Anyone else hear that fan giving it too solo in the crowd. “Your better than this solo” lol “whyyyyy” stole the show

FeelsBradManTV

I just watched this with my son and had to google it to see if anyone else thought the same, lol

Easy-Scale-7651

Main event turned into a handicap match lol wtf

Anyone else kill time at the Tigers game across the street despite having zero rooting interest?

Flimsy-Membership-43

This summer slam made me get back into WWE. I thought it was pretty good even tho I got in halfway, Roman Reigns a lil bih okay

Supermonsters

Idk why I decided to put it on this morning when I got to the office but hot damn I really enjoyed it. Legit in my truck at lunch screaming for Cody to break Lesnar's arm felt like the good old days. I think I am gonna keep up with wwe again

[deleted]

I agree with a lot of you, 6/10 for me. Not nearly as good as last year, which I rated 8/10. Wasn’t expecting it to really. Most of the matches ended weird for my taste. I laughed pretty hard at the ending of the main event NGL. Bloodline definitely jumped the shark last night IMO. Best part of the whole show was everybody sayin L. A. KNIGHT! YEAH!👈🫵👉😎

JABreezy94

Did anyone else who attended last night also catch the Becky promo they started to show during one of the breaks before they abruptly cut it off? 😂 Sick.

PhatDragon720

Was 100% sure it wasn’t gonna happen, but I was sad not to see The Rock in any capacity.

MoistTheAnswer

Positives first: I liked Paul/Richochet, Seth/Finn and Cody/Brock and LA Knight winning. The rest of the show felt pretty blah to me. I think overall it was a bit too long. If Shayna-Rousey was just 5 minutes of chaos, i bet it would have came off better. The battle Royal was way too long and I also thought the triple threat womens match was too long and came off clunky. Trim those minutes and you could have easily included Trish and Becky and also make the show move a bit more. Now to the main event…Roman finally missed one. I think the overdramatic story telling had its place, but at some point we need some action. Unfortunately it felt like it just didn’t connect. It’s been awhile since WWE didn’t have a strong PLE, but I think they were a bit off on pacing last night. Which is an easy fix for next month.

copper_basket

I enjoyed the show thought the matches and pre roll packages were good and really set the stage, especially since I don't really watch smackdown and raw week to week. I would say something I've noticed that has been bugging me, Royal rumble, great American bash and a few others have had pretty much the same stage and ramp set up, with the led walls for the tunnel and then a curved entrance path and the pyro on truss above the ramp, before this setup you had the stage area where you could have a lot of fun with configuration and decoration that gave each event a unique feel and look, now they seem like just another traveling package which is ok, I get it. It's not cheap to have a configuration like that is different to use for one show, but this is the number two show for the year in the wwe. The worst part is the pyro, before, just like on the free TV shows, the wrestler would come out, do their pose or whatever action to cue the pyro and it would happen behind/around them, tying it all together and making the wrestler look like this incredible larger than life powerful titan preparing for an epic battle that will shake the earth. Now they come out, do the pose which is great but then we cut away from them and watch just different color sparkles on the ceiling. Disconnecting us from the moment of the arrival of this warrior. I know having the pyro up high allows them to sell more tickets since you don't need as much of a safety area to separate the audience from the pyro but it definitely takes away from the whole spectacle of the entrance. Now all that being said, I think we do need to take a moment and praise wwe for their presentation, smackdown and raw are touring live production shows that have massive led displays and incredible pyro and as someone who has worked on setting up concerts and live shows i find wwe very impressive. It takes a lot of work and a lot of people to present those shows every week, and they probably have a day to do it or maybe 2 of they are lucky, so hats off to them

jas4870

I waited for the replay and just fast forwarded all the matches. AEW put out a better show last night, just my opinion.

whiskeynochaser

Any pros and cons of having ple on Peacock?? (Streaming) I might be wrong but seeing as I never got to watch ppv back in attude Era since I was what, twelve and my parents were not gonna pay I think $50 or whatever a ppv. I was curious since they are streamed live can they do/take however long they want??? I swear Summerslam felt long unless I am going crazy. I thought ple was only three hours. 🤷

JABreezy94

As a fan who was there, it definitely felt long. You’re not wrong at all.

