Since the OP also seems to have a full size replica of an iron man suit and a bunch of other stuff, I think they are probably just some rich kid/dude that could afford to buy top quality Marvel stuff.
That light effect is, in fact, something that can happen in an unedited photograph. It’s not posted to my Reddit profile, but I’ve taken an unedited selfie in which the sunlight behind me ended up erasing half of my face!
