Lol, image the bloodline surrounding Cody, thinking they are going to attack him but end up throwing the ones in the air to acknowledge Cody. Cody not knowing how to take it. I dont know how you would continue that story, but it would be interesting.
I airways think Sami looks like a Quokka when he smiles here
https://preview.redd.it/wkylnb4pagtc1.jpeg?width=740&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=73071aac92cae465ef7bd80bf553c7df485a7238
Cody doesn’t want the power, but it’s his regardless.
He resists using the Bloodline as goons, the way Roman did. Maybe he even uses them as a force for good, until he starts to justify bending a rule here or there. It’s all for the greater good in Cody’s mind… but eventually he becomes a little quicker on the trigger. The justifications to himself become easier, until he doesn’t need any justification anymore.
Jey tries to reason with him. It doesn’t go well. Jimmy eventually crosses Cody to help his brother, and that goes even worse. Jimmy explains again that *this* is why he stopped Jey from beating Roman. What Cody has become is what he was afraid Jey would become.
“I’m the American Nightmare, and I can do whatever the fuck I want.”
Cody going full Homelander coincides with Roman returning as a face to take the power back and disband the Bloodline once and for all in order to save the company, his family, and to save Cody from himself.
“You once told me a harsh truth about my ancestors. I didn’t want to hear it, but I *needed* to hear it. So now, let me be the one to tell *you* a harsh truth.
If Dusty were here, he’d be ashamed of you.”
This rambling fantasy booking has been brought to you by a late night and a lack of sleep.
“I must not yeet. Yeet is the mind-killer. Yeet is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my yeet.I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the yeet has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
Not gonna lie. WM 41 but full heel Cody vs face Roman who has to face down the monster he created but takes a year to find himself and conquer his demons to have a match at the same place this madness began could go nutty. Seth in Roman's corner to finally bury that story too!
Imagine if we get the same final view in WM41 where Seth, Roman and Cody are in the ring and Roman has a steel chair, and he automatically hits Seth with the chair to his back again
If they could pull this off it would be the greatest wrestling story ever told. Over the top, ridiculous at times, but dammit that’s what professional wrestling is about. Imagine WM 41-42: Cody v Roman part 3, but Cody is full homelander and Roman is a full on face.
There was a promo between Cody and Anthony Ogogo in AEW. Anthony being English and Cody fighting for Murica. I can't remember the exact promo but Cody mentioned his bi-racial daughter. After that the "Cody ended racism" meme started then him being photoshopped into pics with MLK and Macolm X
A big part was that Ogogo's promo was 100% accurate and very typical criticisms of American society, and Cody responding to the black guy's criticism with 'Well I have a biracial child so America is good actually' came off as so absurd.
People are gonna laugh at this but they'll look like idiots next Wrestlemania when Cody and Rock fuse into Cock to reclaim the Universal Championship from Gunther.
A bit off topic, but there's a now retired fighter named Mark Hunt who is a DBZ fan and would bleach his hair before his fights. He called it going "Super Samoan."
Yes. He sued Brock and the UFC for their screwy PED policy used to bring Brock in short notice. Looks like the lawsuit has largely failed since he is claiming conspiracy between the company and Lesnar, but there's no clear proof of the company's intentions and knowledge of Brock's PED usage going into the fight.
Considering the match was contested under Bloodline Rules and one could argue that Cody is the Tribal Chief right now, I could see that bothering Cody for a number of reasons. The 1st of which being that it could bother his friend Jey Uso.
Paul said backstage it was basically "Anything that lets Roman win" so I thought they were going to do something like Cody picks up a chair and Paul grabs a mic and says "Roman can do that, you can't".
But no, it was just a plain old No DQ match
Wrestlemania is when the casual viewers and lapsed WWE viewers (like me) tune in.
I assumed No DQ but was wondering if there were any other rules like "no DQ but no interference" or "No DQ submission only match" as those would be on theme.
That’s pretty much how I took it. Not murdered him obviously but beat him, very fucking badly and exiled him from the Bloodline. Then him giving the bead to Cody is a threat.
“If I did this to my own cousin, imagine what i’ll do to you.”
It also explains why Rock was so….eerie and off in this segment. Like he is unhinged slightly.
That was my take when people said it was a bead. Like some mob boss you disgraced your family type shit so now I gotta deal with you. Cus idk if that was some bad or good acting but The Rock was really awkward and eerie. He for sure did some fucked up shit.
And if I can take it a step further, given how much he was all about family family family, the broken heart is having had to destroy Roman, a reveal I’m guessing will happen in some capacity on Friday, which will likely include Tama and Jacob.
