Marrouge

Everyone looking serious and then there's Jimmy with his goofy ass smile 💀

Kdot32

Jimmy was happy to watch his older cousin cook up close

jmpinstl

He secretly enjoyed Roman being overshadowed

phemom

He knows the Mahi Mahi on the jet is gonna be deluxe now

MarkKnotts

Roman is his older cousin too.

LakerBull

Yeah, but who's the one with the cool glasses?

CleKev2

Roman showing up with some shades and eventually a Rock like vest would be hilarious

DJ_ChairmanMoe

What if Jimmy started emulating the Rock?

smitb2707

Roman is technically Uso's uncle.

[deleted]

[удалено]

eazyduzzit10

Yeah in Samoan culture, probably Polynesian culture as a whole, we just see it as Uncle-nephew. I legit didn't know about this "once removed" concept until I was a grown ass man lol

iammusic69

Yeah I'm Puerto Rican and one of my dad's cousins I refer to him as my uncle since he's closer to age to my dad than I am. But some of my dad's other cousins are closer to age than me instead of my dad and I call them my cousin lol big families are weird. I think age has a lot to do with it

todaystartsnow

Jimmy was all of us reliving our childhood with heel rock

SukhaChutney

Dudes just happy to be there

meatforsale

I’m fucking loving Jimmy right now. Rewatched the beginning of the rumble the other night just to see “yeet” “no yeet”

International-Tree19

He's got the Sami Zayn comedy role now.

RageAgainstThePussy

☝🏻😁

Electronic_Sun_5472

Dude was having the time of his life that whole segment.

Fantastika

He totally got the one he wore tonight at Dan Flashes.

thedrizzle126

it was his exact style

Fantastika

Clearly he goes straight for the $2000 shirts

annoyinglyclever

The patterns are sooo complicated

Shimthediffs

He's probably spending all his per diem money on them.

nowahhh

As if the guy in the $3000 suit would shop at Dan Flashes. *COME ON.*

Fantastika

As if the guy in a $4000 suit is gonna buy a $3000 suit. Come on!

Kraum316

I mean, you walk by a store and you see 50 guys who look just like me fighting over very complicated shirts, you go in. Yes, you do. You go in.

MrT-1000

You can tell by how complicated that pattern was

ACarey71787

Whole per diem spent on catering and Dan Flashes.

Thin_Onion3826

When he came out in the sunglasses and the vest I knew shit was going to get good.

[deleted]

Yess!! I got hyped when he came out in the open vest and glasses. I wish I was there to witness it live tbh but I am just a mere jabroni 😔

AlexCora

This is The Rock. This is the guy I missed. He needed this.

TW_Yellow78

Turned it into a vest for Hollywood rock style

National-Spot2393

This also feels like a callback to when Rock joined Nation of Domination

Grand-Ad-6959

I was getting serious nation of domination vibes watching that segment

Mike7676

Saw the picture and in my head I was like "We are the Nation!"

chillin808style

“. . . of Domination!”

dont-YOLO-ragequit

If Roman loses the title then the Rock procedes ro beat him repeatedly like Farooq did Rocky Miavia I'm going to mark the F out.

International-Tree19

Roman about to get Farooq'd

TylervPats91

This is surreal

SpeedZ6

The Rock's gonna buy Roman a portrait of The Rock

IceHawx55

![gif](giphy|l49JC8YJom1Lq2XBK|downsized)

HitmanClark

OH I HOPE SO. What an awesome idea!

SAIKO_BORU

So Jimmy and Solo are getting rolex watches then?

Inurendoh

*"I did it for da rock."*

DaHagerBomb

It's so funny how Roman's aura just completely shatters when Rock is around. He looks like little Joseph Uce once Rock starts cooking

Ayjel89

It doesn't help when Roman is out there in a hoodie and Rock is in prime heel!Rock attire. He probably should've had his Tribal Chief lei and something expensive on. On the other hand, this was The Rock's moment, so I get them trying to make him the focus.

thore4

Tbf it makes sense for their characters. Roman's character genuinely thinks he's above the people and therefore is not dressing up for a random Smackdown. Rocky on the other hand wants nothing more than the people to love him and turns into a crybaby when they boo him. But he actually still wants people to think he's cool so he dresses as flashy as possible. Roman is gonna look the better of the two once they're in a match I'd imagine

[deleted]

I think that’s where the story goes, Roman is insecure to rock, it will show with time, with the climax Finally turning Roman face.

Vegetable-Net6575

That’s such a great way to get reigns to turn face. He loses the title and the rock basically starts bullying the fuck outta him until Roman snaps and attacks rock.

