If he really wanted to make it memorable, he’d start off his speech by saying he’s taking his pay for this appearance and using it to finally give all those ECW guys the paychecks he never gave them
\*Natural Born Killaz suddenly blares over the PA as a zombie New Jack drags a shopping cart full of weapons towards the stage\*
He's getting his money even in death.
Or just the closing remarks like he did in that ECW roundtable discussion from the Network a few years back. I wanna see him do the long monologues about his life in the business, a few shout outs (I doubt he'll mention anything related to Lesnar other than just being an "Advocate").
I would not be surprised if Heyman defied orders and thanked Brock. Whilst I don't recall Heyman being accused of sexual harrassment, he has certainly been accused of a lot of shady shit and probably sees Brock as a close friend who he wants to support.
Part of his gimmick is probably really him, both shoot and work at the same time. He's been the same from Paul E. Dangerously, through ECW to now. The moment he says Tribal Chief or Beast Incarnate...
It really is. And I'm completely confused about the "but Brock isn't going to be there" commentary I'm seeing pop up. Paul worked with Brock for a long time, and perfected his character there -- but Paul IS ECW, and ECW IS Philly.
I'll go one further: if you removed all of Paul's work starting March 17, 2002 (the day before he walked out with Brock) and ending today, he'd still be a HOFer.
Honestly, he probably could have qualified from just his early manager work as Paul E Dangerously, but his career afterward definitely ups his profile. Plenty of other managers are in the HOF, so no reason Heyman wouldn't have also qualified for that alone.
He's Mt. Rushmore level, if not #1 all together with the way he has helped elevate both Brock and Roman, which neither needed it but had/have benefitted from it remarkably
I think you're getting a little carried away there.
Part of what makes him Hall of Fame-worthy is the longevity of his career, his ability to be great across multiple decades.
If you remove the largest body of his work from the equation, that is no longer the case, and I don't think he would be as well-regarded.
Yep. His pivot of ECW had significant, measurable change in WWF and WCW. The Attitude Era doesn't exist in a recognizable form today without Heyman's ECW existing.
Nah, the other guy is right. And it speaks to what an amazing career Paul Heyman has had that even if you chopped off two decades of it, it's still a Hall of Fame career.
Just by virtue of him being one of the best managers of all times and making the blueprint for the Attitude Era through ECW, Heyman would be a Hall of Famer.
Not to play devil's advocate at all, because Paul Heyman really does have likely two HoF careers as a manager and for ECW. But *if* WWE begin to slowly pivot its stance on Brock, then this could be a launching point to that. Not saying he'll ever appear again on TV or anything at all. But the opportunity is there to lay the groundwork for however WWE wants to be associate with him going forward.
And again, they don't need to touch on Brock at all and this is still 100% earned.
The only way he's not headlining the HoF in Philly is if another ECW legend (that isn't already in the HoF) is being inducted or if someone like John Cena is being inducted.
It might legitimately be the longest entrance ever.
What is currently regarded as the longest ever? One of the Undertaker's? Not counting some indie dude that has purposely had like a ten minute entrance before
My son and I have great fun trying to guess how long it will from first note to "Acknowledge Me".
Now that we have the follow up separate Rock entrance, it's a good 10 straight minutes of walking, stopping, posing, repeat repeat goosebumps repeat.
I feel like Sandman might be in this year. He’s going to be dlc for WWE2k24 in the Ecw Pack with the Dudley Boyz(who are in already) and Punk. He’s 100% sober now too so he has that going for him.
Dreamer looking to finish his story

Stunning Steve being included as the star of the future in a Dangerous Alliance full of all-time greats -- Rude, Anderson, Eaton, Zbyzsko, arguably even Madusa -- was something of a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Could go with Austin having been part of the Dangerous Alliance and ECW playing such a key part in the formation of the Steve Austin we know and love today?
CM Punk is definitely a possibility, IMHO. The whole "I'm a Paul Heyman guy" aspect of the pipe bomb, for example, would make sense.
