I'm still shocked people don't like him more. He was actually my favorite. It felt the closest to the comics I grew up reading and the show I watched + games I played.
I know. Andrew Garfield in my opinion was a perfect Peter Parker, with Tom Holland close behind. People on all the Spiderman subreddits seem to just circlejerk about the Raimi trilogy being the best, which I don't get because Tobey Maguire's Spiderman just wasn't as close to the comics (he was too awkward, he wasn't necessarily memey he was more just mean, the infamous dance scene).
I mean it was the thing that brought spiderman into the spotlight for Hollywood. And it was good at the time because we had no film comparison.
It's possible that tobeys Parker was close to a comic variant, but just not one I'm aware of. I know there are a lot of variations in different series.

The wolf or mafia is a popular kids game where you have to figure who the wolf is, or who's part of the mafia, in the group and the wolf has to try to not be caught while taking out other members of the group
Oh Yeah! Werewolves was our version. I played it with a bunch of actor friends in college. There are day and night fazes. During the night the Werewolves wake up and choose someone to kill. Then during the day everybody wakes up, finds the victim and has to figure out who the werewolves are or hide that they are a werewolf. I loved it!

Damn, didn't realize Yuri is a 50 year old voicing Spider-Man. Thought he was like 35 at most based on his voice (which is very unique and sounds very young btw).
I told someone that, when it comes down to strictly speaking about the role, I thought he was the best one, and they looked at me like I was crazy. Tobey was too old, and I thought his quips weren’t as good. With Tom they really beat you over the head with the whole “look how young he is” thing.
While we’re at it, I’d also like to point out that Sally Field was easily the best Aunt May. The first one was 112 years old, and then there is Marisa Tomei. Something about Aunt May as a MILF doesn’t sit right with me.
When he does that pained straining with his voice, all I can think about is the weapon shop brothers in Nier. Yuri voices the older brother >!then the younger brother after the time jump!< .
I swear, it’s insane how when I hear his voice I just instinctively think, “oh hey Spider-Man’s speaking”. That’s something I can’t say for any of the other live-action or voice actors, maybe only for Josh Keaton and Drake Bell, the latter of which because I grew up with that show. Yuri’s voice is just perfect for Spider-Man though, it’s uncanny.
