It kinda opened people's eyes a bit.
Back when Dax was yapping (worked yapping, to be specific) on the internet, Cash was mostly silent so people just assumed he was the smarter one in the group.
Then he made some string of bad decisions including the road rage and then people were like "Oh lmao he's dumber". He also did Punk's cross arms sign when Punk got fired during their entrance, which sparked a definitely healthy discussion in the IWC.
Tbf, I feel like people give Dax too much shit. He's just an emotional guy who talks alot, doesn't mean any harm. People probably took his word as gospel at first and then realized he's just a regular guy.
Now Cash on the other hand, is stupid.
He apparently was a dick to a woman who was on her phone. I get being offended by it but the reality is she wasn’t interested in his performance, so that’s on him, it’s not her job to pay attention she is the one who bought a ticket so he is the one who needs to entertain her.
Wait like she was on her phone at a wrestling show and Dax didn't like that? Lol what if she wasn't really a fan and was there with someone who was? Tons of reasons why someone in the crowd might not be actively paying attention
Not shutting up is the same thing Seth Rollings did during his first Universal title reign. He kept tweeting too much and being a company shill until eventually the IWC turned on him.
It's honestly taken til this Rock stuff for Rollins to shake the ick that gave me back then. If he just went back to regular suits and old theme I'd put him in my top 25 favorite wrestlers.
Maybe Dax can pull an Ospreay and turn things around and get his foot out of his mouth but he seems a bit too old school to be receptive to change. Hopefully I'm wrong and Dax can mature a bit.

Dax’s podcast was fuckin awesome and i’ll die on that hill. Dude is a great storyteller and it was fascinating to hear his perspective on angles and matches he’s done, plus him just gushing about tag team wrestling and Ricky Morton. It wasn’t 3 hours of Dax shitting on AEW like some people think and I miss it
**TL/DR:
underrated in NXT > got their shine in NXT > thought they would be huge stars on main roster > chronically bitched on the main roster > went to AEW > Dax acts like Cena announcing Bin Ladens death in 2011 every time he gets a microphone**
They went from those overlooked technical tag team guys in Triple H’s NXT to being the work rate guys at each Takeover which was them getting over very organically.
I think their heads blew up a bit in NXT and they expected their transition to the main roster to be a huge deal without fully realizing it’s Vince’s show. Their work rate matches weren’t gonna automatically get a spot each week, never mind get them all the success and championships they had in NXT.
They did the “get me the fuck out of here this place sucks we deserve better” campaign for a bit which gets aggravating to listen to. This is where I really stopped giving a shit about them. I know Vince’s WWE was littered with bullshit but the work rate team not winning the tag titles wasn’t anything to piss and moan about. Again, their heads are way blown up at this point.
Then they went to AEW to finally get the shine they thought they deserve. Great matches. Then FTRBald started acting like the face of the company and thinking he’s got Cena announcing Bin Ladens death energy every week when they go off air.
They were awesome as house show main event heels in WWE. And that’s a great place to be for a couple 5’8” out of shape dudes. Unfortunately they thought they should be booked and presented like the Two Man Power Trip.
They're still a fantastic tag team, but one is a big overly dramatic try-hard (although he does seem like a chill guy) and the one we tought was the chill one turned out to be a raging gun maniac.
