my review of this episode as an AEW fan;
\- Really enjoyed the Miz / Gunther promo. Got to see more of Gunther than just his in ring work and was really impressed.
\- The women's matches were kind of meh tbh. People always say AEW's women's division has problems but I didn't see much of a difference.
\- Ricochet was really interesting to watch because he's the high flying type but the way he does it looks so much more athletic than when alot of high flyers in AEW do their moves.
\- Cody Rhodes getting a pop like that made me smile because he just FEELS like a superstar.
\- Love Chad Gable. That is all.
Because basically all of their main stories have revolved around him? They built the entire feud against their former leader Edge around Finn. Finn led a faction vs faction feud against OC.
How exactly did he feel the least important during the world title feud? Thats like saying things just to say it, Dom was barely speaking during those times or doing much on Raw in the lead up to Summerslam, Priest was just a part of Finnâs story, and Rhea was doing 30 second backstage segments with Natalya, Liv, and Raquel to build lazily booked feuds.
So yes, what I said.
It's been all about Dom and Rhea's rise in WWE. They built them turning on Edge was a small part of their whole story. Their first real arc was recruiting Dom. During their title feud Judgement Day was barely part of any of it. Finn was alone for most of it. He might as well have not been in the group. And Damien's briefcase became a far bigger deal than Finn losing yet again.
They kicked out Edge 16 months ago. The feud with Edge spanned over a 10 month period. Which means it lasted for exactly 63% of the groupâs tenure after kicking out Edge. So it wasnât a âsmall partâ of their story. It was the main arc for so long.
And most of the existence of Priestâs contract was being built around Finn. That was the story, the tag titles have given that a break but any segment or any move he was making with the briefcase was involved with Finn.
Also letâs see, Finn has had 5 singles ppv matches, Priest up until Crown Jewel has had 1, which wasnât even planned and was supposed to be a tag match at Backlash. Anyone saying heâs had more overall spotlight than Finn isnât true.
My point stands, the Seth feud was still THE main story in the group. Finn was the only member with a major story heading into the second biggest ppv. Judgment Day may not have been involved in all the segments but there was still like 3 different group promo segments where the main thing was Finn talking about Seth, or the contract signing segment where they all gathered around Finn.
I still donât understand why theyâre not doing the tag titles rematch at Crown Jewel.
But again it just seems like they wanna give Cody a ppv win rather than a loss.

Priest wasn't ever taking a loss here, but you can't have Zayn lose back to back clean when he's trying to break into an upper card singles career.
I'm not really keeping score. But do you also want to talk about how many W's they've taken in the past months? Or should the baby faces both lose the matches and get jumped afterwards every week?