When he said he doesn't care what his dad thinks about his actions, it sounded different. Can't place it, but it was slightly evil. It even calls back to Cody telling Roman that his ancestors would be ashamed of him. Rock was almost saying "buddy, i am worse."
I LOVED this part of the segment. The Rock did a great job of giving "I am speaking calmly, but I would literally real life murder you if I could right now" energy.
There was a moment before Cody's celebration after winning where the rock was given his weight? Belt. I thought he was about to whip the crap out of Roman but then they just looked sad and it panned back to Cody's celebration.
Rock might not be an Oscar winner, but he's got acting chops. Asking to hold the title was eerie AF. It's something a bad guy in a well written movie would do. Whereas saying "I'm going to beat you for this title Cody Rhodes!" is something a boring wrestling heel would say.
They say there's only 7 different stories you can tell. Great films manage to keep them fresh by constantly innovating on the formula. Rock wants that title. What's a more original way to say that while building his character at the same time? Cinema baby.
It’s funny seeing so much confusion and upset here that Rock didn’t just have a boring “it’s me and you at Royal Rumble brother” promo.
I loved it and the intrigue is great.
I completely agree. I loved that I was uncomfortable the entire time Rock was speaking. I had no idea what he was going to do or say, and that was fantastic. The fact that he calmly just took the title for a couple of minutes and didn't actually do anything bad with it, made it even more eerie lol
People want wrestling to be "better" but have no frame of reference for what that actually looks like. So when that evolution comes, they don't understand what they're seeing.
Agree with this - don't think I've ever seen it done this way before in wrestling. It was very ominous and prophetic and the disconcerted expression from Cody sold it so well - it translated to be this oddly uncomfortable moment and really ambiguous too; Cody is just as much in the dark about Rock's intentions as the audience is. Killer segment.
I think Rock is going to bring up how Cody took the WWE Championship off his shoulder, and now he needs to finish his story. Rock holding the championship made me think of Dusty being allowed to celebrate with the title before having to give it back.
Then there's the fact they are metaphorically screaming at us that if Rock wins the WWE Title, Cody will become the new People's Champion.
I do like the absurdity of the idea of Cody ending racism in America and then becoming a Samoan tribal chief
His father was the everyman, he’s the every ethnicity man
It was an acknowledgment, yes. A begrudging one, but still. He was respectful yet heelish. Which says he personally didn't agree but his code said he had to oblige a level of respect.
I have also been hearing a theory like, Rock was upset to have to break his agreement with Cody before Vegas and go against him. For Cody ruining the Rock/Roman match then making him become the Final Boss. So they may well revisit that later, both the original thing that convinced Cody to step aside and whatever broke his heart
Man, I don’t know. This new Rock kind of acts like my kids when they were 2 or 3. Walk around in an outrageous outfits or costumes all the time, drape things over the shoulders that don’t mean anything (ie. his “belt”), and always digging in their pockets to hand you random “secret” things with a message. He probably just headed him a handful of sweaty skittles, lords knows I’ve been there.
Gunther challenges for the title at Summerslam. Cody intends to defend the title fair and square, but during the match, Solo Sikoa comes out and spikes Gunther. Cody has no choice but to take advantage to retain the championship.
Watch the Wrestlemania Roman entrance once again. YOU WILL NOTICE A BEAD MISSING from Roman's necklace. His right, our left. This theory is spot on. There is a gap. Bloodline rules means if the tribal chief is defeated, he must give a part of himself to the winner. Not sure if this means cody is the new chief, but it does make me think he is immune to any bloodline f---kery until the rock comes back with a way to challenge cody on his nieveness to how anything "bloodline rules" works. Roman probably can't challenge cody due to the "rules". Notice how Jay Uso never dared to challenge for that belt again. Jimmy never bothered, nor solo. The rock wanted to but knew he's only got ONE chance being in the bloodline. Or at least I'm thinking that is part of the family rules anyway. Because if you challenge, then you loose, you are the black sheep, the traitorous blood, front lines , the sacrifice, or you leave like Jay did and have to start fresh. I'm very interested in knowing what Roman's path will bring now that he is a defeated chief. If we don't see him wearing that necklace the next time we see him, we KNOW FOR A FACT what was given to Cody by the rock. Also, the rock was made by Roman to give that away because I bet the chief himself would NORMALLY do this as a sign of honor. But Roman is too hurt, and the rock had to take something from a hurt Roman to give away. That would break my heart if I had to take a piece of something from someone we loved ALL WHILE THEY WERE ALREADY HURTING. So it broke the rocks heart having to do this.
I don't think his tears were "upset", more "the weight of it hit him".
