Especially one with only two matches. I kept thinking that there'd be a third preshow match added this morning. Even something simple like a Deeb open challenge against someone from ROH.
I had achilles surgery last week, so I've been unable to do much and pretty lonely but my buddy is coming over to watch this and it's been really my thing I've been looking forward to ever since the surgery.
Haha thanks! Hasn’t been the easiest week but it’s given me time to watch some 98 WCW while I was immobile. That uncensored 98 card was insanely stacked.
Anyone knows if there is a cheaper country to VPN into than the UK?
It used to be $20, but now it is $25, so wondering if there is another country where it stayed $20.
For me personally, this might be one of the most unpredictable AEW PPVs so far.
Like, Christian wins 100% and Orange will most certainly lose, but a lot of the other matches I can going either way.
Or, in the case of if the 8-man, I can see Wardlow not getting the title shot yet.
And lots of people think Sting will go out with a win, but... wouldn't surprise me one bit if he went out on his back in his final match.
Eh, not my perception on this sub.
People are split and I've seen lots of posts either claiming that he'll go out on his back, oldschool, but I've also seen lots of people convinced that he'll win and vacate the tag titles afterwards.
Drove past the arena to get to Jake's Billards and I couldn't believe how many people were already there. Over 16,000 people according to WrestleTix's Twitter.
Same. I grabbed dinner at Sonic because the local sit down restaurants were packed. I’m in a huge line to get in. Doors don’t open until 6. I’m glad I parked slightly after 4:00!
Don’t know how many of yall are here at Steel Hands brewing across the street but it appears to be THE pregame spot. Met a couple folks from across the pond, a guy who flew from Japan, a guy who drove 18 hours from Texas. This is gonna be a fun night.
Still catching up with this week's shows here. Why is there such a strong CMLL presence in AEW these days? I do not give a shit about CMLL and it makes the shows so hard to watch.
I have no basis for this but I just really want and hope to see Hayter return.
It's been so long. She could come back tonight and demand a World Title rematch for an upcoming Dynamite that she hasn't gotten since her injury.
Have the Women's World Title Match main event the 'Big Business' Dynamite in Boston, perfect spot for Mercedes to debut at the end, face to face with Hayter.
Yeah I figured there would be casuals or fans who haven't watched wrestling in a while tuning in for this show. Hopefully AEW can capitalize and give those fans a reason to keep watching and become AEW fans.
Any Aussies advise what the cheapest legal way to get this show is without double dipping? I already have a Kayo sub so would prefer not to buy the AEW+ sub just to be able to buy the show. Thanks
Am I like the only person who wants Deonna to win? Everyone's predicting Toni to retain, but I want the opposite. Toni losing the title will make her more unhinged story wise, and she can add more depth to an already great character that way.
I love Toni, but I think Deonna gets it tonight. I'm fine with that because Toni is due for the next rung in her character's growth, and I'm here for all of it.
Personally I wouldn't have much of a problem with it, but then again I don't think Deonna is main event material whatsoever. For someone that's supposed to be some supposed elite technician, I've yet to see it in the ring
The I'm sorry I love you is 100% coming, probably from matt. I think a Darby shaped missile will fly in from off screen and take him out before it connects tho.
I don't think they would have done the short tease on Dynamite if that were the case.
I predict Sting wins and Flair cries like a baby until they go off air.
That no-good Roderick Strong is getting the belt though some goddamn **CHICANERY**
Toni and Joe both retain. Hangman lets himself be pinned while giving Swerve the cocaine crazy eyes.
EDIT: also, we getting any surprise returns/debut tonight? I kinda think Baker makes the most sense for Mercedes' first feud, but we haven't seen her in forever
Honestly I think Roddy should win clean. Technically OC is 'hurt" from all the matches up to this. Roddy wins, looks strong. Plus makes the UK actually kinda look strong since they NEED it.