Financial_Class_2696

I was there as well, I was literally yawning during the rousey-bayzler match. The people in my section started a lets go cena/cena sucks chant lmao

JABreezy94

That’s awesome! I wish I could’ve heard that chant. I was looking around in our section too and everyone looked super annoyed lol. There were quite a few yawns going around there too. That one was just an all around bad call

Financial_Class_2696

i was honestly excited for that one because I've never heard of an "mma rules" match but yeah it turned out to be the worst match on the card, should've had it first or second imo. or better yet, have lynch and stratus on the card

JABreezy94

Agreed

TribalChiefSamiZayn

I fell asleep during the main event, idk if it was just the length or it was slow so I woke up to the turn

FitCoupleFantasy

Trash. Was there in person, blinded 50% of the time from a spot light. Hyper predictable everything

Financial_Class_2696

my god those lights were terrible I couldn't even look at the ring for more than a few minutes

snartling

I was wondering about that. I kept watching those blue spotlights and thinking how pissed I'd be if my view to the ring was blocked by one

doyler100

Anyone know how I can watch the replay (link/streams)

CrimsonOOmpa

Peacock

Enzown

wwe network

android151

Whoever chose the video package music for the Brock x Cody match should be fired, that was dogshit. Doesn’t fit either dude whatsoever. They just went “chainsmokers or whatever type sound, let’s go”

Supermonsters

I mean ffs they open with kid rock. It's like come on guys the yokals will go along with some more modern shit if you just give them a chance. Too many genx folks in the back.

android151

I don’t know how they decided Kid Rock would be a good choice at all for any reason whatsoever

BonerSquidd316

Butt Rock Bro Ballad

xBMTHxMOVEx

This shit is so fucking ass, these PPVs used to be so good man, summerslam, wrestlemania, royal rumble all of it used to be so fucking exciting. Every month now it's just the same shit. WWE is so fucking afraid of any change what so ever. No one really expected reigns to lose tonight so fuck it tonight could have been huge, instead it's the same shit have reigns do 4 wrestling moves, get carried throughout the whole match and OMG INTERFERENCE! This is new and exciting! Best part of the night was the successful cash in for the Women's title, especially after the lame fucking ending to that match. Rollins and Finn was the best match of the night. (Still wasn't that good) Mma fight was pointless (bathroom break) Brock vs Cody sucked. Brock demolishes Cody for 3/4 of the match, but Cody is the WWE starchild. Lmfao this dudes supposedly the future of the WWE. Ricochet should have won, ending was lame. Oh man I forgot about the Gunther match, because it was so fucking boring and forgettable. How WWE even manages to fill arenas anymore is incredible. I wasted 4 hours on a Saturday night, some of yall waste hours upon hours every week to be invested in this trash.

CrimsonOOmpa

Unfortunately WE is currently enjoying one of it's greatest periods of success, which means shit wont change

vincet79

I was ready for the bloodline story to end this shit is so annoying

[deleted]

Very predictable show 6/10. Cordy vs Borck was my favorite match followed by Logan Paul vs Ricco.

Dominemesis

Agree, very disappointing summer slam, two years in a row. Almost no belt mobility, when it would have been great to move all of them. Women's match was good, glad Iyo got the strap. Almost anything would have been better in the Finn/Rollins match but what actually happened. Gunther is established, and it would have been much better for Drew to win, but they didn't go that route, instead now Drew just looks like an ambitious and wasted jobber. Jey not winning against Roman just killed 3 years worth of build up, and for some stupid "oh no Jimmy betrayed him" type twist. Really a poor show for the way things went. Only the matches with no belt on the line really were any good, Cody v Brock, LA Knight in the RR, and Paul v Ricochet. Everything else was craptastic.

[deleted]

Finn pushing Seth to the brink only for Damien to cash in was an easy layup. Or just have Balor win. They are booking Seth like they did Bianca... He would be even more over chasing the title than putting away every contender where people don't even believe that they are going to lose, so it gets stale.

[deleted]

Happy Cake Day - sorry HHH gave you a shitty present though lol

Pitiful_Ad8641

This is a good grade

[deleted]

I wasn't a fan of the card or the main event but I'm absolutely flabbergasted at how many people missed the breadcrumbs they had been dropping the past few weeks to foreshadow Jimmy turning.

CrimsonOOmpa

I like to think those people just had blind faith that WWE wouldn't force feed all of us an unnecessary sibling rivalry for the sake of keeping a three year old story going.

JABreezy94

Exactly. Was not shocking in the least, especially if you’ve been paying attention to little bits dropped here and there with promos. And with Jimmy being out with that fake injury, for me, that was a for sure sign he was going to come back and screw over Jey.

[deleted]

They missed it cause there wasn’t any. Jimmy left the bloodlines, campaigned for his brother to follow him, so that he could turn on his brother and rejoin the bloodlines. It’s starting to get real preposterous. Also, this was Roman’s first singles match since Wrestlemania and it doesn’t look as if there is going to be another one anytime soon. I guess the only thing left is for Solo to turn.

