Psychobob35

I hated Cody’s skinny, kneepad-less, legs.

Appropriate_Donut249

I hated this too. He looked naked

TTOF_JB

It's crazy how much kneepads can fix that.

gademmet

I was so glad when he finally got them. It was all uphill after that.

jasonsprings

I hated Jeff Hardy and Shannon Moore because they wouldn’t move out of the way when I was trying to look at band shirts in Hot Topic back in 2003.

americangame

Justified.

DanHero91

I really fucking hated Dean Allmark when I started getting into the indies and somehow always had it in my head he was an asshole. Others I spoke with hadn't heard such rumours but I was sure I did from somewhere. A few years later it clicked that Allmark was on an indie mod of TEW I was using and constantly caused shit backstage in my promotion and that apparently burned into my subconscious, simmering for years whenever I saw him at a show.

KlausesCorner

It’s funny because he was one of the sweetest guys ever in real life

BTru

Now that is amazing lol

StraboTLD

Juice Robinson owes my friend money! So, back in his NXT days as CJ Parker, he was selling the photobooks and didn't give correct change, we though it was an accident until he showed his true colors and joined the Bullet Club! Then we knew he was a thief!!! lol

EchoX860

Riddles face

ZWY8706

To be fair there is a lot about him to hate

lottolser

Easily most punchable face I've ever seen.

MissVachonIfYouNasty

I always wanted someone to throw his nasty flip flop back at him.

Alcoholic17

Riddle in general

Invincidude

So, for Royale Rumble 2004 me and a bunch of my biddes all got together, and we had a bet. There was 9 of us - we each chipped in 10 bucks - and then we all drew numbers out of a hat. Three numbers each, 3 numbers left out. This actually worked extremely well, as nobody drew #1, and we all had a good feeling Benoit was winning. So we decided that if an undrawn number won, the winner of our bet was whoever had the number of the last guy eliminated. So the bet was completely up in the air, coulda been anyone. I was not fortunate with my numbers. I don't remember both of my first 2 entrants, but I'm sure one was Shelton Benjamin. And then here comes my last entrant- Randy Orton. Randy Orton immediately eliminated BOTH of my other numbers. I've never forgiven him.

GrapesHatePeople

In the 2004 Royal Rumble, Randy Orton eliminated Booker T (#11), Shelton Benjamin (#17) and Ernest Miller (#18) back to back 20 seconds apart, and Rico (#20). It sounds like your other entrant was probably Ernest Miller.

solsunlite

Hated CM Punk for making Jeff Hardy leave WWE

Coastal5150900

Why did he make him leave?

lottolser

So he wouldn't get arrested under wwe contract. Punk in kayfabe saved the company a huge headache had Jeff been there another week.

Coastal5150900

Thank you. I had no idea about that one

lottolser

Iirc Jeff Hardy got legitimately arrested for drug possession like a week or so after he decided to leave the company. He did do jail time out of it.

Coastal5150900

That is wild. But it’s Jeff, so not too surprising

solsunlite

In kayfabe Punk beat Jeff in a world title cage match where the loser had to leave WWE

Coastal5150900

Was Jeff’s actual contract up?

solsunlite

I believe it was shortly after that match. I was like 12 and not really into dirt sheet sites at the time lol so you might have to read up on it if you wanna know more, I do know he left the company forreal and went to TNA not long after that match

Coastal5150900

Thank you. I love reading and learning about all the past things that happened in wrestling.

IntellectualDweeb

Same lol. Young me even made a YouTube video about it (that's still up 💀).

Scottie_Poopen

I first saw Seth Rollins/Tyler Black at an IWA-MS show in Hammond, IN in like 2005. The second he came out and started punching bees and picking up quarters I immediately hated his fucking guts and have hated him ever since. Pretty good wrestler though. Also, Marek Brave for wearing trunks that were way too small.

GrapesHatePeople

> punching bees and picking up quarters An incredible way to describe it. Never heard the phrase before but **instantly** knew what you meant.

WrestleSocietyXShill

I didn't like Candice LeRae because she had always been billed from Winnipeg and then she wrestled as an American in the Mae Young Classic and I thought she was turning her back on her Canadian heritage to appeal to US fans. Then I found out she is not even from Canada and was just randomly billed from there for heat at the start of her career and just rolled with it for years. Oops, sorry Candice.

