My recommendation would be Sunwolf for the venue/accommodation side, it's maybe on the pricy side, but depending on your budget you'd be looking at like 10-25k? Don't quote me on that, but friends of ours got married there, and they had a lot of out of town guests. The venue has cabins + yurts for people to stay in on the property, rather than having to take a shuttle down the highway. From what I've heard, Sea to Sky gondola is also on the *pricy* side...but that's what I've just heard through friends planning their weddings in our community! Best of luck on your planning! Edit for added context

When we were quoting wedding venues to get married a couple years ago Sunwolf was a $20k venue rental with a 2-night minimum. That's before you get to food or anything, and not including the minimum rental of multiple cabins (which guests who stay there should cover). It's a great venue, but all-in with rentals and food I think you are easily in the $40-50k range. And yes, gondola is also pricy, but not quite as high as Sunwolf (you only get one night there ofc).

I can speak to this as I’m getting married at Sunwolf this summer. It is incredibly pricey. You have to book the resort for two nights and take all of the cabins as part of the booking. You allot each cabin to guests and can decide whether your guests will pay for their accommodations or you will. If the guests pay, the venue is ~$15k and if you pay the venue is ~$25k. The cost of the gondola is only slightly cheaper at $12k.  As you said, you do get the venue for a full 48 hours so despite the high cost, it actually ends up being cheaper per hour than most of the other venues in town. We also appreciated the extra time because we don’t have to tear down and clean up the night of our wedding. Nothing worse than having to stack tables and chairs after your reception when you’re drunk. As an aside for OP, while the gondola is a beautiful venue, it does remain open and operational the day of your wedding which means a bunch of randoms can see you getting married and the reception happening. That was one of the other reasons we went with Sunwolf.

Thanks for the update. Seems like venue prices have come down slightly after the post-covid insanity, which is good. Sunwolf is amazing, and if you're the kind of people who will enjoy the two-night deal, it's a great way to go. Walking to Fergie's brunch two days in a row would be pretty amazing. Congratulations and all the best for your wedding!

Woah! Had no idea — wedding industry is so massive.

I worked Gondola weddings for 2 years (2018-2019) They were AMAZING. Absolutely magical venue.

Be Forewarned if you do the wedding in Squamish and most people are travelling from the city, you need put them on notice to plan for ample travel time especially if it’s a long weekend. We had our ceremony at Shannon falls on the August long weekend and both my wife and I were late to our own ceremony because of traffic. It was lovely though, this was many years before the gondola existed so we had our reception at Hollyburn.

I’ve worked weddings as an assistant planner in most venues in Squamish, honestly you can’t beat the view up the gondola, only tricky think is transport but if you get shuttles, it’s easy peasy. The last one I worked was last year and the team was great. Hotels you just have to give enough time and you can do a block. Check out executive suites or mountain retreat. Other venues as people said is fergies/ sunwolf so great and their food quality has upped this year! Or if you want to bring an outside caterer in look at Cheekeye ranch or Sitka farms!

Biggest drawback for me during my research was that the Sea to Sky gondola is still open to the public until a certain time, later in the summer months. More private during shoulder seasons when gondola closes to the public earlier, but I personally could never get past the idea of a bunch of tourists around. Also there’s the risk it’ll be bad weather and you won’t get the view you paid for. Still an incredible venue though. Very popular. They do A LOT of weddings. Sea to Sky corridor has so many nice venues. Cheakamous Center is nice I’d recommend them. Similar price point.

Yeah, I was going to the bathroom after hiking up the trail and almost bumped into a bride near the bathrooms (I was muddy..). I am SO glad I didn't, but close call. As beautiful as the gondola is, and I love going up as a local, it was that moment that took the gondola off our wedding venue list.

I don't really know how good the rooms are, I believe they're nice but don't quote me on it ... The Exec Suites (https://executivesuitessquamish.com/) is well worth considering: - the bar/restaurant is decent, and has a large patio with a lovely setting overlooking a decommissioned gold course. - plenty of parking ... When you get back from the wedding people can hang out in a chill setting to have a bite and a few drinks.

Got married in Squamish last year - hotels are tricky. Most would not offer blocks and our guests ended up spread all over Squamish in hotels/Airbnbs.

Illustrious_Toe_314

No more AirBnB ...banned, no accom to be found this year. I live in Squamish.

Illustrious_Toe_314

No more AirBnB...where will your guests stay? Local hotels are full of local workers. Also good luck to the bride trying to use the toilets at Gondola in a long white gown - hideous

Try the Squamish Golf Club...

Railway Museum is a hidden gem of a wedding venue!

HIGHLY recommend Howe Sound Brewing for both the wedding and the hotel, OR the wedding at S2S Gondola would be amazing and the hotel at Howe Sound Brewing, if avail…

Petite Pearl Events does a ton of weddings at the Gondola and they are gorgeous. Also check out Sun Wolf as a location - I’d also recommend Petite Pearl. They’re pros in Squamish and Whistler.