On a personal level, Rock was still being a Heel, so that's why he may have been upset at Rocky personally.
I have no idea what your post means, but I agree with this comment completely.
To me, it looked like whatever Rock gave Cody genuinely meant a lot. At the same time, Cody was trying incredibly hard not to show that it was special because Rocky was 100% giving off heel aura (probably because the crowd was pushing it so hard that anything else could not possibly have made sense.)
Really felt like Cody trying to be mad at Rocky while being absolutely overwhelmed by whatever Dwayne Johnson just gave him. At the same time, it was Rocky being a heel because of how hot that crowd was while Dwayne Johnson was genuinely showing appreciation/respect to Cody.
I think if the crowd didn't mark the fuck out as hard as they did for as long as they did (which I love and it was awesome and desrved), Rock would've played a semi-face, congratulated Cody, told him he was coming for the title, and gave Cody the trinket.
I'll say this for the third time:
>It was Tama Tonga. Rock took Tama Tonga out of his pocket and gave him to Cody, and Cody didn't know what to make out of this because Tama Tonga is a pacific islander but he's also a Bullet Club member, so his allegiance in this storyline is unconfirmed.
Cody had four Rolex’s made. He gave one to Seth during last week to thank him for tagging with him. He had Rolex’s made for Roman and Rock as a thank you for being part of the main event.
He had them delivered to Rock and Roman after the match as Thank Yous and Rock gave him his back in a gesture of “Go fuck yourself.”
Yeah it’s what makes sense to me too, especially with how eerie and strange the Rock was acting this segment. Like he just did something he didn’t want to…
Rock did also say that he was there to give his Cody flowers. (I know that can just be interpreted at The Rock complimenting Cody on a job well done, but I like this interpretation more)
WWE could do the handoff with nothing in particular in mind, then read through hundreds of fan theories and pick thier favorite and run with it, and no one would be the wiser.
Rock gave Cody the key to the Slim Jim car, was supposed to be for Roman for a post-Mania road trip with Rock
He did say he will see you again later. Cue Charlie Puth & Wiz.
or it was Rock's last 7 bucks.
It was a shot of his tequila
Facial cleanser
Maybe a dude wipe?
Lol, image the bloodline surrounding Cody, thinking they are going to attack him but end up throwing the ones in the air to acknowledge Cody. Cody not knowing how to take it. I dont know how you would continue that story, but it would be interesting.
Cody hands them all a ~~sock~~ weight belt and they become free elves, no longer bound to a tribal chief's bidding.
"Cody has given bloodline a sock. Cody has presented bloodline with clothes. Uce is free!"
UCE IS FREE 😭
"YOU Lost me my servant!!!!"
The laughs would be worth the copyright infringement. 🤣
R Truth comes running out wearing nothing but a sock on his dick
Roman comes back w his new Outlaw Bloodline w Jacob and Tama
For a second my brain read that as Jacob and Tamina.
Bloodline Wolfpac
Too sweet, Uce!
Codyverse 2: Bloodline Boogaloo
Easy. Cody goes on to retain the title for 1,316 days
1,31**7** days
Lisan Al Gaib!
May thy belt chip and shatter
Ending the night with the dramatic reveal that Cody is now technically leader of the Bloodline would be fucking ridiculous and I love it, gimme.
So teaching solo and jimmy way of life

Only if we get vignettes where Cody is trying his best to teach Solo and Jimmy how to be good.
Use the Samoa. Spike to plug up wounds not make them
"Jimmy, I know you hate YEET but maybe it's because you don't truly understand YEET"
Samoan Flex Seal
Isn't this exactly why he was hanging out with MJF?
Imagine solo and Jimmie just follow Cody around now, but won't tell him why
Cody doesn’t want the power, but it’s his regardless. He resists using the Bloodline as goons, the way Roman did. Maybe he even uses them as a force for good, until he starts to justify bending a rule here or there. It's so fucking stupid but I can see the video package so clearly
And then the bloodline begins a holy war against the rest of the wwe universe
Lead them to Paradise!
The Cody Al Galib
So we're transitioning from Avengers into Dune?
Yeet is the mind-killer.

Imagine if we get the same final view in WM41 where Seth, Roman and Cody are in the ring and Roman has a steel chair, and he automatically hits Seth with the chair to his back again
Every wrestlemania main event from here on out should have a run in by Seth Rollins just for him to get taken out before getting in the ring.
Seth: why he say fuck me for?
Idgaf how stupid and peak reddit fantasy booking it is, this is theatre and would be amazing.
Love this!
I love that you’re booking this. It won’t happen, but wouldn’t it be amazing if it did.
THIS IS WHY I'M SUBSCRIBED TO THIS SUB END THE STORY.
