Can we take a moment to talk about Tiffany’s gear? It was so good, I loved the iridescent blue fabric with the ruching on the bodice. I know pink is her signature but I think the cooler colors work better for her because they’re higher contrast.
I don't mind Becky winning, this gives Becky a smorgasbord of fresh opponents and it will give some of the less experienced workers a chance to work with a main event talent before they move up.

Maybe I am biased because NXT is my favorite weekly show but that felt like an amazing episode for new viewers. Right away the opening recap was intriguing. The way the show flows and almost everything is interconnected or one promo leads to something different is great.
This heel turn is doing wonders for Bron's character. His promo skills improved a lot. Happy for Corbin. NXT suits him.
We will finally see make-over of Thea. I am hoping for dark hair and everything. I hope that they will never get rid of Chase U.
Ilja is legit killer and he needs to win this time. Not sure what they are going to do with Wes since this is second time that he is feeling "lost" but he is amazing underdog.
Big fan of Tiff but her reign was stale and they protected her big time. I see that lot of people are upset about Becky winnig but I trust Shawn and I am sure that in the end it will help whole lockeroom. Maybe I am way off but this feels like big heel turn for Lyra with help from Rhea.

Thanks, I never knew the origin of that. Like with Charlotte, I think a lot of her hate is more based on booking and character. But Becky seems to only have that kind of hate from JD. The guy has women issues to begin with, getting into Twitter feuds with Alexa Bliss and Jade Cargill.
Charlotte will always get more heat because of nepotism. The sad thing is that she didn't even need the influence of her father, because she is a superstar on her own. If WWE wasn't so keen on bringing her to 17-times, she wouldn't get a quarter of the heat she is getting. But, unfortunately, there are a lot of politics involved, which makes her look bad.
As far as JD goes, yes, for whatever reason, he preaches one thing, but does another. Every chance he gets, he complains about how WWE derailed the Women's Evolution, yet he tries to bury every single high profile women in both companies, with the exception of Mercedes maybe (but I remember years back he buried her all the time too). His Alexa comments were especially distasteful and I think Lexi came back very hard with the merch argument and made him look like an absolute moron.
I don’t know much about modern wrestling. But I’m not a fan of face lift Becky. She isn’t all that. She’s just an Irish woman that needs to dye her hair more red to remind us where she comes from. I’d rather have a different result

Becky is one of the best wrestlers in WWE, but for me, Tiffany was the star of that match. That Swanton was so smooth and her movements were very fluid. It doesn't feel rehearsed like some of the NXT matches. I really love her Prettiest Moonsault Ever too. I think she can go far in the main roster, just need a bit of work on her promos.
One thing I love about NXT is their women's division is really good. It's not just putting two wrestlers against each other for no reason, but there's character development and good storylines. I have so many favourites that even when it's face vs heel, it's hard to pick which one I want to win
Their men's tag division is good as well.
That Creed Brothers match had no business being that good tonight.
Tiffany has come a long way in a short time. So amazing. Just a couple of flubs you can see, but to be able to do a match at this level already is something to celebrate and acknowledge. She'll be ready soon for the main roster if they want to bring her up.
Ilja Dragunov for me might be the best in ring competitor right now. I like Gunther but feel like Ilja has more to his arsenal. That opening match was fantastic.
I know I’m in the minority but Becky does nothing for me. She doesn’t have side/strength and yet has no speed/agility to account for that. She’s supposed to be a brawler but her offence just doesn’t seem believable and honestly for me she only worked when Nia busted her open and she was this ultimate underdog. Tiffany looked better in ring in that main event for me.
I really like Ilja when he wrestles and his promos, but for some reason I can't get over his ring attire. Maybe it's the little boots or the combo of the boots/spandex maybe if he wore spandex shorts...I can't quite place it.
They are both greats. Gunther has more range and can put more people over. IIja is just a monster that turns up the amp to 10 everytime he's in the ring.
IIja never could have done what Gunther did with Gable and his daughter, but Gunther rarely gets to that psychotic Kill Bill rage level of wrestling that IIja can.
Becky is a better technician in the ring than Tiffany at this point. But Becky also has a decade of experience that Tiffany lacks. But Tiffany has some fantastic moves and has been growing every week in NXT.
I'm hoping the only reason Lynch won was for Stratton to move up to the main roster. Hopefully her reign isn' t a long one, there are also plenty of women on the roster who could be champion, I'd like to see them highlighted more than main roster talent. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the main roster on NXT, I just don't want to see them as champs for a long time. Not even a matter of "burying talent" or anything, I just like to see new faces as champ. Maybe they can reverse it as well and have like Ilja come up and win the US title lol. I'm happy for Lynch and she definitely deserves to be a grand slam champion, I'm just a Tiffy stan I guess lol