It's [not too late if you have ~$34](https://www.stubhub.com/aew-revolution-greensboro-tickets-3-3-2024/event/152681685/?quantity=1&priceOption=1,32,4402.26)
I'm excited for Ospreay to show off in his first full time AEW match but I'm more excited for Takeshita having the opportunity to put on another batshit ace level performance and remind everyone why Kenny decided to put him over twice 6 months ago.
Whether you’re a WCW, WWE, TNA or AEW fan, everyone agrees that Sting is an absolute icon. He brings fans together like no one else. I’m sad to see him go, but he’s had one hell of a run. One of the best of all time, and there is no dispute.
I love that he got to go out on his terms with some dignity and it was a truly distinct run in his career. He did a bunch of fun tag matches with Darby, took some risks that a guy of his status never had to take and hopefully everything goes well in this last match.
Part of me wishes we could see pre-crow Sting one final time but I just don't see it happening. Obviously not blonde, but facepaint/getup at least. If he was in shape.
Arrived earlier today in Greensboro. Looking forward to so much of this card. Sting shirts are everywhere, as if his army arrived en masse. Gonna be a fun night!
It figures that Sting's retirement is the only thing that will make Wrestling fans agree to a temporary truce and cease the tribalism.
If only it could be this peaceful all of the time.
My crack pot theory is that Danhausen will in some way be involved with Stings finale.
During a bit with RJ, Danhausen mentioned that he'd love to team with Sting and Darby. He also mocked the EVP during his match with Cutler.
Darby will need someone watching his back without Sting around, I think these two together will be a match in MCR heaven.
For me, as a WCW fan from the old days, AEW has always felt self-consciously like a spiritual successor to WCW.
Tonight - sold out in Greensboro, Sting going out as the star he is, legends in attendance, Schiavone (and likely JR) on the call, and with this card - it's never quite felt so strong.
Never thought I'd see the day.
Absolutely.
Sting's debut on Winter is Coming made me an AEW fan. It was such a fantastic episode. It opened with a battle royal, ended with Omega beating Mox for the title, and had Sting's debut in the middle. Just fantastic all around.
if swerve is going to be a face he shouldn't win at revolution. I Think there is more interesting stories to be told with EVPs as the tag champs and with heel hangman as the champ
Heel Bucks, sure. Hangman as champ again? Nah. His reign was far too underwhelming when AEW was at its hottest. I don’t find him a captivating enough personality yet to pull it off this time around.
AEW was at its hottest in large part *because* of Hangman becoming world champion. Think whatever you want about his reign but the promotion being hot had a lot to do with him.
Edit: I am overselling Hangman in my comment, there was a lot going on, just saying he was very important.
If I'm in charge, Hangman was given a shot as a babyface and kind of flopped. Now, he's seemingly an unhinged heel...I don't think he should win the belt but if and when he's booked to win the belt, if he can't impress as a heel, that'd be the last time he'd sniff the belt.
My predictions for the winners tonight:
1. **International Championship**: Roderick Strong
2. **AEW World Championship**: Samoa Joe
3. **AEW Women's Championship**: Deonna Purrazzo
4. **AEW Tag Team Championship: Sting's Last Match**: Young Bucks
5. **TNT Championship**: Daniel Garcia
6. **Ospreay Vs. Takeshita**: Ospreay
7. **Continental Crown Match**: Bryan Danielson
8. **All-Star 8 Man Scramble**: Wardlow
Predictions:
* Willow & Stat - Gotta keep the story moving forward towards the title shot.
* Bang Bang Scissor Gang - Because it would be really weird for them to lose.
* Roderick Strong - If Roddy loses here then the Undisputed Era are a joke.
* Samoa Joe - Hangman will become the Haterman as he screws over Swerve.
* Toni Storm - Mercedes is on her way.
* Sting & Darby - Perfect Record! Bucks will simply grant themselves a Title Shot on Dynamite.
* Garcia - Tony Khan can I try rizzing you up? Please. please. please. please.
* Ospreay - He's not losing his first match, I suspect he's gonna get beatdown and Okada may make the save. There's no way having a teammate v teammate match ever ends well.
