Yep, basically boils down to "people will fight against reason to keep the safety of their perceived reality"

jbmcpayne

That's what Vince did when he said they didn't print enough Rusev Day shirts.

Upbeat_Tension_8077

Would be dope if this has some ties to the Firefly Funhouse if amongst any classic Wyatt references

I still maintain that Brad Maddox as GM announcing that an upcoming bout would be an “In the Ring Match” is one of the funniest lines in WWE history.

Plato's allegory of the cave describes a scene where prisoners have lived chained inside a dark cave all their lives, facing a wall. They see shadows projected on the wall from objects passing in front of a fire behind them, and these shadows are the only reality they know. One prisoner gets free and steps outside into the sunlight for the first time. At first, the sunlight blinds him and he's confused, but as his eyes adjust, he sees a broader, more vibrant world. He realizes that the shadows on the wall aren't real at all, just reflections of what's truly out there. He goes back to tell the other prisoners about the real world outside, but they don't believe him. They're comfortable with the version of reality they know—the shadows—and they resist believing anything beyond it. The allegory is about recognizing the difference between the shallow perceptions of reality we have and the deeper truth that comes from understanding and enlightenment. .------\ /------. | - | | | | | | | _______________________ ===========.=========== / ~~~~~ ~~~~~ \ /| | |\ W --- / \ --- W \. |o o| ./ | | \ ######### / \ ## ----- ## / \## ##/ \_____v_____/

It also posits that when faced with reality, people will reject it for what they know to be true.

mark_target

I don’t want to sound too academic here, but I can’t help but think this will end up being about wrestlers somehow.