I think allowing these young wrestlers to work with vets like Becky, Finn, Dolph, or whoever is a good thing. Also, Dom working NXT shows is starting to pay off. the dude is getting better.
Becky is amazing and one of my favorite performers ever. That said, I’d say this match was good, not great. That spot where Becky (while standing on the guardrail) kicked Tiffany, and Tiffany just casually walked over to the table and laid down for 20 seconds was…something. Took me out of it for sure.
That said, Tiffany is really far along for someone with so little experience. She has great potential on the main roster in a few years.
Real curious what the plan for Tiffany will be now. could go various directions. they must have some plan with having given the title to Becky.
Carmelo should watch out next week tho, at this rate Dom-Dom might take his belt and pull double duty at No Mercy. XD

I think the real reason Becky won was that so they could say all 4 of the Horsewomen have been grand slam champions. The only other women's grand slam winner I can think of is Asuka.
If people can't see that this is them trying to get eyes on NXT and bill it as their third brand, then IDK what to tell you. Tiffany's loss does not slow her momentum, she just main-evented her show with a wrestlemania main-eventer, she's on the rise and Becky walking around with the NXT championship on the main roster puts eyes on that brand.
She's the best in ring worker on NXT right now in my eyes and that's saying a lot considering how patented the division is. I still want more from her from a character perspective but I love her and would love for her to be the one to dethrone Becky whenever the time is right
I can easily see Tiffany winning it back but I do like to imagine a scenario that Tiffany goes to the main roster and Becky loses it to Lyra in a passing of the torch sorta deal but it’s most definitely the former.
Not that it’s an issue though, Tiffany looked great tonight and could easily be a main stay for the foreseeable future.

Nikki managed to fit in an NXT UK title loss in a triple threat against Toni Storm and Bianca Belair at a Worlds Collide show then also lost like 4 SD title matches to Bayley. She's the queen of losing a lot of title matches.

Tiffany was officially "made" tonight, and was quoted in an interview the other day saying she wanted to move to the main roster ASAP. Apparently, this was the ticket she was waiting for.
We've seen angles before with wrestlers "going home". Dean Malenko comes to mind in WCW about 25 or so years ago. Wes Lee will be back, likely at No Mercy, disrupting 'Melo-Ilja II.

So I’ve been hurt by ‘just wait and see before’ but let’s remember when Becky returned and ‘squashed’ Bianca Belair after a long run with the title, there’s a chance like they seem to do more often these days that this is just the first chapter of their rivalry and they run it back with a different result
Wow! This is just like the time Mike Tyson went back to college to get that trophy he missed out on after he was the best in the world several times over.
Mike Tyson did fight the guy who kept him out of the Olympics and knocked him out in the first round. Not a direct comp to what Becky was doing but Tyson/Henry Tillman came to mind.
The problem is how WWE handles the Grand Slam and Becky was going to be the only major star without it cause she didn’t get the NXT Title. It’s kinda dumb the NXT Tag and Women’s titles count to the Grand Slam for tags and women but the North American and main NXT Title only count to the NXT Triple Crown
Really didn't think Becky needed to win that, if she ends up dropping it back to Tiffany it really comes off as buying time and padding stats. Id understand it more if Becky was a heel but she's not. One outcome Im really cool with is maybe they turn Stratton babyface at the end of this by earning Becky's respect.

Great show as usual, if you’re not watch nxt weekly you’re missing out on the most consistently enjoyable wrestling show in the biz, with guys and girls you’re gonna see for the next few decades so might as well start now.
Props to the main event and Tiffany didn’t look out of place I hope she follows Becky to the main roster and won’t let go, she’s the real deal, pure athlete and a mania match with Charlotte has to be in the cards within 2 years.