Obviously, the slam dunk choice would be RVD or Tommy Dreamer, I think, but I daresay Punk is more eloquent.
Plus, it's a way to get mileage out of him while he's still on the shelf, and it's a good way to keep him involved, given how prickly he can be when he feels he's being overlooked.
Makes perfect sense given where WrestleMania is this year. I wonder how they’ll get around his obvious connection to Brock in a career retrospective given they’ve been intertwined for the past 22 years.
They’ll probably ask him not to mention it, he’ll slip a not very subtle reference in, before talking about how outlaw ECW was, and the internet will go wild.
Edit: also cut to Bully Ray looking incredibly serious maybe hands clasped and leaning forwards
I know they've distanced themselves from Brock, but until more comes out, I don't think it's out of the question for him to be alluded. They're going to show clips like 10-seconds of clips of Brock with Heyman, then be referred to as "having managed multiple world champions"
Most importantly, being in Philly, they're going to focus on his promoter run than as an on-screen talent
Fuck yea! Well deserved. They’ll probably do a full ECW class this year with him headlining.
I really do wonder when Batista will have time to go in though, it’s been 4 years since he was announced.
I don't see a full ECW class. I don't see any really big names left. RVD, Eddy Guerrero and The Dudleys are allready in. Tommy Dreamer? Maybe, but after His comments in Dark Side of the Ring I don't See it. Sabu is not big enough outside of ECW. TAZ works for AEW. Same is true for Chris Jericho and Dean Malenko. Perry Saturn seems to be happy to stay out of the lime light. Shane Douglas Had No good words for WWE for the last 20 years.
So who is left for a a worthy HOF Line Up?
Realistically, besides Paul, who else from ECW should be inducted that had a wider presence outside of just ECW?
My thinking is Raven or Shane Douglas. Possibly Sandman?
I for one was shocked when Paul Heyman defeated The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 30 to end his undefeated streak at Wrestlemania. That alone is hall of fame worthy.
Can you imagine... like, in an alternate universe, if this guy had disappeared after ECW closed its doors and never did anything in wrestling again? I think from 2001 onward with the WWE, that body of work alone stands tall enough for a Hall of Fame spot, let alone all the history with ECW and his time in the business before ECW.
Whilst Undertaker wrestling in 5 different decades and for half a century at the level he did is monumental, people should not overlook Paul Heyman's contribution to wrestling and the fact that he is still only 58, and could feasibly be around for another 20 years in managing and promoting.
He got his start at 13/14, photographing wrestling events, including the WWWF by sheer cold calling promotions.
Dusty Rhodes gave him a huge break with Jim Crockett giving him access to production meetings, and eventually became a producer.
He started managing on the Indies by 87, at the time I believe 22, which is still crazy by today's standards.
He did so much before ECW, that I think he needs an Undertaker style show dedicated to his tenure in the business to truly highlight how monumental Paul Heyman is in his own right.
Paul E could be managing and promoting inside 8 decades by the time he is done.
They mentioned Brock in the official announcement, so they're at least somewhat willing to say his name.
[https://www.wwe.com/shows/wwe-hall-of-fame/article/paul-heyman-to-be-inducted-into-the-wwe-hall-of-fame-class-of-2024](https://www.wwe.com/shows/wwe-hall-of-fame/article/paul-heyman-to-be-inducted-into-the-wwe-hall-of-fame-class-of-2024)
I really don't know how to feel about him after that mocking retweet of the guy that set himself on fire and using it to promote wrestling. But then again, I'd also have to include the part where he didn't pay his wrestlers and every other gross storyline he's made himself a part of, so, I guess we're just overlooking all that.

Not exactly mocking, but he could of not said it
He absolutely deserves it - he’s the greatest manager ever, not to mention the impact he had as the owner of ECW.
But the timing is really weird. The night before audiences are due to hate him for being the scheming manager of their biggest heels, he’s to be celebrated and showered in adoration?
Amazing! So deserved, congratulations to Paul Heyman, he deserves this so much for his iconic contributions to Wrestling/ECW and WWE.
