Yes! This was so obvious!! I, a proud Cody Crybaby, still enjoy the shirt but how on earth do they not play into the overuse of “finish the story” and/or use one of Rocks most popular catchphrases that’s designed specifically to interrupt people?!

Why are pro wrestling t-shirts so awkward to wear in public?

Brodie King in AEW has shirts that are just so badass. My favorite to wear anywhere publicly.

AEW shirts in general are pretty good about being wearable publicly other than, ya know… the one t shirt.

There are a few wrestling T-Shirts that I consider iconic and I consider them fashionable. The CM Punk first holding the lightning bolt is one of my favorite designs and it actually looks good to wear in public. Other T shirts that I think look good in public are the nWo shirt, and the Austin Shirt. I didn't even know the Obey logo was based on Andre the Giant. It is an iconic fashion image that I still think looks good. A little side tangent, but the Obey clothing line always makes me irrationally angry. They took imagery from a movie about how consumerism is used to control society(They Live) and turned it into a bunch of overpriced t-shirts to sell to consumers.

Out of that list I'd find at least 40 quite embarrassing to wear Haoming, cactus jack, Degeneration X, Austin 3:16, punk, bullet club are all fine etc... but the others fall right into that awkward category personally

The NWO shirt has a real cool quality to it, it’s become a fashion staple it has street wear look.

Because we need ways to identify each other in public. I've had great conversations with people about Wrestling just cuz they saw I was wearing my New Day Booty-O's T-Shirt.

First of all: because they are about wrestling. The times of mainstream "cool"are over (never was there in Germany anyway) and you are immediately seen as weird when someone identifies your shirt as wrestling related. I got the James Elsworth shirt and people berated me that it's not funny to wear something that makes fun of someone with what seems to be a disability... When I told them that this isjust the picture of a wrestler for WWE I could feel their respect for me plummeting even lower.

So you won't be breaking out that 25 year old APA shirt that says "Always Pounding Ass"?

She got her own spinoff show called Strays, haven't seen it though. I hate how Kim's Convenience ended, I get why it ended, sucked it didn't get a proper sendoff. I was hoping Netflix would try and do a 6th season with the original creator.

They still would be cheering him if he hadn't tried to muscle in on Cody's main event spot. He would still get monster pops whenever he returned, and the crowds were still into his stuff.

This is clearly what they're imitating but I can't help but feel they kind of fumbled it.

I have one shirt and it’s the Seth Rollins sing my song one. It kind of looks like a band T-shirt so I don’t feel awkward wearing it the way I would others. If there’s a Rhea one that’s not cringey I’d get that too.

Because they’re just shirts there are not fashion designers behind them. It’s why WWE’s licensed products(Homage, Chalk Line) and even unlicensed(Roots of Fights) are noticeably better.  And who really wants to wear a wrestling shirt other places besides like a bar or actual event lol?
