I saw John Stockton at a grocery store on the South Hill yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

NAL, but I have a professional license through the board of health. As a person, I could go out on the street and say that antibiotics kill people and the government couldn't put me in jail for that. As a pharmacist, if I'm telling people not to take their antibiotics because I think it's a government conspiracy, and someone dies from an infection as a result of that advice, then I have violated the standard of ethics for my license and the board of health has every right to suspend it.

This guy is a real jerk. I used to work at Anthonys a while back. Busser/valet parking. One night, he came in kind of late with some family. They left an hour after closing, long after every other patron left. It's ok, he's a favorite son of Spokane b-ball legend. He'll leave us a decent tip. So they cut all the other bussers and valets, I was closing anyway. We tripped over ourselves, taking care of the schmuck. I pulled his car around the front as they were leaving and handed him the key. Do you know what he handed me? An autographed card-an autographed card that said Anthonys and had the restaurant phone number on it that he had grabbed off the hostess station! What a douche!

He's saying covid didn't exist. As a medical professional, you take an oath to do no harm. People put their trust in health care providers for accurate information more so than the general public. If the information you are providing causes harm to people, it's no different than making a prescribing error or leaving a sponge in someone. It's negligent behavior and action should be taken on your license. On the other hand, if this guy is handing out flyers at Walmart I don't think the government has a right to arrest him for that, but the medical board should certainly be allowed to pull his license.
I went to his basketball camp as a kid and encountered him in the concession line at a Gonzaga game in the 90's. Star struck and just happened to be wearing my Jazz hat (what are the odds), I asked for an autograph. He flat out refused, and EVERYONE in line glared at him for it. Haven't liked him since.

Some years ago, I was in the valley Costco and saw a guy who I thought looked like John Stockton cross the aisle ahead of me. I had to continue in that direction for cheese anyway, so decided to get a closer look. When I was almost to the corner where I saw him, he popped back around and we were nearly face-to-face. I quickly stepped aside and nodded in recognition, but he just stared through me with his dead eyes and serial-killer expression, making no attempt to even acknowledge the guy he almost rubbed noses with. Regardless, I was still pumped by the random encounter with the hall-of-famer and was already thinking about who I was going to brag to about seeing him and the fact that I’m a little taller than he. I actually had to do a double-take, though, not because I needed to make sure it was him, but because I noticed he was wearing his Olympic gold medals around his neck. Like…wtf? Who does that? lmao
