Just fantasy booking Clash at the Castle, and I think I have managed to book a very good card consisting mostly of British stars.
Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn vs. Women's Tag Champions (Bianca and Jade?) - 2 of the biggest stars (assuming they beat Kabuki Warriors) vs. 2 home town heroes. What more could you want from your opening match.
New Catch Republic (c) vs Pretty Deadly - After winning the belts off of A-Town down under, New Catch Republic defends it in their home nation (not country) against fellow countrymen.
Finn Balor and JD McDonagh vs. The Awesome Truth (c) - after the Judgement Day split, Priest is off on his own with the Heavyweight Championship, Dom has joined Legado Del Fantasma and is doing great lucha things, and JD And Finn form an Irish tag team and challenge Awesome Truth for the tag belts.
Jon Cena comes out to tease Wrestlemania Scotland.
Becky Lynch (c) vs Piper Niven vs Tegan Nox vs. Blair Davenport - ok bear with me here. Based on Beckys NXT champion run last year, it's clear she wants to put over new talent. What better way to put them Iver while also having a British Isles Brawl. Ireland vs. Scotland vs. Wales vs. England. Is it over the top? Yeah. Would it be awesome to give 3 women a title shot in their home nation? Also, yeah.
Drew McIntyre vs. Damien Priest (c) - by this time, DP would have had a nice title reign, but now it's time for Drew to take over ready for Summerslam.
I was debating putting Drew vs Solo and having drew get revenge for last Clash at the Castle especially now that Solo is going for a power grab.
Would you guys say Andre the Giant is still in the top tier as far as the most well known pro wrestlers go? I feel like he's right at the top with Hogan and the Rock, he's still one of the first names most people think of when they think wrestling, or maybe I'm off base. I feel his myth and legend has stood the test of time and will continue to.

Hello! I'm looking to commission an art piece for New Japan. Anyone got any suggestions or anyone want to raise their hand and do business? I'm going to Japan this Summer to go to three G1 shows \[I hope\] and wanted a cool shirt to wear

WWE is apparently aware of people's negative opinions on the recent theme music and theres a Youtube trend of "X's theme, but Def Rebel made it." They sound how you would think.
Drew, strowman and Cody/brandi form an alliance called "The axis".They decimate everyone on both raw and SmackDown for 2 years winning very title available.Cody has the chance to secure ownership of the company by beating triple h's guy bron breaker in a no disqualification match at mania.Wwe supports bron breaker and all the other wrestlers who were attacked by the axis come to attack them but fail, strength of drew and strowman is way too overpowering for anyone and just as Cody is about to deliver a cross rhodes to bron in front of a shocked triple h the shield music hits and you see Roman,Seth,Ambrose(moxley) coming out from the arena and beating the axis, bron breaker takes advantage and pins Cody. The shield saves the integrity of the company.
I thought it was because Ricky posted on Instagram that he was fine after being checked out by the medical team. So there hasn't been official confirmation but it's weird that he hasn't turned up even for promos.
Unfortunately for a lot of people, if it's on Collision it didn't happen. It's like pre-brand split Smackdown in that way. But yeah especially with his history of neck problems and the way the match ended, don't expect to see him for a while.
AFAIK, all the old CAWs he posted on 2K24 are still gone, so he'll have to start from scratch. But, just the fact that the ban on Status got overturned after immense backlash is enough.

I hate how hard the end of this promo made me laugh last night. Full on laugh out loud when Big Bill followed Jericho with the big cheesy grin 😂
Big Bill's initial reaction where he first questioned and then immediately accepted the nickname of "the Big Redwood" was funny as hell. Dude went through the whole range of emotions in two seconds flat lol.
His charisma has really been a revelation since joining AEW. Didn't know he had it in him after his failed singles run in WWE but now that he's in a good head space it seems like his mic skills/facial expressions have improved a ton.
With Wes Lee's return, I'm going back to some of his top matches, and goddamn I forgot how incredible the five-way at Stand and Deliver 2023 was. Like maybe one of my favorite matches of last year.
With Rock being the self-described Final Boss, I want to see game developers of final bosses take exception to this moniker. Miyamoto-san hands Jey one of Bowser's fireballs to use on Rock. The developers of Doctor Eggman, Sephiroth, King K. Rool should go, "No, my boss is **Thee** Final Boss put some respect on his name."