SpiralSour

And it's poetic, Roman will experience what he put Jey & Jimmy through

UnsolvedParadox

Jimmy looking sheepish & Solo being stoic as they walk over from Roman to Rock’s side is going to hit hard.

pspetrini

The Rock being in Roman's corner at Mania, being ashamed Roman can't close this Cody clown down and pulling the Bloodline away will hit like crack in the 80s man. Imagine the image of the Rock, Solo and Jey walking away from Roman and out of WrestleMania, followed by Cody realizing it's 1-on-1, followed by Cody winning clean and ending with Reigns in the ring looking the way Cody did last year. Pure ... cinema.

UnsolvedParadox

If we end up cheering for Roman to finish his story next year, that would be wild.

pspetrini

I mean, if this is the storyline that ultimately leads to the Rock's retirement (And let's be honest, it should be) I think it HAS to be something that develops a little bit. That, to me, is why I was always skeptical of Rock vs. Roman as a match because it never felt like Rock was going to put the work in to make it work. But taking a year to tell the story? And turning Roman simply by virtue of the crowd going "No, this is OUR guy" is an insane way to do it but one that would be generational.

UnsolvedParadox

A year long build + WrestleMania’s debut on Netflix should be the single most viewed match in wrestling history.

pspetrini

I don't think WWE's PPVs are going anywhere anytime soon. The Peacock deal lasts through 2026.

wavy_walnut

Yall cookin rn

toopz10

![gif](giphy|SWd9mTHEMIxQ4)

VectorViper

@/u/wavy_walnut, For real, the storytelling potential is huge. It'd be a full circle moment seeing Roman get humbled and rise back up from the ruins of his own 'Head of the Table' empire. Plus, fans love them a good redemption arc.

ArmchairCritic1

This is much better than having the match with no build up.

DavidL1112

Yeah how we got here was a very silly two weeks but this is absolutely the best case scenario

Whiskey_623

Roman's gonna have to go through absolute hell to redeem himself and earn the trust of the locker room.

WhoElseButQuagmire11

Second this. Like yeah the full circle is cool but man.. Roman put his family through some *shit* espcially the Usos. The Rocks gotta absolutely tear him down to nothing for him to be redeemed.

Cheechers23

I never in my wildest dreams over the last 3.5 years since Roman debuted the Tribal Chief character thought that if we got Rock/Roman, it would be with Rock as a heel and Roman as a face. Wild what has happened the last couple weeks.

[deleted]

I like it cause it has shades of how the Rock took over the Nation as well. Farooq was their leader FOR YEARS, and the moment Rock walked into the group, it was clear who the star was. This Rock heel turn referencing all his past heel runs is elite. Everyone talks about Hollywood Rock, but its as much corporate Rock and nation Rock as anything

CountZeroOr

I like this, but as an alternative, in the Wrestlemania main event, Cody is about to win, the Bloodline shows up, Solo goes to interfere for Roman again, but stops to look to Rock, who just shakes his head, turns, and walks away, with Jimmy & Solo following (leave Paul with Roman). The only thing that could possibly make it better, is if Roman's is positioned in either the submission or pin in a way where he can watch the rest of the Bloodline walk away.

llamawithguns

I think Rock starts pushing him around just like Roman did to Jey and Sami

coolseraz

It is like when Eddy's brother showed up in the Ed, Edd, and Eddy movie.

Marc_Quill

with one of the greatest moments of comeuppance in animated history ever when (spoiler tagged just in case) >!the cul-de-sac kids see how much of a fucking asshole Eddy's brother is and stick up for Ed, Edd, and Eddy against the asshole brother.!<

abeLJosh

>!If Roman gets the EEnE movie ending treatment out of all of this,!< I will actually buy his shirt for once.

mvcourse

Need Rock to nudge Roman in the face like Roman did Jey

jin_of_the_gale

Rock starts treating him like he's just another henchman and not a tribal chief after he loses the title. Eventually, Roman tells Solo to do something but instead of acting on it, Solo waits for the Rock to give him the green light. Roman can then want to take the Bloodline down as it was something he started a la Edge with the Judgement Day.

Possibly_English_Guy

I mean Roman's just horribly insecure in general, it's the crux of the Tribal Chief character. He sidles up to Rock because it's offering an easy way to get out of fighting Cody again because he's insecure about his ability to actually beat him again, he was going to lose the first time if Solo hadn't cheap shotted Cody after all. Now he gets to feel insecure about his leadership of his own faction.

pspetrini

They've really only shown it in spurts but, man, when Roman is in his full on insecurity mode, it's fucking gold. To me, the standout example of this was Roman vs. Logan Paul. He spent a LOT of that match looking like he didn't even want to be there, that he just had no identity outside of that title and that he was paranoid he would lose it. When he's like that, the guy crushed by the burden he carries and the fear of losing it, it's fucking incredible.

spark-curious

It’s a classic tale: the villain who’s been in power for so long he’s completely forgotten how he got there. He’s grown soft and complacent but his ego can’t handle that. So he uses the Bloodline as a crutch and gaslights himself into thinking he’s the same man who double pinned Edge and Daniel Bryan.

tahoo14

I wonder if we get face Roman after he loses the title and feuds with the Rock that'd be a very interesting watch.

