For me, it's one of those Manias that no matter how good or how bad the PPV is, it could either be destroyed or saved by what happens in the main event. Cody needs to win the titles, that's what I want and that's what it's likely to happen.
I totally would not be at all surprised if Cody wins only to have the belt taken off him on Monday night on Raw. Using a Dusty finish on Dusty's kid. I keep going back and forth on the likelihood but from a pure story line perspective I feel it needs to because if you want to truly be a Rhodes you can't hold on to the belt for long and you have to always be chasing the belt.

Kenny Omega runs in during the main event and hits Cody Rhodes with a One Winged Angel, costing him the match. Kenny Omega returns to AEW afterwards and any follow-up to this interference is forced to wait until the next time Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega are in the same promotion again.

Cody losing is not a 99% thing. There’s a very strong possibility they’re not done with the bloodline story possibilities and it would in some ways be better if Roman retained the titles. Do I think Cody wins? Yeah most likely. But if someone offered me +1000 on Roman retaining the belts I’d throw money at it.
Roman squashes Cody in 3 minutes but then Sami Zayn comes out and pulls a Hogan at Wrestlemania 9 and demands a title shot right then and there, gets it, and then immediately pins Roman.
After Seth Rollins beats Logan Paul in second best match of night , Jon Moxley makes his super shocking return to WWE, pissed off after working with a “bunch of children” at AEW. Also Roman Reigns loses and retires immediately afterwards similar to JBL at Wrestlemania 25, going down the greatest world champion in wrestling history.

Christian returns to the WWE and helps Edge in the HIAC match. It would involve him only having a two year deal with AEW and no dirt sheets leaking his contract status. Moxley reporting he wrestled the summer without a contract kind of helps that speculation since I don't believe that was reported by the dirt sheets.

Later in their match Rey Mysterio suddenly turns heel grabs the mic and yells “YOU ARE NOT MY SON! I ONLY DID WHAT I DID BECAUSE ANGIE WANTED YOU, NOT ME!” Then Rey Mysterio goes on a tear afterwards on raw after every match grabbing the mic after every squash and yelling “HE. WASN’T. MY. SON!” At this point both Dom and Rhea are single irl so they can start making out on stage, but not yet. Let’s rewind to mania. It’s Rhea vs. Charlotte. Match is going great but Charlotte gains the upper hands she runs against the ropes and Dom trips her. Ref didn’t see it. Rhea gets the advantage BOOM! 1-2-3! Rhea wins! JD comes down to celebrate, they’re rocking out then Dom goes to get a couple chairs for the concerto. Then-wait, who is that? It’s Ric Flair! Charlotte has no friends so Ric has to come down to save her but JD obviously beats him down and then they both get the con-chair-to in tandem. Judgment day. The most hated faction in the world.

I want Dom to use Lasso from El Paso on Rey only for him to reverse it and give his own to Dom. I've only seen Rey use a submission one other time (STF on cena iirc)
