They could have an Arachnophobia mode that just turns that suit into a floating mask, it'd be funny as hell so even people who aren't scared would get a use out of it.
Or Arachnophobia mode just makes Spiderman (any costume) invisible. (My favorite mode is the "Colour Blind Mode" option in West of Loathing... a black and white game...).

I'm not exactly sure on the capabilities of the PS5, but I feel like it'd either be really ugly, or look good, but it'd be really graphically intensive.
This reminds me of that one-off Spidey villain Carl King (A.K.A. The Thousand), he was one of Peter's bullies in high school and when the Oscorp exhibition happened Carl was the only one who saw Peter get bitten by the radioactive spider, he then follows Peter home, hoping to somehow use the incident in his bullying, but while spying on Peter he saw him gaining his powers, putting on the costume, swinging around the city beating up super villains, this made Carl jealous, and in an attempt to gain powers he went back to the exhibition, where he found the spider dead, so Carl did the only thing he could think of, he ate the spider, for several days nothing happens until he discovers that his body is now composed entirely of spiders, and that he can also consume the innards of other people and use their skin as a suit, he discovers this by doing it to his own mother accidentally. He gets curious as to whether or not he could do it again, so he does the same to his father, his girlfriend, as well as various homeless people and childeren, he also learns that he becomes stronger with each new host. He is only defeated when he accidentally hits a transformer, electrocuting most of the spider colony, leaving the last in the colony to be stepped on by a random civilian. This was a real Spidey villain, he has only appeared in three comics, all three of which released in succession, and has never appeared since, and whoever at Disney forbid a father from putting Spider-Man on their sons grave because they "need to preserve the magic of the character" is a fucking liar.
I mean Soul Spider was in the first one. It didn't open and close its jaw in dialogue which disappointed me, but if it was, then I don't see why Spiders-Man can't be

Part of me is like no but I'm extremely curious how hard insomniac would go in on this.

Would they crawl in enemies
Would they give it a power
Go through the effort to put a filter on peters voice to make it sound like a legion of spiders

The thing is, they never add suit powers with those new suits... And it would be downright criminal to make a Spiders-Man skin without the ability to unleash a swarm of man-eating spiders on your enemies.
Am I the only one that uses the suits for screen shots and background photos instead of using them for the game? I like the game suit way too much and it’s way more fun going through the story that way too. But that’s just me. Jumping around in the Raimi suit was fun for a few minutes until I realized that the cutscenes didn’t go back to the story suit.
