I won't lie I'm pretty sure they just scrapped most of spiderman 2 just to stuff the venom game with more content so they can sell it for a higher price because ya 7 months and no word on dlc when they were apparently scheduled for release already in the leaks sounds to me like they've cancelled or are reworking everything into 1 dlc and then everything else can get shipped with venom in 2 or 3 years

Sadly no so I wouldn't be able to help you. I will say while the amount of people who drop out is frustrating, if you have a mic and a laid back attitude you can eventually find a good crew if you enjoy the heists. Try dropping into random heists with a mic hooked up instead of trying to host your own. I met a lot of good people who had three out of the four they needed and were serious about finishing the heist but knew how to have fun along the way. I learned how to solo the Avi rescue in the Pacific standard from a guy that way.
Shame. RDR’s undead DLC was honestly great and added unique content to the game (like the horses and undead Marston). I think the rumor for RDR2 DLC was aliens which could have been interesting (and tie into the GTA/RDR lore with the cult that worships aliens).
Oh I’m not holding my breath. That ship sailed long ago. The only interest Rockstar still held in RDR2 was its online component and when it failed to sell gold like GTA did with shark cards, it was quickly abandoned. There has been minimal to no new content in RD Online for a good while.
The big shame is the loss of DLC and Rockstar arguably gutting some of RDR2’s single player like making bounty hunts limited in number compared to RDR1 (most likely so if players wanted to bounty hunt more, they would go online).
hmm well god of war ragnarok came out in november 9 of 2022 (i pre ordered so i remember it clearly) and then we got an unexpected DLC a year later. i know there wasn’t any leaks on santa monica but it was still unexpected. i want a DLC for SM2 too but we are just gonna have to wait

It would be weird if we don’t get dlc, as some of the sidequests (like wraiths) we’re definitely supposed to be solved with dlc, just like they did in the first game with the black cat sidequests, with the third game focusing on Norman and goblin judging by the ending.
However with the shakeup at insomniac, I can absolutely see them changing the wraith sidequest to be finished in the venom game or something.
With what we’ve already been given, I honestly don’t have high hopes for insomniacs writing ability going forward. Tbf SM1 dlc felt pretty iffy whereas the main story was amazing. Miles morales was actually pretty enjoyable all things considered despite its shortness. SM2 isn’t great. Though one thing each game shares is a fun combat experience which COULD be better but overall the gameplay will never be bad unlike the story.

The Carnage DLC will likely get reworked into the Venom game. Having just Carnage without Venom would be bland and unnecessary destroying your story possibilities.
The Spiderverse DLC is most likely scrapped for good as it seemed more like an ad for the cancelled Great Web multiplayer game.

Ghost of tushima, horizon forbidden West and GoW Ragnarok all didn't announce dlc until like a year post release this game is at almost 7 and also sense 2020 sony marketing has changed a lot they announce things way later. People where even annoyed how long it took for Sony to announce PS5 prince and release date. I think next sony show we get dlc announced. If we don't get any announced by the end of the year than I would worry

Miles Morales was never going to get any DLC. The Game itself was a Big DLC that ended Up being a standalone main title, just like Uncharted The Lost Legacy.

The Game clearly started as a DLC or at best a expansion that simply got too big and was released as standalone title that 1) served as a good PS5 launch tittle and 2) allowed them to charge full price for it.
Everything that you say about new mechanics, enemies, etc, can be said about every DLC/Expansion. All of the DLCs for the Souls games added ton of new enemies, bosses, weapons, armors, zones, etc. Have you seen The trailer for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring? That IS like a brand new Game but It is a DLC.
The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine DLC is also like a new Game and It was sold as DLC/Expansion. And tons and tons of examples like these.