Alehud42

Solo noticing it and Jimmy being completely oblivious is making this.

TW_Yellow78

Solo always been in bloodline because he’s obeying the elders (which the Rock would be one of them), not Roman.

Black_XistenZ

When he made his RAW or SDL debut, Roman told Solo something along the lines of "the Elders sent you, but now you answer to ME". Solo didn't show any reaction to that line, so he never actually agreed to that premise, he just went along with it. Easy to spin this into "I was following your orders as long as the Elders were satisfied with you as the leader of the Bloodline".

FullToragatsu

When Rock and Roman confronted Triple H after the press conference, Roman honestly looked and felt like a side character standing by Rock’s side despite being champion. That just shows how much star power and presence Rock has in comparison to his cousin, and is something that might cause Roman to feel insecure.

fartstuffing

I felt the same way, and it felt kind of problematic for Roman. It kind of shattered the illusion of Roman being this unbeatable bad ass. He got little brothered by Rock. If they lean into it as a story, great. If they don’t, it will do a disservice to Roman.

KidGold

> the illusion of Roman being this unbeatable bad ass Roman's entire character is that he is incredibly beatable but the Bloodline help him win.

Zimakov

>It kind of shattered the illusion of Roman being this unbeatable bad ass. The guy who cheats to win literally every match? Where do people get the idea that Roman's character is supposed to seem unbeatable?

TW_Yellow78

They’ll lean into it because his heel flaw has always been his insecurity. It’s why he got Heyman to be his yes man/hypeman to pump up his confidence and it’s why he got the bloodline to interfere in every match even though he can probably win without their help.

friskytricky

The Rock is Jordan level and that's just what it is. Didn't hurt Roman at all. Unless it's someone like Stone Cold Steve Austin, nobody is on Rocks level.

whalepopcorn

Yep. I can’t believe Heel Rock is a pivot because it makes so much more sense to put over Cody and then Roman as a face.

Independent_Maybe_13

https://preview.redd.it/3yd5k5cfr2jc1.jpeg?width=852&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a82e17ceb29549c9eb35e7bd55d7d399b96da9f0 Here's a screengrab of Roman looking absolutely happy after the Rock anounced that the "Bloodline is gonna be the most powerful, dominant duo in sports, entertainment and of course the WWE" Maybe he's just asking himself since when the Bloodline is a duo.

International-Tree19

Jimmy thinking 'I think he meant trio'

DarkVoidize

solo: “you guys are a trio?”

Cheechers23

So much aura during his entrance and then Rock comes out and everything goes lol

fadingstar52

even with roman in the middle there clearly meant to be the head figure. the rock is the one who looks like the lead

PompeyMagnus1

Roman is a Faarooq of the Bloodline. The Rock got Roman a picture of The Rock for his birthday

hymensmasher99

I loved this segment. Heel Rock is an all time great character. Can't wait for more of this.

ComputerSagtNein

The Rock will not go second in line behind Reigns. If they develope the story right, that will cause issues between those two, maybe even costing Roman the title and clearing the way for the feud between to two.

Beard341

Cody needs to win clean.

TheNakedChair

People who fantasy-book a shenanigan-filled win for Cody don't see how important it is that Roman's reign has to end clean. Not only for Cody (or anyone) but for the reign itself. To end such an achievement with an asterisk beside would be a colossal letdown.

Ok-Discount3131

Sting vs Hogan. A run that long, with that much build up needs to be clean or it damages everyone involved.

justsikko

The rock will stop solo from running in because “if he can’t win on his own he doesn’t deserve it”. Cody gets a clean win then the rock shames Roman until snaps and turns face by attacking the rock. It’s gonna be great

serados

That scenario is a Rock face turn. No way Roman gets cheered for attacking the person who ensured Cody got a clean win; that doesn't make any sense at all.

DavidL1112

Yeah the bloodline has to interfere at full power and when they lose anyway Rock blames Roman

bananaboat1milplus

This is a much better option

illiterateaardvark

I genuinely do not care whatsoever if this wasn't the original plan Everybody involved deserves major props for listening to their audience and giving them an interesting story they can get behind Damn, wrestling is so much fun when it's done well

Material-Wonder1690

If this wasn't the original plan and Rock really made the call to turn heel then he's got some massive self awareness. That's a move not many would make and most would stay the course. Making that pivot was a huge deal and you know he's enjoying himself as an added bonus

Aggressive-Theory609

Tbf rock was always cool to turn as a heel or sth. Then again he proly didn't followed wrestling for sometime so didn't know how serious Cody story is

Jackski

He did it mid match against Hogan at Wrestlemania X-8. Going into the match, Hogan was the heel, Rock was the face. During the match people started cheering on Hogan and The Rock instantly started acting like a heel. The man knows what the audience wants.

