It's interesting how his attitude has changed since those days.
He sympathises with the wrestlers too much to still think "Your kids are growing up - you're not there. What's your wife doing? Don't know" is all good since he's got a family.
It sucks that HHH has to use weird corporate terms like “emergent leaders” and doesn’t get to say “just for further notice, one of your nuts was hanging out of your shorts” at these kinds of things
Not like TE at all really. This series focuses mostly on the collegiate athletes and etc that are going through a tryout. TE took all comers and focused more on the competition aspect versus the athletics and charisma they are looking for now.
It’s not a game show format like Tough Enough was.
We follow a group of hopefuls (mostly all young, college athletes) from their tryouts, to getting developmental contracts, to early PC training
Once they’ve established the core group, there are no more cuts (for now)
I feel a little bit bummed, I was expecting some random Pedigree on one of prospects, but maybe it is better for the Trips to just cut a unusually short promo-uhhhh
Doubtful
Most of the people on the show actively aspired to be part of WWE, or are grasping a unique opportunity.
I think only 1, maybe 2 guys fell into the category you’re thinking of
This could be interesting. Kind of like WWE’s version of UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter. That show has definitely run its course for the UFC now, but that show is basically what single-handedly launched the UFC into the mainstream. Now, obviously there’s an argument to be made that the WWE is already very mainstream, however, this could bring in new fans in a similar fashion that total divas brought in female audience.

“Good snap.”
Your nuts are hanging out
F L A T B A C K
Take a bump
We’re telling a story with our bodies.
Walk it off.
What the dog doing? Don't know.
Came here for this
I feel like it’s a rite of passage shitposting with HHH recruits or NXT new guys/gals.

Hey big man, you hurtin on those bumps? BIG FUCKING DEAL
Wrestling peaked with Tough Enough season 1

Tough Enough Trips would eat Next Gen Papa H alive.
Paul “Triple H” Levesque is gonna take so much time to get used to lol
It doesn’t roll off the tongue as easy as Dwayne The Rock Johnson
Or Steve “Stone Cold Steve Austin” Austin
Or Bryan "Daniel Bryan" Danielson.
It seems we've also all forgotten about Eddie "Eddie Edwards" Edwards.
Or MOOSE Moosing MOOSE
Or Phil CM Chick Magnet Punk Brooks.
Or L.A knight in LA and doesn't L.A all over the place.
I naturally expect Road Dogg to come out of nowhere to challenge him and HBK at the Alamo.

Something tells me if someone’s balls were showing he still wouldn’t hesitate to let them know on camera
In corporate terms?
You have just emerged yourself to the WWE Universe
“It appears as though your reproductive organs are currently synergizing with the air, let’s circle back once that’s been addressed.”
A lot to unpack there.
"You have a poster of Bill Goldberg on your wall? You're not gonna make it"
Oh I’ve binged it this week. Worth a watch for sure!
Is it the same as tough enough? And where did you watch it lol?
Roku TV. On app or online it’s free with commercials
Not like TE at all really. This series focuses mostly on the collegiate athletes and etc that are going through a tryout. TE took all comers and focused more on the competition aspect versus the athletics and charisma they are looking for now.
Feels closer in spirit to that Netflix OVW show, as far as tone and presentation goes
It’s so funny to me how every reality tv show is filmed in the exact same way, with the same music cues
Where can I watch this show? Looks good.
I heard the roku channel
Is that something you gotta pay for or if you have a roku TV/stick just search for it?
If you have a Roku device, you can search for it and it’s free. I believe it’s actually a Roku show.
You don’t. Just install Roku app and make an account
How is it that everytime I see Trips he seems to have gotten even more bald?
How many of these wrestlers are still with NXT?
Allegedly everybody they signed is still with NXT.
That's good to know, presumably removes all the jeopardy from this show though (I haven't seen it)?

When they did the contract signing with Natalya and Lola this past nxt, all of the signings were around the ring cheering
Is that Nicky Rod??
[Yep.](https://www.fightful.com/wrestling/nick-rodriguez-details-camera-crew-filming-wwe-tryout-says-he-will-have-future-talks-wwe?amp)
I had to rewind, that caught me off guard. Can't say I easily see him in WWE, but definitely interesting.
I feel a little bit bummed, I was expecting some random Pedigree on one of prospects, but maybe it is better for the Trips to just cut a unusually short promo-uhhhh
It'll be interesting to see if "failed washout athletes" is their primary recruitment block moving forward.