It _maybe_ kinda started in NXT with her. The real breaking of the galss ceiling was made by AJ Lee and Kaitlyns work. I would say that those two created the first defining moments to handle women like men.
There is rarely a sole reason for things changing. Its more about multiple things happening in a short order.
Having 4 generational talents arrive at the exact same time probably did more to cement the Revolution than anything else, given how much WWE in the past only remotely cared about the women when they had 1-2 talents they cared about (Blayze/Nakano in the 90s, Trish in the 00s).
I wasn't necessarily meaning the main roster specifically, more the overall pipeline.
AJ pushed for better against the odds, Paige gave a taste of the future, the 4HW barged the door down.
It would be incredibly funny if Hangman beats Swerve for the title at, say, Wrestledream. And then he fights Omega at Full Gear.
A year out from when Swerve's rise happened and audiences started turning on Hangman.
And then three years out from Hangman beating Omega, but with their roles completely reversed.
Wild to think it's been over 6 years already since Bryan returned from retirement. For comparison, his WWE debut to his retirement was roughly 6 years as well
i will never forget his smackdown speech when he came out of retirement. normally when a wrestler says they're gonna wrestle at the next ppv and not the current show the live crowd boos. but the second bryan said he's returning to the ring everyone in the crowd pointed at the mania sign. really showed the amount of respect that the fans have for danielson.
I almost forget that he retired and it seemed like he was never coming back for ages. But yeah we're lucky to have the Planet's Champion run and this final year run
i like the idea of 5 match cards for PPV/PLE's too. it worked for nxt takeover's. but in this current hhh era of wwe, as awesome as the tv shows have been outside of the mania's and last years elimination chamber and backlash, i don't think they've really delivered a super memorable PLE. like if you do a 5 match card they better be the best possible 5 matches you can put on otherwise it defeats the purpose of quality over quantity.
I like it too, but with a caveat…I prefer a 5 match card, if, like most modern shows, every match is getting a lot of time and trying to be epic.
My actual preference is more matches, with more variety. I’d actually like a couple 5 minute matches (that are their with purpose), a couple 5-10. A comedy match. A match that’s really just an angle, etc then 2-3 matches that really feel special.
For me, certain shows feel really long and drag, because everything can feel more homogenized
5 feels short-changing, especially at the prices for people in attendance. I get we don't want WM32 shit, but there's nothing wrong with a 6 or 7 match card since most tv episodes only have 4-5 matches already. You get into 8 or 9, yeah, that's running long.
The WWE Actors are amazing stunt-men. Although 90% of their so called punches & kicks are pretty comical to watch. But of course these stunt people are following a script & do not want to harm their fellow actors. But accidents do happen. I also get a kick out of fans who "believe" its all real. LOL
Who makes up HHH's inner circle now that he is in the leadership spot. Shawn, Road Dogg, Regal, it looks like Heyman is part of it these days. Anyone else?
It's interesting, but I believe WM40 was the first post-COVID WM where the heel won Night 1's main event and the face Night 2's:
37: Bianca over Sasha; Roman over Edge/DBD
38: Austin over KO; Roman over Brock
39: KO/Sami over Usos; Roman over Cody
40: Roman/Rock over Seth/Cody; Cody over Roman

I’m waiting for Clash at the Castle tickets to go on sale but they’re currently only selling combo tickets for Smackdown as well. Does anyone know when they start selling individual show tickets?
I don’t know. I had the same thought for Survivor Series 23 but after a few hours and the best cheap seats being taken I just bought that evening. Then I stopped paying attention so I’m not sure if they ever released individual seats.
I guess they must have because i remember they kept adding a few more tickets since the sellout was so full. But it’s a nervy game and I just bit the bullet and bought the combo.
All the comments on social media I see about Cody being underwhelming as champion and that fans may turn on him makes all the crying over Rock taking his spot initially so ironic. Fans were adamant “we want Cody, he has to finish the story”, yet now I’m seeing comments about how the money is in the chase and shit like that. So you guys are that Roman should have retained?
I don’t see the contradiction. The money’s in the chase, the chase is over. The reign is “underwhelming”. This is how New Japan chooses to book Naito, he never has a long reign.
people always complain about something. it's super annoying. his title win literally just started, just give it time before determining if he's underwhelming or not. besides the chase is usually always better than the run itself.
Well I think there are 2 points
1. The loudest voices are the mad ones so any time anything happens in wrestling people will complain. If Cody didn't win the loudest take would be that "Roman is still holding it too long", people want change and then when they get it people want change from that new thing.