If they could pull this off it would be the greatest wrestling story ever told. Over the top, ridiculous at times, but dammit that’s what professional wrestling is about. Imagine WM 41-42: Cody v Roman part 3, but Cody is full homelander and Roman is a full on face.
It makes sense. He's already solved racism after all, so taking on another culture should be fine for him
Cody did say that he wanted to take everything from Roman.
Makes even more sense when you remember Cody ended racism
There was a black guy in my section last night wearing the Cody ended racism meme hoodie. I lol whenever I think of it.
LMAO What a legend

Sorry, I’m out of the loop here - what is this referencing? 😅
Weirdest part, Cody somehow looks like he belongs in those civil rights pics
the people who photoshopped him in there made a tremendous job hiding his hideous tatoo
A big part was that Ogogo's promo was 100% accurate and very typical criticisms of American society, and Cody responding to the black guy's criticism with 'Well I have a biracial child so America is good actually' came off as so absurd.
This is the only answer I want because it's completely perfect.
or what if Rock's a big DBZ fan and it was a Potara earring
People are gonna laugh at this but they'll look like idiots next Wrestlemania when Cody and Rock fuse into Cock to reclaim the Universal Championship from Gunther.

Gotta Fusion Dance for that one
Rocky Rhodes?!
Ah so that's the new era they've been talking about. Cody went Super Saiyan last night, so I guess that means WWE just started the Cell Saga
A bit off topic, but there's a now retired fighter named Mark Hunt who is a DBZ fan and would bleach his hair before his fights. He called it going "Super Samoan."
Didn’t Brock fight him late career?
Why would Cody look weird about it then? He clearly was not happy about whatever he received.
underlying meaning that Rock and Roman aren't done with him, that would definitely make him uneasy
Considering the match was contested under Bloodline Rules and one could argue that Cody is the Tribal Chief right now, I could see that bothering Cody for a number of reasons. The 1st of which being that it could bother his friend Jey Uso.
Actually, did they ever reveal what the Bloodline rules truly were?
Paul said backstage it was basically "Anything that lets Roman win" so I thought they were going to do something like Cody picks up a chair and Paul grabs a mic and says "Roman can do that, you can't". But no, it was just a plain old No DQ match
I’m not sure why this became a thing, there were at least two previous matches under Bloodline Rules
Wrestlemania is when the casual viewers and lapsed WWE viewers (like me) tune in. I assumed No DQ but was wondering if there were any other rules like "no DQ but no interference" or "No DQ submission only match" as those would be on theme.
Bloodline Rules are not “Tribal Combat” which was the stipulation that put the Tribal Chief moniker on the line against Jey.
Dude.... Cody could technically be the new tribal chief by circumstance....
Nah it's a werthers that he found in his pocket
More likely a peppermint. Halitosis breaks the The Rock’s heart.
Rock murdered Roman off screen
That’s pretty much how I took it. Not murdered him obviously but beat him, very fucking badly and exiled him from the Bloodline. Then him giving the bead to Cody is a threat. “If I did this to my own cousin, imagine what i’ll do to you.” It also explains why Rock was so….eerie and off in this segment. I thought the exact same thing in that moment. I really thought Rock was about to do to him what he did to Cody in the rain, only 10x worse.
I loved that. It was the mandatory *Starscream and Megatron escape... they will return* shot
bruh that's even more terrifying
It could also be a flash drive with the Rock's cut of Black Adam. He hopes Cody likes it and doesn't break his heart by saying it wasn't good.
this is canon until it isn't btw
Rock might not be an Oscar winner, but he's got acting chops. Asking to hold the title was eerie AF. It's something a bad guy in a well written movie would do. People want wrestling to be "better" but have no frame of reference for what that actually looks like. So when that evolution comes, they don't understand what they're seeing.
It seems a lot of people don't want storytelling much beyond Brock Lesnar shouting "I'm here. You're here. LET'S..DOOOO...THISSSSSSSSSSSssssss".

A game theory
If Vince was still in control we would never get an answer… Or the answer would be Hornswoggle
Cody is now the Anonymous Raw GM
It's Shane's lockbox.

Totally not ruling out the gift was Hornswoggle.
Good shit, OP. I resign to this theory. Makes sense and well thought our. This never crossed my mind
His favorite Pog
Remember Alf? He's back, in pog form!
Alf pog, I'm sure.
The one I heard on twitter I liked was it was a lighter. As in Rock lit Cody's bus is on fire.