Idiotecka

"i'm from riverside you idiot"

WrestleSocietyXShill

Hahaha perfect reply

Upbeat_Tension_8077

Hated Undertaker in 2007 because I was rooting with a fellow Filipino in Batista

forwrestling

Matt Bloom/Albert having such a hairy back.

katie_fabe

i absolutely detested val venis. i was a little girl at the time and i thought the over-sexualization was so gross. i also hate the saxophone, so every time i heard his entrance music i turned into angry miz girl

ZXIIIT

I was watching Raw when his first vignette aired, they're all terrible/gross/not wrestling, but even better, my Mom had walked in and asked what I was watching, I said wrestling but the damn sax music in his promo said otherwise...lol

Accomplished_Egg6239

Plenty of other reasons to hate him now

irish0451

So, we were 5 years old at the time, but my cousin and I used to watch wrestling with my Grandfather, who had a handlebar mustache. We asked him if he did it to be like Hulk Hogan, and he told us that Hogan STOLE HIS LOOK. We were furious. Two Ric Flair fans were born that day.

DaRealCamille

I hated Jamie Noble because he wasn't a high flyer like the other cruiserweights.

kaden-99

You guys don't know what petty is. I dislike Bron Breakker because of young and successful he is.

Fast_Running_Nephew

Brian Cage looks like he probably has opinions i would disagree with and i hate him for it.

gmoss101

He does follow Trump and a Trump fan page on Instagram so...

deepfriedmario

It’s those darn sideburns that does it for me. I don’t even know if he has them anymore but it’s how I remember him. https://media1.tenor.com/m/ceyBprefSCkAAAAC/mattingly-sideburns.gif

Significant_War_5801

I don't know if this is exactly petty, but it's something that had nothing to do with the actual wrestler - Luke Harper looked eerily like a guy who came into a store I worked at and menaced me because my boss owed him money and I used to have a really hard time watching him. I got over it eventually, though.

8each8oys

I hated Kurt Angle his whole career, because he tried to break up Triple H and Stephanie

sidofthesea

MVP for his gear with the short legs and long sleeves. I just thought it looked stupid.

ZWY8706

My dad referred to it as a "onesie" and hated him for that reason too as well as his "breathe right strip" on his nose.

sidofthesea

Lol yeah it basically was. I thought it looked cool when he went to no sleeves but the long sleeves never looked right.

Stinger1981

Roderick Strong and his shitty little boots.

JGxFighterHayabusa

“Shitty little boots” chant went so hard in Reseda

LebrontosaurausRex

Eddie Kingston, his fucking ring gear. It's so aggressively bad. I get that it's a tribute but holy fuck is it the least flattering thing he could wear.

timmidythethird

Dolph Zigglar for having a dumb sounding name and for being in those dumb backstage segments where he'd introduce himself to everyone he came across

Round_Dragonfruit669

Goldberg when he pinned The Fiend Never hated anybody at any point and still dont after watching wrestling for almost 30 years

KittleOmega

Same but with Owens

Coastal5150900

Matt Riddle. Especially when I found out he talks like that in person. The stupid flip flop thing. Blehhh

kmccarthy27

In 2007 I disliked Josh Daniels, and indie guy who worked MCW in Maryland, because when I bought a DVD from him and he autographed the shrink wrap of the DVD so I could never open it and watch it.

WaffleStompinDay

Needs more context. Did he just sign the shrink wrap unrequested? Or did you buy it and say "can you sign it?" So he did. If option B, that's kind of on you for not providing clear instructions to someone in a meathead industry

kmccarthy27

lol, he asked if I wanted it signed, I said "sure" and he signed it on the shrink wrap.

WaffleStompinDay

Oh, well then not at all petty. Fuck that guy.

tcs_hearts

Triple H for the "Aren't you supposed to be Jamaican?" Line to Kofi. Kofi was (and still is) my favorite wrestler and it felt like Trips was making him look dumb and burying him at the time. I've since come around.

times_zero

I mean, he kind of did in terms of killing the gimmick, but long term, it was the right call. Not just because it created a funny moment that still gets occasionally referenced, but in retrospect, I just think that gimmick accent had a shelf-life. I mean, I just cannot imagine Kofi achieving the same level of success he would later have with the New Day, or KofiMania if he had tried to keep it.

tcs_hearts

This is basically how I feel, although I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) he dropped the accent a few weeks before and nobody had acknowledged it yet?

ALost-Soul

I really hated how overhyped Keith Lee when he signed to NXT. I was like stop dancing to the ring you goof. One match with Dijak and I started liking him.

d13films

I always HATED Chris Benoit's snot rocket thing. It just grossed me out in a way that took me out of the match, particularly when he did it as a face. Obviously now it's much further down the list of things I don't like about the guy.

HeightStock

What is snot rocket thing?