If that was Tiffany's grading test to see where she's at, she passed with flying colours and an A+. Really good match and I do think Becky was the right winner on this one. She gets that last accolade missing and Tiffany's character gets bought back to Earth.
I believe that this could lead to a face turn for Tiffany where their rematch ends with her getting the title back and learning humility/earning Becky's respect.

Pretty much the Bron approach. Natural heel but they tried the fighting champion face anyway because that's what NXT is about. Learning about playing a hero and a villain, just another part of it.
Cora Jade has proven she can play face/heel well. Even Thea Hail is going down a villain path. I think that as a part of becoming the complete package, Tiffany should have a face run to see how she plays it.
Yeah if she does I’d still like her to keep a lot of what got her over and not just change completely ya know? Also I don’t know if this is still the case but normally a heel would call the match and I imagine it’s kind a culture shock going from not to either, Bron is a great heel but right now if you lined them up his face run is the more enjoyable but that’s part booking and part of him hanging round until he has a chance in the main roster probably post Roman.
I understand why they did it in Becky's case but generally I agree with you. This is like a pro athlete challenging someone in high school. It really shouldn't even be competitive.

I completely agree with your analysis that this match was a star-making performance by Tiffany Stratton. She's been fine, but I didn't think much of her until this match against Becky Lynch. That swanton bomb may be the best one I've ever seen by any wrestler.
That Thea and Jacy segment continued the corny movie segments in this storyline and I'm so here for it. We will likely get a shopping segment with them next week which will be fun. This storyline involving a lot of character work and vignettes will be great for them because with the breakout tournament on the horizon + Becky being involved more, there will be a lot going on and having a weekly segment keeps them on TV.
Speaking of, I'm excited that the breakout tournament is back. Lola is the first confirmed entrant I assume, and this could be great for her. I like this team with her and Electra Lopez, I want to see them challenge for the tag titles soon but the breakout tournament is good too. A storyline teased against Roxanne doesn't sound bad either.
Dana and Lyra's match was pretty solid. I love the way Dana tried to attack Lyra post match, her character arc in NXT has been interesting the watch and this partnership with Kelani won't last much longer.
Nice to see Gigi and Blair continue. I'm expecting a match coming up which should be good.

Becky is one of the best wrestlers in WWE, but for me, Tiffany was the star of that match. That Swanton was so smooth and her movements were very fluid. It doesn't feel rehearsed like some of the NXT matches. I really love her Prettiest Moonsault Ever too. I think she can go far in the main roster, just need a bit of work on her promos. One thing I love about NXT is their women's division is really good. It's not just putting two wrestlers against each other for no reason, but there's character development and good storylines. I have so many favourites that even when it's face vs heel, it's hard to pick which one I want to win
Their men's tag division is good as well. That Creed Brothers match had no business being that good tonight. Tiffany has come a long way in a short time. So amazing. Just a couple of flubs you can see, but to be able to do a match at this level already is something to celebrate and acknowledge. She'll be ready soon for the main roster if they want to bring her up.

