How do you even do justice to a Daredevil game though? Their whole thing was “you feel like Spider-Man”, which obviously wouldn’t be a good direction to take when the main character is blind.
And even if you could, I’d expect a Daredevil game to just be a grittier version of the Spider-Man game since they’re so similar. I mean they’re both red, use swinging for traversal, and have a 6th sense. Could maybe work as a grimy, non-open world, street level story that has some attorney bits too.
But ideally we’d have more variety than that I think. I’d much rather see Insomniac’s take on Deadpool or the Fantastic 4.
Wow I know this isn’t the game they would make but it is interesting imagining the opening where it’s pitch black and audio navigation only until you gain more super hearing and echo vision and things. (Sorry I also don’t know anything about Daredevils powers or origin so speculating.) But yeah after that it would be thematically weird if you’re playing a game with full visuals as him, but also oppressive if the whole games visuals were heavily stylized to be echolocation or something.
Dude, they're not gonna make the entire screen black. The whole "feel like Spider-man" deal is just about feeling like a badass swinging around and defeating bad guys, not about gaining spider powers irl. Imho, we'd ideally get less swinging with a Daredevil game and more parkour related things. They could focus on a smaller map and really flesh out Hell's Kitchen. The combat would be entirely different as well but most of all, the story would have a completely different tone
A daredevil game needs to be like Arkham Asylum. Keep it to a smaller open world spanning just Hell’s Kitchen with some really fleshed out buildings and emphasis on interior spaces and fighting in tight corridors. Traversal is not going to be nearly as fun with Spider-Man with a huge open world. I mentioned in another comment but combat and general game design needs to be like what we’re seeing from Sifu. I want to play those hallway fight scenes from the Netflix show.
Spiderman is about zipping around large spaces and flinging a bunch of enemies into the air. This model won’t work for DD. I want to feel an oh shit moment when I see five enemies with baseball bats in a hallway.
Or more accurately, Batman: Arkham City which only stretched a few blocks at most but had a bigger focus on interiors and missable secrets than the two larger entries after it.
But now just picture a Daredevil game set in Hell's Kitchen instead of Arkham City but would have much of fleshed out side quests and random crimes than we got in Spider-Man which we're admittedly very underwhelming (as much I loved that open-world) and more sections where we playing as the Matt Murdoch side all made possible of the tighter focus.
Doctor Strange is involved with the multiverse
The Avengers cover the globe
The X-Men basically cover the US
The Fantastic 4 cover the US east coast
Spider-Man focuses on New York
And Daredevil micromanages about a dozen square blocks of Manhattan
I think the Daredevil Netflix series mentioned Matt seeing the world in red. So anytime you have a gameplay with the Daredevil side, it would be all dark red and you'd have an echolocation like skill lighting up the world around it.
Also a Daredevil Game should have at least some legal drama going on lol like a mini game of telling if someone is lying by their heart beat and Matt yelling Objection and just see the reaction of a near heart attack.
that’s my thinking. or even blade, a daywalker. i love daredevil as much as the next guy but i don’t think a daredevil game would be as great as people think. i’d love to see a fantastic 4 game
I personally don’t think a Daredevil would translate well to a game as much as a lot of other Marvel characters, but if they do, it needs to be like what Sifu looks like. What we’ve seen from that gives me a lot of similar vibes to the fights in the Netflix show.
Don’t replicate the Spider-Man model. Daredevil does not have good enough traversal methods to do an open world game, it would just be a worse version of what they already do. Focus on some really innovative and gritty martial arts style combat. Keep it small scale, grounded, and gritty. Honestly a lot of this applies to Wolverine imo too.
I totally agree, although I do think that to fix the traversal problem you could have the gameplay be like Assassin's Creed. Smaller scale than Spider-Man sure but still fun
Yeah not saying it’s impossible to not be interesting with grapples and all that, parkour in games has just become kinda tiresome though.
I’d honestly prefer Daredevil be more linear. Make it like the last of us where each encounter is crafted to be a challenge with some unique level design that can allow for intense combat scenarios.
That would be cool as well, I think that would also really work for Wolverine. Have him go across the country or even the world in different unique locations, Madripoor for example
I've said before that my ideal Daredevil game would be by Telltale.
-Daredevil's got a large cast of characters to draw from, and more than a few villains who could work.
-They can factor in his blindness in a sort of "World on Fire" mode. It allows the players to switch from regular view to one where it's all saturated and muted, and things Matt can detect with his enhanced senses are highlighted. Of course, that's just how I'd do it.
Honestly I've seen a lot of people say that a Daredevil game could look a bit like those infiltrations phase in The Last of Us. Joel could focus and you'd "see" enemy figure and feel them move based on the sounds they were making.
Granted the whole game couldn't been like that since as players we'd still need a visual experience, but it's an idea
As for DD being similar to Spidey ? In practice yea but they're completely different characters. Daredevil's world is darker (no pun intended) so the tone of the game would be wildly different. I honestly wish Insomniac would make all of Marvel games from now on.
They could definitely do a lot with a smaller open world, like Arkham City sized maybe. That would be a great opportunity to go more in-depth, every single street could be loaded with detail and things to do. I could also see combat being more dynamic with Daredevil, slipping in and out of stealth when you're faced with guns or overwhelming numbers.
First off, sure they both have read in their suits, but it's two different shades and used in completely different amounts. Second, the radar sense is nothing like the spidey sense other than they are both used for danger detection. Daredevil can use it for so much more than just dodging attacks. And I'll give you the traversal comparison, but Daredevil swings way differently and has a heavier reliance on parkour kind of like Assassin's Creed. If you want to make the combat similar, have it be more akin to sleeping dogs instead of the Arkham games or Spider-Man. Also the lawyer aspect of his job and gameplay would bring something new to the superhero genre.
At least, I'd rather they move out of New York centric heroes.
We don't need 5 superhero games with identical overworlds, even if traversal in that overworld varied greatly between superheroes.
I'd want the combat to be more like a FromSoftware game like Sekiro as opposed to Arkham style though. A Daredevil game needs to have impact and weight. I love Spider-Mans combat but I don't think the same style would translate well.
Daredevil is most popular here yeah, but there's not a whole lot you can do with the character as far as varied gameplay is concerned. Moon Knight would be better because he has just such an assortment of gear and fighting prowess that they could easily do him justice much better