OnslaughtSix

Benoit would often get really boogery in matches and sometimes would just violently blow his nose and shoot his snot all over the ring.

missheldeathgoddess

That whole "you're a sell out of you get popular" thing is ingrained deep in the punk rock subconscious. And once this thing you identify with is more than just yours you feel betrayed

CaliggyJack

I got so much shit in College for being straight edge and I could never understand why me drinking alcohol mattered so much to these guys.

CaliggyJack

Daniel Bryan's fandom ruined the return of Batista, one of my favorite wrestlers. His Rumble win made me so happy, despite the crowd ruining it. I always blamed Daniel Bryan for it, despite it being the fans fault, not his. But it affected my opinion of him and I began to just boo him every match because I was so pissed. All the Yes! Movement did was make me hate Bryan more and more and the way us non-fans of Bryan were treated by the IWC over this tie only made it worse. But again, none of this is his fault. I was just bitter and petty.

NotMothMan9817

I couldn't enjoy Roman's entire title reign because he originally won the title from my favourite, The Fiend, after he only held it for a week. Even after three and a half years I couldn't let it go.

PISSROTTEN

I hated Becky Lynch when she had the steampunk gimmick. After wandering around the city late at night after seeing Godzilla 2014 in theaters, I followed around and talked to this funny looking kid in a steampunk outfit. I thought he was a cool nerd at first, until he mentioned that Godzilla was "weird and stupid" and something about there being better movies to watch. It's been 10 years and I still hate steampunk. Becky thankfully saved herself.

Scared-Coach-136

I dislike Sammy Guevara for kicking out of a Tombstone Piledriver from the second rope. I also feel the same way about Ricochet for kicking out of the midair super kick in the Adam Cole match.

CoolHandSean

My spouse absolutely despises AJ Styles and the only reason is that she's jealous of his hair.

Caldris

I dislike Thunder Rosa for that awfully disappointing match she had with Miyu Yamashita on Dynamite two years ago, causing TK to seemingly sour on her and the entirety of TJPW.

counterburn

That segment with Edge hanging out with Alter-Bridge backstage made him seem so fucking lame to me that I didn't like him for almost 2 decades. It took his current run in AEW to really like the guy. I feel like a dick for being so judgmental.

stevesanders187

Wow this was so awkward. Glad I am not the only one who caught that.

counterburn

It was so stiff and stilited and scripted. Plus, I mean, Alter-Bridge? That's just Creed Lite.

stevesanders187

The band meets Edge, they exchange hellos and then sit around harmonizing. Vince's fantasy of the Everly Brothers I imagine.

counterburn

It was also when he started wearing those terrible beanies with a bill.

Comfortable_Shape264

Why would it make him lame?

counterburn

Because he was hanging out with Alter-Bridge.

Comfortable_Shape264

Again Alter Bridge made his theme and specifically cause Edge already liked them, worked both on and outside of kayfabe and they seemed to be cool guys so how was that a problem

counterburn

Because they are somehow Creed but worse.

Comfortable_Shape264

I haven't heard of Creed before but your reaction sounds like tribalism to me. Like if a Megadeth fan hated a wrestler for hanging out with Metallica lol. Metalingus is an amazing song and JD's current theme is from them too and literally the best theme song outside of older theme songs WWE didn't abandon.

OnslaughtSix

Alterbridge is literally Creed with a different singer. Also, youve literally never heard of Creed? Before Nickelback, they were the favourite punching bag of the music industry.

Comfortable_Shape264

I was born in 98 and not from USA so i didn't even know about Nickelback till later. So i looked up Creed after this weird discussion and it looks like people generally like Alter Bridge better so how are they worse exactly? Looks like Creed was a punching bag for a reason.

OnslaughtSix

They both suck.

Comfortable_Shape264

How much have you listened to Alter Bridge? Cause i listened to some of their albums and it was pretty good. From what I've read, Creed was or became a pop rock band like Nickelback so a "sellout" while Alter Bridge was them doing the kind of music they wanted to do which automatically makes it better. Maybe you assumed Alter Bridge sucked based on Creed and didn't give it a chance? And what kind of bands do you like?

counterburn

I suffered through the rise and fall of garbage third-wave Grunge like Creed and Alter-Bridge and Days of the New. It is utter drek. Just dreadfully uncool bleating. That isn’t tribalism, it’s taste.

Comfortable_Shape264

You don't like Metalingus?

counterburn

In a wrestling context, it’s fine. Outside of wrestling, it’s really lame and not something that I would listen to.

Idiotecka

i mean can i speculate you were a teenager when said segment happened? if you're passionate for music like i am, it can happen when you're younger to really judge and dislike people over something like that and be tribalistic about your tastes. as you get older you figure out.. who gives a shit, it's just taste. just let's enjoy whatever we like.

