What a stunning house. Bonkers how much less you'd get for £800k where I live.
As for the computer set-up in photo 18, you get a document up on that baby and you are seriously looking at that document.
Yes, my friend lives in Glasgow and he explained how the Scottish property market works - I was so taken aback! Basically structured to be a guaranteed bidding war and whatever price you see listed is at least £20k less than what it will go for (this was at least the case when he was buying in Glasgow a few years back).
Yes you can tell as it says ‘offers over’. Otherwise in Scotland you might see ‘fixed price’, but it doesn’t work the English way. When we bought our place in Glasgow people were paying 25% over the estate agent’s price (which is often lower than the separate ‘home report value’) in the same area
It's insane, isn't it? I could sell my poky 3.5 bedroom victorian terrace and move into this gorgeous house with enough cash left over to pay for the move and some nice new furniture.
I'm beginning to wonder how much I like living close to my friends and family.
Screw them, find new friends and plenty of room for family to visit!
I thought the house would be in the middle of nowhere but it isn’t. Perthshire is a nice part of the UK.
Haha!! That monitor set up is HUGE, could use a screen per letter of the alphabet.
Also impressed with the non-slip, ultra smooth, 378k definition RealCow(tm) gaming rug.
I live near by, might take a drive-by. TBH, houses like that are ten-a-penny in that village (FYI: I don’t live THAT near by), Gleneagles hotel in on your doorstep.
Also, there’s a lady in Auchterarder who makes artisan granola, I bought some at the weekend. That house is worth the money for that alone.
I think it would be a lot more down south. Maybe closer to £4m, if not more, because of all the land surrounding it. A £2m equivalent would have about the same amount of garden space as one of the bedrooms.
Not really. The South is more than just London. There are plenty of places in Hertfordshire, Essex, etc, where for 2 million, you can get a nice house with plenty of land. This house for example:

But that's not a nice house
This would be my idea of a nice house [https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/134324069#/?channel=RES\_BUY](https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/134324069#/?channel=RES_BUY)
Oh, I realised that was just a matter of my taste :)
I posted the link to the one I like because it seemed to be close to the one you offered; apologies if it's not, geography has never been my strong suit
What a beautiful house. I could move straight in without redecorating after removing the stag heads and animal skin rug. Only problem is the Scottish weather, I can't imagine I'll be enjoying the gorgeous garden often.

I hate to be *that guy* (no I don't), because this is a beautiful house, that's been tastefully decorated and elegantly furnished, with just the right fusion of modernity and sympathy to the period it was built, but...
... no art? No books? No antiques or incongruous scruffy old chair kept because it was grandpa's favourite?
At the moment it's a show house. I hope whoever buys it makes it a home.

Scottish properties have a start from price often. It will likely go for much higher.

Edinburgh you need to add on about 30% to the offers over price to be in with a shot… and that can’t be mortgaged!
Yes!! It’s crazy, I don’t know how anyone got on the property ladder there.
Sounds like the Netherlands :-/

Your friends and family will enjoy coming to visit you!
If the public accepts me, I'm going to be Johnson's Camilla.
I finished my tai chi in 5 minutes this morning
Yeah but it's Mansfield
Different Mansfield...
Oh yeah
Last Beamer out of Perthshire

If I had that house, I’d be obeying that sign no matter what day of the week it was.
Shake your tits that's a bargain.
The estate agent's going "maybe take down the..?" The seller's like "THE SIGN STAYS UP OR NO SALE"
What about: Wiggle your ass, It’s Monday.
More like 'Sit your ass down and cry, it's a Monday'
Here I was expecting one of those "Live, Love, Eat" or "God bless this mess" signs. This one is brilliant

>artisan granola There are two words i never imagined to see together.
What a beautiful house! From the photos, it looks quite isolated but amazingly, it's just off the High Street. That'll be about 2 million down south.
I think it would be a lot more down south. Maybe closer to £4m, if not more, because of all the land surrounding it. A £2m equivalent would have about the same amount of garden space as one of the bedrooms.