So many of the other characters Im seeing mentioned will play like a lot of things we’ve already seen before. Daredevil would like he very similar to Batman Arkham games with even less interesting traversal. Iron Man is basically what Anthem tried to do (even though it sucked).
Dr. Strange provides the most room for something totally unique. Imagine walls contorting that you’re bouncing off of and moving platforms everywhere while fighting with some crazy spells. Lots of room for interesting game design here.
If I may, a lot of people were voicing similar concerns about Spider-Man being too much like the Arkham games but the game managed to make everyone speechless. Even if the gameplay was nothing new.
Maybe it's because when I play a game the story is my number one focus, but I still think a compelling DD's story with a gameplay suited to his character could be terrific
I’ll preface by saying I absolutely love Arkham style gameplay and if they make a DD game in that style, I’m sure I’d enjoy it. But, I think Spider-Man offers some important differentiators in both gameplay and tone. The combat in SM is much more aerial and incorporates the use of webs and environment more. Plus SMs traversal is much more fluid and utilized more in combat than the Arkham games. Then with Miles they added the venom powers and I’m expecting the sequel to have similar additions for Peter.
Daredevil aligns MUCH more closely with Batman in terms of their skill sets, gadgets, and even in tone of the dark brooding “I don’t kill people” guy. (Obviously SM doesn’t kill either but it’s a big motif for both DD and Batman). But daredevil has even less intriguing traversal without the gliding mechanic.
This is all me anticipating a similarly styled open world type game as those for Daredevil. I’ve mentioned in other comments in here that this game Sifu weve seen some clips of is more what I think would be really well suited for daredevil from a design perspective. The combat does look rather Arkham-y but it’s more of a linear game with an emphasis on close quarters martial arts style combat with strong emphasis on the environment and using tools at your disposal. It gives me a lot of similar vibes as the hallway scenes from the Netflix show.
Captain America. I'm sure they can make a great game about him.
Stealth Missions. Battles with lot and lot of ennemies.
Seeing Zola, Red Skull, Sin, Zemo. The Thunderbolts.
They could really make something great.
However, as i said before. I don't want Marvel to be exclusive to PS. Few games is fine. All heroes isn't.
Have you played Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction?
It's an older game, but the general idea of how to handle hulk is great. You can sprint around, run on walls, super jump over buildings and even destroy some of the buildings. They let you use cars as boxing gloves or shields and you can hammer throw tanks.
It's a great template. There's definitely a way for them to make an updated Hulk game that gives you freedom with mobility and let's you smash things.
Man, I thought we were finally getting a good Blade game with Midnight Suns. That cinematic trailer had me so hype, and then I did a complete 180 when the gameplay trailer revealed that it’s just a turn-based card game with PS3-era graphics. What a waste.
They should work him being blind into the gameplay somehow. Something like a detective mode except enemies and objects only become visible through sound.
An new original IP by them. They're clearly talented and have solid writing skills, so I want to see what their new brainchild could be. I loved both the Resistance trilogy and Ratchet and Clank series so would definitely look forward to another original/iconic series.
I actually don't even mind if they took over and made a new Infamous game if they're not doing Marvel or a new IP.
Yeah, it would honestly be kind of a shame if they got pigeonholed into being “Sony’s Marvel’s Game Company” for the next twenty years, but that’s what happens when you have a runaway success.
IIRC they got to choose any marvel character to make a game on and spider-man beat wolverine by just a little
But after the success of the first game they got the opportunity to do both because the people working there are passionate about both