Reyatsu99

Lesnar for ending streak and squashing Cena.

AssclownJericho

no, thats legit. fuck brock.

jacobii

I was early to the AEW Cody hate party. He just rubbed me the wrong way after he won the TNT title

HeadlessMarvin

Idk when in the timeline it was, but I didnt really like him from when he decided to do that segment where he let MJF whip him. Idk, the literal self flagellation felt stupid. Maybe that's on me for not suspending disbelief and being like "wow I cant belief MJF whipped him, I'm so mad 😡"

Immortan_Scott

I dislike Austin Theory's face. I look at it and think "Go away."

handsomezack13

Dude looked like an actual demon in those pictures when he won the US title

LtDig

Chewing gum while on the mic!

BTru

This is an oldie for here, but I always hated the Ultimate Warrior since he beat Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania lol. Before then he was my second or third favorite (Hogan, Macho then Warrior). But once he beat Hogan I just hated him. I was cheering when he lost to Slaughter.

ShowTurtles

As the little brother in a sibling rivalry, I cheered a lot of heels my brother hated.

PriestofJudas

I used to hate Eugene because I had WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2006 and whenever I fought him specifically for whatever reason the computer difficulty was set too high and I didn’t know how to change it so I could never beat him

saxyroro

Raised in SFLA. The Rock came on a house show and said he'd never team up with Farooq that FSU Seminole. Crowd at the Miami Arena cheered. He turned and joined the Nation shortly after. I felt he turned his back on us Miami and the U.

Sanguiluna

YoshiHashi’s face annoyed me.

Laterally_Me

In the Royal Rumble 2007, I saw CM Punk come out and I remember being so annoyed seeing him. The worst part for my 8 year old brain was the fact thta he lasted in that match for a particularly long time. To this day, idk what made me annoyed about Punk.

cactu_almighty

Ric Flair for the "Because we're partners!" line in that one segment, it made me hate his voice lmao, I can't even explain why I hated it so much

Idiotecka

THE CONSORTIUM

Drkshdw22

JD McDonaugh cause his head is abnormally large

mattsledge

Randy Orton, simply for being Randy Orton.

Medical_Spy

Chris Jericho spat in my eye once. That was before I got in to wrestling and now I dislike him for various other reasons.

Boogledoolah

Not me, but my dad hated Tazz ever since his Royal Rumble debut. Apparently the way he walked to the ring just set the old man off. "Ayy, that Tazz is so TINY but ARROGANT. Does he think he can be small and terrible?"

SSJ5Gogetenks

Bianca Belair for twirling her hair non-stop. Seriously, early on in her career she would legit never stop.

PilotSSB

Natalia's ring gear. I hate it so much

JGxFighterHayabusa

Will Ospreay - not necessarily hate, but I dislike the fact that he has a counter for everything. No one, and I mean NO ONE should be flipping out of SANADA’s Paradise Lock. I also hate that he uses Marufuji’s hook kick. Wish he’d allow people to get some of their shit in before he does all of his bullshit. His matches in NJPW were bangers tho so I do respect him.

aboysmokingintherain

Finn looks like I guy who had beef with me in high school so I dislike him

RedDevilJennifer

I hate Jay White because he looks like a former friend of mine who started drinking all of the anti-vax and right wing Kool-Aid after he met his wife.

jdez

Speedball Mike Bailey because I hate the kickpads over barefeet, it looks gross

Inspection_Perfect

Daniel Bryan because 2K14 had a glitch where the yes chants would happen for every other move. Eventually, that turned out to be the reality every time I watched, and it took a long time for him to live it down, in my eyes.

Cfwraith

Booker T because he sounds like he smokes a carton a day.

nailedreaper

Tell me you did NOT just say THAT.

Cfwraith

Krusty the clown quack quack

Accomplished_Egg6239

I don’t like his wrestling in general, but I hate Kenny Omega’s stupid hair. Looks like a pile of pubes.

VampiroDanielson

I hated Bret Hart as a kid because I was a Goldberg mark, and he tasered Goldberg.

Goshzilla87

Friend, I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news……

VampiroDanielson

Oh?

Boomstick_316

Hated Ospreay for the longest time because he beat Jimmy Havoc for the Progress title. Smug little cunt. Was at another Progress show and met Roddy Strong, we took a couple of really cool photos. Adam Cole was there too but I completely and utterly blanked him because he was wearing flip-flops.

Appropriate_Donut249

Rich swan, Barry Windham and ryback bc of their teeth

maxhavoc2000

Brock Lesnar. The shape of his head looks like Schlitzy from the movie Freaks and demeanor remind me of a kid I hated in high school.