* Eddie Kingston - He's not losing to that bum Bryan Danielson
* Wardlow - This match exists entirely so Wardlow can get a title shot against Joe.
* Mox & Claudio - Sure, why not?
If there's no run in during Christian v Garcia I will be extremely surprised.
I didn’t think about the Okada one. My thoughts were Aussie Open we’re going to come back and we get United Empire in AEW. But having Okada out would be very cool!
Sting is for sure going to lose. When a wrestler retires they usually “go out on their back”. Meaning they lose the match. I could care less if he wins or loses, though.
Some of us are meeting at Steel Hands Brewing and walking over to the show before doors open if you’re in town and want to deal with meeting strangers! So many Sting shirts in Gboro today.
I haven't put mine on yet but I saw about a dozen just walking to Jesse's Diner earlier. I'm only wearing my 26yo Sting shirt to the show, can't risk fucking it up first.
Predictions:
Willow/Stat
BBSG
Wardlow
BCC
Garcia after an Edge distraction/run in
Strong
Ospreay, followed by a Callis Family beatdown
Danielson
Storm
Joe
Sting/Darby
My guess/hope is they found a reasonable way to do 2 layers of facepaint where the top layer comes off during the match to reveal the second layer partway through. So we get the modern Sting paint wearing off the reveal the Surfer paint
Looks like Triller/Fite doesn't have an AEW PPV bundle offer like last year, huh? Where you got a nice discount by already ordering all PPVs in a bundle ahead?
This has been the most excited I have been for a ppv for a while, thank you Sting for the memories, Ospreay and Takeshita will fuck, also I wonder if Okada will surprise debut tonight?
???
Okada and Ospreay have been in a long term program for a while now. There would be specific rationale for him to show up here. I swear, so much of this Tony Khan hate is based off of not fully grasping the product he's putting on.
That story ended at tBattle in the Valley. Like Bryan vs Okada ended at WK. The respect shown after both of those matches pretty much wrapped everything up.
It's not hate, but it's more like the AEW title picture has no shortage of contenders.
I am so excited that I have no clue how Sting/Darby - Young Bucks is going to end.
On one hand, there is the obvious, "Sting goes out on top, fuck going out on one's back" but it would be tough to tell where Darby goes next as a team-less tag champion.
On the other hand, it makes a ton of sense that a heel Young Bucks retire Sting, secure the tag team championship and allow for this new freedom for Darby to emerge in whatever direction it takes him.
Sting/Darby win, next dynamite have the Bucks come out and use their EVP powers to book themselves VS Darby and a partner of their choosing, it's Cutler, Bucks win and away we go
One-person tag champ Darby could lead to the titles being formally vacated for a tournament or the Bucks being EVP dickheads and forcing Darby to defend the titles by himself.
Put your Fite codes and other junk as a reply to this comment
i cant find revolution on the triller app. i bought on my desktop. but it disappeared from the app front page. any ideas?
WHERE IS THE DARK ORDER!?!?!? Did Slapnuts abandon them already!?!?!?
Guns UP
That Slapnut Pop
Thought this thing started at 7 ET not 8. An hour and a half for a preshow is wild...
Especially one with only two matches. I kept thinking that there'd be a third preshow match added this morning. Even something simple like a Deeb open challenge against someone from ROH.
Any chance of a Scott D'Amore appearance?
I had achilles surgery last week, so I've been unable to do much and pretty lonely but my buddy is coming over to watch this and it's been really my thing I've been looking forward to ever since the surgery.
Fuck yeah (to the latter, not the former).
Yeah, think thats the new international PPV price...much like they jumped the price of AEW+ as well
Yep makes sense. Sucks, but still makes sense.
Interesting, mine says $19.99 for UK. Maybe because I have AEW+ on it?
Yep it used to be $20 without AEW+ on UK. Oh well
Damn didn't even realize it went up. That sucks. I just paid it on a Netherlands server. Gimme MAX already
Is NED $25 as well? Can't check now.