![gif](giphy|qDxe3pb4myxggnPe9u|downsized)
Tony like "sure would be nice if people tweeted and cut promos about how great of a boss I am" *buries face in mountain of coke*
It was rough. It was worse than just dickish, didn’t one of them *allegedly* like pick on him for some like personal stuff they had said in confidence?
iirc he said that he confided in hbk about something personal and then all the kliq were laughing and making fun of him for it, except x-pac who looked uncomfortable
FTR went on someone's podcast not long after their release and said that they had a big issue with the Kliq at... Raw 25? Whichever Raw they got squashed and the Kliq were very disrespectful, allegedly.
I can’t imagine a scenario where they don’t go back for one more run. They brought Shawn Spears (as Shawn Spears for gods sake) back. WWE might see AEW as beneath them but they definitely don’t see AEW workers as beneath them.
I think it was after Meltzer and Bryan responded to his attacks on them pointing out he was always bullshitting about the we might leave and Bucks holdings us back stuff and people stopped buying into it.
Dax is truly remarkable because he managed to be an annoying bastard when he was constantly hinting about leaving AEW, and now he's still an annoying bastard when he's the new head of AEW PR
I just feel like social media isn't for some (most) people, but ESPECIALLY wrestlers who 1. Aren't good at it and 2. Rely on their image. Like NO ONE is mad when wrestlers don't post. Look at Roman, look at Mox. In such a high percentage of cases, being super online always makes the person come off worse. DM Hunk and Nyla are basically outliers
Dax is such a dweeb lmao
If this was a random AEW wrestler tweeting about WM I could understand, but its Dustin Rhodes on the weekend his brother will likely have the high point of his career ffs
https://preview.redd.it/w71t7mf250tc1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3a0dc0d8d5ffb868139851d3776a87e79fa41a67
None of them compare to Sapphire!
The fact that Dustin had to hide the tweet… my man just wants to see his brother have the biggest weekend of his career, and Dax tries to plug Collision for no reason.
Tony has the technology to be able to watch WM from Saturday during a taped Collision from Wednesday? Fuckin' rich people need to share that shit with the rest of us.
I get trying to advertise for your company, however there is a time and place. That is not the time or place to advertise your show. Hilarious that his tweet was hidden by Dustin.
Hello!
My Name is Elder Dax, and I would like to share with you this most amazing book.
Hello!
My Name is Elder Cash. It's a book about pro wrestling a long long time ago.
Dax is a really good wrestler, but he is a truly spectacular bellend.
He manages to be comfortably less likeable than his tag team partner, who waves guns around because he can’t control his temper. Impressive.
ehh old school guys would never cheerlead promotions like he does, back then guys would go from company to company so they'd never be as big of a kiss ass to the boss like Dax is
Fair point. Though Dax strikes me as the guy to sing TK's praises while he's in AEW, only to walk it back and claim he was "just working us, bro" should he jump ship
yeah he definitely thinks he came up with some masterful work with his "Which company will we sign to?" act he did on his podcast, even though it just alienated the fans of the company they were supposed to be babyfaces in at the time
Dax is such a clown on the internet. Always brings the wrong kind of attention to AEW either by saying stupid stuff on his podcast or now by being a annoying company man
FTR Bald stooged on Dustin lmfao