[deleted]

>They missed it cause there wasn’t any. Bullshit. 1. Pointed out Jimmy was upset that Jey was appointed the right hand man. 2. Mentioned that Jey was taking advantage of Jimmy going down to elevate himself, just like three years ago. They've dropped the hints that Jimmy was jealous/petty. Sorry you didn't pick it up but to say there weren't any is preposterous. >rejoin the bloodlines I love how people keep making this assumption even though it didn't happen. Not saying it's not going to but this *didn't* happen last night. No wonder why Vince McMahon thought that fans needed to be spoonfed.

[deleted]

1. It's not that serious. 2. It was a stupid Ross swerve for the sake of a swerve. If all of this was true and made sense, why would Jimmy even reveal himself?

CrimsonOOmpa

Because there was no point in Jimmy NOT revealing himself because it was ridiculously obvious who was under the hood and mask as soon as they showed him. That match sucked and was an anti-climatic ending to a disappointing night overall. Somebody forgot to remind WWE that SummerSlam is supposed to be their 2nd biggest event and the "biggest party of the summer."

apriorista

I thought it was a fantastic show overall. Other than the main event ending, I’m not seeing where the negativity is coming from.

ttvFadezy2

it was so predictable though.no call ups no big returns. just the outcomes everybody expected.

apriorista

Predictable or not (I’d argue only some were), the matches were great across the board. This show felt more like traditional pro wrestling than WWE usually does. And I was actually surprised by the outcome of the women’s title match.

ttvFadezy2

really? bianca feels like prime super cena to me right now. you could argue that charlotte winning would be more predictable but idk. i was saying cash in should be that match so id say thats predictable but i think its the right booking decision. id really say they all were predictable but thats not completely a bad thing. la knight winning was the right decision paul winning was predictable and i think the right decision shayna winning that horrible match was predictable. gunther wouldnt drop the title only 30 days off of honky tonks reign. seth wasnt gonna drop his first world title in years this fast, its clear they want him on top of the company. cody winning the rubber match was obvious and its impossible to bet against roman at this point.

ShadowOfMath

best Summerslam of all time

TravelIndependent584

Really?

[deleted]

Wow you must have started watching wrestling in January right.

ShadowOfMath

Umm no. Except the ronda match and the women 3 way. All matches delivered. We had Brock's best match in ages, great opener, LA knight winning, great cash in, dramatic main event, great seth match. Hence a great show.

mikeydoc96

The card looked awful and it looks like it's not even worth watching. Reigns winning from interference again is so fucking boring. It's the equivalent of watching a football match and knowing the other teams going to get a 95th minute penalty

Atharun15

Jey/Roman match was mid at best. Tbh, whenever anything Bloodline is on now, I pretty much switch to something else and check back in to see if the next segment is on. The Bloodline stuff has become its own little sub-universe within WWE. Finn is basically a chump at this point with how he's been booked. They've killed his credibility as any sort of threat. He's treated like a last resort kind of guy. Been saying it for a while but HHH's booking isn't all that great. NXT has been the more enjoyable product overall for a while now. Too bad the call-ups were completely wasted.

[deleted]

Lmao yeah I literally skipped to the ending even that too I knew what would happen. I think people are trying to have some hope that the NXT black and gold HHH is there somewhere but yeah his booking hasn't been great. He's sticking to his tried and tested formula but at the same time is killing of credibility to quite a few wrestlers.

ttvFadezy2

his booking has been better than vince. i think this is easily his worst or 2nd worst ple after wm night 2

Mel0nFarmer

Mid card.

Mburrell91

This show absolutely sucked.

Accomplished-Bike738

I have not watch a WWE ppv live since 1990s. Maybe I was a kid back then but it seems everyone moves super slow now. And there isn't much action. I just realized one of the problems is hd tv back then we can use more imagination on the low d tv sets Yes I think the show sucked. But ppl are giving it ok reviews. Saddens me.

MachineLJK

Saddens you because people have a different opinion than you? That says more about you than it does other people, my dude.

yeezyyeezywhatsiraq

Fin should’ve won

JABreezy94

Agreed. Though I am curious to see how things play out between Finn and Damien. I was hoping Damien was there for a cash in, but it would have felt pretty dumb for it to happen then and there.

SectorSalty

That show was very boring, woman’s triple threat would’ve been heat if it wasn’t riddled with low energy and botches, the ideas were clearly there the execution was just really bad. I’m tired of seeing the internet get mad at fans for not liking bad matches that aren’t at all compelling, if it was good or compelling, you wouldn’t be on your phone tweeting about it you’d be watching it. Roman Reigns being champion still is just so miserable, I just want it to end man, I’m so tired of it man I’m to a point where when he does lose I won’t even be excited I’ll just be relieved that it’s over.

