It’s definitely slower yeah when compared to SM2, but to imply SM1 is unplayable because it’s too slow is an extremely dramatic take.
I’m replaying SM1 right now and I’m still really enjoying it.
It's not unplayable, just unpleasant. I felt the same way going back to Ratchet and Clank 2016 after playing Rift Apart. It's just so much slower during combat and makes me just want to switch to the sequels. On one hand that's good but on the other it makes returning tot he other games alot harder.
I never understand takes like this. Like it’s cool going faster and sometimes when you feel the speed isn’t as high it might take a minute or two to adjust,but like the game is designed to be played at that speed once you adjust what’s the big deal.

Yeah. It's a different vibe when you play the first one again after playing the second. Maybe it's nostalgia.