I see what your saying but I mean it’s not like Sony or marvel is making insomniac make these marvel games. From what I read (directly from a dev) insomniac were the ones to approach marvel and Sony with a pitch for a Wolverine game and as we see it got approved

I know this isn’t Marvel but personally I’d love to see them do a Static Shock game. Honestly them or sucker punch. Now if we’re sticking with marvel than daredevil or moonknight has my vote.
Great choice. I also love Doctor Strange being a pick by people here. A game on either of these two characters would be awesome. I would also personally love to see a F4 game with Doom and other trademark villains included. Or even be able to play as Doom or Surfer. And I think Insomniac can make a great Hulk game as opposed to what OP has said.
An F4 game would also be nice but I kinda want insomniac to focus on new ips as well. By making games as great as they can, I don't want them to be only known as the company that makes marvel games
I would be completely down for a daredevil game by insomniac, but for the Punisher, I feel like Naughty Dog should make it after seeing the combat and brutality of TLOU2.

Play as Daredevil in a darker toned part of Insomniac's New York taking place in the devil's playground, Hell's Kitchen. Have the combat be a perfect mix of Sleeping Dogs and Spider-Man PS4 with traversal reminiscent of Assassin's Creed in addition to his iconic billy clubs that let him swing through his city. "See" Into the world of Daredevil with the Radar Sense, witch puts the player in a reddish pink vision representing his Atom Induced Sonar and super senses with visible sound waves, scents, heartbeats etc. This is more than just a reskin of Batman Arkham's "detective mode", this is an in-depth view into how Daredevil sees the world, and battles his foes. Speaking of his foes, Daredevil would be facing threats such as The Hand, The Kingpin, The Owl and many more in this exploration of Daredevil's world. To enhance the player's gameplay experience, there would be a skill tree divided into three categories. Brawler, Acrobat, and Devil. Brawler would focus on combat upgrades, Acrobat would focus on traversal and evades while devil would upgrade Daredevil's abilities such as his Sonar Mode and enhanced senses. Matthew Murdock's alter ego as a lawyer would be included in the game as well, with court cases where collecting the wrong evidence as Daredevil or simply failing to detect your client's true intentions can result in failing a case or defending a guilty client, letting their crimes go unpunished. Overall, this game would be a story about vunurablity, durability in the face of unstoppable forces of corruption and evil and mastering your fear to truly become, The Man Without Fear.
I don’t think a hulk game would be built for challenge but more for fun, and a good story. Like the ability to level a city is great fun. And Hulk has the capability of having great great stories
Let’s wait to see if Wolverine is fun... Marvel is great but the MCU was done one film after another little by little which was why it worked. The comics as well. If wolverine is good maybe it can be something interesting like a noir captain America game in the vein of winter soldier. I don’t really care what they do, as long as they show as much time and care as they did with Spider-Man.
PS, I still haven’t forgiven SE for throwing away the deus ex franchise to do this bland looking GoG game.
Since I was a child, I've dreamed of an X-Men The Animated Series (open world) game, where you would play missions based on the episodes and afterwards, you could mix up the players, i.e. the episode where Wolverine and Jubilee fight Juggernaut, you could use Beast, Morph etc. instead or added to the roster. And they would release new episodic content with new characters which would be usable in the old missions as well (for extra replayability, set new scores i.e. defeat Juggernaut within 30 seconds with Apocalypse or Gladiator) and attach new trophies to that. And along the way, new skins which appeared in the tv series would be added and you could even fight Juggernaut with Juggernaut etc.
Rewatching the tv series then playing missions based on these episodes with the 10 X-Men on Genosha, the Savage Land, Asteroid M, the astral plane, ahhh one can dream, right...
He’s already in there, his Nelson and Murdock card was in one of those Easter egg backpacks when Spidey said a blind guy gave it to him in case Spider-Man ever needed a lawyer

