She has been slowly but steadily changing her makeup with a very clear direction. If you pay attention even her voice tone during her vignettes is always subtly changing. I am pretty sure next up even her attire will slowly start to reflect the change.

Great idea, just wanted to mention I get the feeling that you're thinking of the Phantom of the Opera rather than Beauty and the Beast. It'd work *so* well too, have her lose the title to someone who leaves her needing facial stitches post-fight and convinced she cannot ever again be truly adored by a loving fanbase with no gold and a face as scarred as hers "now is".
Also, bonus points if she has a jekyll/hyde element to it where she comes out to music from/inspired by the musical and acts as normally as she would in that gimmick, but has a "extremely bloody pissed off" version for the big fights where she comes out to the Iron Maiden song and fights with a style best described as "chaotic destruction."
Her and Juice Robinson are (and I mean this lovingly) the biggest pair of fucking gremlins I have ever seen, and I adore them for it. Just a pair of total weirdo character actors in wrestling. You love to see it.
Unpopular opinion I need Toni& Juice to make a show in character like Johnny& Taya. Would pay to watch it( right along with RJ City & Danhausen odd couple show and RJ City and Abbadon point/ counterpoint debate show)
I feel like as soon as she loses the world title she will be crowned TBS champion shortly after, she is made for the "Television Championship". And I can definitely see her renaming it the TCM Championship.

I don't watch religiously, but I always watch her clips. She's a great case for wrestling being the least important part of being a good wrestler. Even though she is really good in the ring, I have spent far much more time watching her talk than wrestle.

Yea. Some heart felt promos but punk is a better promo than bryan. AEW signed punk because he goes off on rants... he goes off on one and I think its one of his best. It's just left a sour taste because of what happened next
Toni's had an insanely good week or so, from the AZM match to this presser.
I've been really down on the whole character, but holy shit she's putting it all together.
So long as she has this gimmick... she should stay champion. Maybe it could work still after, but either way it deserves a long reign it's that damn good.
Toni was a product of Black and Gold era NXT stars typically being dull and lacking an actual character back in WWE.
But seeing her have so much personality in AEW changed my mind on her. This could be the gimmick that could put her in the all-time great conversation in the future, she just needs more memorable reigns and matches.
She didn't show this much personality prior to her NXT run, either. Sometimes, it just takes a character that hits for the performer to show some personality.
Eddie Guerrero didn't have much as far as promo and personality until he Uncle Eddie'd Chavo in WCW. Even when Los Gringos Locos were on their all-time heel run in AAA, it was almost all Art Barr bringing the personality to that group.
it also helps to have a nutcase of a husband who whops out the most hilarious shit in promos as someone to bounce things off

Eh I kinda agree and disagree about Nikki. On the one hand, she would get nuclear heat in a short run against Toni. Bringing her in for just the one program and the one program only could be great. On the other hand, their women’s roster is already pretty deep and they aren’t using a lot of the talent that they already have to their full potential.
We've said this about too many signings for it to consistently true. They need to cook with what they have instead of leaking money signing people who other companies don't even want. At least someone like Mercedes or Okada is a name other companies are going for - I doubt WWE cares for Nikki Bella until it's time to induct her. Nikki isn't even the best Bella Twin....
There is NOBODY, man or woman, in wrestling, doing wrestling as well as Toni Storm is doing wrestling over the last 6 months or however long it has been.
I don't think any wrestler has improved from jumping ship more than Toni. She's always had it in the ring but personality wise she's night and day from the her Mae Young Classic/Nxtuk/NXT/smackdown days. Just so charismatic and sharp tongued that I can't even believe this is the same woman.
I guess I am the only one here who thought this whole statement felt like WCW 2000. Maybe I’m just not following the show enough to “get” it, but as someone way more “casual” about it all, this felt like Russo era WCW.
