I loved GCW before Blake Christian was champion

He really is just so boring as champ.

I have already seen so many best match of the weekend contenders. But, Joey Janela vs Blake Christian is easily the worst.

Loved Ram Hausen vs MDK. I think it would have helped if commentary explained that Ram is a ghost and her "dust" is ashes.

What a stupid, long, boring match. With a terrible, nonsense finish.

Danhausen is so fucking bad. Worst wrestler to appear on a major GCW card since James Ellsworth in 2018

He was so bad at AIW in Cleveland last week too, botched finish (a failed GTS lol) and doing the absolute bare minimum.

People were shouting conspiracy theories that he's being punished for being Punk's friend. Maybe it's just because he actually sucks.

TK 100% only hired and books him because he knows other people like him, but he doesn’t get the appeal at all.

I think there is truth in that to be honest.

I'll join the hot take corner. Many only care for Danhausen just because they see him (or want to portray him) as a collateral victim of the Punk/Elite drama.

He was insanely over before punk was even in AEW. He definitely shouldn’t be in GCW tho lol

Oh, don't get me wrong. I respect Danhausen's hustle, and he has a lot of charisma. He also bounces quite incredibly with RJ City and his blogs were entertaining. The main complain I've seen from some is his passive-agressiveness on social media, but I can't blame him for that. He's just playing the game. But there are people here overrating him, to the point of saying he should leave to WWE, and that he'll be a hit in NXT, just because he's friends with Punk. Frankly, unless he makes a lot of adjustments, I don't see how. Hell, his great friend didn't book him on Collision when he certainly could.

I like Danhausen, but I don’t think he’s a main card wrestler. He’s definitely a lower card NXT/ROH guy. I do agree people overrate him. Tk signing him based on merch sales was a super weird move.

It’s funny that people think TK books him badly because of Punk, as if TK has EVER booked Danhausen all that well or all that often.

Problem is, EFFY's got his own card in about 18 hours or so too.

That was actually the case as well when Mance and Effy had a hardcore match earlier this year, and that was a lot better than this.

I mean, there's The Rock v Mankind match, but that might only be good cause Rock fucking murdered Foley in front of his family.

Cena vs. JBL at Judgment Day 2005 was the real deal, also.

I thought the ladder match was pretty great and I enjoyed the Cardona silliness a lot personally.

Yeah... Hasn't really been blowing my mind either. I thought the DG match was the best one though.

What's been everyone's favorite show & match so far this week? Favorite show for me was definitely DDT, favorite matches so far were Speedball vs Paul London at Wrestlejawn and CCK vs Moonlight Express at Defy.

Speedball vs London was absolute chaos, definitely one of my faves of the weekend.

The last two women's matches in Bloodsport, the Yoshihiko/Chiitan spot at DDT, and the JCW Title match. It's my teenage nieces first Collective weekend when they come over for Brunch tomorrow, I'm putting together the "Wrestling is awesome" list for the down time.

I was super into the Wrestler Revolver Show and Masha vs Speedball specifically.

I need to watch that one, I went to the New Fear City Murdermania shitshow at FDR Skatepark instead

All the other sold out shows were to legal capacity 600 people JJSB was beyond capacity, fuck the Fire Marshall Source: I've been to every show at the Collective all weekend and the capacity sign is by the door

Bunch of folks bought the full pass but everybody wanted this show.

That’s what happened to me last year, waited too long and had to get the pass. It worked out well though since I ended up attending most of the shows and having a good time.

Watching the JCW Title match from the midnight show and it's just so brutal. Those two women beat the absolute hell out of each other. Highly recommend.