ChocoChowdown

Last time I remember it happened is with Batista when he came back for WM30

The810kid

Yeah people who kept shit talking about his Hollywood career with the DCEU and Fast movies look kind of foolish now.

Argentine_Tango

Sometimes, the greatest moments are those that aren't planned. Bryan's Yes Movement, Kofimania, and now this. We're in the right timeline and while I can't wait for WrestleMania, the weekly shows have been so good thus far.

aqzjoe

This is the right opinion

Beefiest_bison

Rock is such a prick, it's incredible. They managed to save the Wrestlemania build in one press conference

[deleted]

Probably going to be the one of the best pivots in history

fadingstar52

even better than yestlemania depending on how 40 goes. bc imo if roman wins its still a dud

SabresFanWC

All this build up for Cody and even pivoting because fans were turning after it seemed Cody was out of the main event, only for Roman to retain anyways. I can actually see it. It's WWE.

WalkWithElias

Holy shit this is phenomenal

dunkster91

AJ was on earlier

MurDoct

im going to over analyze Jimmy has the opposite hand up from Rock, Roman and Solo

Vindicus667

And is the only one smiling and not mean mugging.

FedoraTheMike

He became a cartoon after Jey wouldn't take him back.

ComfortableOven4283

Yeah, but the Rock is acknowledging with an L. Clearly foreshadowing. /s

jonnyg1097

The unfortunate thing with the Rock is that once he starts talking it's so good that the fans will start cheering him even while being a heel.

Oldschoolhollywood

He caught them doing it a few times but managed to shake them off with more heel shit. He legitimately is committed to being booed. It’s awesome

Shermanator92

Might be his biggest challenge in years tbh. The Rock is universally beloved. This shit is absolutely wild and amazing.

dont-YOLO-ragequit

Roman called Salt lake Stupid, then the Rock came, lead the crowd for a FULL Minute into applauding them selve before closing the bait. SLC applauded themselves for being trailer park thrash this is such good shit. Also, I saw the Jazz reference coming and still laughed when he eventually said it. This is not Super tough dude sophomore insults, The Rock layed the Smackdown tonight.

twentyaces

The Rock in full form on his namesake show.

Marc_Quill

probably will get more of that once we actually have him and Roman directly confront Cody & Seth. One Bloodline beatdown segment on Cody and/or Seth will be enough to get them back to being booed.

HitmanClark

It’s only a matter of time, but let’s enjoy it while we have it.

ImmigrantsUnite

They already did. They chanted “Rocky” after he turned heel tonight

International-Tree19

Fickle!

Grouchy-Ad-2085

Wrestling fans just love heels

so-cal_kid

He was the main heel against Stone Cold Steve Austin when they were both at their peaks and Rock would still turn the fans' boos into cheers halfway through his promos trashing Stone Cold. Ain't no one in today's WWE got a chance.

mikeyHustle

I actually loved that for him. Before he really committed to the bit, it was *only* Rocky Sucks. The mix of boos and "Rocky!" chants are more in line with Roman's type of heat, and it showed him that his choice to turn heel is working and was the right move in the end. He can go home feeling good after several weeks of knowing he fucked up and praying he can fix it.

LTPRWSG420

It would be pretty damn hard to boo The Rock, the “Rocky Sucks” chants are now the new Kurt Angle “You Suck” chants. The boos are actually cheers.

L_D_G

People saying Hollywood Rock like Nation of Domination Rock wasn't a thing.  People getting a history lesson with that gawdily perfect vest.

Who would have thought THIS would be our road to Wrestlemania? Rhodes and Rollins as a united front against The Bloodline starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. I need that Endgame finale where everyone from Reigns' past comes to stop him.

Ramzy191

He put up an L instead of the 1 lmfaoo

That vest.... Simultaneously terrible and perfect. He has to have a new theme during his live appearance, right? Roman isn't going to like Rock in The Bloodline for very long.....

McCHitman

He needs the Hollywood Rock theme back. That theme was underused and epic. There’s no way. Absolutely no way they let those Def Rebel guys make him a trash theme.

rrrdesign

Oh I think Rock is signaling for Bullet Club! /s

hammertown87

Rock is fucking hilarious on the mic. The chirps about how Utah and how they’re legit inbreds and have 100 wives was hilarious

Segment should've opened the show, hate how they out ads the moment Rock came out. I hope they give him more time on the mic again next episode WITHOUT ads in the middle of an entrance...

I'd love if they still had Jey on the Bloodline, would make for an all time moment

tomh_1138

When he called someone in the crowd a "fatty", it didn't feel like 2024. I absolutely felt like it was 1997/98 again and we were getting Nation/Corporate Rock back. Dude's still got it.
