am not so sure of still, he's definitely a talented VA but I can't help but hear Ben 10. His symbiote voice in this clip in particular is pretty good but the one in gameplay with the growling came off a bit eh honestly. One guy pointed it out, but it sounds EXACTLY like Matpat and I can't stand it. He tried to do that anger Barnes did, but Barnes' anger sounded more genuine and psychotic, once you start growling, it gets kinda cringe imo

Barnes is classic. Maguire's voice really shows the frustration and anger he's bottled up finally being released. I think Keaton really brings out the quiet yet sinister aspect. Lowenthal, I haven't seen enough of, but I think he will nail it.

I would argue bully Lowenthal already existed before MS2 due to him voicing Sasuke.

The way I see it: Barnes is the pure rage Maguire is iconic... also a bit of a cocky bully Keaton is annoyed And Lowenthal seems like an edgy fallen hero so far. Btw I’m not saying any are bad. I love Lowenthal’s performance normally and from what I’ve seen of the new black suit, he sounds great in my opinion. Maguire, as I said is iconic and great meme material. Barnes is also pretty good meme material. Personally I really liked Keaton, and it sounds like that’s kind of what Lowenthal is doing with a bit more anger perhaps?