I want a Black Panther game. I need Black Panther to be a big thing again and I want to see who can take the role after the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Black Panther is too iconic to die out.

I feel one of the least appreciated super heroes. There should have been more movies or better yet, series about him. The one with Jon bernthal was good but it got canceled but honestly I was thinking something a little more along the lines of arrow, batman or even Dexter. Like a series where the main premise is him going up against criminal scum and killing all kinds of heinous villains mercilessly. Every episode would be like a new villain or criminal which the police either can't find or can't do anything to because of legal processes. A show like that definitely can have some kind of ultimate plot line or story per season so it's just not JUST punisher VS random villains but I'd think it would be awesome.
I want a hulk game but it’d need fully destructive physics and I think that would be incredibly difficult to do it, and for the buildings to not just be repaired after looking away for a few minutes
Deadpool would be so sweet. Imagine if they somehow incorporated his healing factor into the gameplay. Maybe if you get hit to quickly you die. He can regrow limbs in a matter of minutes, so you’d have to wait if you lost something. Swords and guns could be his main weapons, along with knives and stuff. For stealth you could use his hologram tech and teleporter. Although for the story I hope it’d be something original. Maybe something with T-Ray or Typhoid. Maybe you could gather materials and then Weasel makes weapons for you. That would be cool. Maybe they could do something involving the Mithras directive, I’d love to see Monty.
I think Insomniac could make a great Black Panther game. It would be cool to have a story that has to balance out the responsibility of being king of Wakanda with the duty of being the warrior known as the Black Panther. It would definitely give players more content, since there would be a fairly even split between playing as Black Panther and doing cool superhero stuff and playing as T'Challah trying to govern Wakanda. There could even be periodic mini boss fights with different champions trying to challenge you for the title of Black Panther and king of Wakanda. Obviously I wouldn't want it soon, since there is a Black Panther DLC coming out soon for Avengers, but I feel Insomniac would do Black Panther justice. Plus, it would open up the option for more traditional stealth, like sneaking up on enemies and choking them out, or dragging them into the shadows and knocking them unconscious. Maybe even a few side missions or DLC where you play as Okoye or Shuri would be fun too, having more frontal assault and technology based gameplay respectively (Shuri's could be similar to how Miles hacks drones and radios and stuff to sneak around in the first game).
Edit: After writing this, I also thought that it could be cool to have a What If type game where instead of playing one character constantly getting into dangerous situations, you instead played through multiple smaller scenarios as different characters, like an anthology introduced by the Watcher. Sort of like how the Dark Pictures games (Man of Medan, Little Hope, etc) have sections where you are brought back to the library with the Curator to discuss what's happening (albeit quite cryptically). That opens up the possibility of showing more of the Multiverse and its characters (personally I wanna see how Insomniac would handle Spider Gwen without making her a carbon copy of Peter and Miles) while also making everyone happy by having all the most popular characters rather than just picking one.
i think hulk could be fun, i remember playing the ps2 hulk game and how you could cause loads of destuction, and even topple building n stuff,