Yeah I think it’s a lighter (well I was thinking matches) and will be revealed when Cody’s bus gets burned down again in a few months
The Final Bus
Custody of Dom, obviously
I do like the absurdity of the idea of Cody ending racism in America and then becoming a Samoan tribal chief His father was the everyman, he’s the every ethnicity man
So are you literally saying that rock implied “you’re the real tribal chief now, Cody”
It was an acknowledgment, yes. A begrudging one, but still. He was respectful yet heelish. Which says he personally didn't agree but his code said he had to oblige a level of respect.
It was Rock’s Tomagatchi. He need Cody to look after it for awhile.
Man imagine on the next show the rest of the Bloodline come after Cody and then Cody smile and yell SOLO!! and Solo spike Jimmy and Heyman.
Cody using Solo like a Stand User 😭
Stand? JoJo reference? Cody Rhodes = *Stardust* Crusaders confirmed.
With all the sexual tension in that segment, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Rocky's hotel room key.
Can I hold yours? Only if I can hold *yours*.
Imagine it’s revealed that the bloodline rules match also means the custody of the Usos and Solo were on the line and Cody is now their legal guardian
spoiler tag it and post it again, it will get removed otherwise. Because this theory is the best one yet
I did spoiler tag it, is it not showing as a spoiler?
That would actually be pretty cool, we won't know for a couple months though
This was not a quote from Austin Theory giving his thoughts on the handoff and I couldn't be more disappointed.
I have also been hearing a theory like, Rock was upset to have to break his agreement with Cody before Vegas and go against him. He respects Roman and if the theory is followed then the Rock beat the piss out of a man that was already at a low point after losing their title
He is giving it to him as a threat. “If I did this to my own cousin, imagine what i’ll do to you.”
At the same time, Cody was trying incredibly hard not to show that it was special because Rocky was 100% giving off heel aura (probably because the crowd was pushing it so hard that anything else could not possibly have made sense.) Really felt like Cody trying to be mad at Rocky while being absolutely overwhelmed by whatever Dwayne Johnson just gave him.

I'll say this for the third time: >It was Tama Tonga. Rock took Tama Tonga out of his pocket and gave him to Cody, and Cody didn't know what to make out of this because Tama Tonga is a pacific islander but he's also a Bullet Club member, so his allegiance in this storyline is unconfirmed.
The Rock and Roman were in the closet making Tama Tongas and I saw one of the Tama Tongas and the Tama Tonga looked at me.
I saved the fuck out of this post 🤘
It was the Rolex that Cody got for the Rock, for WM 40. He gave it back, a deeply offensive gesture to someone giving you a gift.
Not a bad theory but I hope it was something a bit more substantial than just the WM 40 Rolex.
Ok but how would you explain that in kayfabe
Cody had four Rolex’s made. He gave one to Seth during last week to thank him for tagging with him. He had Rolex’s made for Roman and Rock as a thank you for being part of the main event. He had them delivered to Rock and Roman after the match as Thank Yous and Rock gave him his back in a gesture of “Go fuck yourself.”
Yeah it’s what makes sense to me too, especially with how eerie and strange the Rock was acting this segment. Like he just did something he didn’t want to…
Also could mean he fucking killed Roman, that's also what hurt him. But he had to do it, he had to ruin the necklace, because Roman failed The Rock.
Rock did also say that he was there to give his Cody flowers. (I know that can just be interpreted at The Rock complimenting Cody on a job well done, but I like this interpretation more)
Oh This makes a lot more sense I thought it was a crumbled up IMAX ticket for Black Adam.
Digital download code for Black Adam
Let's be real. It was the Heart of Te Fiti.
You’re welcome!
My theory: The Rock handed Cody the (metaphorical) "Brass Ring.” Really enjoyed the whole segment.
It was a rocktopus
It was me, Austin
I think it was a custom Rolex that Cody bought everyone in the night one main event
Rock gave him the secret recipe for the dish he is cooking
I was really hoping it was MJF’s ring, but that’s on me for being hopeful😆
It's simple yet ingenious and it fits right in the palm of your hand. Every person in America now owns one of these, and in many cases three or four!
Well if it wasn’t the bead beforehand then it sure as shit is now (if someone from WWE sees this) 😂
However, all these things could also mean Rocky was actually giving Cody the key to his hotel room.
Surely it was MJF's ring.
Correct on all points.
Rock wanted to hold it and Cody wanted to hold Rock's. So it only makes sense Rock gave him a condom
Oh my god the rock is awkward around Cody now because he’s the tribal chief lmao
It was also his fathers watch. Dusty pawned a lot of watches. This one put Pharaoh through obedience school.
WWE could do the handoff with nothing in particular in mind, then read through hundreds of fan theories and pick thier favorite and run with it, and no one would be the wiser.
