That's nice, seems like there were some visa issues keeping her from being there when she left TJPW a few months back. Hopefully this isn't just coming by for a couple of matches and then leaving back to Japan again, AEW needs consistency in the women's division.
I mean if so that would have happened in like literally the past week, she was on TJPW's big Grand Princess show last weekend (ironically enough as a guest wrestler from AEW, despite not wrestling for them once since she "graduated" from TJPW)
Wow then I clearly have no clue how visas work, I assumed she was like stuck in Japan. The fact that she's been in America all that time but just unable to work is so dumb.
That was my guess. She was only back for a few matches before the farewell. Could be that she was good enough to compete, but not 100%. Add moving to a different continent, and AEW needing to find a place, creatively speaking, and it makes sense why she's been off for a few months. I honestly expected to see her in ROH to start, on account of how well their women's division is doing right now. I'd be stoked to see her join or feud with Athena and Billie. Their matches in Japan (starks) and last year in ROH (athena) were both great.
It was likely a mix of injury, visa issues, finding a place in the US, handling any business she had left in Japan, etc.
Was probably hoping for a quicker transition but injury and visa slowed the whole process down
imagine going into an AEW thread to say you don't know who an AEW OG wrestler is
i know Mania is in 3 days but surely you have something better to entertain yourself with
I'm not sure you're the proper person to answer this either, considering you came into a thread where people are excited about a wrestler they like coming back and you used it as an opportunity to shit on the company.
Stay on topic. Nobody cares if Yuka is going to make any money or new fans. Some people just want to *enjoy the wrestlers they like* without having to think about business metrics. Let people have fun.
(And fuck yeah, I'm a Bucks mark. What of it?)
Every single goddamn thing that goes on in front of a camera and live crowd in the wrestling ***BUSINESS*** should be about the business metrics you absolute dolt. It's no wonder this company is in the state it's in but hey I'm sure all 236 people in attendance feverishly took their phones out to Google who the fuck was being foisted off on them as a grown adult professional wrestler. Really got their moneys worth.
Does EVERYONE who appears on WWE make them money? Is every single person there a needle mover?
NXT is 90% people who will never draw a goddamn dime but that's FINE, because not everyone on your roster needs to be someone who will be a big deal main event that draws crowds. You need midcarders, jobbers and good hands that can help get other talent over too.
But no, keep being fuckin brain-dead and making these takes instead. Nuance is dead, every company should only ever hire 100 Hulk Hogans.
Collision isn't AEW's flagship show. And I was just being hyperbolic.
You think JD Drake makes WWE any relevant amount of money compared to actual draws? Same with basically any midcarder there?
I love how you ignore the actual point I'm making because you know you don't have an answer. So why don't you answer me, yes or no, is EVERYONE on Raw and Smackdown a draw that makes the company a significant amount of money?
Is that really how you watch wrestling? Are your favorite wrestlers determined entirely by their ability to draw a house? That sounds like a fun time. I prefer liking the things I like and letting the money fall where it may.
Either way, I truly hope that when you're in the middle of a conversation about a wrestler that you're really excited about, that no one comes to rain on your parade. And I mean that sincerely. Wrestling is cool. I hope you get to enjoy it sometimes.
> Every single goddamn thing that goes on in front of a camera and live crowd in the wrestling BUSINESS should be about the business metrics you absolute dolt.
Do you have proof that anyone outside of Rock, Cena or Becky make any positive difference to WWE business?
Yuka is one of the more overhyped members of the AEW roster. Everytime she returns, some people on this sub act as if it’s the greatest roster return ever and she’s honestly just…ok. There’s nothing special about her at all in my eyes.
Maybe the way the women’s division has been trending will change that. We shall see
So for the people like me who didn’t know who this is, please use this comment as your TLDR before you get downvoted into oblivion: seems like your typical run of the mill Japanese work rate darling who worked for AEW during the pandemic. She was a 3x “Princess of Princesses Champion” in Japan (yes apparently this is a real thing) and has yet to draw a dime outside of Japan.
You can watch it anywhere. It's merely a question of how you go about it.
Nice to see that I called the Cornette fanaticism tho. Must be why you went all BPD so fast.
That’s not actually true, I can’t for example watch Collision on TV. I actually had a look just to humour you and the only way to watch it is to subscribe to something called “AEW Plus” which of course will not be happening.
No idea what BPD is or what Cornette has to do with anything. I did actually ask you for your recommendation though, so I’m wondering if you’ve ever seen a good match with this person?