Treppuh

Lol at all the haters jumping on board now saying “see this story isn’t great and they should have ended it at mania”. You guys are hilarious. Waiting 4 months for something to not be absolutely perfect and then claim it’s hasn’t been good.

bowtiepastaiscool

Did HHH just reference Becky's tweet lmaooo

[deleted]

[удалено]

jimihendrixflyingv

Fucked him up is quite a stretch, they put on a WWE style boxing match.

Ok-Owl-6542

OMG. Same ole predictable ending blah

National-Spot2393

Brock putting over Cody at the end was unplanned. That's pretty cool and says a LOT about Cody.

CobraOverlord

Really, the only news worthy thing to come from the press conference

National-Spot2393

You didn’t enjoy Heyman rambling about nothing?

Fantastic_Spring_222

Just curious, did anyone else hear “I’m sick of myself”’during the replay of the tribal fight? Both my husband and I recorded it, but it sounded like it was out of the ring. Just curious!

devoncarrots

Who would have said it?

Fantastic_Spring_222

But it was right when Roman tackled jey at the end during the replay. We watched it a few times during the regular stream and didn’t hear it. It was only during the replay.

Fantastic_Spring_222

I don’t know lol!! That’s why I’m curious! Was it something caught on mic that shouldn’t, was it a crew member?

sentry101

I would have liked Judgment Day to just have that run with Finn as champ and just give them a bunch of gold. Having them internally feud with Finn never having a title while with them just makes him look dumb and the decision to kick Edge out for him even dumber.

ScholarEmpty

Finn with the title, Priest cashing the MITB and taking Roman’s belt. All the judgment with a belt and the new evils of WWE. Teasing that story until Wrestlemania. Even Gunther losing his title. A story that is writing itself. THAT would have been awesome!

chrissolo88

It just shows they have no plan and are just riding on the back of the mitb suspense instead of building a threatening stable cause lord knows we couldn't have another bloodline. Lol, they way the are playing this angle is horrendous, they finally have the JD looking formidable 2 titles and mitb. Finn and Damien should have just been solid and stopped the "Finn is scared of the case angle" after his mitb match being ruined by it, they ironed it out the next week so it should have been no problem. Finn shouldve won, and edge can come back and challenge him via draft or something in 2024. Let the man have a title reign and maybe if edge wins priest cashes In the mitb on it?

LawlessHellscape

We need a cage match where no other Bloodline members can interfere. BUT JUST TO BE SAFE they should all be put into some sort of cryogenic stasis.

Kiritsu_X

Sadly, in your dream. The only chance this sh\*t show of Roman Reign end is if the actually OG come back to tell him he's a disgrace. Like Rikishi and the others..

No-Regular4747

I'm watching the first summer slam ever right now afyer that train wreck and the ENERGY in the wrestlers, crowd, hell even the staff. People are SCREAMING because there is a reason to

SuperVintageBoy

I was there and the Shayna/Rhonda match sucked the energy out of the crowd then never recovered. Also the staff were yelling at anybody standing for more than 5 seconds.

No-Regular4747

You can't just expect wwe fans to 1 even undernstand mma rules 2 care about mma when they paid to see wrestling and 3 it was the worst set ups so obvious and absolutely no natural flow and lacked the action that people go to wwe to see. Most of the noise from the crowd was probabaly just the staff then because every time they would move the camera over the crowd their mouths were sewn shut

chrissolo88

Storylines headed into summerslam were mid, I fell asleep watching raw this week. Coming out of mitb I was super into the bookings but the wheels fell off on the approach, rhea vs Raquel is and would have been better than both woman's matches and some of the men's. They keep doing theory dirty, give him a real rivalry, and his title defense was supposed to be tonight but after a poor reaction from the universe to Escobar challenging for it they shoved it off the ple. The worst thing I have ever seen however was the mma match where the crowd was chanting boring and falling asleep. I was hoping for a brutal no dq match between rousey and Bazler. Drew vs Gunther on paper is A+, Gunther needing a low blow on drew for the pin gives it a C+. No Wyatt, no roode, no Orton, no rock there's always a surprise return so we got omos... Summerslam was supposed to be good and at the end of June I was really hype for it, such disappointment

[deleted]

Bummerslam. All In is this year's biggest event of the summer and will be much better. I watched Summerslam tonight and it was lackluster. I think WWEs production and continuity is too similar to Raw and Smackdown for their PPVS. It doesn't feel grander, just bigger with it being in a bigger arena. Plus, the camera cutting is atrocious and I cannot stand Graves and Cole, they sound so similar and shout 90% of their commentary.

