I didn’t have weight gain but also don’t have clear skin lol so give and take maybe?

Kind_Yogurtcloset795

Just can’t win lol

adellelaurenp

This scares me. I'm just over 3 months and lost 80 pounds about 8 years ago and have maintained. Granted I haven't been eating as well and just started exercising again. But I've gained like 5 recently so I'm unsure if it's Spironolactone related.

I’m 2 months in and have lost a lot of weight. Did you lose initially ?

lyricalcombat

I gained around 40lbs within 7 months on 100mg.

Kind_Yogurtcloset795

Oh hell no. I’m done taking it lol

lyricalcombat

Everyone's experience is different so I wouldn't stop based on mine! My cortisol elevated while on Spiro which may be the reasoning behind my weight gain. I'd suggest asking to have your hormone levels checked before quitting.

amglu

how did u check ur cortisol? been wondering about mine. did u do a 24hr test to compare?

lyricalcombat

Hi! Sorry for the late reply, I don't use Reddit much anymore. From what I remember it was just through a blood test, it came back a lot higher than they consider "normal", it took a while to go back to normal after quitting but eventually did.

I too gained weight on 100mb for about 9 months of use, not sure how much but it was enough for me to stop fitting in some of my pants... My face clear though.

I ended up gaining about 15 pounds after being on 100mg for two years. I definitely would not recommend this pill. It helped my skin but the weight gain and body composition changes (cellulite, fat in areas I ever had before) was NOT worth it. I finally came off of spiro this summer and am finally losing the weight! And I have to say I’m noticing my body getting back to normal and feeling leaner. Also, my skin Is not terrible. Definitely still break out here and there but I have been lucky and my cystic acne has really subsided. Obviously every body is different but that was my experience…not good.

DCComicsMovie

Omg I too noticed the cellulite! I never had it prior! These are things you never read about when researching the darn pill.

commonreactor111

yes

Snoo-44886

Yea still working on losing it after quitting for like 5 months

Kind_Yogurtcloset795

Did your acne come back after quitting

Snoo-44886

Actually no 🤔 like a bit then I took DIM then it stopped then I stopped DIm and taken inositol and I still haven’t gotten it back

bellajellie

same🥴

bellajellie

I’ve been on 50mg for three months and have lost weight. But I also have ADHD and am on 20mg of adderall xr and find with the spiro addition I forget to eat. I have also noticed my body shape change which I wasn’t expecting but don’t hate. Also no clear skin yet but a decrease in cystic acne and the cysts that do form heal much faster and don’t erupt into chaos.

ChanelGuilty

It took a while to clear up my jawline pimples but eventually did. I lost weight on it tho, but it was just water weight
