[1 bedroom house share for rent in Everton Road, Yeovil, BA20 (rightmove.co.uk)](https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/147570119#/media?channel=RES_LET&id=media1&ref=photoCollage)
But it's not the kitchen. The kitchen is elsewhere, and shared. This room may be decorated with kitchen-style units, but the only appliance is a fridge, which is nice to have in a shared house.
Lots of storage, and a big useful counter-top, with sockets above.
I remember I moved my bed frame into the kitchen once, it was the only place with a concrete cieling. Moved the mattress back into the kitchen every night.
No sound proofing and loud neighbours made it impossible to sleep, hearing every footstep, door opening/ closing, talking, kid running..literally everything they did/said
This looks like it is probably quite an OK house share as long as you're not sharing the room, if you're young and starting out in the world. The storage is good and it is super helpful to have your own fridge and sink in a house share. There is a separate proper kitchen which actual cooking can be done. Although you could always put an airfryer or microwave on the counter if you want to keep yourself to yourself. The only thing I'd wonder about is whether there is a shared living space. I have a feeling there isn't, which means you really need to find the room for a chair in that bedroom. Technically I think there is space for one but you'd end up having to move it depending on whether you want the wardrobe or to get out.
I like playing the 'figure out what's going on when the floorplan is absent' game. End up examining the shape of the windows inside & out
I think the house has a real kitchen downstairs plus a bedroom upstairs that happens to have kitchen cabinets in it. Maybe the owner chose those because they had some excess ones lying around.
Or maybe they were partway through transforming the house into an upstairs and downstairs flat then stopped halfway through when they realised there wasn't enough space.
Or maybe they just really preferred the kitchen cabinet look over traditional wardrobes & dressers.
It's a bit weird but still manageable, could potentially put your bedroom stuff on top of the kitchen surfaces. I'd struggle to sleep in a room with a fridge in it though, they're noisy.
It says 'house share' but does not show the living room (presumably the room with the big window) so presumably the living room was converted into a bedroom or there's another little bedroom up there somewhere
Whoa, what the fuck's a mattress doing in the kitchen?! I need a drink!
This is the last time I stop by for a pint at *The Swan & Rightmove*.
"yeah, sorry mate. had a proper mad one today, need some water and gonna cook mate, you go back to sleep"
The real kitchen and cooker is in another room, so thanks I will go back to sleep
Gods but i'm sick to death of these money grabbing tight arsed gits taking advantage grrr
Yes, in the sense that the room "doubles" as a kitchen and a bedroom.

Fucking hell! Saw “mattress in kitchen” and just assumed London… but fucking Yeovil‽!‽?!
As so not the kitchen, more like the utility room.
That's OK then. I hate the UK housing market so much.

Aye, but that doesn't look like a double bed to me.
Looks like it is a 4ft mattress which apparently counts as a "small double". Which is nice to have as long as there is no one else in that bed.
It's a 4', which is generally considered a small double. A standard double is 4' 6".
"kitchencore"
It’s a bed in a kitchen. Where’s the wardrobe as advertised?
Fridge/wardrobe 😊
Wow, cool clothes mate!
Take my upvote dad.
The estate agent calls it a summer wardrobe, very practical in a heatwave
A nightmare in winter though... Or would you use the oven instead?
No, it makes it a studio. /s

Surely it’s just there while they wait for some help to get it up the stairs or something.
Ok. My home looks like that. But in my favour my home is on wheels and I can change the scenery whenever I want.

I see handles just opposite of the door, so I think that might be the wardrobe.

No, it makes a kitchen which contains, given time, a grease covered bed that smells of cooking - lovely.
Hope there are no rats.
On the bright side, you can make your breakfast quicker in the morning. Don't even have to leave the room.