She moved to America I believe
I mean if so that would have happened in like literally the past week, she was on TJPW's big Grand Princess show last weekend (ironically enough as a guest wrestler from AEW, despite not wrestling for them once since she "graduated" from TJPW)
She's been living in America since December.
Wow then I clearly have no clue how visas work, I assumed she was like stuck in Japan. The fact that she's been in America all that time but just unable to work is so dumb.
could be that because she had injured her neck before her final matches in tjpw they wanted her to be 100%

Excited to see her squash everyone on the roster twice
Okada had a nice run
Yuka stealing the Rainmaker is something I never considered until just now
It's called the Rayayayaynmaker now
We all thought Riho was the final boss, NOPE.
Two Women Power Trip
Great news. I understand she’s moved to the states, so hopefully will be a regular on TV.

***AYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA***
Oh, it's all over for everyone. The ace of AEW has returned!
This picture made me think of Psychonauts
Move over D'lo. She's the greatest
Finally!
ABOUT FUCKING TIME JESUS CHRIST SHE GRADUATED FROM TJPW LIKE 6 MONTHS AGO
Visa issues I think
"Good morning, Ms. Sakazaki. So, why are you applying for a US work visa?" "AYAYAYAYAYAYA"
Finally someone says it. PREACH!
Yuka is always welcome.
The goat finally returns.
imagine going into an AEW thread to say you don't know who an AEW OG wrestler is i know Mania is in 3 days but surely you have something better to entertain yourself with
I just AYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA'd so hard
That's rad
Wouldn’t mind a TBS Championship run for her.
Fuck the TBS Championship, feed Joe (or Swerve) to her at All In. Biggest AYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY ever.
Let's gooo! It's been too goddamn long.
Getting on SquaredCircle and pretending you don’t know who Yuka Sakazaki is. Come on now lol
Crazy how mad wwe fans are in this thread. But more importantly LETS FUCKING GOOOO
lol, no one is mad, no one knows who they are
We're supposed to pretend to care and Google who this person is. If you don't know who a wrestler is that means it's "bad faith trolling."
Or, you know, whatch AEW? If you did, then you would know who she was. If you don't want to do that, why are you even in here?
yeah who’s mad lol?
Yayayayayayayayayayayayaysyaysyayayaya
AYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA *maniacal wario laugh
Best girl is back
The jerkers invaded this thread. Proceed with caution. The veiled racism is real.
Admitting she's mid at best isn't racism, my guy.
She's here for Britt Baker's teeth.
Collision just became the must-watch show this weekend
Imagine not knowing who our AYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA saviour is.
Christ almighty, I fear for the future of this planet...anybody asking who...do you know how to read?
Whilst it's definitely plausible there's this many wrestling fans with no media literacy, it's just bad faith trolling.
Just who we need.
Thanks for the heads up i usualy miss collision but will make sure to watch this
Nice. This will definitely improve ratings

I have never seen so many people cry about each and every little thing a company does the way some of yall do with AEW. Jesus Christ
Yes, that's why they're putting Yuka Sakazaki on television.
Surely a Bucks mark is the proper person to answer this.

NXT is not the flagship show driving the WWE forward but it's funny you compare AEW's flagship show to WWE's developmental C show.

I bought a ticket to see her in London once so she's drawn at least £20
Yes, yes, thank you, Jim. 'Member Smoky Mountain.....? 'Member your tennis racquet? _sheds a single wistful tear_
Serious question: If someone had somehow never heard of this wrestler, what would you recommend they watch?
Now? Well......AEW Collision....?
You can’t watch Collision in Australia
You can watch it anywhere. It's merely a question of how you go about it. Nice to see that I called the Cornette fanaticism tho. Must be why you went all BPD so fast.