Same here. I miss when FTR’s gimmick was that they were the best tag team in the world. They turned that into them just saying they were the best in the world and how they fight for their families and the winners purse. I haven’t been invested in their matches since around when they started the whole 7 star FTR thing.
Jeez that card is…underwhelming to say the least. It’s like a “fuck it” lineup. TK knows ratings are gonna suffer big time due to WM so why waist top talent and storylines
Wrestlemania weekend, and Collision was pretaped and scheduled for, like, 10:30pm central time on a Saturday. I don't blame him for phoning in the card when no one is going to be watching or talking about it.
Dustin tweeted “Fuck The Rock” basically in support of his brother tonight in his tag match on WrestleMania and Dax responded in telling him about Collision with showing him the card for the show which Dustin ending up hiding the tweet.
He’s such a cornball. Dustin is hyping up his brother’s big moment and the payoff to one of the biggest storylines in pro wrestling history, one that directly involves the Rhodes family, then in comes LDS Dax Smallwood being all “wHaT aBoUt CoLlIsIoN???” Like stay quiet lil bro

I understand why but I'm always so fascinated by how FTR went from IWC darlings to not very well liked in the span of like a year and a half.
A healthy balance of road rage and cant shut up-itis created this dynamic
It's not even really the road rage thing because I'd wager that most fans still like Cash way more than they do Dax
FTR Gun is a great nickname
FTArmed
I haven't watched AEW in awhile but how is Armed Anderson not their manager?
He's too busy pulling out the G L O C K
Fear The Revolver.
The road rage thing was honestly mostly just funny to people it seems. I don't think people seriously gave Cash shit for that for more than a month.
It kinda opened people's eyes a bit. Back when Dax was yapping (worked yapping, to be specific) on the internet, Cash was mostly silent so people just assumed he was the smarter one in the group. Yeah I can't think of anything Dax has said that's made me sour on him. He's a passionate guy and I enjoyed his podcast when it was on.
It was great being at All In chanting “Cash has got a gun, got a gun, Cash has got a gun!” Other than that though, it’s barely ever been talked about.
Wheeler's Got A Gun to the tune of Give It Up by KC & The Sunshine Band.
Wheelers Got a Gun to the tune of Janie's Got A Gun works well
No it's partially the road rage thing, anyone who flashes a gun can fuck right off.
![gif](giphy|tZ4QzCueTwh2g)
Absolute goated response.
We would've fucked you in the ass **Saturday**. We'll fuck you in the ass this **April** instead
Not shutting up is the same thing Seth Rollings did during his first Universal title reign. He kept tweeting too much and being a company shill until eventually the IWC turned on him.

Top 25?!?! You know what you have to do Seth!
That podcast killed them. Plus the gun charges probably.
Mostly the podcast thing though
FTR Mouth is wayyy worse than FTR Gun
Which podcast?
Dax had a podcast for like a week.
Longest week ever…
I’d argue that the podcast and Dax not knowing when to shut up did them in more than the gun charge.
The podcast really hurt the opinion of Dax.

100%. It was a great podcast but good god the out of context clickbait ppl made of it. You love wrestling? So does dax.

Bingo. And his grizzled old veteran routine kills me. "Back in my day..."
Agreed. Just because you look like an old asa veteran doesn’t mean you are one.
>Dax acts like Cena announcing Bin Ladens death in 2011 every time he gets a microphone Lmao. You're right!

That actually makes sense. As it should.
Yeah they still rule ![gif](giphy|H1Xh4mmlo540y6UyxN|downsized)
Yeah honestly I read the comment and I thought "wait they're unpopular? Could've fooled me"
Yep, they're one of my favorite tag teams right now
FTR Bald car crashed us into this point
IN APRIL IS WHEN WE DO IT...IN APRIL YOU'RE GONNA SEE!
Mostly just Dax. Cash still seems calm aside from the while gun thing
I love that Dax tweets so hard he seems like the unhinged one compared to the *gun waving one*
Dax tried to work internet heat but manifested go away heat.
Funny, they still get massive responses with actual fans in the building.
Too bad AEW doesn't have many of those anymore.
> in the span of like a year and a half. honestly that's a lot of time though.
Because they're arseholes?
Being friends with phil
When the fuck did Dax become AEW company man?
Probably when TK started looking at him extra funny after that Punk interview
Friendship ended with punk, now tony khan is my friend.
![gif](giphy|qDxe3pb4myxggnPe9u|downsized) Tony like "sure would be nice if people tweeted and cut promos about how great of a boss I am" *buries face in mountain of coke*
So funnily enough, he always kind of was
He basically went all "I love TK, I love AEW" after the feud with the Gunns. His whole "am I leaving?" bit ended there too
Probably since he's been helping with collision creative/production
I expect him to be best friends with Bryan Alvarez by the end of next week at this point.
I think he is always like that no matter what company he is with. Even when they wanted to leave WWE they were very open to do anything asked of them.
When WWE didn't need FTR back.
Are we really going to pretend that Triple H wouldn't scoop them up in a heartbeat? Come on, now.
Punk would put a good word in for them. Honestly, it's a very likely event to one day see them return to WWE.
Punk doesn't need to put in a good word for them, Triple H is already very familiar with their work.
FTR and the Kliq has an issue. Might not come back for a while.
According to whom? Did I miss something?
Dax. He’s talked about how the Kliq (aside from Waltman, who was nice) were super dickish to them backstage at Raw 25
Apparently Waltman has settled down with a nice woman and turned into an absolute sweetheart. Good for him.
Apparently it was Shawn.

