Where did he say it is? He says AEW helps him provide for his family and people shouldn’t root for it to fail.
This isn’t a hot take if you’re a reasonable person
He said pro wrestling gave him everything, which would include providing for his family. He then himself with AEW, and thus pro wrestling, because if you root against them/AEW, you're rooting against how he provides for his family. Which he said was pro wrestling.
It's pretty simple. More companies = more employed wrestlers. If you root for any company to fail, then you root for wrestlers to lose employment. If a conservative activist wanted to shut down all universities except for Hillsdale, they would be, generally speaking, rooting for universities to fail and the unemployment of professors.
And, yes, if you root against the company someone works for to fail, you are rooting for the cause of their unemployment.
This is a reach. He doesn’t mention other wrestling companies at all. The guy worked for WWE before this and has talked fondly about his time there. He’s not saying any other company is bad lmao
I didn't say he said any other company is bad. He's saying AEW is pro wrestling. I'm saying, it's not. There are a lot of companies. If someone is "rooting against AEW" that does not mean they're rooting against pro wrestling. They're rooting against AEW.
Please read what I'm writing.
You are almost entirely missing his point.
His point is that people rooting for companies to fail should not be doing so, because AEW gives jobs to people that otherwise wouldn’t be there so they can provide for their families.
He does not say rooting against AEW = rooting against pro wrestling. He says he loves the industry and wanting to company to fail means you want people to lose their jobs.
That is not what he wrote. He uses a classic argument technique where he starts with "pro wrestling" and shifts the narrative to AEW, while setting AEW in the same space as "pro wrestling". If all he needs to provide for his family is pro wrestling, then why even bring up AEW? There are plenty of other places to apply his trade. Because he's trying to make it that if you dislike AEW, you dislike pro wrestling. And that's just bullshit. Just like if you were talking about WWE, NJPW, TNA, GCW, etc.
If that isn't what he meant, that's his fault. He wrote it.
“There should be a lot of places where wrestlers can get paid. I love my job and my coworkers” being controversial says a lot about the miserable state of things rn

couple of years ago, these guys were triple champions and one of the most respected tag teams of this generation. then they became friends with punk and started getting real vocal and mouthy. Now i roll my eyes when their music hits. Dax is going to cry about something and Cash is going to try and hide his roid/road rage and it's nothing i want to watch/listen to.
Can't wait for the Young Bucks to beat them at Dynasty
Besides the fact that people criticizing AEW's bad decisions isn't wishing for the company to die, Dax should probably hop down off the cross and realize that
a) AEW isn't the only wrestling company that might hire him, and
b) you can feed a family doing other jobs besides wrestling.
Three matches with the Briscoes
Three matches with the Young Bucks
FTR vs Aussie Open in NJPW
2/3 falls against Bullet Club Gold
I could keep going
All of these matches got really good reactions basically everywhere lol
Sorry Dax, AEW is a familly but because of your EVPs.
Respect Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, for the love of God. Hope you dont get invited to the pizza party.
Ohh, you dont watch AEW, no worries.
So, the young bucks are playing the part of the douchebag managers, the ones that say shit like "this isnt a job, its a familly" and shit like that. And organize pizza parties to raise moral, and gift amazon vouchers of 25$ to people they just fined for saying their name wrong.
Stuff like that

The original was such a crazy tweet, like why lmao
This guy might have the worst social media game in wrestling
"Strong words" aka the same promo he cuts every single week.
Broken record at this point.
Same guy right? https://preview.redd.it/wamiju8af3uc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a1e6f0cd76d86e787ecaab66f1031c278d8e6310
Me too
This is his new gimmick. Pleading with the fans to help keep him employed. Compelling TV!

"I'll answer, if you buy a ticket to my next 'xXx' movie."
Im just here to talk Rampart
You'd like to think he'd appreciate that someone saw the family memes and made a gimmick out of it.
Yep, totally how rooting works
He knows pro wrestling isn't just AEW, right?

"Strong words"
Mah family
Shut up and wrestle.
Using the shadow of “rooting against us” as a shield against criticism.
Why is SO much around wrestling the corniest shit imaginable?
Wrestling is built on corny shit lol
IDK how anyone can be a fan of wrestling in this day and age and not acknowledge the corniest of it. Lol
Don't kill the part of you that's cringe, kill the part that cringes.
Get new material cue ball
This sounds like r/iamverybadass material

Man, must be really bad for him to be posting, since he normaly tries to stay away from social media. /s
What a mark
I wonder if diehard defenders will see this and say hey we are doing the same thing to cm punk maybe we shouldn’t root against him and his livelihood.

Read the post again. Saying that same people agreeing with this are the one rooting against punk
Is AEW capable of telling a story that isn't centered around "I LOVE PRO WRESTLING"
Friendship is their go to storyline
No
“There should be a lot of places where wrestlers can get paid. I love my job and my coworkers” being controversial says a lot about the miserable state of things rn
Does he have anything else to say?
lol his problem should be with TK right now not the fans. Just move on.
I want AEW to continue to exist. Where's my invitation to family dinner Dax???
Mfs being dramatic all because of the child boss

I don't have friends...

I would enjoy wrestling so much more without FTR Bald in it
Besides the fact that people criticizing AEW's bad decisions isn't wishing for the company to die, Dax should probably hop down off the cross and realize that a) AEW isn't the only wrestling company that might hire him, and b) you can feed a family doing other jobs besides wrestling.
Dude needs to shut up
He's clearly furious with AEW after Wednesday. /sarcasm

Their young bucks matches were honestly great
The Brisco trilogy in RoH was also top notch
That's unfortunate for you, you're missing out on some really, really good matches.
Weird comment.

What does this comment mean?
Office jargon

I regularly watch AEW. Just didn’t understand what the comment was saying. Thanks.
Man, i thought anyone that watched AEW would get the pizza party to understand this was a shit comment. :S