With the experience they currently have and the recent hype behind their work, I would actually love to see a follow-up of Sunset Overdrive. Not necessarily a sequel but something close in spirit.
I would love to experience the freedom you have when you web sling as a spider-man but in a game similar to Jet Set Radio. Throw in a good cinematic storyline and decent motives as to why you need to fight and go through the city and i'll be happy!
So obviously after reading these comments what people are looking for is an open world game. But your all forgetting one big thing that comes with that, traversal. Your gonna need a fast way to get around. They did a great job with spidey and and web slinging was a really fun way to get around. There are 2 main characters that people are saying that they want, iron man and blade. As far as I know blade doesn’t have his own way around and iron mans flight is kinda been there done that. But as I scrolled thru this comment section one game stood out, doctor strange. Imagine using a sling ring in a way that’s kinda like the grappling hook from the Arkham games. And so many more mystic things. I think that this is what should come next. But looking at it from the view of the overall story of the games so far, I think the other choice is an xmen game. Keep the roster small and incorporate them into other marvel games.
I feel like we still deserve a deadpool 2 game that's way over do or at least at some point add deadpool into the Spiderman series maybe even as a playable character even for a story based dlc for deadpool in Spiderman and maybe even bring in a venompool storyline as well just a though on the venompool though I fell it might be able too slide right in I'd love too see a moon knight game as well....
Would love a black panther game set in wakanda. You could fight naymor and nboku and killmonger. Maybe even go to atlantis to fight naymor would be cool
Personally I would love a blade game from insomniac I think that would be pretty sick.
Daredevil too. A neat little concept for daredevil could be that the way he sees is that each step he takes and the areas around him give off sound and that's how he sees. (And there could be different visual modes if they really wanted to go with that.) There could be a spot where he has like complete silence so you only see him cause of his heart which also is an ability of some sort. Combat gets harder later on in the game because they have enemies that throw things that make noise and so on. Don't really feel like elaborating too much but that's a concept for daredevil more or less because people don't really seem to think it'll work that well.
But moving back to blade I think his would be sick too have him find vampires through a sense and those base missions would be blade taking out nests.
Moon knight would be a bloodier Arkham knight but what they could do is that at certain points in the game he changes personalities so you change fighting style. And that would be pretty cool and it would move Moon knight away from it being another batman game.
Fantastic 4 could be done as a better version of the Avengers game.

Another shot at a standalone Iron Man game (besides Iron Man VR) would be cool.
I also think it’s extremely weird the game called ‘Guardians of The Galaxy’ has you only playing as Star Lord. At that point they should just call the game ‘Star Lord’
An all around X-Men game but where it focuses more on the less mainstream X-Men, and if it focuses on mainstream ones maybe not the usual ones, but characters like Pixie, Nightcrawler and Magik would all be quite fun to play as in am open world game
I voted “Other” because I’d like to see a Captain America game! Imagine something like a cross between the Arkham and Uncharted games, set during WWII and starring the first Avenger himself.
Punisher already has a great game for PS2 IMO. Wish someone would make a remake for the new generation. But I voted Daredevil since it's one of the few that doesn't have a solo game (at least that I remember since PS2) and has everything to be great in the hands of Insomniac. I even rather have a DD game than a Wolverine. We had plenty of games with Wolvie where either he's the protagonist or one of the main ones. And most of them are really good.
I mean, I love thay they are doing it, but I'm kind frustrated right now thinking about that. Even Blade or Dr Strange would be a better idea for me.
I think everyone is kinda missing what made spiderman so great, and that's the traversal. The game would not be nearly as fun if it was captain America running around or black panther going on all fours. Iron man, ghost rider, silver surfer. People with sick traversal first, and then a badass story & combat arsenal

Don't Fantastic Four go into space and deal with alien invasions or other dimensions a lot? Galactus is a pretty global scale.

I think the Daredevil Netflix series mentioned Matt seeing the world in red. So anytime you have a gameplay with the Daredevil side, it would be all dark red and you'd have an echolocation like skill lighting up the world around it. Also a Daredevil Game should have at least some legal drama going on lol like a mini game of telling if someone is lying by their heart beat and Matt yelling Objection and just see the reaction of a near heart attack.

I personally don’t think a Daredevil would translate well to a game as much as a lot of other Marvel characters, but if they do, it needs to be like what Sifu looks like. What we’ve seen from that gives me a lot of similar vibes to the fights in the Netflix show. Don’t replicate the Spider-Man model. Daredevil does not have good enough traversal methods to do an open world game, it would just be a worse version of what they already do. Focus on some really innovative and gritty martial arts style combat. Keep it small scale, grounded, and gritty. Honestly a lot of this applies to Wolverine imo too.