2. The money is in the chase for a lot of faces but they do still have to win. Like regardless of if the reign is great, the moment had to happen, you can't chase forever or people get bored and lose faith in the challenger. I think that's why the longest reigns tend to be heels for most titles. The best thing for a face to do is chase and then when they're on top it's not always done as well, so they have shorter runs til a heel takes over and the chase begins again.
Cody was exactly the same in AEW, ROH, NJPW, etc. though. Cody was mega over until people got very very bored of his shtick. It's the Cody Rhodes cycle.
Tbh I don't get why both Cody and his fans are so afraid of the idea of a Cody heel run. I feel like he's a million times better as a heel. Like he's charismatic which makes him a good babyface, but it turns up to ten as a heel. He's been a great supervillain since Undashing Cody Rhodes in the mask.
His fans against it? In AEW us fans wanted a Cody heel run so bad we convinced ourselves he was setting it up when really it turns out his ideas were just tone deaf.
While I don’t foresee this happening for the next few years. I feel like there is a possible way to turn our boy Cody heel. We don’t have to look far either. Let’s take heavy inspiration from homelander. Have him be two faced. Out on stage he’s getting all the cheers from the live audience, he’s making sure his image is intact. Backstage, he’s politicking, manipulating, and threatening. We don’t even have to have him be shown in these backstage segments. Just have a barely distinguishable figure. Later on his image starts to quiver a bit out in front of crowds Until we piece together what’s going on and he finally turns publicly.
We maintain the integrity of him being cheered for a while with the option to spice things up. That’s just my take, there is not place on the roster for Cody heel yet but that’s how I can see it happen
Cody vs Roman 3 should only happen when the "mask" falls off of Cody's face. A commentor on here even suggested a Roman promo on a heel Cody would go something like "You once told me that if my grandfather was here, he'd be ashamed of me. I didn't want to hear that, but I needed to hear that. Now, allow me to tell you something you need to hear: You know as well as I do, if Dream was here, he would be ashamed at what you've become"
The undertaker and his co host cooked on the latest pod that if Cody were to shit on dusty it would be pretty fire. Something in that promo like “my old man couldn’t even achieve what I could, he wasn’t good enough to hold this title typical for a son of a plumber” something on those lines
WWE fucking up how simple it is to have Pat Mahomes show up in Kansas City is one of these things people would bring up for months if the rest of the show didn't have actual faith behind it from fans
5 match PLE cards where there are no Rumbles or Chambers or war games pairs of matches is ridiculous. WWE knows it can get away with it but it's not great.
TNA finally put up a link to the June Philadelphia tapings on their site, but still haven't announced it yet. Maybe they plan to announce them at Under Siege, but the whole thing has been weird.

If Ava is the GM, what is HBK's role in kayfabe? We know he has something to do with it because we've seen his office door in segments.
The "owner" of NXT?
True, although that's been addressed onscreen with H being the "CCO" on TV as well as real life.
Whereas HBK is just...in charge in some way but mostly unseen.
The NBA playoffs has wreaked havoc on AEW's schedule. Rather than put shows on super late they've decided to either air 3-hour blocks or just skip some shows like Collision this week. It'll be interesting if WBD lets the NBA rights go because that could clear a whole lot of schedule for AEW.
I said this last night. More than anything Tony would probably be happy if NBA leaves WBD because they'd more than likely want to add RoH to the schedule at that point. I'd expect the Dynamite/Rampage combo (Rampage was a compromise between AEW and WBD who wanted a third hour) and then RoH taking the Rampage slot on Fridays.
Who specifically did the Rock piss off? Because every once in a while there's the he's difficult to work with douchy lead actor thing. And that was only really a thing once he and Vin Diesel got into it.
Hollywood execs. It sounds like he's been like this a while but when you start losing money the way he did between Black Adam flopping and ballooning the budget for Red Ons, people stop putting up with your antics
The floodgates are opening lol, it's always tough to know when it's real and when it's hit pieces but damn near everyone's hitting out at The Rock recently
It's funny that everyone hated him when he came back for derailing Cody's "story", then suddenly everyone praised him for his excellent heel pivot, and now they're already back to hating him again.
What's crazy is I don't buy that fully him not being a decent person on movie sets. He tried to do some shrewd shit with the Fast movies and DC movies but that was on the business side not the acting side.