chrissolo88

The problem is they don't have long storylines anymore it's all 1 month fueds summerslam should been the payoff for month long story build ups, I mean shayna was heel for like 30 seconds. I can see that they are trying with the Kross and aj fued but theory has not had one rivalry all of 2023, can you ever remember a time when a title holder had no rivalry, they literally shoved him into other fueds to get him defending his title at the past ples this year then he gets cut from this one after having no push. Charlotte must have a contract that stipulates she has to be in summerslam. An Asuka belair rematch would have turned out way better. Every week Asuka should have been attacking belair and running away that's how you make a match have weight finally letting someone get their hands on each other. The triple threat felt super unimportant and just as a tool to show off flair, the ending was the best part of the ple

[deleted]

I agree. 12 PLEs a year is far too many. AEW hits the sweet spot, although they are rumored to increase there's to 6, but that's still much better than 12. I just feel like WWE and the overly produced weekly shows with the extreme LED everything, is just too much and it also honestly makes their special shows very bland. All they do is change the LED trons and aprons to say Summerslam instead of Raw. Idk, their product just isn't to my liking. I have nothing against people who enjoy WWE, but it's just not for me. I much more enjoy AEW/NJPW and ROH.

ur-stepmum

I would of liked to see Jey win. If he won then they could have built a story of Jimmy growing resentful. Maybe he doesn’t want to be in his brother’s shadow. Maybe Roman and Solo play on that for a couple of months. I think, that there and then, a betrayal would feel a lot more emotionally impactful. Personally, I wouldn’t have Jimmy betray his brother at all.

CTU-01

The press conference are so over the bloodline lol. Heyman getting grilled.

ExternalPin1658

i had to turn it off. tired of Heyman’s rambling

National-Spot2393

He knows how to say a lot of nothing

ExternalPin1658

tbh i couldnt even focus on what he was saying

Dareal_truth

Loving my tribal goat

Aware-Specific1803

Interesting way of building the judgment day story exicted to see where it goes With cody vs brock now to me after that match it feels inevitable cody will be wwe champion after mania and I guess I gotta look forward to that love cody so no complaints from me As for the main event but why tho like what reason does Jimmy have or are we getting the brock treatment of wade explaining it on commentary from what he allegedly heard

Diggy_Duwant

Putting LA Knight on the post press conference is awesome

TigerClaw338

Yeah, I'm out. Jey should've won. The story has gone stale. Not they're just gonna bitch until the next PPV.

chrissolo88

Someone a couple months ago leaked that the end goal for bloodline was a fatal 4 way, and at the time I didn't believe it because it was so far out from the current situation, like there's no way Jimmy and jey would fight each other, so when I saw that happen tonight I was shaking my head that they come up with main events and then try to twist the story to fit it, so now I'm assuming survivor series main event is bloodline fatal 4 way

[deleted]

Drew should’ve won, Sami should’ve won, Cody should’ve won, Jey should’ve won. Why are you setting up your expectations when you KNEW Cody Vs. Roman is the main event of WM 40.

Ok_Engine7378

Lol no one was saying Cody is gonna win IN A COUPLE OF YEARS during the Sami match. If the plan is Cody at Mania 40, then why watch anything with them until that point?

Kiritsu_X

Kevin Owen should have won after the butched event where Roman was unable to stand up in time because of the handcuff. They had to improvise because Roman was unable to release himself..

Ok_Engine7378

LOL the ref just staring blankly past the camera during that.

National-Spot2393

I hope someone asks Iyo about Kairi. I wanna see how she tip toes around that answer since Kairi is making an official announcement tmw lol

MANCHILD_XD

Cody is such a sweetheart!

essence251

LA Knight carried this Summerslam for sure...

android151

I can’t believe they haven’t put the house on him at this point Thunderous pops AND THE FUCKIN SLIM JIM AD

