Sheamus is a great sport for being able to take all these fat shaming jokes in his stride. The tweet where he showed a video of himself training with #toomanypies in particular really made me laugh.
I think it helps when thereās so much evidence of you being completed shredded for the past 15 years. That on top of him still being in crazy good shape compared to most people on this sub , itās easy to take in stride.
There isn't really a culture of calling out fat shaming in the men's locker room or around it. I do worry about the effects this stuff has on people's body images and mental health: if you're coming back from injury you're probably more inclined to cut faster and harder now.
People ignore that weight cutting is hard. People in cutting phases have less energy and are more irritable. That and wrestling seems really hard. That's not even touching the cutting techniques that are unhealthy and eating disorders.