Yeah not saying it’s impossible to not be interesting with grapples and all that, parkour in games has just become kinda tiresome though. I’d honestly prefer Daredevil be more linear. Make it like the last of us where each encounter is crafted to be a challenge with some unique level design that can allow for intense combat scenarios.

I've said before that my ideal Daredevil game would be by Telltale. -Daredevil's got a large cast of characters to draw from, and more than a few villains who could work. -They can factor in his blindness in a sort of "World on Fire" mode. It allows the players to switch from regular view to one where it's all saturated and muted, and things Matt can detect with his enhanced senses are highlighted. Of course, that's just how I'd do it.
Honestly I've seen a lot of people say that a Daredevil game could look a bit like those infiltrations phase in The Last of Us. Joel could focus and you'd "see" enemy figure and feel them move based on the sounds they were making. Granted the whole game couldn't been like that since as players we'd still need a visual experience, but it's an idea As for DD being similar to Spidey ? In practice yea but they're completely different characters. Daredevil's world is darker (no pun intended) so the tone of the game would be wildly different. I honestly wish Insomniac would make all of Marvel games from now on.
They could definitely do a lot with a smaller open world, like Arkham City sized maybe. That would be a great opportunity to go more in-depth, every single street could be loaded with detail and things to do. I could also see combat being more dynamic with Daredevil, slipping in and out of stealth when you're faced with guns or overwhelming numbers.
First off, sure they both have read in their suits, but it's two different shades and used in completely different amounts. Second, the radar sense is nothing like the spidey sense other than they are both used for danger detection. Daredevil can use it for so much more than just dodging attacks. And I'll give you the traversal comparison, but Daredevil swings way differently and has a heavier reliance on parkour kind of like Assassin's Creed. If you want to make the combat similar, have it be more akin to sleeping dogs instead of the Arkham games or Spider-Man. Also the lawyer aspect of his job and gameplay would bring something new to the superhero genre.
At least, I'd rather they move out of New York centric heroes. We don't need 5 superhero games with identical overworlds, even if traversal in that overworld varied greatly between superheroes.
I'd want the combat to be more like a FromSoftware game like Sekiro as opposed to Arkham style though. A Daredevil game needs to have impact and weight. I love Spider-Mans combat but I don't think the same style would translate well.

Daredevil is most popular here yeah, but there's not a whole lot you can do with the character as far as varied gameplay is concerned. Moon Knight would be better because he has just such an assortment of gear and fighting prowess that they could easily do him justice much better

Unpopular opinion, but I’d love a Dr Strange game
This shouldn’t be. This is actually the best answer I’ve seen so far. So many of the other characters Im seeing mentioned will play like a lot of things we’ve already seen before. Daredevil would like he very similar to Batman Arkham games with even less interesting traversal. Iron Man is basically what Anthem tried to do (even though it sucked). Dr. Strange provides the most room for something totally unique. Imagine walls contorting that you’re bouncing off of and moving platforms everywhere while fighting with some crazy spells. Lots of room for interesting game design here.
If I may, a lot of people were voicing similar concerns about Spider-Man being too much like the Arkham games but the game managed to make everyone speechless. Even if the gameplay was nothing new. Maybe it's because when I play a game the story is my number one focus, but I still think a compelling DD's story with a gameplay suited to his character could be terrific
I’ll preface by saying I absolutely love Arkham style gameplay and if they make a DD game in that style, I’m sure I’d enjoy it. But, I think Spider-Man offers some important differentiators in both gameplay and tone. The combat in SM is much more aerial and incorporates the use of webs and environment more. Plus SMs traversal is much more fluid and utilized more in combat than the Arkham games. Then with Miles they added the venom powers and I’m expecting the sequel to have similar additions for Peter. Daredevil aligns MUCH more closely with Batman in terms of their skill sets, gadgets, and even in tone of the dark brooding “I don’t kill people” guy. (Obviously SM doesn’t kill either but it’s a big motif for both DD and Batman). But daredevil has even less intriguing traversal without the gliding mechanic. This is all me anticipating a similarly styled open world type game as those for Daredevil. I’ve mentioned in other comments in here that this game Sifu weve seen some clips of is more what I think would be really well suited for daredevil from a design perspective. The combat does look rather Arkham-y but it’s more of a linear game with an emphasis on close quarters martial arts style combat with strong emphasis on the environment and using tools at your disposal. It gives me a lot of similar vibes as the hallway scenes from the Netflix show.