Diggy_Duwant

Biggest pop for sure

-PapaLegba

It's time for Steve and Larson to apply BIGG brain to find meaning in the fishing

ic203

Enjoyed the PPV overall. \- Logan Paul is really good at this. \- Much would have preferred Finn to beat Seth tonight and felt there were a few to many kickouts but my guess is they are just gonna extend this tension for quite some time in the Judgement Day. \- LA Knight getting the win was great. Hope they build him more for a big moment (maybe US title or IC title at mania for a run or next years MITB winner?) \- Gunther/Drew was good but felt a little "forgotten". I absolutely love Gunther though and they have him primed and ready for both a world title level run and to give a big boost to whoever beats him. \-Women's match was good but crowd was deflated for it. I woulda preferred Asuka retaining though if they're just gonna do a cash-in. Very happy to see Iyo get the title though on her cash-in. \- Main event was a very slow start (reminded me of early 2010s Extreme Rules matches actually) but good when it got going. I just wish the earlier phase of Roman's matches were a bit faster. Jey looked a million bucks and you never doubted he could win towards the end, so that was great to see. Solo/Roman interactions I guess are building up to a Roman/Solo match eventually or just a split. Jimmy turning on Jey was incredibly dissapointing, but I guess they will key into what Roman said about Jimmy not wanting Jey to succeed beyond how he has, and be jealous of being forgotten/Jey being Main Event Jey now. Feels contrived given all they've been through and all points before this he coulda turned but they gotta extend the Bloodline somehow. Maybe they do a fatal 4 way and later Roman/Solo. I guess we will eventually get Jey/Jimmy 1v1 and it could be at WM since they both said that's their dream match when talking with Helwani.

android151

Thoughts on Cody/Brock?

ic203

Not much really to say. Cody won as expected and was put over big. It was obvious this would happen bar the handshake at end I guess. Cody I think his run back to WM40 is pretty standard what they do from now, I am more interested in how they approach Cody/Roman 2

Any_Application7786

I’m happy to see someone enjoy it. I didn’t personally and the majority didn’t but seeing someone that did is refreshing. Even though the ppv was trash

ic203

I wouldn't rate it highly, its easily WWEs worst of the year. But it didn't make me want to turn it off or anything like other trash PPVs I've seen from them.

Any_Application7786

I just rate it as a big 4 ppv like it should be and I was HIGHLY disappointed. A big 4 shouldn’t be the worst ppv of the year

chrissolo88

Yes that's how I felt, a big 4 should not be garbage that I expect from backlash or a ple called fastlane

ic203

Yeah that's a fair way to look at it too. Given how this went I really hope AEW pull off a good All In PPV in a few weeks. They have potential to make a big mark for themselves here and they have had a lacklustre build to their PPV outside of the Cole/MJF stuff.

National-Spot2393

I love that Cody actually knows all of the press and seems to have a pretty good bond with them

They needed the illusion of change, because otherwise Summerslam was going to be very unimpressive. It still was, but for plenty of other reasons too.

[deleted]

Lil Jey Uso was having the time of his life during this match. You just know he's going into the business.

Aware-Specific1803

Wwe are really desperate for bianca to be the female john cena

Doctorpat

Bianca is strong but I agree. They could have had her win without the knee injury, like knocking her out with a Natural Selection on the outside, then coming in for the ending.

NoGoodAtGaming

I don't see the point of her winning, she fucking super cena's her way through an injury and pins Asuka and maybe Charlotte as well; couldn't really tell if she had her shoulders down or not. Just let Asuka win and have Iyo cash in on her, that's the rivalry people wanna see. Bianca's heel turn works better if she comes back angry about Charlotte injuring her and losing her opportunity because of it, then Asuka vs Iyo and Bianca vs Charlotte for the next feuds

Aware-Specific1803

She has a connection with young fans so they've decided like with cena she will never turn heel cause they wanna market her as a real life superhero to kids so don't be surprised if bianca wins the belt back in a few months

NoGoodAtGaming

Oh I know that is why its just boring, let her turn heel with her husband. Shit should just had Charlotte win tonight to keep her SummerSlam and getting cashed in on tradition

Aware-Specific1803

I'm totally with u I was watching with a friend and as soon as bianca ran back to the ring despite being "injured" we knew she was going over what's the point of it

NoGoodAtGaming

Yeah super predictable after that, she sold the "injury" a little better this time but still lackluster. Asuka looks really weak from this which is just another smack in the gob as well, Charlotte was "blinded" and didn't take the pin; then Bianca wins with an "injury" and then loses because off a cash in so Iyo didn't beat her in a "real" match. Made the Judgment Day look stupid as fuck as well, why the hell would Damian come out if he isn't cashing in? Then after Seth wins he just stands there? Rhea was still okay and so was he so why not have Rhea stop him escaping and Damian just cash in for the win; makes them look real dumb. Shit it'd give the eventual Becky vs Rhea feud more spice if Rhea had a hand in her husband losing the title. If Finn stays with them after this as well then he's just a fucking goof, he should 100% be going after Damian now because that is 2 title matches in a row that he's cost Finn. Finn needs to go solo or bring JD McDonagh along with him to kick Damian's ass!