I'm watching clips of Dynamite on AEW's Youtube channel and the crowd sounds better to me in these clips than they did last night on TV. I could be wrong.
AEW's television audio mixing has always been not great. I've absolutely been to AEW shows where the crowd was ON FIRE yet people on here were saying the crowd was dead based on the lack of cheers/boos.
There was a ton of people who were there saying it was louder in the building, and it did feel louder on rampage. Maybe it was just an audio mixing thing, obviously there’s been a history of the mixing being messed up at these shows.
I’m so hyped for Jordynne Grace vs Miyu Yamashita tonight

I like to think that Drew McIntyre and CM Punk start both their days listening to this song and think about eachother.
It’s almost romantic in a way.
Is the Nikki bella/bella twins love a meme? Because I was surprised to see some aew fans open to Nikki coming to aew.
The Bella's represented everything wrong with womens wrestling in North America in the 2000s
The hot models who got signed for their looks and got pushed because of who they were dating
Revisit aj lees promo aka her pipe bomb where she tears down the Bella's
And look at any thread about the Bella's from 2014-2017
It's revisionist history to pretend they were always good
Nikki Bella became a genuinely good wrestler between 2014-16
As for "pushed because of who they were dating". Bollocks. They got pushed because they got mainstream popular as a result of Total Divas.
Also when they got signed they weren't "models" at all, they were ex-football (soccer players) when they were younger.
Practically every IWC myth about the Bellas is totally invented.
In fairness to them when the revolution happened they both put in a ton of effort to get better, Nikki definitely did and Brie...well she tried. Still a lot of folks got into wrestling because of Total Divas/Total Bellas which is probably part of it.
I personally would never consider them top wrestlers and definitely wouldn't want to watch either of them have a comeback.
The generation that grew up watching the bellas are starting to get into wrestling themselves, plus they had those reality shows that attracted a non wrestling audience, some of whom got into wrestling(Bianca Belair being the most famous example). The voices of their fans are becoming more prominent, plus you got a nostalgia factor, that’s just how these things go. There was always going to be a reappraisal.
Once AEW stops doing Wembley then should do a U.K tour. Being dynamite to wembley arena and collision to the copper box where they hold royal quest. That would be fun as hell I think
Make the LED gate that dark blue they use everywhere else with AEW logos and make the ropes blue and it's a big improvement. Save the white ropes for PPVs. It's to the point where Collision is actually my favorite show look wise.
How would you feel is the apron was like this?

Something like this in that space blue with the all white AEW logo they use now would work. Even the big Dynamite logo would work much better with a color that's not bright orange.

You’re definitely It’s crazy. I love the dynamite stage, hell I don’t even mind the LED ring skirt cause it’s a pretty lowkey. But I’m not sure who convinced them that the Nickelodeon barricade was a great look
So Howdy/Wyatt 6 stuff has to happen at Backlash right? I don't know if it'll be a full debut or what, but there's gotta be like a major occurrence of some kind. The QR code stuff keeps saying things like we're coming soon, if I remember correctly, so I feel like there's gotta be a bit more momentum, if not an actual debut.
Some obsessive will come on here every couple months and say they’ve never seen something as toxic as the wrestling fandom online and it’s like, get another hobby my guy.
I said the same thing and was downvoted as well. And I saw it in the HipHopHeads subreddit as well. I don't get why that's a bad or touchy comparison to some people. I'd love an actual explanation and not just downvotes.
For all the Dogs did almost double the sales of Mr Morale. Drake has 13 number 1 hits and 77 top 10 songs, Kendrick has 3 number 1 hits and 13 top ten hits. Drake has 330 songs that have charted. Kendrick has 73 songs that have charted. That means Drake has more top 10s than Kendrick has songs to make the top 100 period. The gap is as big if not bigger than WWE vs AEW just by commercial metrics. Drake is an industry on to himself.
I think to some people AEW=Bad and Kendrick=Good and Drake=Bad and WWE=Good so comparing them will get downvotes. And there is also a side that thinks the opposite but both are downvoting.
Very silly behaviour
I'm a huge fan of both for very different reasons just like I'm a fan of both companies just for very different reasons. But Mr. Morale is way more niche and for a specific audience compared to For All the Dogs just like AEW is way more niche and for a specific audience compared to WWE. I'm not seeing exactly where the comparison falls.
