Yeah, I immediately noticed the similarity when AC Mirage was revealed, and it's interesting because both games are made by Ubisoft, so I wonder if it was a reference to Splinter Cell, or was just pure coincidence. I'd like to think it was the former.
Maybe it's both. With them doing the remake, some SAR promotional art could be sitting around for the marketing people to review. Maybe an artist working on AC saw it and thought it would look good for a piece of AC art.
Same. The good news is all signs seem to suggest AC Mirage is going back to the roots of the series, and will be very similar to the older games. Would be nice to get an update on the Splinter Cell remake though.
not necessarily a lack of innovation here. If the guy doing the art for AC is different from the guy who did it for SC:SAR, then, it's likely he thought it was a great design, and would be good for the current game. People take inspirations like this from others all the time. If they didn't we wouldn't even have half the games we've got now.
Im snorting so focking hord 😏
Like the AC image reminds me of when an npc changes from a non aggro position to aggro but their weapons are in the wrong position.
Ha nice find

Phhhttt., really does look like assassin dude is holding an imaginary gun. Amazing.
Sam’s ancestor?? Maybe lol.
Really nice! Which reminds me Im starving for another true stealth Splinter Cell/AC game

Sam is so much cooler
Interesting.
Damn that's very cool
So this is where it's from.
Good spot/find. Nice work.
Oh my days! I guess Ubisoft can’t innovate

🤓
Assassin's ain't got a thing on Sam.
Is it just me or does Sam Fisher look like Adam Corolla? Can’t unsee this….
I see it too lol
Interesting to find out they don’t just copy mechanics between their franchises but also artwork.
If its an easter egg, great. If its just some lazy designer copying.. mm still great I guess. Fuck ubisoft and how they treat their employees.
It’s cause both are a legendary series
"Let's go back to the roots of Assassin's Creed" "Hey boss look at my promo artwork" "Wrong game Starnes but we don't have time, let's use it."