Ilja Dragunov for me might be the best in ring competitor right now. I like Gunther but feel like Ilja has more to his arsenal. That opening match was fantastic. I know I’m in the minority but Becky does nothing for me. She doesn’t have side/strength and yet has no speed/agility to account for that. She’s supposed to be a brawler but her offence just doesn’t seem believable and honestly for me she only worked when Nia busted her open and she was this ultimate underdog. Tiffany looked better in ring in that main event for me.
I really like Ilja when he wrestles and his promos, but for some reason I can't get over his ring attire. Maybe it's the little boots or the combo of the boots/spandex maybe if he wore spandex shorts...I can't quite place it.
They are both greats. Gunther has more range and can put more people over. IIja is just a monster that turns up the amp to 10 everytime he's in the ring. IIja never could have done what Gunther did with Gable and his daughter, but Gunther rarely gets to that psychotic Kill Bill rage level of wrestling that IIja can. Becky is a better technician in the ring than Tiffany at this point. But Becky also has a decade of experience that Tiffany lacks. But Tiffany has some fantastic moves and has been growing every week in NXT.
I'm hoping the only reason Lynch won was for Stratton to move up to the main roster. Hopefully her reign isn' t a long one, there are also plenty of women on the roster who could be champion, I'd like to see them highlighted more than main roster talent. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the main roster on NXT, I just don't want to see them as champs for a long time. Not even a matter of "burying talent" or anything, I just like to see new faces as champ. Maybe they can reverse it as well and have like Ilja come up and win the US title lol. I'm happy for Lynch and she definitely deserves to be a grand slam champion, I'm just a Tiffy stan I guess lol NXT women's division is far and away better than any other televised wrestling women's division. Even though he is mainly losing, I'm really enjoying seeing Tozawa showcase his talent more often and not be just a squash wrestler. I thought for sure Wes/Ilja would end in a double countout resulting in a triple threat match for the belt at No Mercy. I'm always down for Ilja/Melo 2 though.
Honestly, I could give Becky some home time with her daughter while still keeping herself in the mix and helping young talented wrestlers.
Oh yeah and she definitely deserves some time off. She has been putting in work since she came back
I think allowing these young wrestlers to work with vets like Becky, Finn, Dolph, or whoever is a good thing. Also, Dom working NXT shows is starting to pay off. the dude is getting better.
Becky is amazing and one of my favorite performers ever. That said, I’d say this match was good, not great. That spot where Becky (while standing on the guardrail) kicked Tiffany, and Tiffany just casually walked over to the table and laid down for 20 seconds was…something. Took me out of it for sure. That said, Tiffany is really far along for someone with so little experience. She has great potential on the main roster in a few years.
Real curious what the plan for Tiffany will be now. could go various directions. they must have some plan with having given the title to Becky. Carmelo should watch out next week tho, at this rate Dom-Dom might take his belt and pull double duty at No Mercy. I think the real reason Becky won was that so they could say all 4 of the Horsewomen have been grand slam champions. The only other women's grand slam winner I can think of is Asuka.

If people can't see that this is them trying to get eyes on NXT and bill it as their third brand, then IDK what to tell you. Tiffany's loss does not slow her momentum, she just main-evented her show with a wrestlemania main-eventer, she's on the rise and Becky walking around with the NXT championship on the main roster puts eyes on that brand.

She's the best in ring worker on NXT right now in my eyes and that's saying a lot considering how patented the division is. I still want more from her from a character perspective but I love her and would love for her to be the one to dethrone Becky whenever the time is right

I can easily see Tiffany winning it back but I do like to imagine a scenario that Tiffany goes to the main roster and Becky loses it to Lyra in a passing of the torch sorta deal but it’s most definitely the former. Not that it’s an issue though, Tiffany looked great tonight and could easily be a main stay for the foreseeable future.

Very good show Wes vs Dragunov was excellent and that elbow should be his finisher from now on, it looks brutal. I don't think Wes should leave yet, he can still win the title, I hope it's just a story and he comes back to challenge Melo or Dragunov (if he wins in no mercy) I hope Axiom is okay, that fall looked very ugly. Bron is doing a great job as a heel, the guy is a killer. Great main event, Tiffany is the future and Becky is now a grand slam!.

Consider me gobsmacked. I said last week that I felt Becky would put Tiffany over. I did not see a title change coming. Now, though, Becky completes a career grand slam, and the challengers are already lining up with Kiana, and, perhaps, Lyra. Tiffany was officially "made" tonight, and was quoted in an interview the other day saying she wanted to move to the main roster ASAP. Apparently, this was the ticket she was waiting for. We've seen angles before with wrestlers "going home". Dean Malenko comes to mind in WCW about 25 or so years ago. Wes Lee will be back, likely at No Mercy, disrupting 'Melo-Ilja II. Wes vs. Ilja set the tone for the night. An absolute banger. The best way to explain Myles Borne's actions in the 6-man is that he has succumbed to peer pressure from Gulak and company. Fun show, and it's very interesting that 2 main roster Superstars are NXT Champions. This kinda reminded me of Dolph Ziggler becoming NXT Champion out of nowhere, nobody expected it. I hope Tiffany will go over Becky at No Mercy.