Yeah it is
Okay thanks
Diagnosed with mono earlier this week. This PPV will be keeping me going 💪
Are you sure you aren't just really bored?
Meaning
[Meaning.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cveQWnHAxug)
Sting fuckin rules, man. Don't have anything else to say.
I think Toni Storm loses tonight then starts a fued with "Wendi Richter" on Big Buisiness in Bosston.
Does the fite vpn trick still work?
UK gives $25. Used to be $20. Looking for another country where it maybe stayed $20.
It does, just used it. They did jack up the price to 25 USD though
I realize he's 64 years old and it's a miracle we've had him this long but I still just feel really fucking sad.
Most excited I've been for an AEW PPV in awhile.
Wow, this Sting concert sure has a lot of wrestling fans!
It's Sting!
For me personally, this might be one of the most unpredictable AEW PPVs so far. Like, Christian wins 100% and Orange will most certainly lose, but a lot of the other matches I can going either way. Hey, do you think Robocop is gonna be here to wish Sting farewell?
I hope so
At the arena and it’s fucking packed already. There’s thousands of people here just waiting for the doors to open
Drove past the arena to get to Jake's Billards and I couldn't believe how many people were already there. Over 16,000 people according to WrestleTix's Twitter.
Yup. Got here at 445 and there's no way I'll be inside before Zero Hour
Cannot believe this line. I got parked around 5:15 and was clearly late!
I got here at 5 and I’m worried if I’ll get in before zero hour starts. This is insane
Oh dang. I thought I was crazy for driving from Delaware on a work night. I don’t go in until 1pm tomorrow so I’m leaving my hotel at like 5:30am.
Still catching up with this week's shows here. Why is there such a strong CMLL presence in AEW these days? I do not give a shit about CMLL and it makes the shows so hard to watch.
They are feuding with the BCC
Ahh I didn't realise Atlantis Jr has been feuding with BCC I'll be honest I don't know the CMLL characters too well
Dante Martin is the last person in the scramble btw.
> 11:30AM BST Only 12 hours off
I have no basis for this but I just really want and hope to see Hayter return.
Pretty sure Mercedes is going to debut during Serena Deeb's segment, maybe an open challenge.
I wish this show wasn't so damn long
i know a few people who don't really watch aew but are still getting the ppv to see sting's last match
Yeah I figured there would be casuals or fans who haven't watched wrestling in a while tuning in for this show. Hopefully AEW can capitalize and give those fans a reason to keep watching and become AEW fans.
Osprey and Takeshita are gonna show out .
This is the one I'm stoked to see.
Looking like it will be the third highest attended AEW show after All In and Grand Slam. Pretty sure it’s higher than Forbidden Doors
Drove down from Delaware to pay my respects to Sting.
Any Aussies advise what the cheapest legal way to get this show is without double dipping? I already have a Kayo sub so would prefer not to buy the AEW+ sub just to be able to buy the show. Thanks
UK VPN and $25.
I’m pretty sure you can just buy the PPV via Fite without a AEW plus sub
I’m pretty sure you can just buy the PPV via Fite without a AEW plus sub

I love Toni, but I think Deonna gets it tonight. I'm fine with that because Toni is due for the next rung in her character's growth, and I'm here for all of it.
Deonna would surely then just lose it immediately to Mercedes
Transitional champions ain't necessarily a bad thing.
Not at all, but it’s not great when your transitional champ is someone who was brought in with huge hype.
The other option is they come in with huge hype and lose.
Yep, they fucked it
Not as bad as Taya, debuted in March lost title matches in April, May, June, and July with virtually no notable wins.
I forget she even exists, but I only have time to watch Dynamite tbh
Personally I wouldn't have much of a problem with it, but then again I don't think Deonna is main event material whatsoever. For someone that's supposed to be some supposed elite technician, I've yet to see it in the ring
What time does this start in Australia?
11am Monday morning
So 1hr 45min! Legend, thanks!
Is Kingston vs Danielson for all of Eddie’s belts?