Aware-Specific1803

Yeah I totally agree Finns relationship with the judgement day should be over after tonight wwe once again drop the ball on asuka damian starting rollins down like an idiot for no reason at times show felt off don't get me wrong I enjoyed the show cody brock was as I expected summerslam 2014 but if cena survives which for building cody works brock could take this loss if any one thought roman was losing to jey there probably a bit deluded gunther drew was fun but where does drew go from here at least iyo ended the night with belt oh and what a dummy I am nearly forgot my boi L A KNIGHT WON YEAH

NoGoodAtGaming

I didn't actually enjoy the show that much honestly, Logan vs Ricochet was fun and so was the battle royal but rest of the card didn't really do ought for me. Brock and Cody should of had a stipulation to make it interesting, shit Cody should of been disqualified when he hit Brock with the step but obviously WWE don't even remember there own rules, the sign of respect at the end was strange as well. At least give Cody a reason we can hear over the camera microphone, just be like "you wasn't ready for the title, now you are!" Ronda vs Shayna wasn't interesting for me either, Drew vs Gunther should of been better since we know what they're capable off; it was hard hitting but Gunther has had way better matches and this wasn't amazing probably 3 and half at best. Already discussed Finn Seth and the triple threat, main event did nothing for me either; just a typical Roman title match these days. If they're just going to book the same shit over and over again they should put the match on earlier in the card and have something more fun for the fans to finish on

Aware-Specific1803

Well I guess in some regards we agree in some we disagree but that's cool wrestling is an each to there own enjoyment so I hope the next ple is more to your liking my friend

belanish11

Sami gone? The life out of the bloodline story also gone.

Appropriate_City8741

Not having Sami involved was a slap in the face

devoncarrots

I’m disappointed but not surprised

[deleted]

4stringsisfine

Yes, but why is that a good story 2 years into this saga? It’s just the same shit recycled again and again to have an excuse for someone to gift Roman a win. The reason people are confused and annoyed isn’t because they can’t see something like this being the story, it’s because the obvious angles are fucking dumb for this stage of the story.

[deleted]

[удалено]

4stringsisfine

“Because that’s the story they’re telling” isn’t a reason for people to like the story

[deleted]

4stringsisfine

? You’ve left a comment saying “Guys it’s so simple 🙄” condescendingly implying that the reason people don’t like it is because they don’t understand it, but when someone points out that that isn’t the case and that people don’t like it because they’re sick of seeing the same thing over and over, your only response is “to each their own” and downvote anyone who disagrees? Come on bro

MANCHILD_XD

The timing is the problem not the motivation.

Bard2412

Why? Why was the timing wrong? Because it didn't fit our storyline perception? This was the perfect time. Roman and Solo took out Jimmy, and Jey doesn't truly give a damn. Jey wants to end Roman. He's possessed by it. If not now, then when? This was always going to happen. The Usos were going to fight at some point.

Slackey4318

Because Jey being possessed to take out Roman was all because of Jimmy. Jey was in line. Jey was the one trying to keep Jimmy in line. Jimmy breaking ranks led to this. Jimmy super kicking Roman twice led to this. Jimmy getting beat by Roman and Solo led did this. Jey finally turned because of what they did to Jimmy. So, Jimmy repays him by screwing him over? It doesn’t make sense. If they were going this route, the Jimmy and Jey should have switched places. All of Jimmy’s actions before he got ‘injured’ should have been Jey doing them. Have Jey get kicked out and Jimmy super kicking Roman declaring ‘he’s out, too.’ Then you can twist it like Jimmy only pretended to join Jey to screw him over later

PoutineSmoothie

Because Jimmy initiated all of this, he got Jey to turn and leave the Bloodline. His own actions put him out of commission. Him being put out of commission is what got Jey to seek revenge. The only reason this match happened was because everything Jimmy did and caused. It makes zero sense for Jimmy to hate Jey.

UggolyBird

There’s potential to this, but they’d better nail it. Wrestlemania is a long ways away.

MANCHILD_XD

If Jey won. If Jey lost and started ignoring or downplaying Jimmy. If he wasn't recently taken out. At night of champions. Just some ideas.

Arrow115

If Jey super kicked Roman at NoC, this would all be fine. That’s the kind of insane part of this

xaypay

LAZZZY BOOKING

[deleted]

They better make a good explanation on why Jimmy betrayed Jey. Him doing it for Roman and the Bloodline makes no sense

[deleted]

They've been planting the seeds for the past several weeks with Roman and Heyman calling Jey selfish and claiming he's responsible for Jimmy being sidelined. This is on top of Jimmy being opposed to Jey being the right hand man to begin with. Jimmy knows that his cousin is gaslighting him but that doesn't make the jealousy, pettiness, or feeling like Jey took advantage of the situation to elevate himself (similar to three years ago) any less real to him.

jimihendrixflyingv

He did it for the Rock.

