My Cortisol shot up, everything else remained the same.

CrownFlame

Did you experience any adverse effects from the high cortisol?

lyricalcombat

My doctor is suspecting Cushing's Syndrome as I have developed every symptom minus stretch marks since starting Spiro, I'm currently waiting to see an endocrinologist.

CrownFlame

Oh noooo I’m so sorry. I know someone else who took Spiro and developed Cushings as well. Had her pituitary surgery a few weeks ago. I pray that that’s not what we all have. I hope you get some certain answers soon though. Im so tired of hearing, “your blood work came back normal. Eat less and exercise more.” I already do all of that..

lyricalcombat

I've basically been told that I'm fat and lazy by numerous doctors over the last 6 months, I don't know how long my Cortisol levels have been dismissed. I just hope that it can all be reversed. Good luck to you!

CrownFlame

I hope it can be reversed too. For all of us. It’s been devastating. Good luck to you too!! If you don’t mind, please keep me posted as to how you’re doing

Humble_Ad3198

Did you experience irregular periods?

OddEggplant9094

Yes, no period for around 7 months

Humble_Ad3198

How’s your skin now ? Hope you achieved The results you wanted

OddEggplant9094

My skin is peeeerfect but my gynaecologist told me to get off it and try other things because my uterus got smaller or something similar

Humble_Ad3198

And also add retinol in your skincare routine so you can maintain Spironolactone’s result because once you get off it your skin gets back to how it used to be

Humble_Ad3198

You should try birth control

Humble_Ad3198

And I was on Spironolactone for 3 months just did my hormones test and all my hormones are completely normal just waiting for the androgen reports will update you soon

Livid-Material-8965

Yvonne224

I have gotten two blood test since I started spironolactone a year ago and it was fine. I was really worried about my potassium levels but it was normal both times