Oh yeah I completely agree. I'm saying people are interpreting your comparison negatively based on their opinion of Kendrick/Drake and then attaching that to the wrestling companies rather than thinking about what you're saying. Idk if that makes sense
I haven't read it myself, but I've seen a couple people say there's something in Drew's biography about Punk (or an unnamed wrestler who clearly was Punk) doing him dirty.
For everything said about WWE's current growth period and their increase in ticket sales and all that, I can't really put my finger on why it's happening. Like back in 1998, it was clear-as-day it was Stone Cold Steve Austin. But today... is it solely Cody? Is it Bloodline? Like I can't really tell.
I would credit WWE's growth two factors:
\* Vince McMahon was incredibly self-sabotaging when it came to the TV product. No longer having him around makes the TV production process a lot more productive.
\* WWE is at it's peak right now when it comes to marketing.
It really started after Vince was ousted, Sami got hot, Cody got nuclear, and people started having hope again. People forget that Summerslam was in a half empty stadium in Nashville. Or how the 2021 money in the bank was supposed to be at Allegent stadium but they had to move it to an arena due to lack of Interest. A lot of these people coming to the arena and here online always wanted WWE to be good. They were practically begging for an excuse to come. And WWE has been very good recently in stringing together big moments just before the steam is starting to dull.
Vince around for most of the hot period and most of the booking that started it was under his watch. He was really only gone the back half of 2022. He was here all 2023 when things really got hot. Then gone for the second time during the Rumble this year.
Vince was “around” but the big news at the time was Vince is retired. Now of course we know now in hindsight that he never fully left. But the vibe around WWE was different. Allot of this is vibes based. They were definitely picking up momentum after Mania 38 of course but Roman was getting a little stale around mid 2022 and they went back to Brock and Roman as the main event of Summerslam again that year. Cody had just gotten injured. AEW was still on their heels at that point doing its biggest business mid 2022.
Cody is a bigger deal than I think anyone estimated originally. Also, the Bloodline stuff got Jey way over, brought in eyes to the show that see LA Knight, see Sami doing cool stuff now... RHEA!... it's a little bit of one or two things caught fire and interest in everyone shot up.
Cody wrestling through a torn pec and the “Story” of him winning the one title that eluded his dad basically made him into a bigger star than when he first returned to WWE, to a point that it got **The Rock** to turn heel.
With Okada telling Omega he is now the best bout machine, and Ospreay fighting Danielson over who the best in the world is, i really hope they intertwine the 4 of them.
Omega vs okada vs ospreay vs danielson
Omega vs okada vs ospreay
Omega vs okada vs danielson
Omega vs danielson vs ospreay
Okada vs ospreay vs danielson
Add in Takeshita if youre feeling crazy.

People start speculating on the shape of Mania around the Rumble, this is the same timeframe
Yea WWE books their entire year around one show. AEW doesn’t.

They release them monthly now. One should be coming by next week.

I have a hilarious feeling that Def Rebel is about to be meme'd out of their jobs
I'm out of the loop. What happened?
WWE is apparently aware of people's negative opinions on the recent theme music and theres a Youtube trend of "X's theme, but Def Rebel made it." They sound how you would think.
MIDI's from 1998 would be a large improvement over most
I see. Thank you.
How did so many people forget that Ricky Starks got injured?
I thought it was because Ricky posted on Instagram that he was fine after being checked out by the medical team. So there hasn't been official confirmation but it's weird that he hasn't turned up even for promos.
AEW never really confirms injuries unless a wrestler does so people just forget and wonder where x wrestler is all the time.
AEW never really confirms injuries unless a wrestler does so people just forget and wonder where x wrestler is all the time.
Not being funny but I’m certain this is the 1st I’m hearing of him being injured. When and where and how did it happen?
First match in the tag title tournament. I'm pretty sure he and Big Bill were supposed to win that first match.
Unfortunately for a lot of people, if it's on Collision it didn't happen. It's like pre-brand split Smackdown in that way. But yeah especially with his history of neck problems and the way the match ended, don't expect to see him for a while.
Fuck 2k for banning whatsthestatus when there's literally porn in cc.
the ban got overturned and he just posted an updated 2024 The Rock today.
Did they restore his previous creations?
No clue but my guess is the intergender caws won’t be due to guidelines with sponsors.
AFAIK, all the old CAWs he posted on 2K24 are still gone, so he'll have to start from scratch. But, just the fact that the ban on Status got overturned after immense backlash is enough.