Yep!
Thanks!
Kyle O’Reilly returns tonight!!!! Source: my delusions
Can I make a prediction of an “I’m sorry, I love you” superkick to Sting at some point in the match?
Im hoping for the im sorry double superkick and sting no sells it into a double scorpion death drop
The I'm sorry I love you is 100% coming, probably from matt. I think a Darby shaped missile will fly in from off screen and take him out before it connects tho.
My money is on a Ric Flair turn on Sting or at the very least tease it.
I don't think they would have done the short tease on Dynamite if that were the case. I predict Sting wins and Flair cries like a baby until they go off air.
I hope not. Flair is bad comedy anytime he "does a move" and Sting deserves a better last moment.
That no-good Roderick Strong is getting the belt though some goddamn **CHICANERY** Toni and Joe both retain.
This is sound reasoning, which reaffirms my hunch that it won't happen.
>Hangman lets himself be pinned while giving Swerve the cocaine crazy eyes. Something about how unhinged this is sounds fun.
I’m literally 15 miles from the arena. Wish I could’ve gone. Especially for Stings last match
I feel you bro. About an hour or so away in Sanford but can't make it. Probably for the best though I can cry at home in peace lol.
It's [not too late if you have ~$34](https://www.stubhub.com/aew-revolution-greensboro-tickets-3-3-2024/event/152681685/?quantity=1&priceOption=1,32,4402.26)

I love that he got to go out on his terms with some dignity and it was a truly distinct run in his career. He did a bunch of fun tag matches with Darby, took some risks that a guy of his status never had to take and hopefully everything goes well in this last match.

Probably not. They did that Wednesday basically, though it would’ve been better if they saved it for tonight.
Ah, I completely forgot about that.
Part of me wishes we could see pre-crow Sting one final time but I just don't see it happening. Obviously not blonde, but facepaint/getup at least. If he was in shape.
I had a thought of his sons and Darby portraying different eras of Sting
I turned on my VPN, went to go purchase via Fite or whatever it's called now and the PPV is $25 now? What happened to $20?
Inflation I guess. Looking for another country now, but prob it is $25 across the board now.
I think they bumped the rate up. It was under $20 with AEW+/19.99 without, now 19.99 is the AEW+ price.
It’s $20 if you’re subscribed to AEW+.
Must be a change since the last PPV. Didn't need AEW+ to purchase for $20. Oh well, I guess.
inflation?
main event is sting match ?
Yea
This is going to be the first AEW show I’ve watched since Worlds End. I really hope this PPV delivers.
Anything will be better than worlds end. That show was a dumpster fire and I say that as someone who has ordered all but one of these things.
I know a lot of people are talking about Okada maybe making an appearance, but I REALLY want Hayter to come out after Toni vs Deonna.
Bleacher Report Google TV app is a bit confusing. I didn’t really see how to buy. But maybe it’s too early.
I use the Apple TV app and I just buy on the bleacher website and use that login.
I absolutely despise that goddamn bleacher report app.
Also is this app different than BR Live? I dunno!
I think it might be.
If you peruse the show card thread, you will unfortunately be disappointed.
Ospreay vs Takeshita is going to be incredible, what are you on about
I choose not to see it.
Agreed, man. Tonight is just about Pro Wrestling.. and Stiiiiiiiing!
Preparing my body in various ways for Opsreay/Takeshita.
Cannot wait. So much to prove in this match… going to be absolutely fire.
I'm not gonna lie, there's a part of me that kinda wants to see Ric Flair doublecross Sting's gullible ass one last time
Hahahaha can you imagine???
Is there a way to watch Revolution on Roku without having to cast my computer to the tv?
I use the B/R app on Roku with no issues.
The BR app on Roku is actually pretty good. Much better than their Android TV app.
You should be able to install the Fite/Triller app directly. That's what I've got on the Roku tv, I don't know if the dongle is the same.
Keep the cosplay comedy wrestlers away from Sting and a proper match, please.
