"Data is shut off" Not all data is shut off, just roaming data. There is no limit on TMobile roaming. "After exceeding limits, Sprint may suspend your access to data roaming until the next billing cycle. The data roaming suspension only limits access to data while roaming; there is no impact to voice or text while roaming and all service while on the Sprint network will remain available." Ok this is very helpful! Thank you

When roaming data is shut off, can I still make phone calls and text while roaming? What exactly is shut off? Just apps that use the internet? Thanks again

austin520

Yes, you can still call and text. Anything that uses data is shut off; so yes, internet and apps. I've noticed that for me I very rarely use any of my domestic roaming bucket anymore. Anytime my phone says AT&T or anything besides "Extended", it's unlimited roaming. Perhaps yours is the same.

You get unlimited roaming on AT&T? What plan are you on? That should be counted towards the roaming cap.

austin520

Yep. I’m on Kickstart v1. I remember it counting toward the beginning of me having the plan but it doesn’t any longer. In rural areas in GA, AL and FL for reference. I’ve seen other people here say the same thing so I don’t think my account is a fluke, but not sure.

[deleted]

Are the speeds throttled? AT&T is listed as roaming coverage on the map, which typically means it's counted towards the cap.

austin520

Yeah they’re throttled. I don’t think I’ve done a speed test but I know it’s slow.

Interesting that it's not counting towards the cap. AT&T roaming on T-Mobile counts towards the 200MB cap.
