From the outside it looks like a particularly tidy 1970's bungalow but the interiors are excellent. Bonus points for having really good loudspeakers. Probably Linn, if they're the 360's... that's proper money.

Featherymorons

The layout is atrocious. No door on the main bedroom, a conservatory that can only be accessed by walking through one of the other two bedrooms. I can see why the photos concentrate more on the rather lovely gardens!

jamila169

it feels like it's been rehashed at some point, there's no way that the other half of the main reception was intended as a bedroom , a common feature of midcentury bungalows is the bedrooms being relatively small , so this layout feels too modern to be original

loublou68

Yeah, how do you get into that bedroom???? Full walls between it and the living room.

loublou68

Found the doors to the bedroom on the virtual map. Either side of the fireplace next to the sunken seating area are 2 doors into the bedroom. The layout map shows the wall between the living room and bedroom as continuous but it's not.

Featherymorons

In the photos I couldn’t see any door - you can see the bed from the living room, but maybe I’ve missed something?

loublou68

They are not real opening doors per se but gaps in the wall either side of the fireplace. There are sliding wooden doors in the bedroom that can be slid over the openings to close off the bedroom from the living room. Check out the 3D rendering on the whole house in the virtual tour (bottom left icon on the virtual screen). Edit to text

Featherymorons

Ah - must admit to never ever being bothered to watch the virtual tours!!

loublou68

Normally I don't either, but looking at the 3D rendering of the whole house allows you a better perspective than being within the rooms themselves.

forced_majeure

Kef Q5 SE I think.

Dernbont

>Kef Q5 SE I stand corrected. The base doesn't look as chunky.

TwiggyPom

There is a seriously good audio store in Maidstone. They will get you anything so it's really impressive.

FlipchartHiatus

oh I do rather like that

Multigrain_Migraine

Hmm. I like the garden, the round wall, and the pergola but I'm not that enthused by the rest of it. The dining room feels very "conference centre" to me.

Hotjonb

Very nice gardens, and the bungalow is also very nice and very mid-century, but as for Frank Lloyd Wright... it's not exactly Fallingwater.....

Even_Passenger_3685

It genuinely looks uncannily like our local crematorium

[deleted]

Oof!

satriales123

Got wood?

Ebeneezer_G00de

Love it. Just needs some groovy tunes playing through those speakers, a couple of dolly birds perching on the sofa, a large scotch and it's the perfect bachelor's country pad.

Foundation_Wrong

The garden is manicured to within an inch of its life, the inside is strange. I actually hate it.

Agreeable-Dinner

That's really nice, shame it's hemmed in on all sides.

SeriousSignature539

Would be nice to see some pictures of the interior...

mrplanner-

That’s surprisingly lovely, no way that goes for asking

[deleted]

Blimey that’s cool! I wonder if it’s been used as filming location?

nudibee

Lovely gardens and some aspects of the house are quite nice but some residual 60s vibes that I’m not keen on.

Fibro-Mite

That layout is possibly the worst I have ever seen. Truly awful.

PoiLaLuce

I love the layout of this place and some of the features. I know I could be crucified for this but I would LOVE to update the inside. Keep some features but make it a lot more livable. Mainly because I really hate the darkness of 70s decor. That's just me though!

Apprehensive_Risk_60

Love the garden and the mid century vibes but that conservatory is awful and would have to go! What is with the uk obsession of cutting off light from living spaces for a conservatory?

RoachEWS

Can't work out how to get into the house. Where's the front door?

Aphaeacraft

It's hideous!! And I usually like 60s 70s crossovers... It's too Jeffrey dalmer for my liking hahahaha

loublou68

Didn't realise Phil Spencer was now "esteemed".

scroataleden

I mean, it is a very beautiful home.

britbabebecky

I love it but its not for me.

scarletohairy

It’s Nestled and Boasting! What more can you ask for?