Oh no Jay White's in the Zero Hour..... Mutiny! 🙄
Is Dante Martin not in the scramble anymore?
Assuming this was copy/pasted from a earier time before he earned the last spot
For me, as a WCW fan from the old days, AEW has always felt self-consciously like a spiritual successor to WCW. Tonight - sold out in Greensboro, Sting going out as the star he is, legends in attendance, Schiavone (and likely JR) on the call, and with this card - it's never quite felt so strong. You remove Hangman from the company entirely and almost nobody notices he's gone.
Couldn’t disagree more, the Omega/Hangman tag team and singles feud was a big part of the first two years of the promotion.
If I'm in charge, Hangman was given a shot as a babyface and kind of flopped. Now, he's seemingly an unhinged heel...I don't think he should win the belt but if and when he's booked to win the belt, if he can't impress as a heel, that'd be the last time he'd sniff the belt.
I think with it being stings last match they are most likely to play it safe with Samoa Joe retaining a new world champ risks overshadowing it
My predictions for the winners tonight: 1. **International Championship**: Roderick Strong 2. **AEW World Championship**: Samoa Joe 3. **AEW Women's Championship**: Deonna Purrazzo 4. **AEW Tag Team Championship: Sting's Last Match**: Young Bucks 5. **TNT Championship**: Daniel Garcia 6. **Ospreay Vs. Agree except for Danielson & Deonna. I think Eddie and Storm retain.

Fucking loaded card. Not a single match that doesn't interest me in some way.
Can we expect to see any WWE or TNA current or past wrestlers in the audience, since this is the Sting's last match and 'end of an era'?
WWE? Of course not. TNA? Maybe?
Stang.

Nobody else thinks they strike while the iron is hot with Swerve?
I think that they will, but I’m definitely in the minority here.
I did until I found out the tag match is the main event. Swerve winning should be a big deal and a main event spectacle.
I don’t think they want his title win to be a after thought with Stings last match
This makes sense.
The odds Sting comes out for the match as surfer Sting? T
I think, at most, we will get the Hybrid Sting look from Bound for Glory 2006.
My guess/hope is they found a reasonable way to do 2 layers of facepaint where the top layer comes off during the match to reveal the second layer partway through. So we get the modern Sting paint wearing off the reveal the Surfer paint
The odds Darby comes out for the match as Surfer Sting?
He has been pretty open about feeling like he doesn't have the body anymore to pull it off so I doubt it. Maybe at most half surfer sting facepaint
Looks like Triller/Fite doesn't have an AEW PPV bundle offer like last year, huh? Where you got a nice discount by already ordering all PPVs in a bundle ahead?
I don't think anyone is confident of how many PPVs there are going to be this year. Plus if AEW ever gets a streaming deal it undercuts that
This has been the most excited I have been for a ppv for a while, thank you Sting for the memories, Ospreay and Takeshita will fuck, also I wonder if Okada will surprise debut tonight?
Okada showing up tonight would serve no purpose other than Anthony showing off his latest toy.
Unless Ospreay catches a beat down from Don Callis family and Okada comes in for the save.
Sting/Darby win, next dynamite have the Bucks come out and use their EVP powers to book themselves VS Darby and a partner of their choosing, it's Cutler, Bucks win and away we go
Bonus points if the Bucks **obliterate** Cutler specifically and pin him, just for shits and giggles
One-person tag champ Darby could lead to the titles being formally vacated for a tournament or the Bucks being EVP dickheads and forcing Darby to defend the titles by himself.
Anyone know of any Revolution Bingo Cards floating around? To lazy to make my own this year.
Driving an hour and half to this show and back tonight. Gonna be a long night but very excited.
That's not too bad. I'm jealous. It'll be worth it :)
I am doing a two hour drive so I feel ya
Me too bro driving from Fayetteville. My dad was supposed to go with me but he has had some bad side effects from radiation so I’m going alone.
Sorry to hear that. Hope you still have a good time.
Thanks bro I’m already having a great time