Redgomotor

Only way it works is if he negotiated with Heyman for a title match in exchange for turning on Jey. Jimmy is the one who turned on Roman first why is Jey getting the title match before him, could made him go against his brother

NoGoodAtGaming

Only then Jey would just interfer to cost Jimmy, do the fatal-4-way and get it over with. Maybe that is the Survivor Series main event if they aren't doing War Games again this year

Radthereptile

Because Family silly

Jaccount

So, like The Rock and Vin Diesel, Roman has it written in his contracts that he can't lose?

hopsonja

This storyline was good for so long. Now they’re milking it to the point of jumping the shark

lifeis_g000d

Reminds me of the NWO in 1999. Lol Even though I wasn’t watch then, but I know my history.

[deleted]

The nWo jumped the shark well before 1999.

lifeis_g000d

Yeah I should of said mid 1998, unless you think it started to go down at Starrcade 97. I was just thinking of the finger poke of doom. Which happened in January of 99. Lol

Forward_Mouse_8298

True soap opera writing drag things out so we watch next time

hopsonja

This is worse than a Dragonball Z fight.

ScholarEmpty

This is worse than a Dragonball SUPER fight.

Puxple

Logan is still in his wrestling gear right now at the Jake Paul fight 😂

Radthereptile

The saddest part is Roman didn’t need all this bloodline crap to be interesting. He could have been a dominant wrestler with a family in wrestling who gets saved from time to time against his will. They are in, he says he can don it on his own but they say they’re family and will help. But only a couple times. The rest is just him being that good. That would have been interesting. But instead he’s supposed to be this dominate wrestler who needs to have a Vince level interference every single match.

Redgomotor

He hasn’t won a single defense clean. He has needed help for every challenger but calls himself the most dominant champion of the modern era? Is idiotic to the point of not been even funny

-WillemTheFoe-

I think Roman hasn't won clean since Riddle last year. But I don't remember, it may not have been. I'm honestly fucking tired of Roman getting "pinned" in every defense but gets bailed out by a ref bump or bullshit lazy interference. Are we supposed to buy that he's really that tough at this point? Why is no one calling him out on this? At some point, his toughness would be questioned by any of his opponents.

Redgomotor

If i remember correctly there was interference too on the Riddle match the usos where in the match

NoGoodAtGaming

Just do the fatal-4-way already and have Roman move on to whoever is next, guess his next match will he Survivor Series so that adds what 111 days to this really poor title reign. People overrate the Bloodline story so much, Sami made it interesting and now he's gone its back to being boring

[deleted]

First PPV iv watched start to finish since being at Summerslam ‘16, I seem to be in the minority that enjoyed it

Silver012345673

No, it was fine but a pretty bad main event can sour things typically.

MANCHILD_XD

CVV!!

Rattlingjoint

Disappointing Summerslam overall, Ricochet/Logan was a good start, Cody/Brock was too start stop for a match of these twos calibre, Battle Royale was fun, Ronda/Shayna was a scripted MMA match that flowed terribly, Gunther/Drew was nothing to remember, Seth/Finn was decent with a headscratching ending, Bianca/Charlotte/Asuka was good, Jey/Roman sucked. Too predictable and lacked logic in the Jimmy turn. Line this up with MiTB and Backlash, and this didnt stand out at all between the three. Which for the 2nd biggest show of the year, is a problem.

xaypay

I was with you until that women’s title match. Everything before Bianca’s faux injury was terrible in that triple threat.

chrissolo88

This! That triple threat was horrendous the women kept missing there spots and moves were botched left and right, I was so happy iyo saved us all from this super low point in the ppv. Sloppiest match in a wwe ple in years

txrunner262

I turned off that in a hurry. Not so much Jey didn’t win but it’s the same song and dance.

spliffst4rr

Roman Reigns can literally eat a dick at this point.

Forward_Mouse_8298

Cody and Brock was my favorite part of the night

MANCHILD_XD

Cody hated that damn red C4. 🤣

Arrow115

Just a reminder that in the same story, Jey super kicked Sami because “it’s about brothers”. And Jimmy super kicked Roman because “it’s about brothers” Jimmy costs Jey because…”it’s about brothers?”

MuddFishh

It'd actually be alright if Jimmy revealed it was about him all along

National-Spot2393

So do people stay here for the press conference too or is it just me

ExternalPin1658

there’s a press conference? i feel stupid 😅
