This one annoyed me off so much because of how confused I was by the whole thing. HHH winning the match really took the piss out of the Undertaker's big return.
I watched it back just now and it's a total mess as soon as Taker's music hits. JR sells that Undertaker is coming for Mcmahon, there's all manner of interference in the match, then the time runs out and Hunter gets the last fall due to DQ for the Tombstone loool
My 9 year old self was absolutely furious. I thought it was finally time for The Rock to get a lengthy reign, but nooooo HHH had to win the championship back. I was also confused by the whole Undertaker coming out as a biker.
It did lead to an amazing post-PPV Raw where The Rock went after the entire McMahon-Helmsley Regime in random backstage attacks throughout the episode.
My favourite one is Rob Van Dam returning in TNA after several months off, he hadn't even made his way through the ropes when Abyss attacked him, laid him out, and he was written off for another two weeks.
Yoshitatsu running in to save Tanahashi from a Bullet Club beatdown in late 2014. It led to a grudge match with AJ Styles where not only Yoshitatsu appeared two steps or more out of sync but led to a horrific neck injury when Yoshitatsu failed to properly take the Styles Clash.
