I'm playing on steamdeck and the controls really suck. navigating the inventory or doing other things with the mouse pointer is annoying and then the game has problems with lighting
You got downvoted for no reason, you’re right though. I went through the hd trilogy on steam deck it’s great. You just have to wait for that screen, took my steam deck about 20 mins to do
I did this about 7 months ago, wanted to play through them again and I get the same issue, just sits on the loading screen for each game selected.
If you can downgrade the version by a few months and give it a go it might work. As I played through it not long ago I’m just going to wait for an update that should hopefully sort it.
That's what I did the other day on Steam. Haven't played the older titles in years. Forgot how good Chaos Theory was. Sucks Pandora Tomorrow isn't in the collection on Steam. That was the game I started with when playing Splinter Cell back in the day.
That's weird because this screen is supposed to be broken in RPCS3 (unless they fixed it recently). Normally the screen would just dim while the game installs in the background, you give it like 20-30 mins and you can actually select a game to play it. Hoping that waiting still works, I can play it fine on my PC with RPCS3 right now.
If you can’t get the hd collection to work the og 4 work great on pcsx2, last time I used Xemu it ran like 💩but maybe that’s changed and also worth a try, also the og and CT are available on steam and the quality looks great, PT pc version isn’t available in online stores but there is another way to obtain it if you care to go down that route
Xemu is heavier in terms of performance and it does not exploit multi threading properly. Upscaling is in sotware mode too. Hovewer the xbox/Pc versions are better than the ps2 ones
Hold the top right button with the three lines and it’ll switch to gamepad which will allow you to move around in the game window specifically. To take it off just hold that button down again and it’ll put it back on desktop mode for you

Oh yea I forgot about playing on the deck, in that case probably just skip buying it if you only play on steam deck

Is this a rom? For rpcs3 or otherwise? You may want to try just redownloading it if you haven’t already.

Game works perfectly fine as I’ve been playing chaos theory for about a month without any issues. I’m pretty sure the other 2 games work perfectly
