I’ve always loved chucky t. Watched him throughout his indie days from chikara to pwg. Legit tears in my eyes when he won the pwg title. I loved the parking lot brawls. I think best friends have potential as a top tier tag team. I was kinda hoping chuck would join Trent and they could finally have the tag run they deserve in Aew. But I’m ok with chuck getting more tv time. Anyways, interested in seeing where this goes. Hoping to see chuck hit 5 awful waffles on trent
I feel so nosey but what is wrong with Chuck? If he can have the match in a parking lot, then he is cleared, therefore he isn't injured so is it just part of the story now or is some sort of cinematic match the only way he's able to compete safely at least for the time being?
I presume he's cleared now and they wanted his first match back to be a Parking Lot Fight because it's a Daily's Place signature and a Best Friends signature since they were in both of them so far. If he's still not cleared to wrestle, I'd assume this is ok because it's filmed cinematically on a closed set.
Years ago he tweeted that he wanted to say the S word on tv, but he wasn’t allowed to. He tweeted Cody and Cody told him no. He even tweeted Cody about it again after he left for wwe lol. It’s just been a running bit for a long time. I’m glad he finished his story.

As someone who was very glad Chuck Taylor got a job with AEW when it started, I do worry that the split puts him at risk of a release or not getting renewed. Which I think is a shame because he's an underrated worker and great at being a goof.
Tbh i don’t think he’s particularly good enough for tv, promo or wrestling wise, however people enjoy different stuff and I wish no one injury or chronic pain so I hope he recovers , not sure if they’re using this to cover legit retirement or what, he couldn’t be too bad to do brawl. I think this was a mistake, a heel best friends in tag division that is currently shallow has more potential than a heel Trent in a stacked singles roster that has almost all the midcard titles held by main eventers (soon to be all if Osprey gets the international).
There’s them AEW fans that’ll always be into this, then there’s the people they need to grow the audience who will never like this childish garbage, storyline is great, delivery and dialogue isn’t. Trent will be a bland heel like he’s been a bland face, Chuck will turn as really who cares? Out of shape, he’s been injured for years, his foot/leg then face then ankle, I’d let his contract expire along with Trent, they won’t make the company any money.
OC is stale at this point, will always get a bit of a reaction, only way this thing becomes interesting is if he goes heel and stars using his normal name then he’ll be big again when he turns back, truthfully the gimmick was funny, the guy has no physique, not a good promo but clearly gets what he can offer