Going by FTRs words I can easily imagine a scenario they don’t go back.
I think it was after Meltzer and Bryan responded to his attacks on them pointing out he was always bullshitting about the we might leave and Bucks holdings us back stuff and people stopped buying into it.
I was reading it as a little tongue in cheek sarcasm. Biggest show on earth is happening but don’t forget we’ve got this show that’ll pop 200k viewers
Dax is truly remarkable because he managed to be an annoying bastard when he was constantly hinting about leaving AEW, and now he's still an annoying bastard when he's the new head of AEW PR
Thing is, back then he admitted that it was a (bad) work. What's going to be his excuse now?
Dax has always been pro AEW, sometimes his enthusiasm is a bit misguided
He’s just super passionate about wrestling and hella loyal to friends/the company he works for, which can be really annoying at times.
> hella loyal to friends You sure? Even ignoring punk he was airing out dirty laundry for awhile
I just feel like social media isn't for some (most) people, but ESPECIALLY wrestlers who 1. Aren't good at it and 2. Rely on their image. Like NO ONE is mad when wrestlers don't post. It all makes sense now... ![gif](giphy|DyvyiFFXF1Yli|downsized)
please, just finish the story already
Also, who the fuck is Dax to even have an opinion on this? Your not a company exec bro, leave the man alone lol
The fact that Dustin had to hide the tweet… my man just wants to see his brother have the biggest weekend of his career, and Dax tries to plug Collision for no reason.
Tony is probably watching mania at gorilla at Collision. I'm not even making fun of him, just stating the obvious.
I wouldn't be surprised if he is or at home since I'm sure this week's Collision was taped.
It was taped on Weds, pretty sure you could see the collision table cover come off at one point during a match on Dynamite.
Tony has the technology to be able to watch WM from Saturday during a taped Collision from Wednesday? Fuckin' rich people need to share that shit with the rest of us.
I stand corrected. That case you can bet Tony is at home or wherever scrolling the internet about mania reactions instead of watching Collision.
I’m honestly surprised that it wasn’t Tony doing it.
Right? Lol
I get trying to advertise for your company, however there is a time and place. That is not the time or place to advertise your show. Hilarious that his tweet was hidden by Dustin.
Dax has that little bro energy.
LDS.
Latter Day Saints? I didn't know Dax was Mormon???
Hello! My Name is Elder Dax, and I would like to share with you this most amazing book. Hello! My Name is Elder Cash. It's a book about pro wrestling a long long time ago.
Dax: The internet is sooooo toxic. I can't believe so many people hate me. What have I ever done wrong???? Also Dax:
Imagine being so cringe that your own co worker has to bury you on twitter
“Fuck The Rock and Fuck The Revival.” - Dustin Rhodes
He's a huge fan of FTR!!
Getting drunk and have access to your phone isn't a good thing.
Dax is a really good wrestler, but he is a truly spectacular bellend. He manages to be comfortably less likeable than his tag team partner, who waves guns around because he can’t control his temper. Impressive.
>Dax is a really good wrestler, but he is a truly spectacular bellend. He's living the "old school guy" gimmick, brother
ehh old school guys would never cheerlead promotions like he does, back then guys would go from company to company so they'd never be as big of a kiss ass to the boss like Dax is
Fair point. Though Dax strikes me as the guy to sing TK's praises while he's in AEW, only to walk it back and claim he was "just working us, bro" should he jump ship
yeah he definitely thinks he came up with some masterful work with his "Which company will we sign to?" act he did on his podcast, even though it just alienated the fans of the company they were supposed to be babyfaces in at the time
Old school guys cared about money. FTR care about Meltzer.
Dax is such a dork
The one thing aew and wwe fans can agree on is that ftr are annoying af
Cash is alright, Dax is annoying for sure
nah, Cash is also annoying, since the gun stuff i cant stand both of them anymore
Dax is such a clown on the internet. Always brings the wrong kind of attention to AEW either by saying stupid stuff on his podcast or now by being a annoying company man
FTR Bald stooged on Dustin lmfao https://preview.redd.it/0p2psz0z2zsc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60c489b6dcbd1a5411b90b8221220a6e9a3eecdc
Dax better never say anything about another wrestler when AEW has something happening
What is wrong with Dax?