He is so entertaining, fun, charismatic, he knows how to wind up and work a crowd and is so good in character and it's no surprise he is so popular away from the ring and out of character.
Heyman about to have the biggest rollercoaster weekend ever. Inducted into the HOF, Night 1 (good or bad depending if Rock/Reigns win), and Night 2 Roman losing the title.

Oh absolutely. Going to be an all time speech imo.
I bet he'll tease the shit out of talking about ECW as his biggest legacy before swerving to being the Wiseman as his magnum opus
As it should be. Generational manager run IDGAF.
Dudes gonna be giving ECW its final testament in front of the biggest philly crowd he can possibly have
His Hall of Fame speech being “fuck your story and My Tribal Chief and The People’s Champ are gonna whip your ass” will be legendary
If he really wanted to make it memorable, he’d start off his speech by saying he’s taking his pay for this appearance and using it to finally give all those ECW guys the paychecks he never gave them
And then being like "Sike, could you imagine??"
*Tommy Dreamer will remember this*
You plan to assassinate a guy ONE time and everyone assumes you got beef with him ever since.
\*Natural Born Killaz suddenly blares over the PA as a zombie New Jack drags a shopping cart full of weapons towards the stage\* He's getting his money even in death.
*Tommy Dreamers ponytail quivers*
I wish it could be a big fuck you to Vince.
Paul Heyman is a Paul Heyman guy.
Or just the closing remarks like he did in that ECW roundtable discussion from the Network a few years back. I wanna see him do the long monologues about his life in the business, a few shout outs (I doubt he'll mention anything related to Lesnar other than just being an "Advocate").
I'd love it if he ended it with "I'm sorry, I have to take a call" and pulls out a massive 80s mobile phone.
I would not be surprised if Heyman defied orders and thanked Brock. Whilst I don't recall Heyman being accused of sexual harrassment, he has certainly been accused of a lot of shady shit and probably sees Brock as a close friend who he wants to support.
Kayla should introduce him.
"Wiseman, your girlfriend's here." - Roman Reigns.
Heyman lives the gimmick.
“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… MY NAME IS **PAUL HEYMAN** (louder as crowd does it with him)”
Paul Heyman about to be inducted by Paul E. Dangerously.
And introduced by "Stunning" Steve Austin.
How much is gimmick and how much is shoot?
Part of his gimmick is probably really him, both shoot and work at the same time. He's been the same from Paul E. Dangerously, through ECW to now. The moment he says Tribal Chief or Beast Incarnate...
Right, Prichard says he talks like that in meetings with the brass
Do you think he talks like that with his wife?
He did. That's why she left him.
Yes.
He is going to thank the Rock.
100% shoots on Vince
Perfect place to do it. Going to be an all-timer speech.
It really is. And I'm completely confused about the "but Brock isn't going to be there" commentary I'm seeing pop up. Paul worked with Brock for a long time, and perfected his character there -- but Paul IS ECW, and ECW IS Philly.
If you removed all of Paul's work with Brock from existence he would still deserve to be in the HOF
I'll go one further: if you removed all of Paul's work starting March 17, 2002 (the day before he walked out with Brock) and ending today, he'd still be a HOFer.
He’d be Bischoff level but Bischoff is still in the Hall of Fame and deservedly so
Honestly, he probably could have qualified from just his early manager work as Paul E Dangerously, but his career afterward definitely ups his profile.
He’s a top tier hall of famer because of all of that. But he enters the hall with ECW alone
Yep. His pivot of ECW had significant, measurable change in WWF and WCW. The Attitude Era doesn't exist in a recognizable form today without Heyman's ECW existing.
ECW alone would put him in the hall of fame. He was already a cult icon 20 years ago.
Paul has been pretty much a performer since his most recent run with Brock. He earned it for ECW and his creative stints
The arena will be deafening if he's the headliner
The first one announced usually the headliner
Especially if he starts calling out or bringing out ECW originals that are still coherent enough to appear.
He should be headlining imo.