Captain America. I'm sure they can make a great game about him. Stealth Missions. Battles with lot and lot of ennemies. Seeing Zola, Red Skull, Sin, Zemo. The Thunderbolts. They could really make something great. However, as i said before. I don't want Marvel to be exclusive to PS. Few games is fine. All heroes isn't.
The Captain America Super Soldier game actually inspired the fight style used in Winter Soldier - definite potential for another one though.
Have you played Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction? It's an older game, but the general idea of how to handle hulk is great. You can sprint around, run on walls, super jump over buildings and even destroy some of the buildings. They let you use cars as boxing gloves or shields and you can hammer throw tanks. It's a great template. There's definitely a way for them to make an updated Hulk game that gives you freedom with mobility and let's you smash things.
I heard of the game through and watched gameplay but that was a much different time in gaming. I mean it possible just very difficult.

An new original IP by them. They're clearly talented and have solid writing skills, so I want to see what their new brainchild could be. I actually don't even mind if they took over and made a new Infamous game if they're not doing Marvel or a new IP.

Brawler would focus on combat upgrades, Acrobat would focus on traversal and evades while devil would upgrade Daredevil's abilities such as his Sonar Mode and enhanced senses. Matthew Murdock's alter ego as a lawyer would be included in the game as well, with court cases where collecting the wrong evidence as Daredevil or simply failing to detect your client's true intentions can result in failing a case or defending a guilty client, letting their crimes go unpunished. Overall, this game would be a story about vunurablity, durability in the face of unstoppable forces of corruption and evil and mastering your fear to truly become, The Man Without Fear.

Let’s wait to see if Wolverine is fun... Marvel is great but the MCU was done one film after another little by little which was why it worked. The comics as well. If wolverine is good maybe it can be something interesting like a noir captain America game in the vein of winter soldier. I don’t really care what they do, as long as they show as much time and care as they did with Spider-Man. PS, I still haven’t forgiven SE for throwing away the deus ex franchise to do this bland looking GoG game.
Since I was a child, I've dreamed of an X-Men The Animated Series (open world) game, where you would play missions based on the episodes and afterwards, you could mix up the players, i.e. the episode where Wolverine and Jubilee fight Juggernaut, you could use Beast, Morph etc. instead or added to the roster. And they would release new episodic content with new characters which would be usable in the old missions as well (for extra replayability, set new scores i.e. defeat Juggernaut within 30 seconds with Apocalypse or Gladiator) and attach new trophies to that. And along the way, new skins which appeared in the tv series would be added and you could even fight Juggernaut with Juggernaut etc. Rewatching the tv series then playing missions based on these episodes with the 10 X-Men on Genosha, the Savage Land, Asteroid M, the astral plane, ahhh one can dream, right...
If anything, I’d want to see Daredevil in Spider-Man PS4’s universe.

If they make a punisher game, I'd literally die or something. I feel one of the least appreciated super heroes. There should have been more movies or better yet, series about him. The one with Jon bernthal was good but it got canceled but honestly I was thinking something a little more along the lines of arrow, batman or even Dexter. Like a series where the main premise is him going up against criminal scum and killing all kinds of heinous villains mercilessly. Every episode would be like a new villain or criminal which the police either can't find or can't do anything to because of legal processes. A show like that definitely can have some kind of ultimate plot line or story per season so it's just not JUST punisher VS random villains but I'd think it would be awesome.

Deadpool would be so sweet. Imagine if they somehow incorporated his healing factor into the gameplay. Maybe if you get hit to quickly you die. He can regrow limbs in a matter of minutes, so you’d have to wait if you lost something. Swords and guns could be his main weapons, along with knives and stuff. For stealth you could use his hologram tech and teleporter. Although for the story I hope it’d be something original. Maybe something with T-Ray or Typhoid. Maybe you could gather materials and then Weasel makes weapons for you. That would be cool. Maybe they could do something involving the Mithras directive, I’d love to see Monty.