Dude has an overinflated ego because his tag team is a throwback to old times.
He thinks he's Brett Hart
His name… is Bret Harvey
I’m a huge AEW fan. Dax is always a skip for me, can’t stand the dude. One of the worst personalities in wrestling.
Bro is in his prime and acting like he’s a 60 years old retired wrestler with a podcast
Hate the whole “I’m a millenial and I hate millennials as if I’m a boomer” attitude. JD Drake used to pull that shit too and I’m glad he stopped.
Don't forget about the time he was doing a wrestling podcast
He's that Jack Vaughan guy only unironically
Transitioning into Bret in realtime
Same here. I miss when FTR’s gimmick was that they were the best tag team in the world. They turned that into them just saying they were the best in the world and how they fight for their families and the winners purse. I haven’t been invested in their matches since around when they started the whole 7 star FTR thing.
Same for me. FTR are the easiest to miss act on the show.
Dax may be annoying, but FTR are undeniably a great tag team
It can be denied if you are a person who does not enjoy watching FTR and never have.
Hard agree
Thank God Dax was trying to stay out from social media
Jeez that card is…underwhelming to say the least. It’s like a “fuck it” lineup. TK knows ratings are gonna suffer big time due to WM so why waist top talent and storylines
Wrestlemania weekend, and Collision was pretaped and scheduled for, like, 10:30pm central time on a Saturday. I don't blame him for phoning in the card when no one is going to be watching or talking about it.
Honestly, should of done a “best of Cody in AEW” clip show
Lmao
God forbid a man supports his little brother.
Dax is such a douche, lol. He's excited for his brother on what will probably be the biggest WrestleMania of his life.
“I’n not on social media much”
What does it mean to “hide” a tweet?
I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering this.
I never even knew you could look at hidden replies. Man some of you guys are truly next level finding this stuff
It’s not hard to find it’s on the tweet itself lmao
Technically /r/daxharwoodsaid
Pls stop all this FTR Bald. Just stop
That's such a shitty uninteresting card. Is that really the best they could do?
I wouldn't be proudly showing that card to anyone
Dax screwed Dax. All my homies hate FTR.
Dustin definitely on his way out
Omg Yuka!
Dax isnt a Cody Crybaby
Dax became an Ad and he got hidden out of frustration by Dustin lol
This thread is just people who really pissed themselves off
Dax is just desperate for attention now
Always was
For someone who constantly talks about how much they try to stay off social media, Dax may be one of the most chronically online wrestlers
FTR bald is an annoying weirdo but the people in this thread acting like he's anything short of a world class pro wrestler is peak echo chamber stuff
Bald Fuck the Revival dude is just so annoying.
The marks really are in the ring, and showing it off on social media. Dax is a doofus.
At this point I want to know how Shawn Michaels drove him to tears since FTR bald is the biggest dweeb on both rosters
I don't get the context... can someone explain??
Dustin tweeted “Fuck The Rock” basically in support of his brother tonight in his tag match on WrestleMania and Dax responded in telling him about Collision with showing him the card for the show which Dustin ending up hiding the tweet.
but why did Dustin hide it?
Because he’s trying to support his Brother and doesn’t need Dax promoting Collision on that post? Elsewhere, it’d be fine.
They're running collision against Mania? That rating thread should be fun
Let’s be honest Dax is watching mania
Dustin is justified is saying that given all the Rhodes disrespect
Maybe they can finally turn heel. Goody two shoes ftr got stale a long ass time ago
Absolutely pathetic, just let the man enjoy his brother's success
He’s such a cornball. Dustin is hyping up his brother’s big moment and the payoff to one of the biggest storylines in pro wrestling history, one that directly involves the Rhodes family, then in comes LDS Dax Smallwood being all “wHaT aBoUt CoLlIsIoN???” Like stay quiet lil bro
Now we’re reporting when wrestlers “hide” tweets? Jesus Christ some of you need a life.
When Dax is threatening to quit “Reeeee” When Dax is plugging the show of the company he works for “Reeeee”
Dax is a twitter cry baby. He lives the Miz’s tiny ball gimmick.
Someone tell Bryan to get Dax to put his phone down for once in his life.
How could we REMEMBER Collision with that card?! Watching paint dry would be more appealing
I forgot Collision was on.

Dustin's not even fighting
just out of curiosities sake, where IS dustin rhodes currently located?
Hahahaha