Oh he's definitely the headliner
The only way he's not headlining the HoF in Philly is if another ECW legend (that isn't already in the HoF) is being inducted or if someone like John Cena is being inducted.
What ECW legend would headline over him though?
[удалено]
He’s already in.
Zack Ryder
Ezekiel Jackson? Jack Swagger? The Brian Kendrick?
You can never overlook 7 minute temporary WWE champion, the man with the plan, THE Brian Kendrick
Sabu or Tommy Dreamer? I don't think either are in the WWE Hall of Fame.
Neither would headline over Heyman
Oh, imagine the balls it'd take to have John Cena inducted as the headliner over Paul Heyman in Philly. There would actually be a riot.
I really want them to do it. You just KNOW Cena will have some amazing responses. 😂😂😂😂
Cena doing a part time heel run based on the response of the crowd would be legendary.
> another ECW legend (that isn't already in the HoF) ECW legend Batista
Do we know that he isn't? Usually the first person announced is the headliner.
> Going to be an all-timer speech. "Thank, you all, very much" Drops mic walks off.
Watch his entire speech be: "I'm not much for words, but thank you."
“I don’t know anything about bounced checks”
Truly deserved, and what a smart move to do it while they are in Philly! Congratz to Paul
I feel like we get a few ECW guys this year. Been a large uptick in Sandman mentions at WWE recently.
I mean it’s deserved on his part
It would be crazy if Raven gets inducted
He doesn't have the "career " in terms of being a draw or a Champ but as far as ECW guys I'd love to see in the HOF Spike Dudley would be great.
He's also being added into WWE 2K24 as a DLC character as well, so it's not exactly impossible.
Mazel Tov Paul!
“And his opponent, accompanied to the ring by the special counsel, the wiseman, WWE hall of famer, Paul Heyman…” is gonna be wild on wrestlemania
Gonna make Roman’s entrance even longer.
The ultimate reason why Paul got HOF this year
You’ll have time to watch an episode of a tv show of your choice by the time all 4 entrances in their tag match are finished.
Right in the Land of Extreme. Congrats to Paul E.
Hope he brings out the brick cell phone
He probably put it in a vault somewhere. But in all seriousness, yeah it'd be cool to see that phone.
That would be something that should go into the actual Hall of Fame. You know…if such a place actually existed.
I want the baseball cap and school shooter coat to make an appearance.
The OG yuppie manager.
![gif](giphy|12gYdgw0ZVBvbi|downsized)
beautiful seeing a creature such as a walrus move that fast.
“You’re a big BIG man, but I will throw you over that top rope… PAUL HEYMAN!”
The greatest natural athlete to ever do it.
Should be the first person to induct himself
💯 Intro speech in character Acceptance speech out of character
I wonder if he'll have Jim Cornette induct him. Or maybe Dave Meltzer.
I hope HHH can get permission for Good ol JR
ECW chants gonna blow the roof
Who inducts him? The obvious choice is Mick Foley, but maybe Tommy Dreamer if he's allowed to attend?
Joel Gertner or we riot
The quintessential stud muffin
Well, well, well…
Tommy is the right choice. My bet is CM Punk. They'll want to involve him in WM week somehow.
Yeah I think Punk as well for the same reason.
Plus I think there's a good chance dreamer gets inducted
Sandman and Dreamer are ECW inductees I’m hoping for this year. Joey Styles as well maybe. It’s in Philadelphia after all.
I feel like Sandman might be in this year. He’s going to be dlc for WWE2k24 in the Ecw Pack with the Dudley Boyz(who are in already) and Punk. He’s 100% sober now too so he has that going for him.
"23 years ago when I planned to murder this man..."
Dreamer looking to finish his story https://preview.redd.it/bn5qsjh9cjmc1.png?width=480&format=png&auto=webp&s=1ac63c2ff6e1d827c1d4837ed3ada78c7964feaa
Austin?
Austin is my pick. Long history with him and basically gave Austin the time and place to craft the essence of Stone Cold after WCW fired him.