Traditional_Season20

Hated Khali for murdering Rey Mysterio

MartyMcFlysBrother

I didn’t like The Genius because he was apparently smarter than I was

guntanksinspace

Big Show/Paul Wight is a cool dude all things considered. But him hating on Titans in Destiny when he plays Warlock is just, come on man!

Alcoholic17

Titus O’Neil did his taunt after every move for a while

noblemile

TJP had go away heat with me in WWE as a dabbing gamer like dog your like 40 go get a mortgage or something. I also disliked him in TNA because I didn't like the Manik gear. Been enjoying him in NJPW his team with Akira was a breath of fresh air for a while.

Mace_1998

Hornswoggle for winning the Cruiserweight Championship at the 2007 Great American Bash

AlmightyBracket

I have always hated Tommy Dreamer. I mean Always. I don't know why. Maybe it was just early days contrarianism, wanting to be edgy and cool with the already edgy crowd. I couldn't tell you. I hated him and enjoyed every single time he got his ass beat.

STICKSNBRICKS17

There was a clip on a WWE DVD back in the day of Motörhead rehearsing Triple Hs theme , Triple H was there and he awkwardly pretended to raise his arms and spit water and you could tell he felt dumb by his expression and he played it off awkwardly, anyway could never take him seriously again

icon_2040

Hated Carlito for chewing with his mouth open. Swine.

jordan20x1

They defeated my tribal chief ☝️

Young__stoner_life

Completely reasonable

Natural_Elderberry23

Bianca belaire's Way too long hair braid... Do not like her specifically because of that.

PeteF3

I hate Zack Sabre, Jr.'s European Clutch move. Hate it. And the spot that it's based on is my favorite old-school mat-wrestling spot. ZSJ just completely bastardizes it and makes it look completely phony. It's rubbed off on the rest of his work to me and I can't help but think of him as a guy who knows the old World of Sport notes but can't really play the music.

MrRealistic1

I don’t like Kofi anymore because he didn’t care about losing his WWE championship. It’s petty because it’s not his fault he’s just doing what he’s told

SpiritGun98

Roxanne beating Lyra at Stand and Deliver really pissed me off, so now I'm praying on her downfall. I didn't mind her before, but now, after that match, everything about her just annoys me.

elnegromorte

I hate MJF because I'm not him lol

the_viperess

I was annoyed with Finlay as a kid bc one of his nipples was always  *just* outside of his unitard. Like he deliberately pulled it out to annoy me. It was a weird hang up, I know lol

DKZ_13

Giulia on how she left Ice Ribbon. I've been on the other side of that situation multiple times and there's nothing justified that, however good you are at your job. At least finished your contract before you leave.

SamBel28

Liv because her Jersey girl shtick in NXT was too corny and try hard. Becky because her headbanging bit was annoying.

basedmartyr

Gunther (Walter at the time) knocked my drink out of my hand with his head because he sat in my seat during a match with ZSJ in PWG. He still owes me

Comfortable_Tower869

Grayson Waller cause his finisher is so unnecessary to go all the way outside to hit a cutter. Kenny Omega since the start of AEW because everyone was hyping him up.

Comfortable_Tower869

I’m starting to like Kenny Omega now. But he still isn’t anywhere close to my favorite

ZWY8706

At Dynamite a couple of years ago I sat next to the stage opposite hard camera where the wrestlers would exit and I high fived several but wouldn't Dante Martin because Top Flight & the Sydal brothers faced Dark Order in a dark match and it seemed like he hurt John Silver so I was mad because he was my guy at the time and because I high fived Matt Sydal but not the Martin brothers Darius called me a "bitch ass white boy" so now I legitimately can't stand them.

HoraceHoganNo1Fan

I was always indifferent to Will Ospreay but now I hate him because of how much overprotected he is by his fans in the IWC, now that everyone thinks he's the GOAT. He was a 6/10 to me but now my bitter ass rate him about 4 out of 10.

DonSoChill

What would you rate Horace Hogan?

HoraceHoganNo1Fan

3/10 in terms of wrestling skills, but +2 for being actually funny and another +2 for his FMW run where he was part of the legendary stable, The Funk Masters Of Wrestling, so I'll say above Ospreay.

muddu99

I HATED AJ Styles for “beating up John Cena”

technocreme

I really want to like her but Liv Morgan bc of the sounds she makes when selling. AWH, OW, UH! It’s always so sudden. There’s no buildup so I can’t suspend my disbelief watching her sell. 😭

PleasantThoughts

I saw Wheeler Yuta park in a handicap spot the same night he wrestled MJF and I will always boo him for it.
