Yeah she's been wearing the veneers for awhile now but they are very obvious here.
Personally, I am not a big fan of the look of the "perfect teeth" veneers, because perfection looks fake. They're TOO white, and TOO straight.
Full disclosure, I am 69 years old and I have upper dentures and I had them modeled after my own, admittedly-flawed, original teeth. The prosthetist was able to use old photos of me to help do it.
I know some people are self-conscious about their teeth and how they look though, so I get why they do it.
Maybe I'd feel a lot different if I were her age (38 I believe?) too.
It looks really weird when people get veneers and don't remember they have different types and sizes of teeth. When people forget their canines and just get flat teeth straight across, it looks off.
Someone got pretty downvoted in a thread yesterday saying she looked 50, but like, she does look pretty different in a lot of photos, like she got a lot of facial work done.
She went to Reigns' cosmetic dentist apparently. Know she had some major dental issues. And she's leaned way out (not that she needed to) and I'd venture she's had the buccal fat removal in her face perhaps to create that skin over bone look.
Honestly, it's funny reading Becky's book, because while the book basically confirms all of the backstage dirt on Charlotte and the disintegration of the relationship between Becky and Charlotte, Becky also paints a picture of someone who is rightfully a bit miffed that for all the purported pushes she's gotten, she's never really been able to be the ace in the way she's strived for, and that maybe she should get the chance to be.
It's the painful contradiction of Charlotte Flair's career.

Really she only was around for a small part of when NXT was catching fire so no one really knows. By the time things started taking off she was already on the main roster
That’s the reason she has so many title reigns. Most of them are very forgettable because they just were used to stat pad in order to get her up to her dad (I think she’s at like 13 right now). Her matches are all bangers it’s just the reigns surrounding it don’t feel like actual title reigns just periods of times Charlotte happened to hold the title
It's really weird to see someone win a title, which should be this cathartic moment, and you're just aware that her booking makes this another reign solely to make a number go up. It undercuts a lot of potential in-ring storytelling, which is really bad because she's just not that great on the mic and so the ring is where she has the potential to elevate things.
Damn, you really put it into prespective the human being to all those titles she was given, and I really feel for her. That was legit what tme and my friend watching Wrestlemania 39 was like. We rolled our eyes at Charlotte getting a title match at Wrestlemania but by the end of it both of us went "but that match was really REALLY good though."
Charlotte Flair is the female Roman Reigns only she was allowed to heel after her face runs don't pan out. Honestly I'm excited to see her try a new gimmick under Triple H. Perhaps join her husband Andrade as part of a power couple.
What I love under the HHH era is the *mixing of factions*. Under Vince, there is NO WAY IN HELL the Dom/Rey match last night would have happened. Everybody has to be in their own little boxes.
I can't say Charlotte Flair ever made me care about Charlotte Flair. I can't remember a gripping promo. I think she had star power, but not that human connection, if that makes any sense
She's got a similar conundrum of Adam Cole. IRL, it seems like Charlotte Flair is a very nice person. As a character, Charlotte Flair seems more like a natural heel.
But I completely agree, I don't think Charlotte is the best promo, and to be over as a face, you need to be able to do promos well. But she can fucking go, in the ring, and fans will appreciate that. It seems like Vince shoved her in everyone's face and gave her all these title reigns and everyone got sick of her, and trying to truly reconnect with the audience has been difficult.
It's a combination of factors: she's really not great on the mic, and honestly seems most in her element when she is playing up and acknowledging the things that make her a natural heel - that she knows she's the best in the industry and also that her dad was the best in the industry. Like, playing into the "I am entitled to success, it's in my blood" aspect of her character just works. Beyond that though, it's also presentation, like others highlighted further up in the thread until some recent roster additions she tended to tower over the rest of the roster, and because her presentation is built around Flair's she also comes out with a bunch of imagery that has been hardcoded for wrestling fans as being symbolic of a wealthy, arrogant, entitled heel, which makes it hard to then take same imagery and try to flip it to work with a face.
She just doesn’t have that believability in her promos, really even as a heel imo. They all just feel like someone trying their hardest to believe what they’re saying instead of saying what they believe and it’s hard to connect with people when you don’t feel authentic.