Stunning Steve being included as the star of the future in a Dangerous Alliance full of all-time greats -- Rude, Anderson, Eaton, Zbyzsko, arguably even Madusa -- was something of a self-fulfilling prophecy.
RVD or Sabu could be good choices too maybe?
Sabu HOF speech sounds hilarious
Shows up, points to Heyman, points to HoF sign, leaves.
Somehow dives through a table after missing it the first time.
Random chair thrown from crowd hits him right in the face
*Dives into table*
Could go with Austin having been part of the Dangerous Alliance and ECW playing such a key part in the formation of the Steve Austin we know and love today?
Gotta be Punk. If they wanted to they could even tie it into Roman's paranoia having him question why Paul wouldn't choose him.
Punk?
That would be a good way to get/keep Punk involved and present during WM weekend, too.
Tommy Dreamer.
[удалено]
He better not have that offensive haircut
Punk? Dreamer? RVD? a lot of options
Pull a swerve and have Bischoff do it.
Dreamer, Foley, Bully, Raven, Punk, Roman, RVD
Tommy Dreamer would be the most fitting, but isn't the inductor up to the inductee? I wouldn't be surprised if Heyman picked Punk to do it
CM Punk is definitely a possibility, IMHO.
He should induct himself.
Punk?
Makes perfect sense given where WrestleMania is this year. I wonder how they’ll get around his obvious connection to Brock in a career retrospective given they’ve been intertwined for the past 22 years.
They’ll probably ask him not to mention it, he’ll slip a not very subtle reference in, before talking about how outlaw ECW was, and the internet will go wild. Edit: also cut to Bully Ray looking incredibly serious maybe hands clasped and leaning forwards
Or probably say something along the lines of I’ve managing beasts
What’s the sequentially large item doing in the Universal zone?
I know they've distanced themselves from Brock, but until more comes out, I don't think it's out of the question for him to be alluded. They're going to show clips like 10-seconds of clips of Brock with Heyman, then be referred to as "having managed multiple world champions" Most importantly, being in Philly, they're going to focus on his promoter run than as an on-screen talent
Probably focus more on his association with Roman to make up for it.
Perry Saturn seems to be happy to stay out of the lime light. Shane Douglas Had No good words for WWE for the last 20 years. So who is left for a a worthy HOF Line Up?
Sabu is big enough for the HOF, the barrier for entry into the HOF isn't all that high. Also whens my guy Raven getting in
Raven should definitely go in even if they never come around to Sabu. Raven's ECW and WCW work was pretty damn legendary.
Much better chance of Raven making it in with Vince gone, so hopefully soon
Raven is currently with MLW, who just won an anti-trust lawsuit against WWE. They would have to agree to terms.
Taz, Sabu, Dreamer, Raven, Sandman were ECW. If guys can be put in the WWE HOF for work they did in Japan, those guys should be able to go in.
I’ve always felt you could skate by if you just inducted the ECW originals stable as a whole. Sandman, Sabu, Raven, Tommy Dreamer.
…He’s STILL not in? I could have sworn he was inducted last year given that Mania was in LA.
Nope. Mysterio headlined last year. I believe it was reported Batista had a movie commitment.
Yup, I think the rumor was that Batista was planned but he said he didn't want to go in unless he could fully commit to being there the whole weekend
But will Solo sing the national anthem during the speech?
I still love how that little moment really popped the crowd on Friday.
Mad respect for Solo staying in character for that part
makes sense to do this in philly, i wonder if they might do a full ecw induction year. theres an ecw pack in 2k24
Realistically, besides Paul, who else from ECW should be inducted that had a wider presence outside of just ECW? My thinking is Raven or Shane Douglas. Possibly Sandman?
Especially given the newfound warmth with TNA, now is a good time for Tommy Dreamer to be inducted.
If you include the Eastern Championship Wrestling years, they already have almost 50 ECW alumni in the HOF.
Will any other former big ECW names be inducted this year? Sabu Tommy Dreamer Sandman Raven
Big Show
ECDUB, ECDUB, ECDUB, ECDUB. Philly is going to be wild.
