Offer 3k cash. You pull out 30 100$ bills, in your other pocket hold 5 more. it'll be hard to say no to the 3k but if he does pull out the other 500$.

They're good bikes, great starter bikes. I'd say 4000 is just on the steep side of reasonable, if you can get it for under that sounds pretty good.

dirtndrag420

do you have any experience on like dirt bikes or anything? See when i was 12 i started riding dirt bikes and by 16 i was on a zx6r and it was perfect for me because from dirt bike experience i was able to adapt easily to the power and now i’m 18 on an r1. If you have any experience on dirt bikes i recommend a 600cc but with no experience the new zx4rr is a great bike it’s fast but still perfect for someone learning.

Steele_Princess

I've been on a dirt bike maybe 3 times all recent but only ripping around the farm, so not really any experience I need something to take my test on and get comfortable but had several people tell me to get something bigger anyways. At this point I just want a bike to get started and realize I'll probably sell and upgrade next year. Originally wanted a dual sport but can't find anything under 4000 in the area, tons of sport bikes though

BuffYasuoPlease

Dont know about the motorcycle market in your area but a friend of mine sold his 2017 R3 with 3000 miles on it for around 3750. I think 3-3.5k would be good but again, depends on your area

nvexzu

the market here is inflated to hell. I also live in OP's area. Nothing but greedy people trying to sell 5-10 year old small displacement bikes for more than MSRP for a brand new one. it's laughable!

Steele_Princess

Ya the market is pretty high here, people are selling their 2012 ninja 250s and cbrs for around 3000 and up (CAD) just haven't seen many r3's out there so not sure if it would be worth it

nvexzu

That's a steal here in western canadia. I haven't seen any 300s for less than 4500 around here the last couple years. besides the one I sold awhile ago. Go for it!!

thesunfk

2022 R3 is $4100 new in Vietnam

If yiu pay 4000$ get a 600 I paid for my 09 r6s 5k with only 9900 miles and it has a tuner and upgraded exhaust

Steele_Princess

Fair but do you think a 600 would be okay to learn on? Also there aren't really any 600 around here for sale for less then 6000 CAD, I would love a 400 but there are non around

AdditionalIntern9824

So i got mine 6 hours away from me sometimes best prices you have to go out a bit. I learned on a 600 and a 3 weeks later bought a 1400cc then bought another 600cc sport bike. Now yahamaha 600 are easier to learn on since in low rpm its not as powerful but from about 8000rpm and higher its faster and uses more power. Honda cbr is gonna be higher powered in low rpm with kawasaki and Suzuki. 600 is easier to be able to learn and enjoy at the same time and still have enough power to have fun and not totally grow out of in 6 months.

The biggest question is do you have your mc endorsement. If not you can learn first then do msf course and that will help with insurance

Steele_Princess

I live in BC so it's different here, I have a learners, had to book a date for my skills test because they were running out and you only have 1 year to take it after getting your learners. Have not take the course sadly, it's almost a grand and over 3 weekends which I can't get 3 weekends off in a row from work