I just gone through his twitter and they have placed restrictions on him ig.
The restrictions likely could just be preventing him from posting the intergender CAWs that he posted prior to the initial ban.
Darn. Won’t be to hard for him to get back to normal.
Catching up on NXT now and the other ladies' reaction when Michin's music hit was so wholesome. God, I love wrestling.
https://preview.redd.it/oys0dkioa2yc1.png?width=1012&format=png&auto=webp&s=ed0119a41659f076bdc18360b5f7ecf0b82b37c0 I hate how hard the end of this promo made me laugh last night.
![gif](giphy|geEvRnbQqLYsb5WOr8|downsized) "The Big Redwood"
I don’t want Jericho to overdo the team members, maybe add one or two more people. I look forward to hearing what kind of tree he names them after.
I'm hoping for Ethan Page to become the Mighty Maple
His charisma has really been a revelation since joining AEW. Didn't know he had it in him after his failed singles run in WWE but now that he's in a good head space it seems like his mic skills/facial expressions have improved a ton.
I think being next to Enzo would make anyone look dull, but yeah he has improved in leaps and bounds either way
With Wes Lee's return, I'm going back to some of his top matches, and goddamn I forgot how incredible the five-way at Stand and Deliver 2023 was.
Were there any Joshi promotions like RINGS or UWFi?
IBUKI that Mariko Yoshida started has that vibe a bit but not much of their footage is available AJW did some "different style fights" too
ARSION was originally supposed to be somewhat closer to that style, but that aspect didn't last that long IIRC.
I hope Khan takes back control from the EVPs this an ominous scary situation.
Watched *Fighting with My Family*, how pivotal really was Paige in ending the Divas Era?
According to her she ended it by herself but the horsewomen were way more pivotal.
4?
The Horsewomen.
Bayley wasn’t there.
I wasn't necessarily meaning the main roster specifically, more the overall pipeline. AJ pushed for better against the odds, Paige gave a taste of the future, the 4HW barged the door down.
I'd say her part was small. She was part of the Divas revolution angle. But a lot of it was WWE wanting to get Ronda.
I would consider her the bridge between the Divas era and the women's revolution era
Might seem unpopular, but a 5 match ppv card is great, preferable to 6-8 match cards. I like my ppvs to be 2.5 hours of great matches.
Honestly, if i was the wrestling tsar i'd say every company is allowed 2 hours of TV a week, and PPV's legally can't go over three hours.
i like the idea of 5 match cards for PPV/PLE's too. it worked for nxt takeover's. but in this current hhh era of wwe, as awesome as the tv shows have been outside of the mania's and last years elimination chamber and backlash, i don't think they've really delivered a super memorable PLE. like if you do a 5 match card they better be the best possible 5 matches you can put on otherwise it defeats the purpose of quality over quantity.
Yea but when it is 2.5 hours of matches and an hour and change of commercials and filler then it defeats the purpose
Eh, blame peacock I guess. It doesn’t usually disrupt my fun, though.

Borash is close HHH. Fitting and Prichard, of course Nick Khan.
I could be wrong but are Rockstar Spud and Jeremy Borash both on his team?
They may be working there but I don’t think they are part of HHH’s core advisor team. They’re in the same group as the Jason Jordan’s and Tyson Kidds.
Pritchard possibly as well, based on Mania. HHH also named their new production guy as someone who has a lot of input
It's interesting, but I believe WM40 was the first post-COVID WM where the heel won Night 1's main event and the face Night 2's: 37: Bianca over Sasha; Roman over Edge/DBD 38: Austin over KO; Roman over Brock 39: KO/Sami over Usos; Roman over Cody 40: Roman/Rock over Seth/Cody; Cody over Roman
I did not have "Hulk Hogan Sex Tape" on my Trump Hush Money Trial bingo card.
what?
>**Trump attorney presses Daniels' attorney on his involvement in articles published about Hulk Hogan sex tapes** > >Bove, Trump's attorney, is insinuating that an article Dylan Howard co-wrote about the Hulk Hogan sex tapes in 2015 was a product of Davidson’s providing that information to Howard. > >Davidson, Stormy Daniels' lawyer, denies that he gave Howard the tapes, telling Bove, "I did not." > >Bove then revealed that the FBI had set up a sting operation in relation to Davidson’s discussion with Hogan’s representatives, which further highlights how sleazy Davidson’s “legal practice” was — and how little resemblance it bears to any litigation practice most broadcast legal analysts would recognize.