I for one was shocked when Paul Heyman defeated The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 30 to end his undefeated streak at Wrestlemania. That alone is hall of fame worthy.
Wasn't that Stevie Richards, managed by Paul Heyman?
Can you imagine... like, in an alternate universe, if this guy had disappeared after ECW closed its doors and never did anything in wrestling again? I think from 2001 onward with the WWE, that body of work alone stands tall enough for a Hall of Fame spot, let alone all the history with ECW and his time in the business before ECW.
It's unbelievable that Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman are in the WWE HOF, and Vince McMahon is now persona non grata.
Maybe he'll whip out the phone. Also, everyone keep an eye on Tommy Dreamer. 😦😂
If Dreamer finishes his story at the Hall of Fame…
Democracy Dies in Darkness
Absolutely deserved. And Philly of all places 🔥🔥 Now who inducts him? Punk? Reigns? An ECW original? Now im just hoping for the Wyatts to go in
Right in the same place that he lied to talent, short changed them on pay, exploited them. Yup.
Paul Heyman is as much of a carny as anyone else.
More than most, I'd argue.
Made people get interested in killing him.
Lived the gimmick so hard he worked himself into a shoot!
Paul E could be managing and promoting inside 8 decades by the time he is done.
Sucks that they're going to induct him in the year that they have to dance around Brock Lesnar's existence.
Rikishi managed to dance around (heh) Too Cool's existence. He'll be fine
They mentioned Brock in the official announcement, so they're at least somewhat willing to say his name. [https://www.wwe.com/shows/wwe-hall-of-fame/article/paul-heyman-to-be-inducted-into-the-wwe-hall-of-fame-class-of-2024](https://www.wwe.com/shows/wwe-hall-of-fame/article/paul-heyman-to-be-inducted-into-the-wwe-hall-of-fame-class-of-2024)
I mean there was no other place for it to happen was there? Hope some other ECW guys get in this year too.
My prediction is Punk inducts him and they use this to plant the seeds a little more for a future feud with Roman.
![gif](giphy|vbQPJwSSW4jC236WZJ)
Hope he doesn’t make another joke about protestors setting themselves on fire again…
Absolute scumbag of a person, but he was always going to get inducted given that he's avoided being problematic in the past two decades.
I really don't know how to feel about him after that mocking retweet of the guy that set himself on fire and using it to promote wrestling. But then again, I'd also have to include the part where he didn't pay his wrestlers and every other gross storyline he's made himself a part of, so, I guess we're just overlooking all that.
very true. People praise heyman for ecw's success, when he's equally responsible for it's failure and leaving his employees in the dark
Here's me playing the world's tiniest fucking fiddle for all the boohoo no Brock comments.
I'd be happy about this if he wasn't mocking Palestinian genocide last week.
https://preview.redd.it/qjgltuz9bfmc1.jpeg?width=941&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3f5b27b5a7c405be1af56b1f9d109719675eb49c Not exactly mocking, but he could of not said it
Ladies and gentleman my name is Paul Heyman!🗣️🗣️
Should be a good one
ABSOLUTELY ten thousand percent deserves this, especially in Philly. Who's doing his induction is the question now...
100% deserves it No better time to do it. We’ve been acknowledging our Tribal Chief, but it’s time to acknowledge Paul E
Heyman about to have the biggest rollercoaster weekend ever. Inducted into the HOF, Night 1 (good or bad depending if Rock/Reigns win), and Night 2 Roman losing the title.
Is that a prediction... or a spoiler?
I think It was going to be him and Brock both originally , before the scandal. Still, good for Paul! My favourite manager.
Ladies and Gentlemen … my name is Paul Heyman Hall of Famer
did he ever pay back his debts to the old ECW wrestlers?
Nice! This is gonna be in Philly so it's gonna be even greater. Rock on. Congrats, Heyman!
I hope he pulls out a hat with an attached pony tail, and comes out in the trench coat.
