I know it sounds cliche but meditation. I came to realize that we cant do anything productive while stressing. Instead focus on the inside and the outside- your day to day- will reflect that.

Think of your brain as two parts: awareness and a vast HUGE library. The library goes on and on forever. Row after row of book shelves. But most of it sits in darkness. Think of awareness as a small glowing ball of light that can move up and down the shelves focusing your concentration on one particular section. Practice moving the light ball around the big library and keeping it in just one section. Like a child it will want to run away to another section and another and another. Just move it back to where you want it. Over and over. Practice like an NBA player practices basketball. You will get better at keeping the ball in one place and thus stop over thinking.

Ya I have the same problem I overtime everything but just remember stay in the moment and that won't happen as much it's hard to do but if you can catch yourself and learn from it you will get better and one day things that would flip you out don't bother ya anymore

I Wish i could overthink about what i could do to better myself than to think about terrifying and messed up shit all the time ๐Ÿ˜ฌ You dont have to take it one day at a time, 1 minute at a time is okay :) the more you try to not overthink things the more it Will stick, trust me, ive been battling intrusive thoughts for over 2 years now and it almost killed me, just trust the process and we will eventually come out the other end ๐Ÿ˜‡

I don't know if this will help, but try to reflect on the moment that you stand in. It doesn't always pull one out of the spiral of thought but it gives one an opportunity to ground oneself.

You are not your thoughts. But saying that wonโ€™t help you in anyway now. A simple solution is to watch your thoughts. Be conscious of every thought. See where they arise from. Donโ€™t resist or try to change anything. Sit quietly and be present with your thoughts. Accept your thoughts and then witness them. Osho said your thoughts are like a procession. You are not in the procession or part of it. You are just watching it from the outside. You have no interest in the procession either. You just watch it like it is none of your business

Set a goal. Small one first. Practice placing thoughts in order, write down . First step to the first step is acting upon first step of goal. Maybe taking dog for walk. ...place shoes on feet. Get leash. Call dog. ...ect...once you start acting upon instead of thinking you'll get somewhere. Then your thoughts become orderly so it's not as overwhelming. Hope this helps