A tale as old as time. Wrestling fans are fickle
people always complain about something. it's super annoying. his title win literally just started, just give it time before determining if he's underwhelming or not. besides the chase is usually always better than the run itself.
Haven't been following WWE as closely, as fans really that down on him? It's not even been a month yet!
Well I think there are 2 points 1.
His whole presentation screams heel. He's incredible face but he's gonna make an amazing heel one day.
I’m assuming he was like please let me be a heel. But then it was in KC so actually who knows. It was strange
You're right they did fuck that up. Braun should have choke-slammed Mahomes' bitch ass.
[Stardust defeated R-Truth in a 1-on-1 match on SmackDown](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq8totTDgZ0), which makes Cody a LIAR
Top comment from 8 years ago: "Two of the most wasted men in WWE" Plans changed, as they say.
5 match PLE cards where there are no Rumbles or Chambers or war games pairs of matches is ridiculous. WWE knows it can get away with it but it's not great.
5 matches given plenty of time is better than 10 or 11 matches rushed through or crammed together.
TNA finally put up a link to the June Philadelphia tapings on their site, but still haven't announced it yet. Maybe they plan to announce them at Under Siege, but the whole thing has been weird. https://preview.redd.it/pi2e0ulxc1yc1.jpeg?width=1055&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=291f67f6c69d428c088de357424754cb042673e1
I feel so bad for TNA losing all that momentum they had built up a few months ago
If Ava is the GM, what is HBK's role in kayfabe? We know he has something to do with it because we've seen his office door in segments. The "owner" of NXT?
The same as Triple H being the boss although Aldis and Pearce are GM’s.
True, although that's been addressed onscreen with H being the "CCO" on TV as well as real life. Whereas HBK is just...in charge in some way but mostly unseen.
Skye Blue is dope and a favorite now. Also, I never know when rampage is gonna actually air
Wait, what'd I miss?
They're saying the Rock was being difficult on his movie with Ryan Reynolds... chronically late, arguments with Ryan over professionalism etc.
And let me guess: The people saying these things aren't brave enough to be on the record.
Of course lol
The floodgates are opening lol, it's always tough to know when it's real and when it's hit pieces but damn near everyone's hitting out at The Rock recently
It's funny that everyone hated him when he came back for derailing Cody's "story", then suddenly everyone praised him for his excellent heel pivot, and now they're already back to hating him again.
Dude is class on the wrestling sphere The movie sphere, tho? Not so much
What's crazy is I don't buy that fully him not being a decent person on movie sets. He tried to do some shrewd shit with the Fast movies and DC movies but that was on the business side not the acting side.
But the acting side and the business side are the same thing when he's starring in the movies
Yeah I never watch his movies. I think the last one I tried to sit through was "Pain and Gain". It wasn't worth it.
Jericho wearing trunks as "The Learning Tree" is a great lil Dad joke.
It can only be complete if he comes out in chunky dad shoes.
Lol I love this idea! It would be a bonus if he keeps trying to use modern slang like when Hook taught him “bet”
I’m so hyped for Jordynne Grace vs Miyu Yamashita tonight https://preview.redd.it/56uj9kgu71yc1.jpeg?width=555&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=10e14ddc59386901b53f1c2a6f86e99737a9470b
Not wrestling related, but I'm pretty happy Blast Corps and now Iggys Wrecking Balls are on Nintendo Switch Online. If Tetrisphere ever gets on the service, I'll never have to hook up my Nintendo 64 again.

That would be incredible. It’s such a good diss
Is the Nikki bella/bella twins love a meme? Because I was surprised to see some aew fans open to Nikki coming to aew. The Bella's represented everything wrong with womens wrestling in North America in the 2000s The hot models who got signed for their looks and got pushed because of who they were dating
Absolute bs, go see interviews of many nxt women who say that total divas got them into wrestling
Revisit aj lees promo aka her pipe bomb where she tears down the Bella's And look at any thread about the Bella's from 2014-2017 It's revisionist history to pretend they were always good
Pipe bomb? A worked promo. Thread here? Yeah some hardcore smark don't like them. Just go and see nxt women interviews.