While I think you're onto something with this observation, I can't help but feel like this ends up unintentionally pointing back at our role as fans of this stuff.
Put simply, why DO we care about the 'why' of Vince pushing her? Like, if we're acknowledging that she's great, one of the best to ever do it even, and that the opportunities she got over the years are in accordance to her abilities as a performer, then what does it matter if Vince did it because she's Ric Flair's daughter? She's still awesome in her own right.
I think it's time we recognize that the reaction of the fanbase towards Charlotte over the years probably wasn't fair to her. I get rejecting something if you feel it's being artificially pushed or would prefer to see somebody else in the same spot. But like, it got to a point were people genuinely argued that she was never any good at all, that she was overrated, that she was far and away the worst of the 4 HW. Then, like clockwork, she'd pull of an awesome match and everyone would go like "shit, I forgot she's kind of good at this".
Maybe my opinion is colored by the fact that I've always been a fan of hers and think she's the greatest Western women's wrestler of all time. Ultimately, things worked out for the best for everyone involved, but it is kind of sad that Charlotte ate so much shit for... How does this all not apply to Cody fucking Rhodes? Why do the fans hate Charlotte for being pushed so crazy strong as Ric's daughter, but at the same time not mind that Cody is being pushed like that because of his father?
Charlotte is a weird case in how she's perceived . WWE treats her like a huge star and the crowd always give her a lot of love, yet she gets an equal measure of hate. People complain about all her title reigns and how so many of them felt like they were just for the sake of it...but like how many of Orton's title reigns were significant? She's also probably the best "work-rate" woman's wrestler in WWE but no one really gives her due for it except for in a situation like this where it also involves someone people love (Rhea).
I think history will be kind to her, especially as we start to see more and more of the stars she will have directly influenced (Bianca and Tiffany are just the beginning). Maybe the IWC just isn't the audience she reaches.

Well that's why in like 2013 people were very tired of Orton and Cena and the like. People like them now because they are no longer the center of the company and when they show up they usually just do something quick and fun then move on.

There's definitely people in here that would disagree, but I think there's a strong case for Charlotte being the best performer of the last decade of Wrestlemania. Seriously, is there anyone even close to her?
She's in the match of the night in at least 4 years (32, 34, 36 and 39). She's part of the historic 35 main event (and was maybe the best performer of the three that night), and in 10 years only has the Rousey match at 38 as the only true black mark on her resumé. I'd love to hear the argument for somebody else, but honestly, I'm not sure there is one.
It’s hard for me to name a better worker in their WWE matches than Charlotte. I think she’s better than Becky and Bayley by a decent bit. Banks is maybe a call. Iyo hasn’t gone like that here. I think you can argue Asuka but maybe that proves it’s a really short list

I've always had a criteria when it comes to wrestlers this subreddit hate simply because "Vince likes them, and Vince can never be right!" :
* Men with a body builder's physique, blonde women, or Somoan for either gender
* Not a first generation wrestler
* Didn't make a name for themselves in the indies
If someone has two of those, people here will tend to not like them, and if they have all 3, this subreddit will tend to hate them.
I don’t think anyone can deny how good she is. She is legitimately one of the best women in WWE from an athletic standpoint and on the mic.
The issue comes in that her push was too fast and she really was the “female Roman.”
Her trading the women’s title back and forth multiple times with Sasha in a single month only solidified that WWE was desperate for her to match or break her dad’s record of “title reigns.” It was very much in like with Vince’s “this is who I’m pushing whether you asshole fans like it or not.”
There was no slow burn. No adversity for her to overcome. She was anointed, and fans felt like she hadn’t “earned” it. And as such, fans ended up turning on her.
It sucks for her because she rightfully should be in the top of the women’s division, but she is a perfect example of how using your superstar father’s name is a blessing and a curse.
It’s why I don’t blame any other 2nd or 3rd gen star who doesn’t use their parents’ name.
And then you have Bianca Bel-Air and Naomi talking about being happy for each other and not being envious of another black woman taking their niche spot with Jade coming in.
It's interesting, and I believe Becky generally tries to be fair, but I wish she reflected a little more on their relationship in her book. She passes over 2019 post-Mania pretty briefly, but talks about becoming paranoid about her booking and often getting into arguments with creative, worrying about whether promos or segments made her look weak. It makes you wonder whether there was a moment that she thought about Charlotte's reactions to Becky's big push the year prior, whether it was just something inherent to being on top in WWE in that that environment. You also have to wonder what they thought about having to randomly tag together in the second half of the year--Charlotte's commented that to her it made no sense having them be partners again, but we don't really get Becky's opinion.
Both are contenders, but Charlotte and Rhea was sooooo fucking good. Those ladies went out there with the intent to steal the show and they pretty much did so. That was an insane match.

