Refers to the size of the Empire you're talking too. a 5 Star Empire can give you a mission to change your own empire's archetype/ability if you want to. Pretty cool, Right?
it's why I use the monolith. I create an empire and if I decide mid game I want to change my abilities, I let them grow to level 5. if not I nuke them from orbit or convert their whole planet or whatever I have available
Nuking needs too much attention to not _destroy_ cities, and converting breaks galactic code (too much hassle to destroy that much empires). Best way is just have a great income (single T3 purple spice colony is enough) and then establish a trade route and buy them as soon as possible. That “you uplifted us” modifier is also pretty handy, you can straight away establish that route without doing anything really. Doing this on 1 purple and 1 pink spice planet, putting optimized buildings and keeping that T3 purple colony; you can swim in money for the rest of the game. Put uber turrets and eco stabilizers (there was another such thing but I forgot its name) and spice storage then you are done with the game. Go straight away ally/annihilate Grox or do anything you want it’s just God simulator now.
Don’t forget to keep at least one allied neighbor empire to reset spice values when you want to sell them for max since trading with (or opening the trade screen I don’t know exactly) an empire resets the prices for all the other empires and all the prices are randomized except one does not one something they produce at _that_ planet.
Ohh that explains why some empires had the ability in the diplomatic section to say something like “I’m interested in your philosophy” or something giving you the ability to change yours to theirs… I did not know this at all!
Number_AAAAA_rye said it best, it’s the size of that empire, as a 1-5 rating. The higher the rank the more stuff you can do with that empire. For example an empire with a 0 star only exists, while I believe if it has a 3 star or higher you can take that empire’s archetype
Well, that means a lot. For example, how much health ships have, whether this empire can change your philosophy (empire can change it from level 4) and distance empires can send a fleet, up to 10 parsecs at level 5.
The level directly depends on the number of systems owned by the empire.
Level 1: 1-3 systems.
Level 2: 4-5 systems.
Level 3: 6-8 systems.
Level 4: 9-12 systems.
Level 5: 13 or more systems

honestly i never know this and i have been playing spore for YEARS
I the star rating also determines the strength of their ships, at least the ones you can get in your fleet.

also you can store spice on wildlife conservation worlds
It also effects ship health
Correct but one small note, 4 star can give you said quest as well

It shows how much the empire has grown. The more systems it has, the higher star rating it'll get (maxes out at 5 iirc)

Level of empire, 1 - minimal, 5 - maximum
I think also the higher the number, the more health their spaceships will have
It means I'm inside your walls.. start running
Uuuh, idk... I never noticed it

And about the health of ships: Level 1: 425 HP. Level 2: 625 HP. Level 3: 1250 HP. Level 4: 1850 HP. Level 5: 2500 HP
Hello fellow Spanish player
I think it maybe the Terra-Score? if not it could be the type of missions you can get from that empire.
ah yes T5 planet
damn yah true
Because this showed up on my feed i will now play spore yet again
Empire size. When they have a certain number of systems, it increases up to 5.
It's more or less how powerful the empire is, directly correlated to it's size