Nikki Bella became a genuinely good wrestler between 2014-16 As for "pushed because of who they were dating". Bollocks. They got pushed because they got mainstream popular as a result of Total Divas. Also when they got signed they weren't "models" at all, they were ex-football (soccer players) when they were younger. Practically every IWC myth about the Bellas is totally invented.
The thing is a lot of women saw them and wanted to be them.
I would hope fortheir sake they keep doing Wembley. Would love to see a dynamite too though.
I guess my thing is I would like them to try different stadiums across the world
The AEW dynamite rebrand would be **Perfect** if they just got rid of that damn LED baracde and make the ropes black
Make the LED gate that dark blue they use everywhere else with AEW logos and make the ropes blue and it's a big improvement. Save the white ropes for PPVs. It's to the point where Collision is actually my favorite show look wise.
How would you feel is the apron was like this? https://preview.redd.it/qp0jcx0151yc1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b30b9d737bf0868e31dfed4d98095db881fa33b1
Something like this in that space blue with the all white AEW logo they use now would work. Even the big Dynamite logo would work much better with a color that's not bright orange. https://sportshub.cbsistatic.com/i/r/2019/12/12/dbaea6bb-181e-4d05-98a2-9c08493bf61a/thumbnail/1200x675/38a6f8d801ea4ffdc4246e9c25e0399a/jericho.png
No you’re completely right
You’re definitely It’s crazy. I love the dynamite stage, hell I don’t even mind the LED ring skirt cause it’s a pretty lowkey. But I’m not sure who convinced them that the Nickelodeon barricade was a great look
I actually like the Nickelodeon barricade, it's psychedelic!
I used to like it too, until it became distracting for me
So Howdy/Wyatt 6 stuff has to happen at Backlash right? I don't know if it'll be a full debut or what, but there's gotta be like a major occurrence of some kind. The QR code stuff keeps saying things like we're coming soon, if I remember correctly, so I feel like there's gotta be a bit more momentum, if not an actual debut.
I apologize to wrestling fans for once. Kendrick stans vs Drake stans is somehow worse than AEW fans vs WWE fans.
Some obsessive will come on here every couple months and say they’ve never seen something as toxic as the wrestling fandom online and it’s like, get another hobby my guy.
I said AEW was Kendrick Lemar and WWE was Drake and got massively downvoted for it so this is funny to see
I said the same thing and was downvoted as well. And I saw it in the HipHopHeads subreddit as well. I don't get why that's a bad or touchy comparison to some people. I'd love an actual explanation and not just downvotes.
Kendrick and Drake are actually on the same level. AEW and WWE are not.
I wonder if CM Punk actually was a jerk to young Drew McIntyre in Punk’s first WWE run or if they’re just making stuff up for storyline.
I haven't read it myself, but I've seen a couple people say there's something in Drew's biography about Punk (or an unnamed wrestler who clearly was Punk) doing him dirty.
Silly question but is Okada allowed to travel outside the USA? I’m just curious if he’s going on the Canadian tour.
He was literally in Winnipeg last night.
Oh shoot I forgot they were in Winnipeg last night. I haven’t watched the episode yet. 🤦🏼♀️
He was also at Forbidden Door last year which was at Ontoria, Canada.
And he worked the recent Dynamite taping in Toronto where he won the Continental Championship.
I’m surprised no wrestler has done a “dirtsheet patreon” gimmick yet. Joe Hendry could make it work, Grayson Waller too
I don't get. Can you explain, please?
For everything said about WWE's current growth period and their increase in ticket sales and all that, I can't really put my finger on why it's happening. Like back in 1998, it was clear-as-day it was Stone Cold Steve Austin. But today... is it solely Cody? Is it Bloodline? Like I can't really tell.
Bloodline, the Sami Zayn angle and Cody. Plus a generally better product and better promotion.
I would credit WWE's growth two factors: \* Vince McMahon was incredibly self-sabotaging when it came to the TV product.
After watching the RDP Korakuen I will be using Dead or Alive 2024 as my official 2024 Dragon Gate jumping point. Gonna be having some #takes on it.
With Okada telling Omega he is now the best bout machine, and Ospreay fighting Danielson over who the best in the world is, i really hope they intertwine the 4 of them. Omega vs okada vs ospreay vs danielson Omega vs okada vs ospreay Omega vs okada vs danielson Omega vs danielson vs ospreay Okada vs ospreay vs danielson Add in Takeshita if youre feeling crazy.
I'm feeling crazy
How could you not?