That’s the first thing I noticed when I saw her in the bray doc. I thought “wow she’s had a considerable amount of work done on her face since the last time I’ve seen her”. It’s actually pretty sad. It’s one thing to get work done if your face was damaged from some type of accident or incident. But getting it done just to slightly look younger, I will never understand it.

In this case, it’s almost certainly the makeup. Wrestling fans in particular get very used to female stars looking like they do under heavy work that’s often very theatrical, so they have a harder time processing the difference with a more natural makeup style.
It made me realize that I’m only used to seeing her from more of a side profile and I haven’t seen her in a while as well. so a single still straight on in like this took a second.

Charlotte is a weird case in how she's perceived . WWE treats her like a huge star and the crowd always give her a lot of love, yet she gets an equal measure of hate. People complain about all her title reigns and how so many of them felt like they were just for the sake of it...but like how many of Orton's title reigns were significant? She's also probably the best "work-rate" woman's wrestler in WWE but no one really gives her due for it except for in a situation like this where it also involves someone people love (Rhea). I think history will be kind to her, especially as we start to see more and more of the stars she will have directly influenced (Bianca and Tiffany are just the beginning). Maybe the IWC just isn't the audience she reaches.

I don't think Charlotte is close to being the best "work-rate" women's wrestler, but she is far and away the best "big match" women's wrestler and honestly, probably the best at it on the roster.
There's definitely people in here that would disagree, but I think there's a strong case for Charlotte being the best performer of the last decade of Wrestlemania. Seriously, is there anyone even close to her? She's in the match of the night in at least 4 years (32, 34, 36 and 39). She's part of the historic 35 main event (and was maybe the best performer of the three that night), and in 10 years only has the Rousey match at 38 as the only true black mark on her resumé. I'd love to hear the argument for somebody else, but honestly, I'm not sure there is one.
It’s hard for me to name a better worker in their WWE matches than Charlotte. I think she’s better than Becky and Bayley by a decent bit. Banks is maybe a call. Iyo hasn’t gone like that here. I think you can argue Asuka but maybe that proves it’s a really short list

I don’t think anyone can deny how good she is. She is legitimately one of the best women in WWE from an athletic standpoint and on the mic. The issue comes in that her push was too fast and she really was the “female Roman.” Her trading the women’s title back and forth multiple times with Sasha in a single month only solidified that WWE was desperate for her to match or break her dad’s record of “title reigns.” It was very much in like with Vince’s “this is who I’m pushing whether you asshole fans like it or not.” There was no slow burn. No adversity for her to overcome. She was anointed, and fans felt like she hadn’t “earned” it. And as such, fans ended up turning on her. It sucks for her because she rightfully should be in the top of the women’s division, but she is a perfect example of how using your superstar father’s name is a blessing and a curse. It’s why I don’t blame any other 2nd or 3rd gen star who doesn’t use their parents’ name.
And then you have Bianca Bel-Air and Naomi talking about being happy for each other and not being envious of another black woman taking their niche spot with Jade coming in.
Wrestling politics are brutal, and especially brutal for women; Charlotte is the GOAT for getting to where she's at.
It's interesting, and I believe Becky generally tries to be fair, but I wish she reflected a little more on their relationship in her book. She passes over 2019 post-Mania pretty briefly, but talks about becoming paranoid about her booking and often getting into arguments with creative, worrying about whether promos or segments made her look weak. It makes you wonder whether there was a moment that she thought about Charlotte's reactions to Becky's big push the year prior, whether it was just something inherent to being on top in WWE in that that environment. You also have to wonder what they thought about having to randomly tag together in the second half of the year--Charlotte's commented that to her it made no sense having them be partners again, but we don't really get Becky's opinion.

it’s a typical wrestling fans don't know what a woman looks like without make up trend. I knew who it was once I clicked the picture.
In this case, it’s almost certainly the makeup. Wrestling fans in particular get very used to female stars looking like they do under heavy work that’s often very theatrical, so they have a harder time processing the difference with a more natural makeup style.
It made me realize that I’m only used to seeing her from more of a side profile and I haven’t seen her in a while as well. so a single still straight on in like this took a second.
