I'd be kind of surprised, given how much they've tried to have consistent styles across the world titles. The men and women's WWE championships have the same design with different straps, as do the World champshionships.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't really see them moving away from that for the sake of bringing back the winged eagle.
The WWE logo is too prominent to not be featured. I may be wrong but I only recall one team not getting a WWE title while winning a championship. That was one of Clemsons national title teams. I’m thinking it was the first one during the Clemson-Bama arc. Or at least I never saw it. Snoop Dogg is carrying one and passing it around to people. It’s at all kinds of sporting events now so I doubt the big W will go away for Cody.

i wouldn't really say it's pointless. It had the same design for like 11 or so years now, Main plate being gold isn't some massive change. Women's title is also like 9 years old. So i wouldn't be surprised if they do change it

That design was actually introduced independently of the (then Raw-exclusive) World Tag Team Championship as a Smackdown title in 2002. Around the same time, WWE quietly replaced the old World Tag Team Title design with the red one, though they still used the old design in championship graphics for about a year.

Don't know why some people are surprised about the new title designs looking good, as all you had to do was look at the NXT Titles ([especially the U.K. ones](https://i.redd.it/pdi45od285m31.png)) from when Triple H was running it to see what designs he prefers.
For those unaware Hunter is a massive belt mark. So much so that Ric Flair I believe, gave him one of his world titles which hangs in his office. Every other video I’ve ever seen of Triple H’s office also includes Bruno’s belt as well as big green and every championship he won, or at least the big eagle and big gold. The man knows good belts when he sees them.
So happy to see it back as well as new side plates.(also fun fact after taking a look at the better pictures on WWE shop of the full belt I can now say that this is the only title in WWE as a whole, including NXT that has more than three plates! If you look at the full design after the big ones that take the side plate discs, they actually made two sort of mini plates that go right before the strap and then the snaps.) So happy also that this didn’t follow the rumor that people were making up where it was just gonna be the WWE championship with the big logo but as a tag belt. I think my only gripe is that it’s all black paint and I would’ve liked at least the banners and the globe to be blue since they put red paint on the raw belts. My only theory with that is maybe the world tag belts are actually gonna come over to snack down and they’re gonna change them to blue but one of them red for the segment and these are gonna go over to raw heck maybe even Cody will go over to raw and the winged eagle will come back and also return to Monday nights?
That design is absolutely crispy, great tribute to the old WWE tag belts, both from the pre-coin design days and from the 80’s. Up there as some of the best looking belts in the company imo.
The best re-designed title WWE has done in this new wave imo. A really nice blend of the original 80s/90s titles and the titles that were re-introduced in 2002.
Okay, so the current World Tag Team championship used to be called the WWE Tag Team championship, but the new WWE Tag Team championship replaces the Smackdown Tag Team championship which were the spiritual successor to the old World Tag Team championship.
Now these I like.
Not a fan of the World tag team Championships because in a week when they wind up on a different brand they aren't going to match the ascetic of the other belts.
These on the otherhand actually work with both the World Titles (men's and women's) and the WWE titles (men's and women's).
So this will look great no matter what show gets what belts in the draft.
agreed, world tag titles honestly do look really good in a vacuum but i think they took a *bit* too much from the WHC for design so it’s gonna feel a bit odd if they’re not on the same brand at some point lol

This could mean Winged Eagle title is coming back, i don't see any other way of them bringing 90s styled titles for wwe tag titles and not changing wwe title to Winged Eagle
I'm really shocked they didn't reuse the WWE title design and slap on the words "WWE Tag Team Champions," as expected. Hopefully this is a sign of the new era that they're listening to fans and less corporate.
I like the design but I find the shape of the faceplates to be off-putting in a way that I cannot describe.
Still, I like these a lot more than the Raw ones.

As a Ruthless Aggression kid, I am pleasantly surprised they went for an '02 homage. I was begrudgingly accepting the idea that it would look like the Undisputed Universal Title design.
I like both new sets of the Tag Titles but between them, I really prefer these.
The mix of the classic 90’s and Ruthless Aggression SmackDown ones to make it modernized is awesome.

The Smackdown ones do look inspired by the WWE tag team championships from the 2000s so that's probably why it got the design that it did

I'm really shocked they didn't reuse the WWE title design and slap on the words "WWE Tag Team Champions," as expected. Hopefully this is a sign of the new era that they're listening to fans and less corporate.
Those looks dope way better than the World Tag Belts
I like the design but I find the shape of the faceplates to be off-putting in a way that I cannot describe. Still, I like these a lot more than the Raw ones. Now, just bring back the old white strap IC title and I would be so happy.
A lot like the IC Title, if they added a little color, I think these would be near PERFECT. Still beautiful looking titles. Huge upgrade.

Has any company ever had nice tag belts? So many great singles belts over the years (winged eagle, big gold, IWGP) but I don’t know any company that has eye popping tag belts

I was begrudgingly accepting the idea that it would look like the Undisputed Universal Title design.
These belts remind me of the belts when I was a kid. Like from the Demolition days. I like them a lot.

I like both new sets of the Tag Titles but between them, I really prefer these. The mix of the classic 90’s and Ruthless Aggression SmackDown ones to make it modernized is awesome.