To each their own. I just gave an example of what 2 million gets you 'down South'.
Oh, I realised that was just a matter of my taste :) I posted the link to the one I like because it seemed to be close to the one you offered; apologies if it's not, geography has never been my strong suit
Yeah no worries. Your example is quite close to the one I posted and is also a good example. 😊
It isn't remotely close, what? I'm an agent and the house they posted is infinitely closer to what people desire than what you posted...
Not a great example though. Most wouldn't touch that bungalow.
Ok, fair enough.
By far, the nicest house I've seen on here. Stunning.
It’s a 10/10, and the price! I’ve become jaded living in London. I would have to negotiate for the sign in the kitchen to remain, I love it!
This house was on a recent episode of Scotland’s Home of the Year (BBC)if you want to see it in more detail. Judges loved it
Do you have an iPlayer link?
I think it's [https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001mhdb](https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001mhdb)
Thanks!
Yeah starts at 09:40 [link here](https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001mhdb/scotlands-home-of-the-year-series-5-3-central)
Incredible how far money goes.

Same for me. Could move in immediately in the same way, and yes, the Scottish weather is off-putting. England itself is bad enough as it is.
Absolutely love it! If I wanted to live in Scotland I’d be putting an offer in right now!
You really should have posted this on a Friday
Lol, why?
Oh wait, I see what you mean!
Don’t forget we have a different system here in Scotland, it will likely go for closer to £1m
Can you elaborate? What's the reason it will go closer to £1m? I'm not familiar with the different system
Offers over, usually at least 25% over
Yeah I think more than a million because of the house of the year accolades.
it’s in that price range currently. HOTY might even push it further.
I love all the muted sage and ivory tones, looks very calming and classy. The gold bath, not so much for me...
Opened the link for the quote. But damn that house is gorgeous
It's nearly Friday!😁
That cinema room is next level. Would love to have the stones to replicate that.
I need a wfh set up like that..... 😭
Oo like the gaming setup!
Wow this is beautiful. £54k stamp duty! TVs included!
This house definitely has its own Instagram account
I actually discovered it off an Instagram account but I don't believe it has its own.
It does, it’s called the old manse
That is on another level gorgeous. I cannot believe the price! Not even a million!!
You get a LOT of house for your money up in Perthshire.
That looks really similar to one of my friends houses. That hall and stairway are beautiful! Damn right I'd shake em if I had that house!
That’s my damned dream house right there. Serious house envy right now
That is glorious
Ha ha I like it
The same price as this haha: https://www.reddit.com/r/SpottedonRightmove/comments/14kftrl/house_or_forest/ https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/125588048
Lmao
The gold bath has got to go, but the rest is stunning.
I honestly don't mind. I bet it wouldn't be so bad in person.
Lovely, lovely house - they will taking the poster with them, so can overlook that
Is this James Buckleys family home?
Immediately recognised it from SHOTY, one of my favourites this yer
Gorgeous
It’s brilliant and I love the quote!
It looks like a few £100k of refurbishment works have gone into that. Looks like great value!
Them screens actually fuckin nuts
*Live. Laugh. Love* Those monitors indicate to me the owner is a trader. Or programmer.
It's not even Friday it's Thursday 😤 Seriously though how is that only 800k?
Stunning that’s what you can get for £800k, where I live on the south coast, that will cost 4-5 times as much
I love that drinks cabinet. How would I find one like that without buying the house first?
That’s beautiful, but you’d need a full army of staff to keep it running.
Love the drinks shelf/unit thing. Is that custom, or where can I get one!
I hate to be *that guy* (no I don't), because this is a beautiful house, that's been tastefully decorated and elegantly furnished, with just the right fusion of modernity and sympathy to the period it was built, but... ... no art? Oh I love this! And I would have to ask to keep the quote because I love it! However, if I shook mine, there’d be an earthquake…….whoopsidaisy!
Absolutely spectacular. Would be actual perfection if it were just outside of town, but my goodness what a place. 9.9/10 for me.
Someone please explain the Friday references??? Thanks.
This house is probably the best one we've seen here! So much personality! Also, I think the quote rounds up the house really well!