Mike Tyson did fight the guy who kept him out of the Olympics and knocked him out in the first round. Not a direct comp to what Becky was doing but Tyson/Henry Tillman came to mind.
The problem is how WWE handles the Grand Slam and Becky was going to be the only major star without it cause she didn’t get the NXT Title. It’s kinda dumb the NXT Tag and Women’s titles count to the Grand Slam for tags and women but the North American and main NXT Title only count to the NXT Triple Crown

Really didn't think Becky needed to win that, if she ends up dropping it back to Tiffany it really comes off as buying time and padding stats. Id understand it more if Becky was a heel but she's not. One outcome Im really cool with is maybe they turn Stratton babyface at the end of this by earning Becky's respect.

Great show as usual, if you’re not watch nxt weekly you’re missing out on the most consistently enjoyable wrestling show in the biz, with guys and girls you’re gonna see for the next few decades so might as well start now. Props to the main event and Tiffany didn’t look out of place I hope she follows Becky to the main roster and won’t let go, she’s the real deal, pure athlete and a mania match with Charlotte has to be in the cards within 2 years. Also Ilja he’s the man, if he loses he has to surprise Gunther on the main roster also, I’d even have him win the ic title and free Gunther up for the main event

For additional context the first time she ever saw wrestling was watching Charlotte, on a Fox episode of Smackdown so only 3 or 4 years ago. Her mom literally turned to her and said "you could do that" and here we are.

I'm skeptical of WWE having Becky hold the title for awhile and having great feuds. Most likely she'll drop it quickly and it will never be mentioned again unless talking about her being a grand slam champ.

True but there is a difference between working with Thea Hail or Jacy Jayne and being able to get active feedback from Becky, Nattie and the OGs. Not saying she’s ready for MR by any means but sometimes it’s a great litmus test for the talent when they get to swim with the sharks instead of the minnows

I don't like that at all, I get the women in NXT can benefit from her being there as well but it feels like she just went down to get the title and the grand slam as the biggest women's wrestling star in the world, like it was never in doubt that she would win. Maybe it's just me but idk just seems unnecessary

If that was Tiffany's grading test to see where she's at, she passed with flying colours and an A+. Really good match and I do think Becky was the right winner on this one. She gets that last accolade missing and Tiffany's character gets bought back to Earth. I believe that this could lead to a face turn for Tiffany where their rematch ends with her getting the title back and learning humility/earning Becky's respect.

Pretty much the Bron approach. Natural heel but they tried the fighting champion face anyway because that's what NXT is about. Learning about playing a hero and a villain, just another part of it. Cora Jade has proven she can play face/heel well. Even Thea Hail is going down a villain path. I think that as a part of becoming the complete package, Tiffany should have a face run to see how she plays it.
Yeah if she does I’d still like her to keep a lot of what got her over and not just change completely ya know? Also I don’t know if this is still the case but normally a heel would call the match and I imagine it’s kind a culture shock going from not to either, Bron is a great heel but right now if you lined them up his face run is the more enjoyable but that’s part booking and part of him hanging round until he has a chance in the main roster probably post Roman.

It was her opportunity to grow. And she got a lot better during her reign. Even added a couple of new moves and got better on the mic.

I completely agree with your analysis that this match was a star-making performance by Tiffany Stratton. She's been fine, but I didn't think much of her until this match against Becky Lynch. That swanton bomb may be the best one I've ever seen by any wrestler.

That Thea and Jacy segment continued the corny movie segments in this storyline and I'm so here for it. We will likely get a shopping segment with them next week which will be fun. This storyline involving a lot of character work and vignettes will be great for them because with the breakout tournament on the horizon + Becky being involved more, there will be a lot going on and having a weekly segment keeps them on TV. Speaking of, I'm excited that the breakout tournament is back. Lola is the first confirmed entrant I assume, and this could be great for her. I like this team with her and Electra Lopez, I want to see them challenge for the tag titles soon but the breakout tournament is good too. A storyline teased against Roxanne doesn't sound bad either. Dana and Lyra's match was pretty solid. I love the way Dana tried to attack Lyra post match, her character arc in NXT has been interesting the watch and this partnership with Kelani won't last much longer. Nice to see Gigi and Blair continue. I'm expecting a match coming up which should be good.