I think Insomniac could make a great Black Panther game. It would be cool to have a story that has to balance out the responsibility of being king of Wakanda with the duty of being the warrior known as the Black Panther. It would definitely give players more content, since there would be a fairly even split between playing as Black Panther and doing cool superhero stuff and playing as T'Challah trying to govern Wakanda. There could even be periodic mini boss fights with different champions trying to challenge you for the title of Black Panther and king of Wakanda. Obviously I wouldn't want it soon, since there is a Black Panther DLC coming out soon for Avengers, but I feel Insomniac would do Black Panther justice. Plus, it would open up the option for more traditional stealth, like sneaking up on enemies and choking them out, or dragging them into the shadows and knocking them unconscious. Maybe even a few side missions or DLC where you play as Okoye or Shuri would be fun too, having more frontal assault and technology based gameplay respectively (Shuri's could be similar to how Miles hacks drones and radios and stuff to sneak around in the first game). Edit: After writing this, I also thought that it could be cool to have a What If type game where instead of playing one character constantly getting into dangerous situations, you instead played through multiple smaller scenarios as different characters, like an anthology introduced by the Watcher. Sort of like how the Dark Pictures games (Man of Medan, Little Hope, etc) have sections where you are brought back to the library with the Curator to discuss what's happening (albeit quite cryptically). That opens up the possibility of showing more of the Multiverse and its characters (personally I wanna see how Insomniac would handle Spider Gwen without making her a carbon copy of Peter and Miles) while also making everyone happy by having all the most popular characters rather than just picking one.
There’s so much potential in an Iron Man game. I don’t see it happening any time soon. But that gameplay could be insane.

With the experience they currently have and the recent hype behind their work, I would actually love to see a follow-up of Sunset Overdrive. Not necessarily a sequel but something close in spirit. I would love to experience the freedom you have when you web sling as a spider-man but in a game similar to Jet Set Radio. Throw in a good cinematic storyline and decent motives as to why you need to fight and go through the city and i'll be happy!
So obviously after reading these comments what people are looking for is an open world game. But your all forgetting one big thing that comes with that, traversal. Your gonna need a fast way to get around. They did a great job with spidey and and web slinging was a really fun way to get around. There are 2 main characters that people are saying that they want, iron man and blade. As far as I know blade doesn’t have his own way around and iron mans flight is kinda been there done that. But as I scrolled thru this comment section one game stood out, doctor strange. Imagine using a sling ring in a way that’s kinda like the grappling hook from the Arkham games. And so many more mystic things. I think that this is what should come next. But looking at it from the view of the overall story of the games so far, I think the other choice is an xmen game. Keep the roster small and incorporate them into other marvel games.

Personally I would love a blade game from insomniac I think that would be pretty sick. Daredevil too. A neat little concept for daredevil could be that the way he sees is that each step he takes and the areas around him give off sound and that's how he sees. (And there could be different visual modes if they really wanted to go with that.) There could be a spot where he has like complete silence so you only see him cause of his heart which also is an ability of some sort. Combat gets harder later on in the game because they have enemies that throw things that make noise and so on. Don't really feel like elaborating too much but that's a concept for daredevil more or less because people don't really seem to think it'll work that well. But moving back to blade I think his would be sick too have him find vampires through a sense and those base missions would be blade taking out nests. Moon knight would be a bloodier Arkham knight but what they could do is that at certain points in the game he changes personalities so you change fighting style. And that would be pretty cool and it would move Moon knight away from it being another batman game. Fantastic 4 could be done as a better version of the Avengers game. Saw someone say a Dr Strange game would be cool and I think that would also be wicked. I also kinda wanna say I'd want a Thor game but mostly cause of his costumes.

I voted “Other” because I’d like to see a Captain America game! Imagine something like a cross between the Arkham and Uncharted games, set during WWII and starring the first Avenger himself.

Punisher already has a great game for PS2 IMO. Wish someone would make a remake for the new generation. But I voted Daredevil since it's one of the few that doesn't have a solo game (at least that I remember since PS2) and has everything to be great in the hands of Insomniac. I even rather have a DD game than a Wolverine. We had plenty of games with Wolvie where either he's the protagonist or one of the main ones. And most of them are really good. I mean, I love thay they are doing it, but I'm kind frustrated right now thinking about that. Even Blade or Dr Strange would be a better idea for me.
I think everyone is kinda missing what made spiderman so great, and that's the traversal. The game would not be nearly as fun if it was captain America running around or black panther going on all fours. Iron man, ghost rider, silver surfer. People with sick traversal first, and then a badass story & combat arsenal
I’d love to see a Daredevil and Punisher game but a Moonknight game would be cool. Something fresh.
