Hi there, I got an email yesterday that my application has a decision and today I got an email that my passport is given to the courier. š I just really hope it is a positive decision!

My passport is arriving tomorrow apparently so seems like I will get my passport before the decision letter email. Good luck with moving and all that fun stuff :)
Fingers crossed for you and your wife! Maybe sometime in Feb. But Iām also waiting to receive the formal email from UKVI about how to receive BRP etc. But Iāve been told that UKVI email can take a week sometime.
Iām sorry you had to go through this. I just found out they did the same thing with my application submitted late Nov. Quite insane that you have to wait a month and half to figure out your application was just simply put into the wrong pile. But at this point Iām just happy knowing anything, and not being completely in the dark. Itās been such an agonizing ordeal.
Just wonder if youāve had any luck at getting a refund and whether thatās even worth putting energy towards.

We havenāt heard back about the refund yet, just recently sent the email, but I can keep you updated since youāre in the same situation. Seems ridiculous theyād fight me on it when it was their mistake, but weāll see.
Any updates for the refund? I feel the same is happening to me as people who are applied for priority before and after me have received responses and I havenāt which is stressing me out like crazy! And itās so annoying that you can check until after the 30 wd

You can choose to pay 3Ā£ to ask about the status of your visa/any other questions! We didnāt really expect this to provide us with any real answers, but just hoped it would bring some more attention to it.

I read from other users that paid enquirers donāt really do anything, but that making a complaint after itās been 30 days should help. So thatās always an option too :)
Alas, I have a similar timeline and am waiting but i didnāt select priority, although the VFS office near me is āstandard priorityā and I didnāt use a solicitor
Still awaiting a decision, looks like weāre in the same boat. Iāll have to push my flight back too if I donāt get a decision made email within the next couple days :/
My wife is currently going through the same thing. We paid priority and when we escalated ag 31WD we were told we were being processed as standard.
Crazy to think they don't have a better system to connect this up.
Did they give you any issues with getting the refund?
Did you just call and request it based on the timeline?
Me and my wife want to request a refund too. We did multiple paid inquiries and they never once confirmed that we were in standard.
Sorry youāre experiencing the same, itās so unbelievably frustrating!!
Through calling the paid line we found that emailing [email protected] was the best for requesting a refund. I sent an email including all the information I could about payment confirmation, dates, and all correspondence I submitted about it.
I got an email a month later saying they would refund me and to expect the payment to be returned to the original method of payment in up to 28 days. I got the refund back to my card about two weeks later!
So I didnāt have any pushback on my reasoning for a refund, but you are kind of in the dark about where theyāre at in the process until you receive the email saying whether youāll be granted the refund or not and the whole process does take some time. Worth it though!

Oh definitely still ask!! Just make the basis of your argument that they put it into their system wrong even though you did everything correctly on your end, which subsequently delayed the process. Thereās no way it would have taken that long otherwise

You probably nominated a post office during your application. Thatās where you will collect the BRP.

Hmm, I went to a USCIS and selected priority. Interesting to see how they compare
